Jayney - you are such a funny girl I'll get a blood test next week as a positive confirmation that we are pregnant then make the appointment with the specialist for the next steps. I think the process was going to be viability u/s around 6 weeks and then the medications. Last thing they want is non-viable pregnancy when you are on blood thinning medications  I have Factor V Leiden (same as Sarah) and will be on aspirin and clexane to thin the blood, prevent clots from forming and assist in the second phase implantation that occurs around 22 weeks (same as Sarah!!) We haven't told the families yet (and DH is currently staying with his parents while he works away and MIL has already asked - bless her!!) but we will tell them after we get the 2 HCG's that show a nice doubling.
Oh, ok, it's a very technical process. I didn't know there was another implantation phase??? Hmmm, you learn something new every single day.
So DH is staying with his parents & managed not to spill the beans, good man he is. I bet you're just pinching yourself every second of the day!!!
I'm so so so so so happy for you, I think you get that already!
Do you have to wait until the middle of next week to start the hcg bt'ing? It's far too long to keep me waiting! I think you should get one on Monday morning. You're in a hospital, hell, go & get one NOW!
Have a wonderful day & I'll be back to check on you later!
Not that technical - just a few extra steps and a few thousand u/s by the end of the pregnancy!!! We only found out about the second implantation phase after Caitlyn's birth.
****TMI WARNING*** following information may be distressing for some.
The OB told us that a IUGR that occurs around that stage is often related to the placenta not implanting fully (or being clotted off in some cases) around the 22 week mark. It is after this the baby has a significant growth phase (they are fully formed - just itty bitty things) and if they do not get sufficient nutrition then they are often stillborn like Caitlyn. She was perfect - blonde hair, blue eyes, fingers like my sisters, toes like DH but little for her gestational age. As they can find no other cause they think this may be the reason for her loss. The aspirin can help with the implantation part and the clotting and the clexane can help prevent clotting too.
As for the blood test - you are more impatient than me . Yes, I am in a hospital BUT the results taken in ED come back through ED for reporting and checking. Also, it would mean getting one of my work friends / colleagues to TAKE the blood (I am not talented enough to take my own!!) so they would ask questions as they know we lost Caitlyn and they know we are trying again. DH doesn't get back until Tuesday night / Wednesday morning and I would like him to be around (in case of worse case scenarios). So maybe Tuesday morning but probably Wednesday morning .... if I can wait that long
Your excitement is infectious (I can't get the smile off my face now - they are going to think I'm up to something!!) and your happiness a blessing to have. Thank you
As for DH - he is the worst person for gossip usually but he is restraining himself quite well ..... so far!!!
ETA - Ooooooh look at Miss Jessica!!!! I just noticed you updated your ticker for her (and the photo) Very cute!!!

Just a quicky as I am knackered after Scanlon's swimming class this arvo (I think I get a better work out than him.
A big congratulations to Michelle. It looks like our due dates are only one day apart!
Missy - Didn't some one in Iowa just win 200 million US dollars (270 million AU Dollars). Can't even imagine.
Thanks to every one for their congratulations. I Saw the Dr and had a Blood test. All is fine.
I am having tests on Mondays and Thursdays for the next 3 weeks to monitor HCG, and I told the Dr she has to tell me THE NUMBERS!!! Has to be Mondays and Thursdays so that I don't have to wait over a weekend. I am seeing the ob on 1/11 and will have an US that week.
Sorry for the lack of personals.
I hope you are all well.
