I am no expert but if you menstrual cycle is generally 7 days long and your have 23 days in between 7+23=30 There for i would say you have a 30 day cycle (the length of your cycle includes the time you are menstruating) and you would ovulate approx 9 days after you finish your period (on day 16) or you could look at it as 14 days b4 your next one is due. However some ppl can ovulate earlier or later iykwim. Can you tell when you are ovulating due to your discharge (cm) that is one way i always know i never have to keep track of dates etc. If not maybe you could start temping etc

To tell you the truth I would not know what to look for.

When i am ovulating and most fertile (generally 48hrs or so) my CM is an egg white consistency and clear almost like a jelly consistency iykwim- sorry TMI i know. At other times in my cycle my CM has a whiter colour to it and there isnt as much of it so i can generally tell this way. Maybe you dont know what to look for cos you've never paid attention iykwim. Cant hurt to keep an eye out to see if it helps.
