I held a newborn baby this afternoon.... 4 days old. He was sooo sweet. And I'm pleased to report that I feel fine. I feel a little sad but I don't ache like I thought I would.
Meltdowns are all well and good, but now its time to pick myself up, dust myself off and get on with things. And I'm ready to do just that.
Nickster - Congratulations!! Welcome to the word little man! What a much-loved little bubba you are!
Tina - Whoo hoo! How smart am I?! Hehehe. I don't know why... but I just always pictured you dressing up your little one in pink. Then there was the fairy costumes, the tiaras, the playing with mummy's makeup... I hope it was a very happy surprise for you and your DH!
Hannah - Yup, little chyan is a little show-off already hehehe. I'm trying to convince myself mentally that the m/s is going away in the hopes that it will physically happen
WTH - You will definitely live up to your name sweetheart. Plus you are always reminding everyone else in here to hold hope too!
Jenushka - I saw your copious spreading of babydust and stickyvibes too Hmmm, I wonder what a "gold" post is? I've never heard of that...
Angel roids - Hmmm... that makes it sounds like you have a little "number 2" bathroom problem, lol! Ummm... hi
Jen - Thanks for jumping into the chat room last night after I was alone for an hour and a half in there! I thought you'd all abandoned me! Lol!
PS. Look who got all fat and stuff in their avatar!!! I loved my old purple top, but couldn't modify it nicely enough with a preggy belly (me and my perfectionist issues). So instead I decided to show off the fat-ness in all it's glory. Ummm, despite the fact that as yet Little Chyan is being very shy and hasn't even made the slightest hint of a bump, lol!
Just had to share this.....you know how I had a negative BFN this morning well I only looked at for a couple of minutes then went about my day thinking I was not pregnant well something made me go look at it again before bedtime which is now here in Cairns, 11pm and there were two lines on the test!!!! which means postive so that one time we did it on the morning of the temp rise worked!!! I'm spotting a little but was supposed to get AF yesterday so could be littel mr or mrs burrowing in.....I thought I was negative !! so I had a few wines today with friends and now feel so bad, will not be drinking a drop of wine again for 9 months...please pray for me girls that this is a sticky bean this time and the pregnancy will be successful...hmmm was wondering why I was peeing so much today well now I know why.....thank the Lord am seeing the OB on Tues hopefully this time I will see this through...thankyou ladies for all your thoughts and being able to rant on this thread...will let you know how I go on Tues......night night am so very tired now after cooking and entertaining all day ...am so buggered! but not too buggered to tell you all my news ... to you all....sweet dreams...
jenushka--I also saw your first post before it was deleted... you're still first as far as I'm concerned! I never realized you couldn't comment on being first either, so good to know! Thanks for blessing the new thread! And YAY for the reassurance of m/s!
mollycat--I hope you have more than one bathroom! I have this mental image of you straddling the toilet with your feet on the walls, praying you don't either fall into the toilet, or into the black hole of what used to be the bathroom floor! Obviously you aren't doing anything fun this weekend... don't work yourself too hard--or you'll be hearing me saying, "see, I told you so!" *wink wink*
Hannah--Sometimes you have to have a meltdown to hit rock bottom in order to make your way back up to the top again. There's only one way to go once you've hit the bottom! I'm so proud of you for holding that little newborn.... you're amazingly strong--I hope you realize that! *hugs* What a trooper you are--ready to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get on with things! Good for you!
Really interesting about the high risk scores/year of the rat theory.... I truly believe that astrology plays a major role in interpreting what's going on in our lives. I don't necessarily mean that everyday when I read my horoscope I can see how it relates to my life, because most of the time it seems to not even apply to me! But I definitely believe that the position of the planets/sun/moon affects the way a person behaves.... and history has shown how accurate the Mayan's were in their prediction of world events through reading the stars. Maybe you're right, maybe for you astrologically the Year of the Rat isn't your year--saying lots of for your success during the Year of the Ox!
WTH--You always live up to your name! When all else fails, there's ALWAYS hope!
tut--Here's what it says about the date given being during AF: "Interestingly, it doesn't matter with which stage in the woman's hormonal cycle this Lunar Conception moment will coincide. If it will coincide with the ovulation, very well, the probability of conception will be very high. But even if this moment will coincide with the menstruation, fertility at such time will be very high too." They've pretty much done away with the risk factor, because some that were given a high risk score turned out fine, while others with a low score had children with anomalies.... they now say it has to do with "the birth cosmogram of the mother and the conception cosmogram of the child both show a pattern of unfavorable influences, there is an indication of poor viability of the offspring. If the conception cosmogram for the child is not well aspected, but the mother's own cosmogram is favorable, the negative influences are overcome to a certain degree."
So who knows.... unfortunately I didn't get to test his theory this month as expected.... well, kind of... we DTD on the right day, but it's supposed to be 24 hours prior to date given, so it was before the 24 hour timeframe. November tells me I'll have a boy, December a girl....
Angel--Glad to hear the meds are doing their job! Yay for being able to sleep in a horizontal position! Continue getting better! *hugs* *kiss*
Krystie--Woo hoo, look at that sexy belly! *whistling* Whenever I see the word "roids" my fist thought is hemorrhoids, not steroids!
Mannie--Congratulations! Saying loads of for a healthy, happy, sticky bean! Sending lots of your way!
Hello all - wishing everyone lots of luck and for this new thread.
Mannie - congratulations on your - that is wonderful news. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.
AFM: Very grumpy this weekend. Day 38 of cycle and AF showed up. Not really unexpected since had a BFN on day 35 but had a little bit of hope that I might have been pregnant. Good news is that now can get started on next IVF cycle - my first frostie transfer. I think blood tests start in about 10 days. Will keep you posted. Had one of those days when just about every female I saw out looked pregnant or had a baby in a pusher. Some days it doesn't affect me but today was one of those days - just wanted to cry.
Ruthie glad to see you back on-line.
Sorry for lack of persies - don't mean to be selfish - still getting to know you all. My thoughts and wishes are with you all though

Good to see the new thread has started with positive vibes - Congrats to all those who have - hopefully that is a sign of things to come.....
Well, settling in for the *sigh* . Fertility friend said I can test on the 7th of Nov if AF doesn't show up before then! For some reason I feel very positive this month but I am trying not to get my hopes up....
Spoke to my Dr and he said if I get AF next month he will refer me to a FS. I would prefer a BFP but at least I will feel a bit more proactive going to have some tests etc. It beats sitting around waiting month after month! Not that I expect to get any answers......
Angel, hope you are feeling better and the drugs have kicked in!
Big hi to plc1805, jen, ruthie, hannahd, jenushka, tutmae, WTH,mollycat.
Big congrats to Mannie - what a nice surprise!
Megsmum, sorry to hear AF showed up. Sending a big hug to you.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. It was my nephews 5th birthday party today (I made the cake -fottball theme) so I am a little exhausted.......
Mannie - congratulations. Hopefully you're the first of many for the new thread.
Jen - yep, we've still got the new bathroom to use. I've actually done very little (except get in the way), lug old floor boards out and get in the way.
Krystie - I always was pretty flat until about 16-17 weeks. Could hide it almost forever. You'll catch up to your avatar pretty soon.
Sorry I have been off line for a while - have been lurking but have been a bit down - 2 baby showers and a birth. I have some big news. I had an FET on Saturday and will POAS in 10 days. Have told VERY few people and can scarcely believe it myself.
Hannah, darling, I too held my girlfriend's baby at 3 days and was OK - I cried a little on the way home.
Congratulations Nickster - I cried with happiness for you.
Mel - we are TWWing together! Good luck darling.
Babymiracles - I know what you mean - some days there are pregnant women and children everywhere. I am sorry the witch arrived but all the best for next cycle!
Megsmum - I am so sorry sweetheart - talk to you when you are feeling better xx
Issy - keep your chin up my love we are all here to support you and lots of us have been through (or are going through) IVF and can hold your virtual hand
Mannie that is WONDERFUL news. What a positive way to start this thread - thanks sugarpie!

Love

The first babies in my angel's old belly buddy group have just been born (Helen's twins, 7 weeks early), and while I am extremely happy for her, I didn't realise how hard it would be for me. I'm so happy to be lucky enough to be pregnant again, but a reminder like this just makes me realise how much I still grieve for my angel. My throat is all choked up, and I'm right on that cliff edge of bawling. I've been trying to tell myself that rather than making my angel's EDD a sad day, I was going to try to make it more about remembering how I felt when I knew there was a baby in my belly for the first time, and focusing on the positives. But I know now that it's going to be very hard not to let the sadness in as well.
issy-- Now you've gone and made me blush! Thanks for the huge compliment--you have no idea how much it means to me! Wishing you the best of luck for your last 6 mo's of uni--you're almost there!!
Saying loads of prayers for you that the new year brings you your long-awaited, and much deserved bundle of joy!
megsmum--Noooo! That stupid, stupid witch!! Fingers are crossed for your next IVF cycle.... big , hon... I know how disappointed you are, and I'm so sorry!
babymiracles--Grrr.... so sorry to hear about AF! At least now you've got the green light and are able to move forward with the IVF and frosty transfer. While it seems there's never anything to look forward to with AF, at least you know that now you're not stuck waiting in limbo anymore, and you're on your way towards your goal of holding your earth-bound baby! Best of luck for you, hon.... big
Mel--Good for you for feeling positive! I'm your TWW ends with a BFP!!
dellydoo--Saying loads of for a successful FET!! Good luck in 10 days when you POAS!! Keeping everything crossed for you!
Krystie--Aww, hon..... your time for holding your earth-bound angel is coming! It's ok to let the sadness in and to grieve for your little lost angel--she was and will always be a very special part of your journey to becoming a mom! You won't ever forget that first excitement, then the complete and utter devastation.... it's been driven into you now.... but you can learn and grow from the tragedy of a loss like that.... and you can gain a whole new appreciation for life and love. Lots of for you and for little Chyan, too! *kiss*

Big apologies that I haven't been online for a couple of days.
Things have been pretty messed up down here. As most of you know AF finally showed up after being 18 days late. Well it's still going strong now 9 later. I have always had alot of problems with my hormones and get depressed but up until Sunday afternoon I was coping. Then last night I had massive breakdown and had to go to the hospital where they had to track down my poor Dr, turns out at the moment my hormonal changes are affecting my bipolar plus all the stress of the last 2 weeks. I have had to go back on my meds which are unsafe during pregnancy and make me gain massive amounts of weight. So we have to postponed our TTC. I don't know how long I have to stay on them either. Devastated doesn't even begin to describe how i am feeling. Yeah well that's enough about me.
Thinking of you all and wishing you all the best
Take care
Sorry I've not been around very much - I think I'm starting to get lazy again. Haven't been sleeping the best so it kinda throws my whole day out. Not complaining though, don't care how uncomfy I get as long as Bub is ok.
Big Hugs to you all - am going to try and stay up for chat one night soon.
Am going to start my Christmas shopping soon, starting with everyone in here - have ordered BFP's all round. Am going to wrap them all up in pink and blue and tie them up with a bow covered in **sticky vibes**.
KL - just wanted to send you a big hug. Can totally understand those feelings. I got really emotional the day I set up the nursery for this bub. I found a little toy bear I bought when I was in Canada & pg the first time. Sadly that bub didn't get to see the bear and was almost going to keep it in my cupboard and not put it out for this bub but he's so cute. Everytime this Bub gives it a cuddle I will secretly know that Bub is giving his/her big bro/sis a hug for me.
Anyway - here's another big hug for you all, catch up again soon.
MO3B--Oh, honey... To say "I'm sorry" seems so insignificant, but for lack of a better word... truly, I'm sorry for what you're going thru right now! I wish I had some brilliant advice to give, or some way to take away your pain. Please just know that we're here for you, no matter what, so feel free to vent when you need to. Take care, hon.... big, huge hugs for you! *kiss*
Angel--Thinking of you always & missing you! Hope you were able to get your rest and are almost back to "normal".... whatever that may be! Love ya lots! *kiss*
