Kit: my heart was also pounding when i saw your post. I'm not sure what to say. I'm with you: information makes me happy too. I can't think of one reason why not to go. I bled from 9 weeks with my last pregnancy and i was in the private system with a very sympathetic OB who had an ultrasound machine in his rooms and told me to come back as often as i wanted. He did scans every week to check the baby's heart beat. I only went for a 'proper' u/s at 12 weeks. (Not sure if you are going private or public and you have access to this). Bleeding does not always mean bad news. It's a wait and see game unfortunately. Basically, the risk of m/c decreases every week the closer you get to 12 weeks. I'm not sure if resting up or not makes a difference but i did get told not to BD while there is bleeding. I'm hoping your HCG numbers mean everything is on track and this is just one of those 'scare the hell out of your mum' baby tricks. Tell little tiger to behave herself!
Forshelby: i got OPKs in the chemist (next to the pregnancy tests they usually have ovulation predictor kits). There are expensive though. I haven't tried internet ones.
Thank you all for the lovely welcome :-)
TTCaLC It's good news that at least one is working! Hopefully it's working double time for you to make up for the other one.
Reet My plan is to head down to my GP if AF hasn't arrived in the next few days. I never thought I'd ever want it to come so badly!! lol. I think the crystal thing is pendulum divination? I had a similar situation recently! I went to visit my family over Mother's day and my aunt (who I later found out "sees" all of the babies who come in to our family before they come) asked me when I'm going to test again. I was a bit shocked at first, but she said she saw it happening before xmas this year :o and I thought that would be lovely!
forshelby I understand exactly what you mean about it becoming more manageable. There are times when it feels so raw but more and more lately I feel like it's ok. I have been for some grief counseling which really helped, particularly since this year has been such a rollercoaster ride - I lost my grandmother, found out I was preggers then had the m/c, all within a 6 week period!
Kit I'm so sorry you've had all of this stress today *hugs*. As the other ladies have said, you've got fantastic numbers and you've seen the heartbeat, so things look very good so far even with your bleed. I would still go to the scan. Even if it's not needed, I'm sure it will help ease your mind more if you see the baby again in a couple of days.
my goodness... all that writing and I will forgot something! lol
Reet Thank you VERY much for that link! I can't believe how cheap they are! I've already placed an order lol. I couldn't work out if I should buy in bulk to save money, or think positively and only buy a small pack. I decided to think positively ;)
Murraycod.. wohooo im so excited for you 27 eggs! WOW never seen that before.. best wishes to you i bet this is your month!!

Oof, I love you guys, thank you so much. I think I will go to the scan. No more bleeding, which is sooo good. I'm sorry if anything I said made you guys sad, I just needed a de-brief and you guys are a soft spot to land (it's a compliment!). Whenever and whoever has the next scare, I hope I can be as good for them as you guys were for me xo
Going to watch me some bad morning TV, awesome.

All of our embies are doing great, had 1 beutifulllooking perfect grade transfered yesterday, have 5 other blasties so far and all others are still growing strong!
I am so conciouse of what is inside me ATM, I rekon I have sneezed 20 or so times since ET which has made me freak out!!! LOL!!!!
OMG this is going to be a tough tough wait.
I will come back shortly to read up on how everyone has been doing, and do some persies XXXXX Love you all XXXX
Kit- dont be sorry for saying things that cld have made us sad! dont be silly! i think it just brought back painful/ scary/ sad memories... i was feeling so so sorry for u throughout ur whole post.. u guys will be the first ppl i turn too if something is to happen like that to me. Glad u have us that u can talk too. I wish i had u guys when i went thru m/c, i started bleeding on a sat and thought that i had to wait til the monday to get a doctors appointment.. my weekend was absolute hell.. my valentines day cldnt have been worse! now i know that if i had u guys u wld have told me to go straight to the emergency room! Im much wiser now :) its so nice and helpful to have ppl that understand how ur feeling and what ur going thru. We're here for u kit! x
MsKara- Glad to help u out! they're much cheaper over the internet. Good on u for positive thinking too.. hopefully u only need a few! Oh and lets hope ur aunt is right.. woudnt that be wonderful!! :)
Forshelby- I forgot to comment on ur pharmacy experience! it sounds awful! i dont think thats a stupid question at all.. and really who cares how far along u are anyway.. whether u be 1 week or 9 months theres certain things u shldnt take! I went and saw the pharmacist last week cos i always read in the drug information leaflets to see ur dr or pharmacist if any of the symptoms occur etc. So i thought i wld.. well he was no help AT ALL!!! i asked him why i cld be bleeding after taking clomid and he told me i have to see my gyno to find out cos he doesnt know. How ridiculous! i really think they need to stop writing that in leaflets if they really cant help at all! So yes i wont be going to my local pharmacist for any help in the future either :)
AFM- I am becoming crazy and obsessed i think! Im pretty sure i slept all nite last nite but u know when u have those sleeps where ur mind doesnt stop all nite?? well all i was thinking about was how many days roughly until implantation shld occur if i am pg, its not hard for me to work out now im awake but the maths and days etc were running thru my head all nite.. its so ridiculous!! i woke up this morning not rested at all. U guys probly dont understand this craziness cos i dont either really!! haha. Now i understand the 2ww thing u have all been talking about.. drives u INSANE!!! hahaha
x
Murraycod- thanks for letting us know how ur doing! it sounds like u are doing fantastically!!! so so so happy for u!!! xxxx
Helloo All,
MurrayCod - So happy for u you my Darling...my fingers, toes all crossed for you this month. I hope everything goes well for you...and I am praying worry stays away from you and you get dreams of little bub, good healthy joyful pregnancy and happiness knocks on your door this month. My prayers and wishes are with you Murray...Hope ALL IS WELL AND ALL GOES WELL.
Kit - BIG HUGS to you. I can understand what you have gone through, but see the positive aspect that you saw a fluttering HB and a Strong HB, think about this . This will give you peace of mind and re assurance that everything is well. Just look after yourself.
Anita - I hope you feel well soon and get that magical BFP soon.
Ferrals - How are you doing dear? U too are taking break from BB, not coming often, well i think we all need sometimes some space and unwind urself.
Crafty - how are you going?
Matthew's Mum, Mummyof4, Possam Magic, Reet, Snugglybean = how are you all?
AFM - I am sorry that i was away and feeling guilty that I am telling you all now. You all must be thinking tat I am mean and selfish, but I am not. I am fighting with my fears and anxiety. I got my BFP on Mother's Day (9th May) and since then I am suffering from severe cold and flu and coughing non-stop, not going to work and surrounded by all different thoughts (good and bad). But I thought to tell you all as you helped and supported in my low times and I wish everyone in the forum all the very best for TTC journey and I am praying to God it would be short and sweet.
I am still try to sink in my BFP and that I am pregnant, but I am so sick that I thought to wait. My first u/s is on Thrusday and i am very scared and worried.
Will speak to you all very soon.
Love, Ric
Kit - I am so glad to hear that things have settled a bit for you. I truly understand how paralysed with fear you have been. So my advice Rest up with your pelvis elevated by a pillow ( my Ob always recommends rest, says there is no hard and fast medical evidence to support it but in his experience and anecdotally, it is helpful), my ob also says some women just bleed in pregnancy and there is no rhyme or reason and they go on to deliver and happy and healthy baby at term, I know it's hard to believe you will be one of those women right now, but believe, GO TO THE SCAN ON FRIDAY, and finally, go gently on your self. I am so sorry that you are having such a tough time right now.....
Murray - I am so happy for you sweet cakes..... miracle little cod nesting away inside, a little sneeze won't dislodge our LC because our LC is stuck in their with super LC glue.
Miss Kara - welcome back, missed seeing you around the place. Hopefully your journey is short.
Crafty - glad to hear you are so positive. I taught myself how to cast off and cast on yesterday. I am all aglow with self pride thinking I am so smart! Hope you go well in your 3WW...
Alice - it is the small things......how's that chai ( it was you right? and not Forshelby who got the chai.... forgive me Dory moment).
AFM - you guys had me ROTFL with you not at you about the difference between "fall out" and EWCM..... I don't have anything to add, except thanks for making me see some lighter sides to tcc.
T hopes - how you doing? Any funny business to report?
Hi to everyone else, I won't go through individually - brain fog, battery running low on the lap top and I am busting!! Take care my sweets, and holding always in my heart.
Ric - we must have cross posted - congratulations:clap: I am clapping and dancing for you. So so happy. Go you good girl!
Ric - congratulations sweety....we don't think you're awful, you must do what you have to do!! sending you heaps of sticky vibes
Ric you little tinker how could you keep that news from us for so long !!!! shame on you ! no seriously I understand you completely bet you just waiting to mc again and think its not going to stick don't you ! WELL ITS NOT ALWAYS LIKE THAT ! you can have piece and be happy people do get healthy pregnancies after mc I for one am proof of that , so my girl congratulations and be kind to yourself we are so pleased on of the longtimers has a BFP !!!! YAY FOR MAY !
sorry ladies went a bit mad there but everywhere I look people are getting BFPS so I know I am due one real soon and so is everyone else you see we have to beleive it and it does happen !!!!
Murraycod your next after me and ferrals !!! ( only as we are testing before you )
Reet- Thanks for the link! I'll be checking that one out as soon as I finish on BB for the night. Not sure if I'll get any this month, but I like to do my research before I do anything, so it's good to have the info I need. I tried googling but I got frustrated easily, lol. I was trying to avoid having to order online, but since they're so expensive at Woolies, I might as well. I feel bad for saying this, but I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's had a crappy pharmacy experience, lol. Did you end up finding out why you were bleeding on clomid?? I also understand what you mean about being driven crazy by the TWW.... I'm on cd9 today and already BUSTING to test. Of course, that would be a waste of my one and only HPT, as I'm positive I haven't even O'd yet. LOL... I know logically it would be a huge waste, but I'm just so dang excited. :) Every month for the last 2 years I've been hoping for some kind of spontaneous bcp malfunction, so I feel like I've been at this for a lot longer than oh, 10 days. Hahaha.... Seriously though, try to get some sleep or you won't have any energy for more bd. No harm in getting in a few extra during the TWW to keep you too exhausted to even think! :) How many dpo are you?? I'll countdown with you, until I can countdown myself. Hehe
Possum Magic - Thanks for the opk advice, the chemist will be my last resort though after my strange paracetamol question experience.... lol
MsKara - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. That must have been awful. I myself never went to grief counselling, it might sound stupid but I kind of counselled myself. I just surfed the net endlessly searching for answers. I didn't find many, but I did find all of you, so it wasn't a complete waste of a couple of years. :)
Kit - I am so glad your bleeding has stopped! That's a great sign! Mine never did stop when I had my mc, just got heavier and heavier. It was so disheartening, and I just wanted to scream at my body to STOP. It didn't help having no support from DP, either. He was so busy being afraid of fatherhood, he forgot all about me. That was hard. Although your bleeding episode has brought back some memories, I still would never expect you to apologize for coming here for support. You can say whatever you need to say here, good or bad and I don't think a single woman on here would judge you for that. That's why I love this place so much. Keep us posted, and are you going to your u/s?? I'm glad I'm not the only one who would have wanted to go! You do what you feel is right, to hell with some random nurse.
Murraycod - Best of luck with your ET!! I can't wait to hear your pg announcement. I know it'll be coming very very soon. :) Just think, technically, you're pg right now!
Ric - Good luck with your u/s. Don't feel bad for not sharing the news sooner, I totally understand. And of course, CONGRATU-FREAKIN-LATIONS!!! :) so excited for you.
Dory - I'm so impressed that you learned to cast on and off. Those can be the hardest parts, I think. Pity they're the most vital, lol. Keep up with the knitting. Maybe we can start some kind of a knitting trend? :)
AFM, still having random and mild backpain. Other than that, all is good. No spotting, no nothing. Some slight headaches which I'm putting down to the lack of artificial hormones. Although it's hard to be sure because I am prone to headaches. If I'm hungry, extremely thirsty, stressed, subjected to loud noises for long periods, I get a headache. It's hard to pinpoint the cause, but for now I'm blaming bcp because I hate them. Yes, you heard me, little pills sitting in the garbage bin. You belong in there you horrible little pills! LOL.
I also have a question. Assuming I O on day 14-16 (pretty standard as I've always been very regular) what are the best days for BD? I was thinking day 12, 14 and 16 should do the trick nicely. Now I just have to find a way to attack DP 3 times in a week rather than the usual once. I've done pretty well so far, getting 2 in one week, and even one on a weeknight! (Is it bad that I'm only 25 and have grown accustomed to scheduled weekend only sex?? LOL) It might be time to bust out that lingerie again. Seems a waste when it comes off again so fast though................
Oh Kit, I'm so sorry you had that awful day and THANK GOODNESS your DH was with you. I would be scared witless with the bleeding, you sound like you handled it very well, you are very strong. Firstly - so lovely that you heard a heartbeat!! And your levels sound great!! I just wanted to tell you there was a woman in my BB group who bled - lots, like you have described - and is still going strong with her pg. With her, they said it was from a blood clot near her cervix and wasn't anything to do with mc but she went through a terrible time worrying about it. I'm so relieved that your bleeding has stopped - please do what your mum says and lay down for as long as you can or need to! Trash TV is good - maybe not time for True Blood? (weak attempt to make you smile). I also believe chocolate would be very helpful at this point - and lots of cups of tea (did you read my post about Chocolate Chai...mmm, it is good and no caffeine). Big hugs to you lovely, yes and definitely I would go Friday - why wouldn't you? I didn't understand that at all. Knowledge is power and, I think, it gives us strength. You will have a positive scan and it will give you strength to believe all will be well. Lots of love to you x
MurryCod!!! Clever woman - I'm smiling ear to ear for you - been busting all day to get home and read how you are doing. WONDERFUL news - 5 blasties and counting and a lovely perfect little one snuggling in right now!!!! Well done!!!! We're here for your crazy TWW - god I hope it flies by for you, I think it's going to send me a bit mad waiting too!! Rest up and try to enjoy this time (remembering that you are pregnant until proven otherwise!). I had a little mantra I would say to myself last time I was in the TWW (and I made DH say it too) "hatch, attach and grow" "hatch, attach and grow". I'm saying it for you now! Sounds so hopeful for you xxx
Ric!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a beautiful Mothers' Day present!! Can't believe you could hold out on us for all those weeks!! Wonderful news - I hope you have a very happy and healthy pg x
Crafty - your turn next, then me!!
So for no more persies tonight, a bit brain dead and tired so heading off to bed.
AFM - had a really positive session with the TCM doctor today - she was very pleased with my chart, temps getting high and hormones seem to be evening-out. Diet is really agreeing with me (now I'm over my grumpiness and have got myself organised, I'm actually enjoying taking more time to cook and prepare yummy things for myself and still have had no sugar cravings which has made a huge difference to how I'm feeling). Still blissfully happy that have given the crap job the flick and no longer have to expend precious energy on it but can put some in reserve and last night I had a dream and in it DH was holding a baby in a harness and I was pushing a pram too! Twins!! That's how positive I'm feeling!! One, just one, will be more than enough for me.
Sweet dreams all,
Alice x
First of all- Ric- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What a great mothers day present!!! :) Be sure to keep us filled in with how u are going. Everything will be just fine for u x
Forshelby- God u make me laugh!!! :) haha and i thought i was crazy wanting to test now..AFTER i have o'ed!! ur wanting to test before u even have hahaha.. good on u girl.. love ur enthusiasm towards it all :) and yeah i reckon day 12, 14 and 16 shld be good for u to bd on.. i do reckon u shld get some opks tho if u do want to try really hard this month.. cos u cld be later..or earlier then that..especially since ur bding is on a weekend schedule lol.. or u might just have to seduce ur dp every 2nd nite until the end of ur cycle..just incase! And i know u just forgot, but thanks for rubbing it in about how i shld bd to keep my mind occupied.. my dh is working away!!!! Good one forshelby!! just cos u can have ur way whenever u want!! hahahaha, but nah hes back on friday for a week.. yay! so we'll be bding quite a bit i imagine. He doesnt ever let me get away with going one nite without it, even when he has 6 weeks off over xmas.. i actually look forward to him going away so i can have some time off! hahaha :) im glad he has a high sex drive tho, cos mine is almost non existent.. i blame it on being on bcps for so so many years!
Im on cd20 and around 5dpo.. im pretty sure i o'ed last thurs.. well according to opks i did.. but since i was randomly bleeding, im not really sure what was going on!! if im not pg this month all i can hope is that my af comes naturally in a weeks time and i can start seriously ttc next month! I am over my messed up body! I cant believe what the bcps did to me.. plus the mc didnt help at all either. But no i didnt find out why i was bleeding, cldnt be bothered trying to get an appointment with my gyno, i just figured that maybe the progesterone tablets i took a couple weeks ago to make me get af finally properly kicked in.. but who knows really.. i dont!!! all i can hope is that im either pg or my body does exactly what it shld next month! :)
Anyway i hope ur headaches go away soon.. drink heaps of water! :) x
Just a quick one from me, need to get to bed.. early start in the morning!
Goodnite all xxx
Alice your dream is going to come true, just a matter of time, June/July is not far away, and I am going to be there through it all the way babe X
Glad your session today wen't well, and glad to hear all that hard work you are doing is paying off.
Oh I sooo wish I could quit my job. I think the only thing that keeps me going, is the hope of being able to take maternity leave withing the next....ah....seven months, but I feel like I am kidding myself.
Ric, wow you did hold out on us! Congratulations X
Forshelby, LMAO at you busting out the lingeree to have school night sex!!!!! OMG, 'sigh'.
Yeah those days sound pretty fine to me, I'd sneak one more in somewhere, to seal the deal X TBH, my sex life is non existent ATM. After the biopsy, I was in too much pain, then I got AF 4 days after that, got a few quickies in whils starting my injections, then became too sore again, post EPU, too sore, post ET, still a bit tender, more scared too!!! Didn't even get a look in, for my 30th Bday last week, that is totally depressing. The only thing my Bejayjay has seen on a regular basis for the past month is a speculum or dildocam.............ok now I'm depressing myself.......
I'll move on.....
Crafty, so you getting in before me Huh??!!?? That's ok, you can test the waters first!! I'm too scared!
Dory, thanks for checking in on me, love to you XX
Reet, I had a dream the night before my ET, that I was at work, and did a full 8hr shift. Yeup, sick patients, showereing old people and all. Even the same biaaatches i hate to think about when I'm awake!! I woke up stressed out and totally exhausted from working in my sleep!!!
Kit, My Darling, promise me that you will take it easy XXX Love to you XXX
Girls, I know I don't wan't to bother you too early into this, but how am I mean't to hold any hope, when I am constantly cramping?? I hate cramping.
MurryCod my love I had really strong cramps in my TWW before getting our BFP, so strong that I was convinced AF was on her way. It is normal to have cramps, it doesn't mean this little embie isn't going to stick. Don't forget you will be physically exhausted from the last 10 days of injections and your egg pick up, not to mention a drive to and from Adelaide. You need to rest, as much as you can. I know my FS is happy to give me doctors certificates for as long as I need. Even if you can skip work just for the next two days to let yourself recover some energy that would be good. And don't feel guilty about it! You don't need to washing the oldies right now - I worked as a nurse assistant in a nursing home for years so I know how tiring and demanding that work is. Give yourself a break if you can. It's hard not to analyse every single twinge and pain, I know, just rest please and re-read Twilight and eat chocolate and know that there is nothing you can do now that you haven't already done - what will be, will be. And the fact you've had such excellent fertilisation rates and great little embies shows your body is ready and can do this - you are in with a good chance lovely, you are. Big hugs - you post as often as you need to. xxx
PS Bah about your sex life - it will come back! You've had five years TTC, a mc and three rounds of IVF - it's not exactly conducive to bding! Even if you feel like it you're too damn sore to think about it! When you recover from all the prodding and poking, you'll feel like it again. It's the least of your worries right now - lots of love and hugs is what you need. And chocolate. Did I mention chocolate?
Alice, I don't know what I'd do without you, but you just made my day so much happeir reading that. Love you X
I took 2 weeks off work just before my EPU, so don't have to worry about hospitals for another week and a bit!!!!!XXXXX
Murraycod: Cramping is good, you tell that lil bubba to dig! DIG! And then stay there.
Alice: In tune with June sounds like it's gonna be on like Donkey Kong :) I did like the trueblood joke :)
Ric: Cheeky! LOL - so happy for you babe, I know it's hard, but believe, just believe.
Reet: Oooh 5DPO! We have such a love/hate relationship with our bodies, it's so hard to know what's going on! Trust though :)
Forshelby: LMAO, it'll be worth it love. But hold off on the testing! Good luck!
Ok, I'm gonna go lie down again. Love to everyone that I missed (Crafty! Dory! eep, everyone else!) Still no more bleeding, definitely going to scan on friday, knowledge is good :)
Mwa xo xo
Reet - Your response gave me a good chuckle. I was lmao while making that post..... hahaha. At least I'm having fun with this. For now! And yes, I totally forgot your DH is away. Do you think I could blame it on pre-baby brain? lol. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I'm sure even with him being away, if he's randy enough to be giving you bd every night, you probably still have more sex than me! Now it's my turn to be sad... lol. I hope the random bleeding doesn't come back, and even moreso, I hope you're pg right now! If not, then yes, in tune for June sounds like a plan. I'm still focussing on yay for May though. I'm about to head out right now to run some errands, so it might be worth getting some OPKS. Should I, or shouldn't I......... I guess my bank balance will answer the question for me. I'll let you know what it decided for me. Haha. Oh, and I can't help it, but you're my favourite. We're close in age, too so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I can't explain it, you're just my favourite. :) Thanks for making me smile.
Murraycod - Don't feel bad about not having much bd lately, I figure you've done plenty of work in that department over the last 5 years. Let's call it a 'holiday from bd'. :) And try not to worry about the cramping. I too had intense cramps just before I got my BFP, and was so sure af was on her way i didn't test for a week! Those cramps continued but fairly mildly right up to 7w6d when I mc'd. I'm pretty sure it's all normal, but I know how worrisome it can be. Maybe it would help to imagine the cramping as your little one burrowing in? I can see it now, little embie with shovel in hand, digging away in there. No wonder you're cramping..... hehe
Kit - So good to see you're in higher spirits today. I'm really hopeful for you. I don't know why, I just have a good feeling about this. You can do it! Rest up, and take advantage of the excuse to sloth around a bit. I sure wish I had the opportunity to do it more. Pity my office chair doesn't recline further. :)
AFM, I'm having a pretty crap day pain wise. Still with the backpain. Today it's actually quite bad, and has got me a bit confused. Gee, confused. That's an original emotion on this forum, lol. I had some cramps too earlier so I'm not sure what's going on. Starting to feel a bit concerned, as endo runs in my family. For the last few months I've had some backpain and cramping on and off the whole month, but no heavy bleeding etc so I'm not hitting any panic buttons just yet. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing it??
Hi Ladies...just wishing you all the best and hoping for those BFPs.
I hope to be back on the TTC train from Sept!
HI girls
Just a quick one from work but sorry it will be all about me.... will post properly tonight...
Just saw my new FS and he is woncerful however I have polycystic ovaries :( and suspects maybe some more endo. He did the dildo cam  on me and showed about 14-16 follies on each and even though im day 20 of my cycle, he doesnt think ived o'ed yet! He said it will be a long cycle! Im having bloods done tomorrow to check if i O'ed, if i have, great, if i havent then looking at Clomid!
Im booked in for a laproscopy, d& C, hystoscopy and dye test (for my tubes)!
Its all happening, he also works for MelBourne IVF so were in good hands!
Ill be back later lovies.
Congrats to RIC!!!! Great work love! xx
Hi T-Hopes
I have PCOS as well. FX you have O'd on your own. I'm also on clomid. It's very interesting to see your ovaries on the screen and actually see what they are talking about.
Hi girls,
I was wondering if I could join your thread? I know Porsche from another thread (Hi!)
A bit about me; the abridged version.
PCOS, uterine polyp (removed feb 10)
3 m/c in the past year whilst on clomid & now on metformin, gonal f (FSH injections) and clexane (blood thinner) to begin when I fall pregnant
1 DS who's 3, conceived on clomid, perfectly normal pregnancy, emergency ceasar birth
I was mostly just wondering if anyone knows a good FS who either specialises in pregnancy after recurrent m/c or in PCOS? Mine's a bit of a dud on both accounts, unfortunately! (I'm not wearing "It's just bad luck..." as a response)
Thanks guys
Bec
T-hopes - Sorry to hear about the PCOS. That really sucks. And the dildo cam.... although I can't help but giggle a little bit whenever I see those words. :) I hope you do indeed O soon, and best of luck with your tests!
Becnxavi- WELCOME! Of course you can join in, I'm technically a TTC noob, and the ladies here have been very welcoming to me. (Thanks, girls... ) I've been lurking for a long time though, so that's why I'm only a technical newbie. lol. I don't have any advice about your FS question, unfortunately... but I just wanted to say hi and welcome. I'm so sorry about your 3 mc's. One is hard enough imho. I couldn't imagine 3 in a row. My heart goes out to you. And one more thing. Xavier is a great name! :)
Reet - I ended up buying the OPKs. Exciting stuff! It turns out fate, (or perhaps the ATM) smiled upon me. Sometimes it's fun to make small decisions by leaving them up to fate. It sure helps save energy for the big ones, anyway. I have a 28-30 day cycle normally, so I'm going to go smack bang in the middle and start testing on day 12 as the instruction leaflet says. Oh how I enjoyed reading that little manual. It felt good to be holding OPKs and HPTs after such a long time waiting. :) I haven't told DP I got them yet, I don't know why but I'm nervous to tell him of my little shopping secret. For some reason, it feels naughty. I think I like it, too.... lol.
AFM, small update... the cramping and backpain subsided after I took a nap. I googled it (of course), and discovered you can suffer from cramps etc after coming off bc. It also explains the random nausea I had this afternoon. I thought I was giong crazy. Now I'm just waiting for some significant CM. Sorry for the tmi, lol.
Have a lovely evening, girlies!

Hi Bec - welcome to the thread, lots of lovely women here so hope you find the support you need and have a few laughs along the way. Sorry can't help with Melbourne FSs but good on you for looking further afield - agree you shouldn't take 'bad luck' for an answer - you deserve better than that! I hope you find someone good. I've heard Melbourne IVF is v. good but don't know any names (think there might be a thread for this in the LTTTC forum - a sticky, I mean, so maybe have a look there? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere).
T-hopes :( that's v. upsetting for you to have a diagnosis - big hug. On the other hand maybe knowing there is an underlying problem is also good (I think unexplained infertility would be very difficult to deal with - well difficult in a different way IYKWIM?). I had endometriosis and a history of ovarian cysts, though not PCOS. A good friend with PCOS has just had her baby - there are a few medical and wholistic approaches to the treatment that you will probably want to look into. I have an excellent endo specialist who you could ring to get a name in Melbourne - he is a lovely man and very good - I had severe (grade 5) endo that has never returned after two ops to remove it all and if it is mild (and depending on where it is) some FSs recommend going straight to IVF rather than treating it as being pg will make it go away. I'm happy for you to PM me about it if you want to chat.
Possums - hi and thank you for your lovely post - we need some BFPs in here!
Foreshelby - I'm sorry you are feeling so unwell and would definitely recommend getting it checked out as you would know the earlier you get on to endo, the better the outcome. I didn't get diagnosed until I couldn't get out of bed and by then I ended up loosing a tube and an ovary, not to mention the debilitating effect of living with pain for so long and the stress it caused me in my job, relationship, and self. Proactive is good and it will settle your mind and might be something else entirely. Fingers crossed you are OK.
Kit - good luck tomorrow - glad you've got your feet up. Let us know how you go x
Reet - I'm sorry you are having this frustrating time - hope you are pg or that AF comes when you expect next month so you can get on top of this TTC thing. Good luck.
That's all from me tonight - been a long day and I'm v. tired. Hi to eveyone - thinking of you all,
Alice x
becnxavi - sorry to hear of the tough journey that your on and for your losses, the girls in here are fab, you will feel very welcomed! They have helped me so much! In answer to your question about FS.... I saw my new FS today! Really thrilled with him! very knowledgeable and a lovely manner about it him. I got more from him today in 30mins today than I have from my 2 other gyns in 10mths since losing our bubs at 12wks! Not sure what part of melbs your in but his name is Dr Haider Najjer. He has his own website, so have a peek and see what you think! Let me know if you have any other questions! Oh and I was refered to him by my g/f who is doing IVF after 3 miscarriages. Hope this helps!
Porcshe - he said PCO but not PCOS as I dont have the other syndromes but the cycstic ovaries?? does that make sense?? I had about 16 follicles on each ovary??! Dont know a great deal about the PCO/S thing! Do you O by yourself or only when on Clomid?
Murraycod - i have everything so tightly crossed for you!
Alice! Hello! so happy to hear things are great with TCM doc! Fab news! ANd even fab'er news about the dream! Life is so much easier when your mind is kind huh! Stress is the devil! We become our own worst enemies sometimes, glad to hear your feeling merrier! xx
forshelby - thanks love, yeh worried about the ovaries but then again its just good to have a bit of an answer! feeling nervous about my laproscopy more than anything! Ah well, hoping it brings us a step closer! glad your cramping has eased for you xx
ferrals - i hope your doing better xx
crafty - hope you caught that egg!
afm - i dunno - just a bit meh! i should be happier than i feel cause the ball is rolling but cant help but feel the ball has 'rolled' away! Ah the joys of TTC emotions! What will be, will be! Whats really crapping me off is my temp not rising! I get so cranky in the morning... i guess i am so worried that i didnt O this month :(
Thanks so much for the info Alice & Forsehlby! I'm seeing a doc at Melbourne IVF and I'm sure he's great at the IVF part but I need someone who specialises in my stuff IYKWIM. I will google that doc T-hopes! Also the PCO vs PCOS is just relating to how many symptoms you have. Other than polycystic Ovaries you also have no ovulation, no periods, excess hair, insulin resistence and skin tags or a combination of at least 3 of these to have PCOS. That's the only difference. HTH!
Bec
Hello All!
Yay its officially my bday!! And possum magics!! Happy Birthday to us! :)
Murraycod- U must hold ur hope! I think it was kit that said.. just imagine ur baby digging!! its all going to be good! u have to stay positive. I actually want to start mildly cramping.. its around that time for me that my bub shld be implanting! bring on cramping and implantation bleeding!! :) I can just imagine how ur feeling though.. u wld be feeling absolutely everything that is going on in that body or urs.. ur poor body has been thru a lot.,. and ur poor mind! Just have a few days to relax if u can. U sure do deserve it. Thinking of u alot. Really cant wait to see ur BFP.. it wont be long now!! yay!!! xxx
Kitfaerie- Glad ur bleeding has stopped. Stay on ur back a bit longer though.. just relax! :) make sure u let us know how strong lil tigers heartbeat is on friday!! very excited for u x
Forshelby- Pre baby brain???!! haha i might try using that when i say something stupid to my dh.. i dont think it will work though!! haha, he'll just be like 'marita ur f**ked!' haha :) and i hope im pg this month, u cld still make it!! yay for may!! what cd are u now?? I love reading the little manuals too!! haha i read them still all the time when i do a test now.. just to refresh my memory. haha its all so exciting!! I even read the long info leaflets u get in clomid etc.. its my reading material before going to sleep.. as u can probly tell.. i love information!! i go crazy googling!! I think im like u.. after m/c, i self helped myself using the internet.. it was good :) Love that u feel 'naughty' buying opks and hpts.. are u going to keep it a secret for a little longer?? If u dont feel ready to tell ur dp ur little secret just yet.. maybe just wait a month.. suss out what ur body is doing on ur own first.. and then in the next couple months u can start opening up more..especially if this is all a bit new to him.. and a bit scary still. Lets hope ur UTD in no time at all tho.. throw ur dp in the deep end! Im glad good old google has helped u to find out why ur aching and sick feeling.. what wld we do without it! Happy ur feeling better, and i hope that ewcm starts flowing freely soon!!! :) x
T-hopes- Sorry to hear u have pco.. alot of women do have it though, it is very very common so u shld be fine. When i was having troubles after going off bcp's my ordinary dr told me i had pcos, i went for ultrasound etc and she said that i had cysts on my ovaries.. i went to gyno then though and he said i didnt, he said it was common to have follicles on ovaries (im not sure how many follicles i had tho) but yeah he did some blood tests on me and said my hormone levels and everything indicated that i didnt have it. Im glad u are fianlly getting to the bottom of it all, even though it does seem like u have to go thru a lot of tests etc to find out the real problem. U'll be right though. Maybe all u need is clomid and everything will be fine!! I knew it!! U shld just be seeing me.. ill medicate u!! :) let us know when u get blood test results back, hopefully u have already o'ed! but if not clomid will fix that :) (haha as u can tell.. im clomids #1 fan!) good luck, thinking of u x

Hi Ladies
Hi Bec!
T-Hopes - Not sure what the difference is with PCOS and PCO. I'll have to google. I guess I could O by myself as I have already had 2 children but I have never known how to get pregnant. That sounds really dumb I know but YKWIM? I struggled for 2 years to gt pregnant with my first but by the time I thought "hmmm something's not right here" I was pregnant with my son.
After his birth I went back on birth control for a few months. I came off of the pill thinking it would take me another 2 years to get pregnant and bam I was pregnant with my daughter. I think after giving birth my hormones kicked in and made everything work regularly for the first time. didn't last though.
So I guess I'll never know if I was actually O'ing on my own leading up to clomid. I know that I have O this last month after the M/C because I had heaps of EWCM and my temp rose and now I'm spotting and that for me is a sign that AF will most likley be here tomorrow on time according to my FF chart.
I'm guessing I have the PCO not the syndrome as I don't have any symptoms except the irregular AF's. I'm not overweight, no excess hair, acne etc... All though darn the clomid for the extra 5kg lol.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Reet & Possum! Many happy returns for you. :happybirthday:
Alice - Thanks for the advice. I'm going to wait it out a little bit longer because, well, I want to give it a shot on my own first. I found a fair bit of information on the net saying that backache is common when coming off the pill. The last time I went off it (when I broke up with my ex bf) was a long time ago now, years.... so I can't remember what it was like. If things aren't good in the next couple of months, I'll definitely be off to the doctor. And I agree with T-hopes, you do seem happier. Good for you! :)
Reet- Happy birthday! It's my sister's birthday today so I'll always remember yours. Lucky you, lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes crazy googling, and it's also nice to hear you self helped yourself the same way I did. We have a lot in common! I think I will keep my OPK secret a bit longer, I don't want to scare him with all the technical jazz just yet. Afterall it's only our first month actively trying, and I kind of like that this part is just for me to enjoy. If he asks me how I know it's 'time' to DTD, then I'll have to fess up. But that's okay, because he asked! haha.... About the cramping, it's still there on and off, but nowhere near as bad as yesterday. I'm either having pill withdrawals, or getting ready to O. I had some crap backpain today at work, which was no fun, but all of a sudden it was gone again. For now I'm just keeping an eye on it. Oh, and I'm cd 11 today. Time to start using my OPKs tomorrow! Eeep! I'm actually a little bit nervous about it all. And TMI warning here, but I think EWCM is just around the corner because I felt a little... ahh..... not dry down there. lol, I did my best to keep it polite sounding! This also might sound crazy, but busted out my little book of answers today, just for fun. It's called an oracle book and you ask it a question (yes/no) and turn to a random page for the answer. I asked 3 times if I will get pregnant this month, and each time I got a yes anwer. One in particular said yes, 'if I get to work right away'. lol... good, because I was thinking tonight might be a good night for lingerie and school night sex. *cheeky grin* Hope you had a wonderful birthday, and I hope DH spoiled you!! When are you testing? When are you testing?!!!!! lol
Possum - I couldn't leave without wishing you a happy birthday, also Possum. I hope you had a lovely day. :)
Kit - Can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow. Keep your spirits high!
AFM, nothing exciting happening except for starting OPKs tomorrow. Exciting!
And to everyone else, GOOD LUCK! yay for May, :)
Well hasnt this thread quietened down a bit! A couple weeks ago u wldnt look at it for a few hrs and come back and wld have to go thru 5 pages! Maybe everyone is busy bd'ing??? And im the only lonely one with no dh at home.. :( haha nah hes back tomoro arvo so u probly wont see much of me for a few days.. i will still have to sneak a peak everyday and see how everyone is going tho :)
Thanku guys for the bday wishes!! i had an alright day, nothing overly exciting but nice dinner tonite, and forshelby, once again thanks for rubbing it in that dh isnt here with me! ..saying u hope he spoilt me today, thanks!! haha well i guess he cld have sent me flowers or something, but he is in the middle of the bush- probly without a phonebook to find a florist, so hes let off the hook, he'll hopefully make up for it on the weekend :)
Kit- Yes make sure u let us know how ur scan goes tomoro! I hope ur excited and not so much nervous to see ur little tigers heartbeat again! :)
TtcaLoveChild- I forgot to write back to u the other day, im on facebook! Welcome to Facebook | Facebook Sorry to hear u had a migraine, u poor thing :( especially since u wld have been having to run around after 5 kids all day. Are u trying to rest a little??
Forshelby- Yeah man i think without the internet I wld have gone crazy after m/c, i googled and found out so much stuff.. cant really remember what stuff now but it made me feel better at the time.. and thats the main thing! Im still finding out info all the time.. like that ur progesterone levels are very important when falling pg, if they drop right down theres a big chance u will m/c.. theres all this stuff that i had no idea about before i fell pg, so sometimes i think i am a LITTLE grateful i have been thru a m/c cos im not so nieve anymore and i know i will be a lot more wiser and compassionate to others that go thru the same thing, i do really wish it had been all smooth sailing for me instead tho, that wld have been a lot easier!
Yay for using opks tomoro!! And yay for ewcm!!! Ur so so lucky ur body is doing the right thing! Im so jealous! I so wanted to get ewcm last week but instead i got bleeding..great! its like my body just wants to keep coming up with new little tricks and suprises..like it doesn’t want me to ever understand it or know whats happening or going to happen next!
I hope ur aches and pains go away soon.. hopefully it all does have to do with going off the pill and ‘o’ cramps.
And yes it sounds like u shld be busting out that lingerie tonight, especially since ‘u have to get to it right away!’ I think ive worn sexy lingerie maybe twice since we got married in September haha, poor dh, ive gotta be pretty drunk to be able to do it! And there wont be any of that going on now for hopefully the next 2 yrs or so, so he’ll be missing out for a while longer! Haha.
Well AFM.. i was going to wait til tomoro to mention anything..but.. i may as well tell u all where im at now! Before going to bed lastnite i was looking on my dressing table for something and a pg test jumped out at me! I didn’t think i had any left! So i took it as a hint that it wanted to be peed on and did it this morning.. I didn’t have much hope since its still 6 days before af is due so thought it was definitely going to be way too early to detect anything.. so I left it for about 10 mins and went back and quickly checked it before running out the door to work and guess what! I cld see a faint faint faint line!!! It was so faint u cld hardly see it, but its definitely given me a bit of hope that this is my month! I went out and bought another 3 pack of the 1st response tests so im going to go a bit crazy in the next few days and test each morning and hope that theres a line and it keeps getting darker and darker as the days go on. Im going to be so scared tomoro doing it incase nothing appears. But I am thinking positively about it though. Like forshelbys story.. yesterday my friend gave me a crystal that i cld ask questions too..it spins in a circle if the answer is no, and back and forth if the answer is yes.. its different for everyone tho.U just place ur hand underneath it and it uses the energy from it. I have asked it about 5 times if I am pg and it keeps saying yes and that im having a boy!! I have gotten 4 other ppl to try it and it has given them all the same answers as mine. Its pretty freaky. U really cant believe it til ur doing it urself. I tried tricking it and then asking it questions i already knew the answer too and it got each and every one of my questions spot on! It really is bizarre. I love it! U shld have seen my dads surprise when he was using it and realising that it wasn’t me that had been making it move.. he is the biggest sceptic around!..not anymore tho! He was honestly so shocked! So yes anyway my crystal has given me a bit of hope too! I will keep u all posted with what happens in the next few days.. pls don’t get excited for me just yet though, save it for when i know its a definite!
I hope everyone is doing well. Thinking of u all!! xxx
Double post! Not sure how to delete this one!
Ok so i think i jumped the gun last nite in telling u all.. this morning- no line, not even after an hour.. so not sure what was up with yesterdays test, cos the FAINT line came up within 10 mins. Oh well all good.. i am only just 8DPO, so i think it is just way too early to know anything. Im not going to test anymore until day before af is due. I better hold off or i will send myself absolutely INSANE!!!!! x
Reet: Oh no! I was so hoping for a BFP announcement! 8 DPO is super early babe, a bubba could be starting to dig in now though. I hope you have a wonderful ''birthday'' weekend!
Forshelby: LMAO hope you had fun breaking out the lingerie! I always found that it was taken off too quickly to be appreciated, I ran across the room to put it back on once, that tiny flimsy material can cost a bomb sometimes so I wanted it to be appreciated! Lets hope there's a lil spermie and eggie getting very close, lol.
AFM: I feel like crap, which is AWESOME! I never felt this nauseous with Splat, so I feel more confident. DH thinks Tiger doesn't like cows, cos a cadbury ad came on and they did a close up of the cow's snotty nose and I gagged for 5 minutes. Nice. Scan at 4pm. Deep breaths.
Love to everyone..
Murraycod: hows the cramping going? how are you feeling?
Alice: I'm so looking for chocolate chai tea this weekend!
kit - good luck this afternoon! Keep us posted on little Tiger!
reet - def too early love! so hard to hold off testing huh! sends us insane!!
afm - well i have the mother of all UTI's! I havent had one since primary school and it was nothing like this! :( woke up in the early hrs of thurs morn in so much pain, thought i had thrush... until i pee'd! oh my lord!! Ive been pee'ing full blood for 24 hrs and feel like ive been hit by a bus, feels like the full on flu - aches all over, chills with a temp of 38degrees.... went to the docs and im on antibiotics so hopefully they stop the bleeding! Looks like AF has arrived everytime i wee, also feels like i im weeing out razor blaeds, cry everytime i go :( I guess im out this month already, no hope of a little emby surviving such a nasty infection huh? awww... poor widdle me :(
