Mannie - it is true that there is a possiblity of having multiples on clomid but I think it's a very slim chance. I fell pg on clomid twelve years ago and only had one, and have been on since and never fallen pg at all. I have PCOS but I do ovulate by myself.

AJC - totally easier to say "i really need to chuck that out". That's why i had so much to go through (still have a fair bit to do). I know i put some things back in the box cause I was "not ready" yet to get rid of it. Maybe next time. I'd love to get back out there today but it's just too hot at the moment. I've also been working on the garage (that's another place where I hide things i might want later)

Jen - If I ever finish cleaning up here, I'll be on the first plane over

Whoa so much has happened in the last couple of days.
It's scary how much you can miss staying offline.
I am not going to try and catch up on all the recent news as I don't have a couple of spare hours to read all the posts but I would just like to say
to those of you trying to concieve heres some
to those of you who have recently gotten a
and to those of you who have recently lost their little angel you have my love and thoughts
I got very upset last night when I couldn't post in the old thread but a very nice lady cleared that up for me this morning. I am surpirsed at how quickly I got dependant on this site. It is now apart of my life.
So far I am thinking this could be the month. I am tired, hungry and moody. Will just have to wait and see.

    Hi All
Am back from my health retreat and have to say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I ate fabulous food, exercised, grieved, loved and laughed. My DP has said this is the most relaxed he has ever seen me in the entire time he has known me!
I missed you all but when you have no telly, no newspapers etc they don't let you have a computer (I asked!).
The biggest news is that AF arrived so we can TTC again. I am so so happy. We go to see OB on 8 October which is the same say as Charles's memorial service. Today am going to book to see FS.
Can anyone who is TTC via IVF tell me how many cycles you had to wait for starting again after mc? I have one frostie ready, a song in my heart and a spring in my step. I am even looking forward to jabbing again!
Love to you all and the stickiest of vibes for you all.

fifi--Oooh, a trip to Scotland! That's sure to distract you and keep you occupied until the 3 weeks are up for your u/s. Sounds like you've got two awesome things to look forward to! Too bad we can't just time along--just give it a little nudge to make it go faster!

plc--Hey Frickenbutt! Yes, I'm still tickled over our new names! Hope things are well with you! Friday's chat seems like a loooooong way off! *sigh* Hope your Monday's happy instead of crappy!

Ok, mollycat, your force field is officially up and running! My Jedi training has improved my powers of the force--I've got mass skills now! You're good to go!

dellydoo--Your spa retreat sounds SO relaxing...I'm so jealous! Although I'd be lost without BB for a week! I wouldn't be breaking into the vending machines for snacks, I'd be breaking into their computer to read the posts! Congrats on AF's arrival--welcome to the bumpy roller coaster ride that is TTC! Good luck with your OB appt. on the 8th--my thoughts will be with you on that day for Charles' memorial service. Big

larz--About 2 weeks to go until your scan! Won't be long now and you'll get to see your little Sofia or Sebastian!! I'm so excited for you!! Hope the 2 weeks flies by!

smi--I'm not ready for Monday yet! Uuugghhh!!! Where did the weekend go? How's the apartment hunting going? Big for you!!

AJC - Thanks, I haven't made any plans but I should make hubby take me out more often. I have just been feeling so crap that all I want to do is stay home with a bucket. But whether has been nice and hot so trips to the beach sound good.

Jen - Thanks, been trying to find the little with my doppler, but think it is still too early. Will be much more at ease once I can hear it!

Jen I brought vitamins called the B complex which has all the vitamin b's in it including B6. I couldn't find just B6 on its own so I hope this will do. Thanks for finding that information about BBT and shift work I will start next cycle if I dont get my BFP this month. Hope things are going well with you. Not long now until you can start thats if you havent already

RachaelB FS has prescribed clomid to me as my ovaries have Polycystic features however he does not think I have the syndrome even though I have slightly elevated insulin levels. Doing some more blood tests over my next cycle whilst on clomid to see if it helps. FS also stated my level of luteal phase progesterone wasn't to good but didn't explain how to improve it. Maybe the clomid does I'm not sure.

Dellydoo Glad that AF finally turned up and that you cant start TTC again. I am so jealous of your retreat sounded sooo relaxing. I cant answer your IVF question but hope that you dont have to wait and get jump right back on the band wagon

Mannie that AF doesn't show up and you get your BFP positive.

AJC Thanks for your input on the BBT topic much appreciated. :goodluck2: with preparing the babies room in must be such a happy time for you and DH.

Hi every one, thanks for the well wishes. fingers and toes crosssed for a postive result.

Tam & Mannie: i was put on 50mg of clomid as i have PCOS and could go 12 months with out a vist from AF.and was put on Clomid to help me ovulate which it did but unfortunately i m/c at 6wks.

Clomid does incrreases the chances of multiple pregnancies and unfortunately i was pregnant with twins but did not no after my m/c i was not given a d&c and after bleeding for 38 days i decided to see my specialist who sent me to emergency where blood test showed my pregnancy hormones had tripled i thought how can this be and the dr explained that i had an ectopic peregnancyand that the baby had now made its way to my uterus and that i ould now need a d&c i was devastated and crushed i had not just been robbed of one baby but now 2.

There's not a day that goes by that i dot think of the little angels i lost, but i feel ready now to embark on that challengeing journey again. its now been almost 3 months sine my D&C and am half way through my 2WW trying so stay positive yet not get my hopes up.

Im not sure if this answers ur questions or helps but i hope that we call stay hopeful and soon be blessed with the pitter patter of little feet soon.

my thoughts are with all best of luck and talk again soon.

p.s you girls are great, i love that i can open up and tell you the things i feel but never say to others.

TTC#1 for 5 months since blighted ovum

hi my name is lydia and I have been looking at these sites for ages and finally decided to post! im 21 and been with my partner for 3 years we are both professionals and are settled so before i go on i dont want to hear the your too young business or u should be married because ive heard it all before no offense! it took 15 months to get pregnant the first time but had a blighted ovum and the sac measured 8 weeks! i had no bleeding or cramping so i didnt find out til 12 weeks it was so awful walking round for 3 months with an empty womb. i chose the d and c as it had not passed after 4 weeks and it was classed as emergency. i never got follow up bloods to measure hcg or a secind ultrasound and i wish i had now for piece of mind as i have a retroverted uterus and sometimes wonder if maybe just maybe there was still a bit of hope. BUT i will never know! my cycle is always exactly 28 days even one month after d and c i was back to normal! it has been another 6 months and im sick of getting negatives! my partner is healthy and im a bit overweight but have recently lost 5 kilos and hopefully alot more! we both dont smoke or even drink! EVER and still nothing has happened. im sure i ovulate as my cycle is clockwork. ive finally made an appointment for my partner to get his sperm tested and bloodwork so hopefully it will rule some things out. I never thought i would have so much trouble i want some answers so we can save for ivf or adoption and have a good 20 years to work it all out. im soooo frustrated im a nurse and see pregnant women ALL the time! and i still cry often especially now as my due date was november 17. the only thing i can think of is i caught clamydia at 17 and it took 3 lots of treatment to cure it but i never got PID and doctors said it wouldnt be that but im still worried as i could of had it for a year as i only found out when my partner had symptoms and we both realised what had happened. ANY help would be great or to talk to someone going through the same thing!

    TCM vs Clomid

    QUESTION
As you know FS has prescribed me 25mg clomid to start next cycle as my cycles are 37 days long to help regulate my cycles. I went to a new acupuncture place today and the AP tested all different points of my hand with some kind of electro device.
He told me so much I couldn't believe it. He even new I had pco. So he said he can fix everything with 1 months worth of tablets and fall pregnant. He said the tablets will get rid of my pco. But they cost $1000 for 1 months supply.

The tablets are so expensive but sound so promising. I'm confused and dont know what to do. What do you think do i trust the TCM or go with the 25mg clomid?

I also posted this question in the LTTC thread to see what they thought.

i reckon try the clomid first i want to go on it myself! try the cheaper one! they give 3 months to see if it works (they try it first before IVF at my clinic) if it doesnt after that they commence IVF but in your case i would commence the acupuncture if u believe in it that much it just might work! good luck! let me know how it goes i have a feeling i might be in this forum for a while!

$1000 seems a lot of money for these tablets....try the clomid first and see how you go unless your happy to pay the $1000 then go for it...let us know what you decide!!
