Well girls, no big temp jump for me today--temp stayed about the same as yesterday! I have a feeling this means AF will be pounding her way through my door by the end of the weekend! I'm ok with it, though, it's just not my time yet. So looks like I'll be getting to use up that Preseed and get a little more practice taking temps... Wish I could just invite AF to join me earlier so I can get this show back on the road!

Acria--Good luck with the crystals, carrots and bananas! Hope AF takes it easy on you!

pbstar--Good luck with the Chinese herbalist, it helps make your cycles a little more normal!

Van--Oh, good, I knew you'd be back! Just couldn't stay away from us, huh? Praying AF packs her back quick--keep up with that pushing, and let me know if it actually helps! Definitely smelling something pungent from the bathroom, but there's nothing sweet about it!

betty--Good luck with the BT results! for some nice, high numbers for you!

plc--Aww, honey, you need all the sleep you can get while you can get it! Only 4 sleeps to go!! Bring on the second trimester!!

Easha--I've been taking 2 Vit. B6/day, so 100 mcg. Although I started a new prenatal vitamin last week that has B6 in it (my old ones didn't have any), so now I may be taking too much! Maybe I'll cut it back to just 1/day now. Hope you enjoy your conference, and don't forget to pack that thermometer, missy! Will look forward to catching up with you on Sunday!

Krystie--Ooh, you are beautiful! It's funny, you look almost exactly like you type (does that make sense?)--I just mean that you look almost exactly the way I pictured you would look! I took a pic of myself yesterday, going to try to figure out how to upload it today--would also like to try to add pics of the family, so wish me luck! Your DSS's are cute--they look a lot like their dad! I'm so glad you've got your talkativeness back! (it's a word in my vocab, so no worries, you're good!) Hope you enjoy your night out tonight, sounds like a lot of fun! I want to party with you! Tell mom I said Happy Birthday!

Thanks smilanatu! I'm going to work on that as soon as I'm done posting! It seems like I remember there used to be a link on the right side that you could just click on if a person had pics in their gallery--but I can't find that link or your pics anywhere! I'll see what I can figure out... thanks for the link!

Ok, I figured out how to add my pics--there's 2 of me in the gallery, and 1 of my DS Noah! (couldn't figure out how to rotate the pic, though, so it's sideways) The pic of Noah is actually from last year when he graduated from kindergarten. Will try to add a few more showing the rest of the family. So do I look anything like anyone thought--they're not the greatest of pics, but it's me! Added one more of me with the kids, tho it may be a little too far away to get a good look. I'm the second one on the left--it's kinda hard to tell because my oldest DSD is taller than me, so she looks like the parent instead of me! Thanks again for your help smilanatu!!!

Uh oh, just went to the bathroom and noticed some pink when I wiped. Looks like AF heard me asking her to come early... damn it! I guess you should be careful what you ask for!

I'm completely hopeless! I'm still comparing charts in the chart gallery, but now I'm looking for >15DPO with spotting before +HPT! There's actually quite a few that had spotting on 15DPO, yet still ended up with a BFP on 16/17DPO. So far no more spotting, believe me I keep checking every 5 minutes! I'm really not holding out too much hope, though, just trying to pass some time and keep my mind occupied.

    Hi there everyone,

A big congrats to those with BFPs

AFM, AF arrived yesterday at 13 DPO and the day before I was due for my preg BT (part of the IUI cycle). At least on the bright side, we have finally lengthened my LP from 9 days up to 12 days.

So we'll be moving on to our second IUI cycle now, here's hoping for some luck this time around. Sorry for the short post, but I'm really just feeling a bit annoyed and over it all really!!

plc - thanks I'll bear the recommendation in mind!

Easha - will be interested to see what people say about the B6 and LP lengthening. Let me know how you go.

Krystie - I found a decaf Dilmah in Woolworths, and it's okay. Obviously doens't have the taste of Twining's English Breakfast, which is my usual. But when tyring to cut out caffiene, and you're deserpate for a cup of tea, well it's not so bad And you must be so proud of your DH, I know I would be! Sadly, I can't work out how to see the photo you put up Will have to keep working on it! Sounds like you'll have a great time! Oh, lol..just found the pics, and I concur with the other girls! Absolutely lovely!

Megsmum - sorry to hear AF showed up. I'm sending a bunch of positive vibes your way. Look after yourself

AFM - Well, Af still in full swing, and I ate a whole block of chocolate last night and didn't do any exercise. Oh dear. If I don't get ready for work now I'll be late, BB addiction!

    Lisa xx

Jen - thanks Not sure how I'm going to manage to eat whole carrots..as I'm not that keen on them, but oh well! We'll see. Still got my fingers crossed for you. I know that sinking feeling wehn you see pink or red, but as you say, others have had spotting and still gotten a BFP, so hopes up!

Megsmum - sorry about that wretched AF. What a big difference you have made to your luteal cycle, so at least there has been an achievement of sorts, this month. Good luck with your second cycle

Acria - your cycle sounds very frustrating. I tried B6, though my cycle was a decent length, but I wanted it also because I had heard that it may help with conception. The first month I tried it (50MG in my Blackmore's vitamins plus 50mg extra = 100mg a day) my cycle lengthened by one day. But having read what PBStar said it might be worth consulting with a naturopath first. Really hope things improve for you!

Jen - I have posted to you on another forum but your chart is still nicely above that coverline! for you, hon.

Vanaithi - sorry you have been feeling down about AF. I completely understand (I was so scared to test on Monday before my FS appointment I did not sleep at all the night before). I love your rose quartz idea. I used to carry one in my pocket when I was a young-thing for good luck. They are the loooovvvee crystal. And I know there is nothing you would love more than a lovely BFP this month. You did have a triphasic pattern, which, from my obsessive internet reading, is apparantly a very good sign for TTC in general (I wrote about this in my last post to you). I wish you all this best this month, Sweetie

Easha - have fun at your conference.

Krystielove - Your DH sounds quite the funkster. I would be proud of him, too. Your job sounds amazing. Don't know if I could stomach it. The things you have to do!! for your "tell-all" temperature today.

Smilantu - thank you for being my first official BB friend

AFM - doing ok. Paranoidly analysing how I am feeling each day (ie, am I dizzier/tireder/anything-at-all-er, compared to the day before. And I am only 4.5 weeks! Will try not to drive myself (or you guys) nuts.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Can I please add to the tea conversation?

I had my GP (paperwork) appointment yesterday and asked about green and white tea. I have been having one cup of Prince of Wales before breakfast (my godsend while TTC) and have been having one White Tea with mint (for TTC) and one green tea a day. He was not bothered so much about the caffeine as to where it is grown. I don't know if it because I am high risk but he told me not to drink tea grown in China because it has too many pesticides. I went through my kitchen cupboard and all my teas were imported (they don't say where from). He told me to use Australian tea (and he is Chinese!)

On a sad note, he also told me to avoid my cat completely. I know about toxoplasmosis, but thought it would be ok to pat her. He said I would have to be extremely careful and to leave that to DH Feeling guilty. My goregous tortie manx is 17.5 years old...

BettyBoop - I have already posted to you in the 2WW thread, but congras again

    Hi everyone,

It's been a few days. I haven't been feeling really well. Threw up early (4am) on Wednesday morning and have been feeling queezy since (no, I'm not preg. Had my blood test on Thursday arvo and hCG was at 2). Did some more painting today on the carport, and have spent the last hour or TWO catching up on what I have missed! Boy oh boy!
So sorry if my replies are a bit all over the shop. I'm just replying as I read!

Jenushka - I was the one who was a nana. Welcome to the nana's club!! Where in Hamilton? Not the ritzy part. We're not rich. Wouldn't mind if we were though! We're in walking distance to Bretts Wharf and Portside Wharf. It's lovely, but we don't eat there $$. I'm a bit of a scab when it comes to spending money What hospital are you planning on going to for your bubba? We'll go to the RBH.

Arcia - I agree with Jen, temping is addictive. Be careful!

NicksterUK - Hi! Nice to meet you. What is iykwim? Thanks for your feedback. How's your belly going? Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Vanaithi & Arcia - I think I'll jump on the banana and carrot banwagon (is that how you spell it??) I pretty much have a banana a day, the carrots are a bit boring, but dipping them in peanut butter helps. The banana and carrot growers will love you!

Easha - How was your conference. Did you manage to get though it and stay sane?

KL - Removing a stocking from a dog. Hmmm. Sounds like fun. I think I'll stick with my 10 year olds, even if some of them do have attitudes!! That would be beautiful if your bubba was due on your wedding anniversary!! I'm hoping for that too. Ours is the 5th of April! I don't know when I'll O cause I haven't had AF since mc. Just have to wait and see! Be careful going out nana!! What a hastle, you have to shave your legs. Don't you just hate that! Good on your DH for being the Godfather of Funk! Maybe soon he can be the FATHER of funk too! I like the idea of your Melbourne Meet up. Does anyone know if we have one in Brissy? I know there's a group of those who are preg, but what about a TTC group? It would be nice to be able to chat about it in real person with out boring the others to tears. Happy belated birthday to your mum.
Glad to hear you had a great night. And well done on showing up the X!! Sounds like you had a really great night. Don't tell me you're leaving the nana's club?!

Jen - I know what you mean. If AF is going to come, just come already so you can start over again!! I am just reading through all the posts as I send this one (making sure not to miss anyting out), and you mentioned the carrots and peanut butter thing too. They recon that peanut butter is good for you in preg too. ?? So that's handy.

WTH - I'm sure you couldn't drive us nuts if you tried!

Tina - Hope your weekend was wonderful, and included lots of BDing

Smilanatu - No good to hear that Lee is broken. Maybe try a paddle pop stick and some gaffer tape!!

Tutmae - Hi! I'm Joey. Nice to meet you. And the clairvoyant said TWO babies? How do you feel about twins?

Tempus Moriendi - Nice to meet you too.

AJC - Glad to hear you are nearing the end of your 1st trimester. A job well done!

WTH - THANK YOU!!! If you know what's going on, you feel in control. Thanks for the support. I'm sure they care, they just don't know how to do it the helpful way right now!

KL - Lucky for you, your DH's eyes just glaze over. Mine looks at me as though I am from another planet! Thanks for the support.

Hugs to you all. I would go crazy without you all.

AFM - I need to convince my DH that I am NOT addicted to BB and I am not obsessed with charting and my life does NOT revolve around TTC. Any suggestions on how to do this? All the fuss is turning him off. Noooooooooooo

Sounds like you need a hug joey.....

Joey - it's so frustrating when people say what they think will help but it infact does the opposite. They really don't know what it is like to go through what us ladies in here have been through. That is why I joined BB because the only people who made me feel better were the people in here. Even though i love my DH more than anything, he just didn't have the right words to comfort me. Same with our parents, they care about us so much but they both had two healthy children have no idea what you go through when you have a m/c.

I started temping after my first m/c. After the d&c my cycle went back to normal straight away but after 4 months when I wasn't pg again I got really stressed and my cycle (which was stricly 29/30 days prior to that) went totally whacko. I convinced myself twice that I was pg when really my cycle was just late. So not only did I experience the frustration of getting af - then realising that we'd bd at the wrong time made matters even worse. I bought my bbt thermometer half way through my cycle but started using it straight away (just prior to O) and I couldn't believe how much it told me about my cycle even when i hadn't been through a whole month. Next month it was a BFP. I bought one of those maybe baby saliva things but it didn't work for me. I also tried opk's but they didn't work either (until I found some midstream ones).

My temping I felt I was in control of my cycle and at least at the end of each month I knew we'd given i our best shot rather than wonder 'did we bd at the right time' etc. Good luck with it - happy temping.

    Sending you a million

    Jen,

A new addition for "you know you're addicted to BB when ..."

Your DH comments that he's your family, not the girls!!
