megsmum Im so happy for you !!! sending you loads of stickyvibes and wishing you a H&H 9months !!!
Yippee Meg'smum - that is fantastic - I hope you have a happy & healthy pregnancy and baby!!!
WTH - it could very well be your month - there's just no way of knowing yet!
Maddy'smum - I'm so sorry for your loss - it's just an awful thing to have to go through. The other girls covered all the main points re: TTC again. We have decided to wait only until after my first AF to start trying again and I was very tempted to not even wait for that but my acupuncturist convinced me - it's a personal choice and there's no right answer -only what feels best for you.
:happyforyou: MegsMum - Congratulations again!:dance:
CONGRATULATIONS MEGSMUM!!!! :loveshower::bluecheer: great HCG and Prog results too.....!!! YAY!!!n its going to be a very happy Christmas this year, well lets hope with not too much throwing up!!!
HannahD - peeing a lot thats a good sign!!!! sending you lots of :bluedust:
Maddysmum - :welcome:sorry to hear of your loss, and glad you found us. I had two m/c this year the second one I had the month after my first m/c however it was deemed a chemical pregnancy by my OB. However I think I should've waited at least one cycle to get my lining all back up to normal thickness, thats why I think the last bub didn't wait. I'm pregnant again now which is the 3rd month after my first m/c however with my chemical pregnancy I was one week late and my bleeding was just like a normal period and my cycle was normal this month so we tried again.....because as you know we all want to have that bub in our arms so badly that it hurts and missing out even once is a big deal...well at my age it is anyway. So I would recommend just because of my experience and if I had to do it all over again I probably would wait one month. Hope I've been of help and Goodluck
Possums - I do exactly the same thing and just watching the babies and toddlers makes me smile so much and also inside I'm sighing hoping and hoping. So you aren't alone.
WTH - sending you lots of :bluedust:
Hiya to all my other lovely ladies Jen - I'm hoping for some good news from you soon lovely...
Toccara and Megsmum sending you out lots of :stickyvibesgirl:
Jenushka,KrystieTam and fifi- plenty of bellyrubs coming your way beautiful girls!!!
AFM - did another pg test this morning.....took a few mins but the results came out postive yay!!! :bfp: for me!!! after I did the first one at 7dpo it took all my strength to wait to do it today which is 16dpo have booked myself app with GP for blood tests and will also book my OB once I've been to my GP. Just trying not to worry so much and hope that this one sticks this time.....of course have had all the symptoms, nausea, very very sore breasts and peeing a lot last day or so and feeling very dizzy at times during the day oh and very tired yesterday ....pray for all us ladies in this 1st trimester its a very anxious time...
Big hellos to all the ladies I've missed, Joey, PlC, Angel, Babymiracles, buliej, Ruthie and everyone esle
megsmum - am sooooooo HAPPY for you!!!!!
:confetti::happyforyou::confetti:
Mannie - don't think I saw your BFP news & congrt'd you yet??? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To megsmum and mannie
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :cheer::stickyvibesboy::bluecheer: :stickyvibesgirl:
Sending you both lots of  and zen-vibes. Wishing you HTH 9 months!
Hello lovely ladies,
OK, so I'm back before Sunday cos I can't help myself:)
First things first; YAY! for you Megsmum- that is Brilliant! Wishing you lots of :stickyvibesgirl: and a stress free pregnancy.
Maddysmum, sorry you have had to join us here. This is a great place for support and I hope you find a stickbub soon.
Mannie- bring on those:bfp: Good luck with the doctor next week.
Babymiracles - good luck with next round, hoping for a lovely christmas prezzie
TY- there seems to be a few mixed messages out there, mostly I think it is your head state more than you body the Dr's tend to worry about. I know I ovulated and 'felt' super fertile in the 2 cycles after my mc (not that anything came of that, sigh)
Hannah- hang in there, I know waiting can make you crazy (see below;))
WTH- BD is the only fun part in this whole rollercoaster- so have a good time;)
Possums- ok, well we are doing next cycle together, and yes, there are babies everywhere, bellies too, sigh
Jen- hope thanksgiving and the shopping are going well. They had footage of crazy running through shops this morning and I thought of the US girls having fun
Toccara- have a good scan, wave to the bub for us.
OK, need to go and do food shopping, hello to all not mentioned. :grouphug: to all.
As to me- well, caved in yesterday and brought some of the forelife early preg tests, and came back with a resounding :bfn: Poo! (This is about the mildest thing I can say.) Not that I'm terribly surprised as AF has been suggesting her presence by bad skin and headaches (what an into!) but is yet to arrive. Oh well, yet another cycle. And maybe a different story for christmas. Bit down at the moment, DH is running the positive vibes for us but I think I might go and get more checked out in the new year. I know its only been 4 1/2 mnths since mc but going little crazy and I'm pretty sure that I'm not O'ing every month, (LH and CM seem to vary wildly each cycle). At least I can have a drink at our wedding anniversary this weekend (would have been far happier to have a little bundle of cells to protect though, sigh).
OK, off scattering :bluedust: for all,
hugs, Indy
Thanks so much everyone, I really don't know what I would have done without you over the last 8 months or so :grouphug: I really hope that we've got a run of BFPs happening in here
I'm just so happy, yet so scared at the same time :( I think by the time the first tri is over I'll be wishing that I had bought some shares in Sorbent!!!! I'm already doing the knicker checking thing
I'm off to the clinic again on Tuesday for the first of my follow up HCGs so obviously praying for a good rise, then they will test me weekly until 7 weeks when I have my first scan. I'm still a bit unclear what will happen after that, I think they hand me over to my ob at about 8 weeks, but I'm a bit worried with Xmas looming that all these drs will be on holidays! So I think if my ob is off I'll have to sweet talk the clinic into looking after me until 12 weeks - 8 to 12 weeks will be my big nervous time as that is when we lost our last baby :(
Anyway, thanks again everyone, it will be a while before I can bring myself to leave here and go to the pg threads, I hope you don't mind me hanging around for a bit longer....
Megsmum--WOO freakin' HOO!!!!!!!!! :leap: :hooray: :cheer: OMG, cycle buddy (no matter what, that's what you are!) I'm SO super thrilled for you!!! Sending tons of :stickyvibesgirl: and lots of big hugs!! Congratulations!!!
Mannie--Official Congrats to you, as well, on your BFP!!! :stickyvibesboy:
Toccara--Big hugs lots of prayers, and some :stickyvibesgirl: for you!!
WTH--Hey, hon, so good to hear from you--we know you'd never forget us! *hugs* Best of luck with your BT on Monday!
Indy--Sorry to hear about your BFN. I know how frustrating it is.... better luck with your next cycle.
Hi's and  for jenushka, AJC, buliej, & Hannah
Jen - Thanks so much hun  You are such a support to everyone in this thread, you really deserve to get your BFP soon, as does everyone else in this thread  Will be hoping that this is the one for you, so then we can be belly buddies as well as cycle buddies! ;)
megsmum--Aww, you're sweet, thanks! mannie & toccara - :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:!!!
maddiesmum - sorry honey
jen - i'll hang in the thread for as long as it takes hun - want to put a congrats note for you too.
indy - sorry about BFN hun
WTH - GL sweet
hello to all the other lovely ladies here :grouphug:
Megsmum, Tocarra and Mannie - I am so over the moon for you all!!! Congratulations!!! Fingers crossed that all will be smooth sailing and in no time you'll be holding you little babies in your arms. Wow, it's so exciting isn't it?!
Jen, Plc (and Angel!) - Oh I miss you girls!!! I can't believe I forgot Friday chat again! I'm such a dufus. I wasn't even doing anything last night either. I can't even blame the tv, because there wasn't anything good on, lol. I swear I'll chat to you soon though!!!
To everyone else - I still check in on you all and my thoughts are with you. If ever you are feeling down, always know that there are people out there thinking of you
Quick "hi" as I have to run but I don't think I knew about Mannie's bfp! congrats!!!
Megsmum - :happyforyou: Congratulations! It's about time the thread had something to celebrate! I know it must also be an anxious time but at least it sounds like they will monitor you closely. Sending :stickyvibesgirl: your way. This might sound a little selfish but I am glad you will stay in this thread a while longer, you have really helped me!
Mannie - wow, we can now all say congratulations officially! So happy for you hun. you have a sticky bub in there!
Indy - Definitely go and get checked out again. I m/c in Nov 2007 and we are still waiting. I wanted my GP to do tests 6 months ago but he insisted we wait 12 months to see a FS. Now I have just found out that I am not o every month! Pretty bummed we have wasted so much time.
Possums - Thanks, I saw an endo specialist just over 12 months ago and she put me on prednisilone. Funnily enough I feel pg just the month after I started taking the medication but no luck since :(
Maddies Mum - So sorry to see you have found yourself on this thread but it a great source of support and advice. The ladies here have helped me so much since I joined. I wish I had found them all sooner!
Hannah - Hang in there, not long to go now! Going to the toilet a lot sounds promising.....
WTH- Try not to lose hope!
AFM - Feeling heaps better today and more positive. I think I will feel better once I see the FS again and know for sure the next course of action. Trying to see it as a positive. Clomid seems to have quite a good success rate and if I already o sometimes I am hoping it will work for me!
Sorry, have to go. DH and I are going to the movies.
Hi to everyone else!
Megsmum YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! :leap::dance::clap: That is AWESOME news hun, wishing you the happiest, healthiest and stickiest nine months out!!!
Maddysmum - I am so sorry you had to come in here to join us but you are in the right place for loads of love and support to help you through this. As for your bleeding, my first m/c which was at 10 1/2 weeks and had a D&C for took a good two weeks before the bleeding stopped and my second which was a natural m/c at about 6 weeks, I bled for about 5 days. I think my dr said at the time, if I bled more than two weeks or had an accompanying fever, that something needed to be done. I hope it stops soon for you so that you can concentrate on the emotional side of recovering..
Hannah - :noaf:, hoping she stays away and you get a lovely BFP instead!!
WTH - wishing you heaps and heaps of luck for your BT Monday anyway, hoping you won't need to partake in an xmas baby-making BD marathon :)
Mannie - :stickyvibesboy:, wow BFP at 7dpo is AWESOME, hoping that you too have a h&h and sticky 9 months. So many BFP, its fantastic, bring them on!!!
Indy - sorry about the bfn, hope you can get a wonderful xmas pressie instead!
Mel - that really sucks not o-ing but I am glad that you are feeling more positive. Will your FS have you on clomid for your next cycle? Then you could have a lovely chrissie bfp too ;)
Big HI to Jen, PLC, Hannah, Possums and the rest of you awesome girlies
Not a lot happening here, in a tww of sorts then it is all on for my xmas BFP!! I am currently at work on a Saturday night - how excviting is my life!!
Thanks for your kind words Melissal. Ur right - I can't wait for it to end so I can concentrate on dealing with the emotional side of recovery. I am just so thankful that I have a gorgeous little 2 year old daughter and a beuatiful understanding hubby (I love them both to bits). Hopefully we will look to TTC again in the new year.
Just a bit off the subject here - how do I get me one of those gorgeous avatars, and decorate my signature with hubby and my lil' Maddison. Also would like to track my cycle (once I am back on track) like at the bottom of your message.
Sorry for all the questions sweetie.
Hi Melissal,
No I won't get to start on Clomid this month as I am going to FS a week after AF is due so I am guessing it will be too late to start in Dec (don't know alot about it). I would go back to him sooner but I am waiting on a couple of other test results (Lupus, ovarian resistance - don't think this is an issue since I didn't o this month!). I reckon the FS will want all the results before he decides what we do next.
Although I would love to start now DH and I think we have waited this long so we can wait another month. Decided have the month off and enjoy the festive season instead and :bd: when we want instead of when we have to!
Maddysmum - I bled for a couple of days after the m/c. Bit like a period but much heavier bleeding. I m/c at 6 weeks and didn't need to have a D&C. I think everyone is different but make sure you get checked out if you have prolonged bleeding, cramping or a fever. Sorry I can't help with the avatars question, I am still trying to work out this forum thing (bit sad considering DH works in IT!).
We put up our Christmas tree today (a little early I know). DH turned to me and said how he hopes we have a baby by next Christmas, it brings a tear to my eye. I  that 2009 is the year for all of us. :)
Megsmum - :confetti::happyforyou::hooray::bluecheer::cheer: WOW. What wonderful news, congratulations.
Maddysmum - Welcome. Sorry you have to join us, hope that your stay here is short and you can jump over to the PAML thread with our BFP'ers. To answer your question, to get an avatar, you need to be a paid member, not sure if you have to have "so many" posts before you do or if you can just pay. To get the bits at the bottom, go to user profile at the top and click on edit signature, you can add your information in there. There is a limit to how much info you can put in. Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you.
Hi Ladies,
Sorry but I'm really confused and need some help!
I just entered my temp for this morning into FF and my o day has changed from CD13 to CD22! I had a BT on CD 20 and was told from those results that I hadn't o'd this month. My question is, does anyone know if the BT would've picked this up on CD20 that I was about to ovulate or is this why the BT said I didn't? I am so confused.
I had really bad cramps and was very tender around my ovaries on CD21 and then apparently o'd the next day. Luckily we ended up :bd: on the right day although we didn't on any of the surrounding days. I guess it only takes one!
I usually o at around CD17 or 18 so it is very late for me but CD 13 was too early! Although I haven't had any CM this month which I usually do (sorry if TMI!).
Mannie & Megsmum - How are you both feeling today? Hope you're both still on cloud nine and are not too anxious. :)
Hi to everyone else! Sorry for lack of persies but I'm completely confused at the moment!
Have a baby shower to go to this afternoon *sigh*.
Hope everyone is well. :D
Hi Mel,
Just got back from Mass and was praying very hard for this bub to stick and be healthy and that I would be lucky enough to bring it to term. Its in God's hands now. Feeling ok today temps still up and feeling a bit off, but happy at the same time. Trying not to be too anxious. Have had a few crys but pg does bring on weepiness so its out of my control.
by the way we only did it once and it was on the morning of OD day and then we did it again the next day which I think wouldve been too late to catch the egg, so I believe we caught the egg on OD day...so for the record you right it only takes one!!! so goodluck and you may get your BFP before Xmas after all.....
HI to everyone else, we have a BBQ to attend today its so hot here and I'm not looking forward to standing around outside on a hot day in my condition...phew....I'm glad its only from 2 til 6pm! I'll be wanting a cold shower as soon as I get home!
Have a great sunday ladies....persies this week ....thanks for all your support too. :)
Thanks so much mollycat, melissal, Mel, plc, babymiracles! WIll be praying that you all (except plc of course LOL) get your much deserved BFPs soon!
Sorry for the lack of persies, I promise I will do some tomorrow while DD is at preschool, but I just wanted to answer your question Mel :)
If you think you Oed on day 22 then that is consistent with the blood results you got the other day. Do you know if they only tested progesterone? Did they also test oestrogen and LH? If they only tested prog then they would not have know you were about to ovulate, only the oestrogen and LH can tell them you are about to O. It is definitely possible too that they only checked your prog levels and nothing else. What you will need to do is have another BT on day 29 (7 DPO) to check your prog levels again - if they are above about 20 I think it is, then that will indicate that you did O on day 22. I have found that there are a lot of drs out there that assume than everyone O's around about day 14  And of course if you BDed around that time then you are in with a chance!!
Indeed it does only take one, remember I only got one egg at egg collection, then it fertilised and here we are now. I am a walking advertisement for not only what can go wrong with IVF  ie low follie and egg numbers, but also what can go right with it!
Hope all that helps, ask away if you've got anymore questions and I'll try to help if I can
Hi All,
Have been quite slack and haven't been around for awhile have had a pretty nasty virus to contend wtih as well.
How awesome to come on and see 3 BFP's
Mannie, Toccarra and Megsmum I am sooooo happy for you - congratulations
Nothing much to report for me, my temps have been all over the palce this month so don't think I will even get a coverline although I believe I have Ov'ed, will just have to wait and see yet again
Just popping in to say hi - I have not forgotten about you :grouphug:
Indy - Sorry about the BFN. But I'm wishing you a very, very happy anniversary!
megsmum - I hope you do continue to hang around here. I know I want updates on how bubs is doing. Sounds like you're going to get great care though. :stickyvibesboy:
jen - :hello: *hugs*
krystie - Thanks for checking in on us. You're right, it is nice to know there are people out there thinking of us.
mel - Glad you're feeling more positive. the clomid works for you. Christmas is less than a month away, so its not too early to put it up. Good on you for deciding to just enjoy this Christmas (it may very well be the last with just you and DH ;) ). I can't really help with your confusion, but bring it up when you see the FS.
melissa - :noaf:
mannie - :stickyvibesgirl: Enjoy the BBQ. Hope the heat didn't get too bad.
easha - Sending you lots of anti-AF vibes.
Hi to everyone else.
AFM - I caved and tested this morning. Got a big :bfn:. At least its Sunday so I have a day to wallow and then back to work tomorrow.
Hannah - sorry about the BFN but you have tested a couple of days too early so there is still a chance. Wishing you a :bfp: for Christmas!
Megsmum - Thanks so much for your response, it helped me a great deal. I am going to call the FS tomorrow and see what they tested for. I know they definitely tested for prog but not sure about the rest. I'm so glad you are hanging around in this thread, I can't wait to hear about the progress of your pregnancy. I am so excited for you!
Mannie - Know that we are all  for you too. Hope you weren't too hot at the BBQ!
Melissal & Easha - :noaf:
:hello: to jen, plc, buliej, babymiracles, WTH, krystielove, mollycat, indy & anyone else I have missed!
AFM - I found out from mum today that one of my cousins had to go on clomid to conceive and she now has 2 beautiful children. One of my aunties also went on it and she had triplets -lol! 12 months ago multiple births would've have freaked me out but now it wouldn't worry me in the slightest!
I know this sounds silly but I had really started to get used to the idea of going on clomid and now if it ends up I have ovulated no doubt we will just have to keep ttc until it happens. Although you never want anything to be wrong at the same time after 15 months ttc we really wanted some answers. I guess I will just have to wait and see when AF arrives, that will give me a better idea. FF has really confused me this last week!
I'm so glad I found you all on this thread, not only have you offered me comfort and support but you have all been a great source of advice and information (I didn't realise until I started this journey just how little I knew about ttc!)
Hi everyone...
I'm sitting here feeling odd because I think I'm ovulating - the timing would be right based on when my d&c was - and doing nothing about it because we've decided to give my body a month off. It feels so weird letting this potential opportunity go to waste - although I still think it's the right decision for us.
My guess is that I'll have 2 more AFs between now and our next IVF cycle - just based on holidays and guessing when my cycles will fall assuming they resume the same schedule as they were before my miscarriage. I'm wondering whether we should ask my FS about clomid or if there's something else we can do to give us assistance while we wait for the next IVF cycle to commence.
What is clomid suppose to do? what other things can we ask about during our "au natural" cycles that won't depend on the clinic being open?
thanks
Buliej - apologies for the long post!
I'm glad you are doing what feels right for you and your DH. Only you know when it is right to start ttc again.
I wish I could help you with the clomid question but I will be asking the same thing of my FS at our next appointment (just under 2 weeks away which seems like a lifetime.....).
From what I have read Clomid seems to have quite a good success rate with most people conceiving in the first 3 cycles. Some of the side effects aren't the greatest but let's face it everyone of us on this thread would put up with anything to have a healthy child! Clomid doesn't work for everyone but I think it is definitely worth a try.
Just something I found on the internet (this is all I know since I have no personal experience):
The active ingredient in clomifene is clomifene citrate, an anti-oestrogen drug which is taken in pill form. It works by causing an increase in the levels of two hormones which in turn cause stimulation of the ovaries and release of an egg.
First it tells your pituitary gland to produce or make more of the hormones that trigger ovulation (follicle-stimulating hormone or FSH). This prompts your ovaries to get a number of your eggs ready. Then, once you finish your drug cycle, your hypothalamus (the part of your brain that regulates basic functions, such as temperature) will release luteinising hormone (LH). This tells your ovaries it's time to release a mature egg from its follicle and send it into one of your fallopian tubes. That is ovulation.
When you start taking it in your cycle and the dosage varies form person to person but your FS works all that out. I would suggest googling Clomid and reading up on it a bit. Also I have found a few threads which discuss the pro's and con's and also the experiences of women who are taking it. I have found this very useful and would be keen to try it if that's what the FS recommends.
Sorry again for the long post - I hope it helps a little! I am completely confused at the moment as my o days this month are all over the place and I don't even know if I did ovulate. :wall:
Best of luck (we are having this month off too). I intend to sit back and enjoy the festive season with good food and wine!:D
thanks so much Mel. I guess I need to add clomid to the very long list of things to ask my FS about...I'm happy to hear that you are going to make the most of this holiday season
Hi everybody--Haven't been on this thread for a very long time (and now there's a bunch of new people here--I'm sorry for your losses, but keeping fingers crossed for you). Basically because I got so discouraged with trying and needed to take a break from thinking about my uterus.
So, anyhow, now that I'm not thinking about ttc as much...
I got a BFP on 11/27!!!
And after four previous miscarriages, I'm equal parts happy and terrified. Already had an hcg level done, going now to get another one.
Baby dust and happy holidays to all.
plc--So glad to know you'll still be here to put in a Congrats note for me one day!! I'm definitely looking forward to that day!!
Krystie--Always makes me smile when I see your avi!! Thanks for checking in on us! Can't even tell you how much I miss our chats! :bellyrubs: for you and little Chyan!! Will send you my address in a little bit--I haven't forgotten, but thanks for sending me yours! *hugs* and smooches!!
Mel--We ALL knew very little about TTC before we found this awesome site! We all learned by asking the same questions! I'm SO jealous that you already have your tree!!! I think that's my favorite part of the season, is having the smell of the tree wafting throughout the house! Can't wait to get mine!!
Melissa--My :crossfingers: for your Christmas BFP!!
Maddysmum--If you go to the top of the page, in the light purple area under where it says BB, you click on "User Profile". Then click on "Edit Signature", and you can enter in your info and add the smilies that you want. Just make sure that you read the forum guidelines, because there are some rules as to how many lines of text, etc. you have in your signature. I was going to walk you thru the steps to the upgrade for your avi, but then I saw that you had already posted about it in the right section, so hopefully you've got that one all worked out already. As far as a ticker goes, there's some up at the very top of the page under "BellyBelly Tickers", or you can simply google "free TTC tickers" and you'll get lots to choose from! Hope that helps! *hugs*
mollycat--Love your Christmas ticker, but now I have one less chart to stalk! *hugs* Glad that we got an extra chat in the other day! *kiss*
Mannie--I saying  with you for a sticky, happy, healthy pregnancy for you!! *hugs*
Easha--Hey stranger! Glad to see a post from you--it's been a while! It's actually been much of the same for me lately... just busy, busy, busy! Wow, checked out your chart, and your temps are all over the place this month! Could the batteries on your thermometer be getting a little low? Sending lots of anti-AF vibes your way! *hugs*
Megsmum--:stickyvibesgirl:
Hannah--Sorry to hear about your BFN.... hopefully it's just a little too early, don't give up just yet! It's not over until AF rears her ugly face!!
buliej--You know yourself and your body well enough to know when the right time is for you to be ready to TTC again. Enjoy your holiday season.... eat, drink, and be merry!
tempus--So glad to see you back with some happy news to share!! Congratulations on your BFP!!! Saying lots of  for a happy, healthy pregnancy!! :stickyvibesgirl:
Me--Got my coverline today, and even got a "high" chance of conception. I don't really take much value in that, since I've gotten high scores for the last 2 cycles, and we DTD SO much last month that I really don't see how I didn't get pg! But oh well, what can I do? One day I'll have the time to go get myself checked out.... for now, stress-wise, it's probably best that I haven't fallen pg yet.
Ok, sorry, I know I missed lots of persies, but at least I'm caught up with those that have posted! We're driving DSD's back home today, well half way... but still will take the majority of our day going both ways, especially with the after Thanksgiving traffic. Will try to catch up some more later! Lots of love to you all!
oh tempus!!!!! so glad to hear from you and congrats on ur BFP honey. sending you all the positive sticky vibes i can muster - u so deserve it.
let's spread some more of those :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: in here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tempus - so glad that you popped back in to see us and that you have BFP!!!!!
Congratulations!!! Wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy.
megsmum- another big congrats to you!!!
mannie- great news! hoping things are going along well
tempus-yahoo on the BFP!
big hugs to everyone else...hoping for a few more BFPs before xmas!
and thanks also for all letting me know again I am not alone in my feelings and worries/obsessions  ! :D
Hi All
I haven't posted in ages, but I have been thinking of you all. I see there has been some BFP, woohoo! Congrats all and I send you lots of :stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesgirl:
I have had a tough couple of months with morning sickness, which just seems to get worse, not better. Looking after my little kiddies and trying to run the household, and grow another bundle, I am exhausted most the time. The twins due date was last Tuesday and it has been a very emotional lead up to it, and a really emotional day. Dh and I bought some butterfly balloons and wrote letters to our precious two babies, attached them to the balloons and let them go at the breakwall at Nobby's beach. They sailed off into the sky and hopefully reached the stars. It was a tough day. With Christmas approaching it makes it even more evident that we don't have them here with us to celebrate the festive season. We had an angel ornament engraved for them and it now sits proudly on top of our tree.
I am almost half way with this little bean and I am started to feel it wriggling around. It's nice to know all is ok, but I do have a scan soon, to just check everything and I can't wait.
All my thoughts are with you all and I'm sending some baby rainbows your way.
Leyza - Glad to hear you are doing well.
Possums - Thanks again hun. Glad we can help you work through all those feelings, sometimes it takes a while, but you will get there!
Jen - Yay for a coverline! Am really hoping that this is the month for you cycle buddy
tempus - Congrats on the BFP!!!
buliej - Whether or not Clomid would be an option for you really depends on why you are doing IVF - do you not O on your own (you must or you would have posted that you think you are Oing LOL) or do you maybe have an LPD? Clomid may help you out, but definitely would be asking the FS if I were you!
Mel - No worries about the help. But I have to say, if you Oed on day 22 then maybe you don't need it?? Have you had a full cycle tracked at all? I'm assuming you haven't if you haven't seen the FS yet? The main problem with just a random prog test on day 21 is that it will only be of value if you actually O on day 14. If it is earlier or later then the results will be inaccurate. If I were you I'd be asking the FS to have a full cycle tracked - they monitor your oestrogen and LH levels until they know you are about to O (whatever day that is, it certainly varied with me ) then they tell you to go away and DTD lots and lots LOL then come back 7DPO to have your prog checked. That way you will know exactly what happened that cycle. HTH!
HannahD - Sorry about the BFN :( Hoping that it was just a few days too early....
Easha - Sorry to hear you've been sick :( Maybe that is why the temps are all over the place? Good luck anyway!
Mannie - :stickyvibesgirl:
Indy - Sorry about the BFN :( Hoping for a Xmas BFP for you instead!
A big hi and thanks again to everyone - mollycat, babymiracles, plc, AJC, KL, melissal, maddysmum, Toccara, jenushka, WTH (of course ;)) and anyone else I have forgotten.
AFM - Still not feeling like all this is real, not really having any symptoms much except for cramps. But I got a lot of cramping with DD too so trying not to stress about them. At least there is no bleeding! I am off to the clinic tomorrow for my first BT to check HCG levels are rising, hoping for a good result!
jen805--thanks, it's good to be back. And as always, best of luck with all your DTD!!!
plc1805--oh my goodness I can't believe you're 34 weeks already!
AJC--thanks and best of luck at 32 weeks!
Possums--hang in there, it looks like you've already travelled a long and difficult road. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Leyza--glad to hear things are going well (despite the morning sickness). Your memorial for your angelbubs was touching. Sending cyberhug.
afm--my second hcg level went well this morning, so I have to see the fs on friday for a scan. I feel relieved for today's results and nervous for friday's test. I'm so glad I have this forum to vent on!!!
megsmum - you are correct...I've looked into clomid and it's probably not for me as ovulation isn't my issue - it's quality (and quantity when doing ivf). In fact, I've looked into almost everything I've heard or read about. I haven't discovered anything new (other than DHEA which I've posted about elsewhere in these forums - but I'm beginning to think that that isn't right for me either), but what I have now is much more comfort with the course of treatment we are pursuing. and that has made me feel much better.
hello to everyone else - back to work for me
buliej - Obviously I'm no expert, but sounds to me like Clomid may not be for you. I think if you don't have any O issues, it may do more harm than good - it affects your endo lining and CM and can also cause cysts in some people - I got one and then it stuffed up my next cycle  I'm a really firm believer that it is best for younger ladies who have proven ovulation issues, rather than older ladies who ovulate but where they just can't think of anything better to do KWIM?
I just wanted to mention to you too, I went to see my FS on Friday (the day of my BT) to come up with a plan for my next cycle - I was so sure that this one wouldn't work. He recommended DHEA to me and said it would help with egg and embryo quality and possibly also with egg numbers as I am a poor responder to FSH. My clinic have had a couple of ladies in their early forties with poor results in previous IVF cycles use it and then fall pregnant. He doesn't know how or why it seemed to help, but thought that it was worth a shot for me, but he did say that it takes at least 3 months to start to work. I've now got a script for it here that I hope never to have to use  Don't know if that info is of any help to you but just thought I'd mention it.
That is really interesting about DHEA - and that poor responders feel pregnant!!!...I will ask my FS on Wed. I too hope that you don't have to use the script, but can I ask you a few questions about it - what exactly did he prescribe (dosage and frequency) - from what I've read it would be 25 mg taken either as 25 in morning and 25 in evening or 50 in morning 25 in evening. Also, did he mention that you need to go to a special pharmacy to obtain it - one who does compounding? The 3 months is very, very consistent with all my readings - specifically articles written by doctors. A few of them note that a number of older women on DHEA feel pregnant naturally while waiting for the 3 month wait to be over.
