can you share some of yours with me that would be great!
-
It says stress causes lower levels must be time for me to chill - out
-
Aw Kell, awesome news sweetie!!! Just absolutely awesome. Dont worry about the progesterone, cos at this stage the little bubba has implanted and is increasing so I'd think if it was going to cause a drama it would have by now sweetie (I'm no expert but that is what I think). Kell, just so you know I walked away from an early u/s and stressed out for a full week as there was just a sac, no heartbeat or anything visible. Apparently it doesnt develop until the middle of the 6th week closer to 7th week.
I would never ever have one earlier than the 7th week again for that reason, the stress almost sent me crazy!! Just cautioning you cos I really would hate you to be in the same position as I was that time. A week later I returned at there was a HB making that whole week a complete waste of my time (stressing). The levels are fantastic!!!!
Bons why wont he give you a referral for an U/S?? And more BT even if they just make you feel better?? Mine I did a little nagging for another BT yesterday but he gave in, I thought it best to leave it a week or so before I mention the U/S at 8 weeks that I also want. If they are worried about the cost on the public health system tell them you will get it done privately at a clinic, the cost is usually around the $60 mark after medicare rebate and sooo worth it. But then what does the cost of it really have to do with the Dr. I also think that about the blood tests I request, it is my right, I pay the medicare levy and so does DH and the tests I have done dont even get close to the ammt we pay so WTF is their problem...
Aww Dory not long now sweetie!!
AFM I just dont 'feel' pregnant. I keep thinking about it over and over again and I am fairly sure I 'felt' pregnant by this stage last two pregnancies. Even the early m/c last month I 'felt' pregnant. It is odd. I have slight waves of nausea every now and then, by bbs dont hurt and are not swollen, I usually break out in pimples straight away til late pregnancy....none...touch wood I really dont want the pimples. But I would like some sort of symptoms that jumps out and says 'yep you are pregnant' which has my doubts about the results of the BT I get today. I have a sinking feeling of something just is NQR (not quite right) maybe it is all in my head but I just dont think it is in my head. I think something is wrong and the levels are going to not have increased properly.....call it intituition. Gosh I hope I am wrong I really do.
Reet, so glad that you are feeling less stressed out sweetie!!
-
Mum22 - thanks for your support. i so get you on not feeling pregnant
Cant wait to here your great levels today! have you had them yet or doing them today?
trying to be stress free today going out for lunch with my friends and trying to get about 20 loads of washing done im so behind
I just want to see something a sac anything next week anything else will be a bonus
Where are you Forshelby? hope your enjoying your first week of not working. is your scan this week or next week?
-
Hi Everyone, just a quickie before I drop the car off at the mechanics and then snuggle into the couch for a nice nap. (already... lol) I'm doing this one from memory so excuse my vagueness.
Matthews mum - Good luck with your little embie on Friday!
Reet - I did join a bb group, but honestly, I found it cold and stale. (except for Iona's presence) I don't know why.... it just didn't have the same warmth as this thread and you lovely ladies do. Maybe we should all move over to the paml thread at the same time? Then it will feel more like home.
To everyone who asked about my lady of leisureness- I'm having a great time! I did some vacuuming and swept the tiles yeterday, then just veged out and started knitting a blanket for bubby. DP thought it was very cute, and marvelled at my knitting skills. LOL. I may or may not do some baking today, not sure what to make, actually..... or if I have the right ingredients. I suppose fate will decide. I'm leaning towards making a gingerbread man.
Stay tuned for my secret family recipe for Russian Caramels, coming soon! Basically just caramel fudge... but OMG so delicious, I must share it with you ladies.
Sorry if I've missed anything important, I am lurking though, just too lazy to sit down and do persies. Right now I'm lying on my back with the laptop propped up on my knees. Slack!!
Have a great day, everyone. :)
-
Thanks for all the msgs ladies, I'm also hoping Sept. is a great time for us all to get UTD.......after all it is the first month of Spring (it works for animals) lol..... Hope everyone has a great day today.
Mum22- Good Luck with your BT results I'm looking forward to seeing those big numbers for you I know they will be..;)
Reet- Sounds like the perfect place for a getaway no area of Australia is more gorgeous than our top end...I hope you have an absolutely wonderful time darl and get to kick back and have a well deserved time of RnR. Have fun and safe travelling to you and your DH.
Sorry if I have missed anybody I will be back later though.
Take care everyone.
-
Yeah we should all crash the paml thread a bit later all together. i love this little group
We def need all your recipes forshelby!
Wow cant believe your 11 weeks already your doing great!!!!!
ummmmm i have a dilemma my friends want to go to sizzlers for lunch! should i go i do would anything be safe to eat there
i dont really want to tell them im preg yet. Def avoid any salads and soft serve ice cream?
-
Kell you will be fine. I ate soft serve ice cream all of my first pregnancy and it didnt cause any problems....Was craving thickshakes from mcdonalds.....hmmmmm
Salads are fine arent they?? I woulda thought so. Stay away from chicken if you are out I always find when preg.....too much of a chance of it not being kept at right temp. Anything else you really should be fine, What is Sizzlers anyways?
Forshelby, yay for you time sweetie!!
Clairesmummy, thanks sweetie :)
-
Its all you can eat salad bar thingy with food sitting out- think the salads sitting out are something you have to avoid because of the listeria. the listeria can sit in the soft serve machine too. i get so confused. id rather be safe than sorry ummmm still going to go ill just be careful what i eat
-
Hmmmm, just get something really light and a soft drink and tell them you are getting over tonsilitis or something and your throat is too sore to have anything else ;) or a tummy bug and your tummy is not quite ready to handle a lot of food ;)
-
I also was very very naughty last pregnancy and ate kabana quite often.....didnt know you weren't supposed to until later.
Hey why dont you just suggest somewhere else and tell them you heard someone got food poisoning possibly from there last week....that would work. Say you are not willing to take the risk as you have a daughter who needs you to be well..)
-
Just spoken to Dr on phone he said he prefer not to give results on phone and that I need to come in.......Not liking the sound of it at all.......so I am just sitting here wondering when/if I should go in to get them..........not good :( in fact I just feel like crying at the moment.........Very VERY numb.
-
Mum22- Oh darl, it may just be his preference to give the news in person no matter what the results are, I would be heading straight to the DR now and getting your results darl. I know it's hard to but try to remain positive as scared as you are right now I am here if you need to vent and sending you many many many cyber hugs. I hope and pray for you that it's all good news. Sending you truck loads of sticky vibes as well darl. My heart goes out to you right now I so hope it's nothing horrible and he just wants to give you the good news in person. Some DR are a little weird at giving any type of results over the phone mine won't tell me anything over the phone either they have to do it in person even when it's nothing at all to worry about. FX and everything I can cross right now for you is crossed darl. Good Luck and let me know how you go please.
-
I am still sitting here, hyperventilating and shaking about it. I dont think it is a good idea to drive as I am too stressed out.....
Just trying to calm myself down a bit somehow.
Will go as soon as I can do that.
-
I feel so helpless to you right now and not really sure what to say to help you darl, I do know exactly how you feel and I just wish I could make it better for you. As corny as it sounds try to think happy thoughts darl. We are all here for you. Take some long deep breaths and concentrate on happy things, that's the only way I can get through rough times like this. Is your DH any where close and handy to you would he be able to go with you to the DR?
-
Hi Thanks Clairesmummy. I feel like such a clown, I had a complete panic attack and rang my mum in tears who came and got me and took me to the Dr cos I just couldn't bring myself to do it. All turns out a waste of time stressing, results came back and levels are 347 today from 35 on Thursday I think they only have to double every 48 hours so it is all good, they have doubled 3.15 times in 4 days when they only needed to double twice. PHEW......big sigh of relief. I did ask for U/S at 8 weeks which I have to do at the private place and pay for to have it as public wont allow anyone to have scans for less than 18 weeks unless problems....That is what I got told. Doesnt make much sense as I thought the nuchal scan was something that was done at 12 weeks, but if I have to pay for a couple of scans then it wont be much in the long run and will prob take me over the medicare limit and I will get more back so the joke is on them.
I really appreciate your support Clairesmummy. Gosh I hope you get your :bfp: this cycle more than anything!!!!!!!:pink-babydust::bluedust::pink-babydust::bluedust::SAAF::fertilise:
-
Clairesmummy BREATHES A HUUUGGGGGEEEEEE SIGH OF RELIEF for you Mum22- and don't feel like a clown it's all good and I am sooooo happy for you right now and I really did breathe a bloody big sigh of relief for you darl. And they are really good numbers darl, Congrats again.:dance::clap: I glad I could offer you some type of support darl it's great great news for you. ;) And a huge thank you for all the baby dust I'm going to be needing it...lol.....the count down has begun to my O day and I  that this time we get it right, but hey if not I will stick around in here until I do...lol.....I have just purchased some OPKs so going to see if I can hit the right mark this month and see what happens from there.
I had to pay for 2 of my US that they done when I had my MC but I got most of it back from Medicare. But when I had DD nearly 5 years ago though I never paid for any scans......But I say even if we have to pay for them it's money well spent just for peace of mind and the joy of seeing that adorable HB.
-
Thanks sweetie. I will be on here checking to see how this cycle goes for you. OPKS are the best, I used them last preg with DD2 and last month (chemical) and this month BFP so trust in them, they are fantastic!! Plus they get rid of some of my addiction to POAS ;)
-
You are welcome my dear......I have 50 of them on their way to me from Ebay, I bought them yesterday so hopefully they will be here before I want to start using them....lol.....AF usually last 5 days for me and this is only day 2 so they should be here well and truly before I need them. Not sure what I am doing with them just yet though like when to start testing and how often and at what times of day. But I'm sure if I get stuck and ask somebosy in here will give me the heads up on what I should be doing......lol.......
-
They are really easy to use Clairesmummy, basically a quick guide would be dont drink too much liquid in the hour or so before testing as it dilutes the test. Dont use first morning urine, it isnt recommended. they usually recommend to test somewhere between 10am and 6pm (urine can be stored for testing for a couple of hours if needed). Try to test at the same time of the day. Basically you usually ovulate 12-36 hours after + so they recommend BD the day of + and two day afterwards (or until temp surge confirms ovulation has occured). They aren't like HPT, the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control one. A weak or shadow line is a - result. :) Hope this helps. Just PM me any time when you start using them with any questions etc I have used them for a coupla months now so am confident in using them!!
-
Thanks heaps for that and be expecting alot of PMs.....lol......I will let you know how I go with them and when they turn up...
-
Ha I will keep my inbox clear for you sweetie!! Expecting to be kept up to date with all your tests ;)
-
Thats great Mum22 - sounds like were about the same dates. its so stressful isn't it. i felt the same as you yesterday glad it all worked out!
-
hi everyone,mum22-glad all went good at dr's,it's normal to feel paniced, take one day at a time...thanks all for your well wishes
-
Glad to hear Mum22 :)
Just a quick update here- Me and DP did not split. I am such an idiot  he asked me to move in :o With everything he was saying and the way he was acting I was seriously convinced that he was breaking up with me. I should stop being such a hormonal git lol.
-
Damprye- That's certainly good news for you. Don;t feel bad we all get it wrong from time to time but when we do get it wrong it makes us feel good when wonderful things like that happen to you. ;)
-
Oh mum22- Im so glad that everything is fine! I was so panicky for u earlier but was full of relief once i had read on and saw that everything was fine. Wat a stressful day for u! :) :)
Damprye- Great to hear! I hope hes changed his relationship status back from being single now ;)
Clairesmummy- Good luck with the OPK's! I had no luck with internet cheapies.. according to them i didnt O at all last month! hmmm not sure how thats possible?! I hope they work for u tho.. the supermarket ones are too expensive! Good luck!
Kellbell- Oh that wld be awful going to sizzler and not being able to eat whatever u wanted! I think i wld be the same tho.. not worth the risk. Did u still manage to leave full tho?? and with no1 guessing whats going on?? :)
My edd is 19th sept.. my dh will be away for it so just thought it wld be a good idea to get away when we can! It wont be as hard i dont think now that im pg.. im sure i will still feel a bit sad tho :(
Bons- Did u get bt results?? I hope so and i hope they're fantastic! :) Yes and make sure u pester for early u/s or change drs! I dont think i cld stand waiting til 12 weeks! That wld drive me insane!
Forshelby- Yes thats a great idea! Lets all join and take over the paml thread at the same time! They wont know what hit them! :)
Hi to everyone else too, hope ur all wonderful!
-
Ah that is lovely Dampre. Congrats I'd say!! Cute!!
Matthewsmum thanks sweetie. Thinking of you.
Kell, I think I am 5 weeks today officially based on cycles, but more like 4 weeks 3 days if I go off ovulation. Dr was showing me anything between 100 and 5000 is normal for 2-3 weeks since conception (4-5 weeks pregnancy) so I suppose going off those numbers if numbers continue to multiply then I should be in the top of the range of that thank goodness. He had a little print out of what the levels should be on the wall and kept pointing it out to me :) cos I was a wee little bit stressed.
I just wonder if it is only me but I find it really odd that my preg symptoms are really not present and the little bit of nausea I have been having seems to have not visited much today. Plus I have been fairly off sweets yet today everything was on the cards sweet wise. Just a little worry at the back of my mind I suppose. I'm sick of checking for blood, I just want a nice normal happy preg where I dont stress....
-
Kell- Have a look at this website Sublingual Progesterone | Fertility Progesterone there is a natural progesterone cream u can use whilst pg and its apparently safe :)
-
Thanks :) also a quick question... when should I test? lol
-
When did u last test damprye?? Maybe give it a go now?? Do u know that u have O'ed or cld this be a longer cycle then just 20 days?? Good luck! :)
-
FF said I O'd a day later than normal. Not sure what my cycles are doing but no temp drop yet and cervix is still high :o
-
Mum22 - glad things worked out but so sorry you had to go through all that stress. Did you ask the Dr next time to tell you over the phone, given it caused so much anxiety and stress this time?
Forshelby - a girl after my own heart.... all the time in teh world and not enough time to do persies. Me to a tee. Glad you are relaxing and baking. My friend recently gave me a receipte for russian caramel, but I am not a big fan of caramel so haven't made it.
Mathew's Mum - thinking of you ... and especially on Friday. Fingers crossed.
Kell - good luck on Monday.
Reet/Bons - hilarious! - I am in far too many threads and have trouble keeping up. It took me ages to feel brave enough and comfortable enough to move from the TTC thread, and I still haven't gone completely. So I know how you feel. I found it hard to relate to some of my fellow Belly Buddies and even now, sometimes feel on the fringe a bit, whereas in TTC threads I never have felt that way. Not sure if it's just me and some paranoia? I am in a couple of pregnancy after loss threads and they are actually really helpful... and there are even some recent TTC escapees in there like Ferals and Murray and it's so awesome to catch up with the old crowd again. In the pregnancy after loss threads people are all at different stages, but that's good. I find them really supportive, but that's just me.
Happy 1st anniversary - how time flies. Great time of year to be camping up north too.
Possum/Loops - thinking of you.
I am off. Having been having a raging battle with my demons recently, but seem to have come out on top for now. It's a nice feeling. Today, for a little while, I even believed we could have a happy outcome. I am curious, why is it so much easier to believe in happier outcomes for someone else than for yourself? I hope your BFP's are not far away....
-
Kellie - Yes, let's start a revolution and take over the other thread! LOL... and thanks for the encouragement, I still can't believe I've almost made it to 12 weeks. A part of me is afraid of getting bad news at the scan though.... just trying to think positive as always. About your sizzlers question, I wouldn't stress too much about avoiding certain foods. At first I was all 'oh I can't have this, or that..' but my cravings got the better of me, and I've just gone with the general rule of 'fresh is best'. I had cheerios the other week... (LOL) salami, you name it, I've had it. I have stayed away from the softserves, though... mostly because regular icecream is so much yummier. I am careful though, always inspecting any salad I eat making sure there's no sign of oldness like brown leaves or wiltyness. Since it's diy salad bar though, I would avoid that part for sure. Let your tummy guide you!
Mum22 - Haha, Kellie might freak her friends out a bit if she says she's avoiding food because someone got food poisoning there! "Nah, none for me, but you guys can get food poisoning!" :D So glad your results came back all good, and it's ok to be a clown now and then. Just remember not to panic before you know the facts. (easier said than done.) Also, your dr fibbed. Scans are routinely done before 18 weeks, so I have no idea why they would make you pay to have one at 8wks. I had one at 7wks free of charge, and there were no problems suspected, nor any uncovered at the scan. I'm also booked in for my nt scan next week which is also free. Liars make me cranky. I would call your doctor on his fibby ways and tell him you have the right to a dating scan.
Clairesmummy - It depends on your cycle length as to when you should start testing. I don't have any more OPKs left so I can't consult my trusty instruction leaflet. Perhaps google it? I always used the 7 day tests, and would end up with 4 - then 2-3 +. Just remember, always at the same time of day, and do not stop testing or skip any days or you could miss your surge. Once you've seen it you can stop, but I always just did the 7 every month. Oh, and I actually used FMU since it's so hard to pee on a stick at work and keep it discreet..... worked fine for me.
Reet - Glad you like my thread-crashing idea... hehe. It's a revolution, baby! lol...
Damprye - Yay for not splitting up.... :) so relieved. Test NOW! NOW NOW NOW! LOL... go for it, hun.
Dory - I don't know why it's easier to be positive for others than ourselves. Maybe it's our way of protecting ourselves from pain and suffering if it does all go wrong? (not that it makes any difference at all) It sounds morbid, but if we can turn around and say 'I KNEW something was wrong' it's easier than 'I never saw this coming'. I don't know if that makes sense or not. And please do try the caramels, they're sooooooo good. I command you to try them! LOL :) I'm also glad I'm not the only one who doesn't feel right in a bb group. I definitely understand the feeling of being on the outer. Either we're both paranoid, or it just isn't as warm and supportive as TTC threads. Not long now until you have that beautiful bundle in your arms. Believe it, sweetie. I sure do.
-
Forshelby- Thank you for that info it's greatly appreciated. This cycle has been 28 days for me, woohoo to a shorter cycle. The sad part is that once again the time I think I should be O'ing is the week end we are off to another campdraft.....so Im thinking I will make it like a camping trip for DD and set up a seperate bed for her away from us and I will be taking my OPKs with me and my chart this time as I don't want to miss anything....lol
-
Forshelby im super excited for your 12 week scan. its a beautiful thing they are so cute with there rolling, waving and sucking. that was my fav scan with my DD we were just in awe that it was already a formed little person. It still makes me almost cry thinking back we were on a high for so long after that. it will be all good - the chances are so low now its not worth thinking about. cant wait to hear all about it!
Dory you are having a HAPPY ENDING we will all believe it for you till you have that gorgeous newborn in your arms. not long now its been a long road for you but you are so close. im sure your angel babies are looking out for their mum and sibling big hugs we will all be cyring happy tears for you when we read your BA im sure
Clairesmummy sounds like youll have a great story to tell your child one day about there conception. get on it girl and make that bubba on your campdraft :p
Dampyre - Test now cant believe your four days late i have a great feeling for you. come and join in our crusade to crash the preg thread all together.
well i ate a hot meal, and some of the pasta and breads and the desert without the soft serve. no salads i dont trust them. anyway i ended up telling them we are really close and i thought ill need them if something goes wrong. anyway there were really positive and excited for me so im glad i told them.
its slowly leaking out im hopeless keeping it in :D
-
you know what i feel like tonight that dip forshelby with the sour cream. my DP said he wont go and get it - what a meanie :p
all those men in movies and tv run out for there partners cravings
-
Mum22 - Dont feel silly, My Dr wont give out any results over the phone so I have to make an appt, Im so glad your results came back great! xxx
Reet - You make driving 10 hrs seem like a really normal occurence :) Thats a huge distance!! have fun camping, DH used to go to Weipa a lot for work when he was on patrol, I think I will join in the BB thread after my 12 week scan, feeling a bit up in the air at the moment, I made it to 12w 5d last time, so i just want to make sure this is really happening and I dont want to be a downer while Im waiting xxx
Dampyre - Haha, Men are confusing creatures arent they! Glad everything is getting back on track for you! xx
kellbell - Glad sizzler was good, :) , Im not the best at keeping secrets either, Im trying really hard though !
Dory - I agree with Forshelby, It is much easier to be postive for someone else, Your baby is coming home, not long til that stitch comes out, Im feeling excited and postive for you!
Possum/Loops - Bug hugs xxx
Alice - Your cycle cant be far off? xxx
Clairesmummy - I definetly think your DD needs to have a seperate tent! :) Good luck planning the BDing bonanza! xxx
AFM - here is my whinge - My DS keeps jumping on me and elbowing/kneeing/generally bumping my bb's :( I nearly want to cry, Dont get me wrong Im really glad that I have this symptom but oooowwww they hurt - whinge over.
heading to Dr's again on friday for DS's needles :( will get results then, and he will have to give me an u/s referral then cuz i will be one day off 7 weeks and I need to be able to organise it so DH can come with me.
Babydust and stickyvibes to everyone xxxx
-
Yay for the 12 week scan forshelby!!!
Thanks girls for all your support it is really appreciated!!
Dampre have you tested already???
Mmmmm Kell, dip, mmmmmm may have to get some of that today.
Thats good Kell cos I think what you have to decide is .... would you tell them if something happened?? If the answer is yes then why wait to tell them you should share the fantastic times too. Glad the meal was okay too ;)
Clairesmummy sounds like you have a plan. If your DD is like mine then she will be out cold when sound asleep anyway!! Kids!!
Reet thanks sweetie, and Bons too.
Hey Reet how are things progessing for you sweetie?? Bub no 3 and my tummy had popped out slightly I swear. I am really skinny so it doesnt take much just looks like I may have been eating too much lately ;)
-
Morning ladies..
How is everyone???
Mum22-im glad everything is ok...
Well i think aunt flow has reared its ugly head and looks like its going to be a dragged out process.....I used a crystal clear pregnancy test yesterday as they didnt have the other brand....and i got an evap line...not happy....as it gave me a glimer of hope
I am taking elevate at the moment and the pharmacy told me i can take extra folate as well as a top up....is anyone taking anything else they can recommend as i see they blackmores have a pregnancy and breast feeding one?
I was told rasberry tea can help strengthen the uterus and is good after miscarriage..has anyone else heard this??? i know its good from the 36th week....but dont know how safe it is to use early on..as the pharmacy hadnt heard about using it earlier on but mum saw it in the womans day
Also anyone had accupunture for hormones and pregnancy etc?
I know im probably getting ahead of myself as this will only be my second month of trying after the miscarriage and mum reakons im getting a little ahead of my self and a little bit obsessive....and i think i am so i am going to try my hardest to relax and be positive...and not to test so EARLY this time as it only cause heart ache.....i bought my OPK tests again
I said to hubby are you sure you're swimmers arent damaged from all the smoking and drinking and being on these smoking tablets a few months bacl and i think he is upset with me now...so i think it might be a bit hard baby making this month....unless he gets in a better mood..
