Use a toothpick to dip it in, and you'll find that the little hole will be covered with chocolate. Make sure you lay them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and they should come out perfectly. They you can pipe an alternate chocolate if you like.
Good question, I'm starting to make mine tomorrow & was wondering the same thing.
You can buy a truffle spoon thingo for dipping, but a toothpick works fine![]()
