    October 15th

I was just wondering if everyone was aware that October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day
There is a Wave of Light that happens each year. Everyone is invited to light a candle on October 15th at 7pm in ALL Time Zones, ALL over the world. If everyone Lights a candle and keeps it burning for at least one hour, there will be a continuous WAVE OF LIGHT OVER THE ENTIRE WORLD ON Octovber 15th
There is a web site you can go to which obviously i cant give you any links but if you google the date you will find it.

For me I will be wearing my pin and I will burn my Candle all day

The official colours are blue and pink so maybe on that day we could also type in those colours......
I believe the key to what we have been through inorder to make it just a little easier for the next person is AWARENESS...... The more we talk a about it the more we are there for others so that they dont feel so alone the more strength we can give to people to help them deal with it. To me that is the first step....... Once that happens the second step is why...... I dont believe why can really be answered because there is not just one answer..... but when we starte with AWARENESS we start the ball rolling and we help to make it easier for others.

Angel - well said. So true, the more people that talk about m/c the better. With more support we are all able to cope better. It's such a private pain, that often leaves one feeling helpless and a failure. With awareness and understanding this may take some of those "feelings" away and give everyone the support they need.

Wouldn't it be great if our doctors or hospitals could give our support sites (such as this) or people that we could talk to. Even if it is only a name for us to contact when we are ready.

I know that without the wonderful ladies on this site, I would not have coped. My own mother lost two babies (one between her first two children and the other between my sister and myself), even she does not talk about those pregnancies or lost children very often. I know that she didn't understand the way I was feeling when I m/c. I can only imagine when she was having babies the thoughts would have been "it's okay, you'll have another one". Sometimes it's just not that easy.

Jen - had trouble looking for somewhere to looks like the witch has found me. I'm so over it.

Dellydoo - for you and DP. Sounds like a beautiful way to say goodbye.

Mollycat....... I just had this vision when you mentioned that AF found you and you saying its not fair..........I had this vision of "mature" ladies... myself well and truley included ....... having AF turn up.... and it turning us into 2 year olds..... stamping our feet and screaming... throwing a "terrible twos" Tantrum (no smiley to picture this so you will have to use your imagination...... these big grown ups stamping their feet.... screaming.... like an oversized 2 year old.)....... Ohhhhh sorry...... maybe its just me ...... but it cracked me up. and still is

Angel Babies yep. I'm here stamping my feet. You made me smile. Thanks.
Actually, just asked DH if he was OK (he had a not so great day at work). He said yes, I told him I'm not.

I agree with angel and molly about the need for awareness. When I m/c all I could think about was that I didn't know anyone this had happened to. Until BB I had no one I could talk to who could understand.

    angel....that was me on monday

hi lydia...i've had shooting pains up my cervix on and off since my m/c, but not with any discharge. I don't really know what it is but its occurring less and less frequently. Now it occurs around O time and during my period. Whenever I've mentioned it to my GP, she just made sure it wasn't infection, but didn't seemed to concerned about it otherwise. Sorry, I haven't really helped much.

Actually, I'm wondering if anyone else experienced worse period pain following m/c. I always got cramps the first couple of days. Now I have much worse cramps the first day or two and they come and go right through. Hmm...maybe my body is still adjusting

    Hello everyone

21 - one of my first pregnancy symptoms (especially with my first pregnancy) was thick white lotiony discharge, around the date AF was due. I had cramping on and off, don't remember if there were any shooting pains though.

Hannah- after my first m/c (natural m/c), AF was quite very light (only 2 days). Then I got pregnant again and m/c again (this time with a D&C). My first period after the D&C was very heavy, especially on the first day, but I didn't have any cramping. I am now going through the 2nd AF after the D&C and so far everything looks "normal", but I've realized that I have quite a few cramps (which I never had before). Weird...

. thank you for posting the info about the awareness day. I agree with everyone else, once you realize that you're not alone, things get a bit less difficult to bear. I had the urge to talk to everyone about my m/c's and I heard so many heartbreaking stories about m/c's and stillbirths. One of my friends (she is already in her 60s now) said she has had 2 m/c's and a stillbirth and it almost ate her up. In those days there was no Internet and no online communities and people just didn't talk about it.

Oh, and AngelBabies, you are SO right about AF showing up...mine did 3 days ago and I hated her for it (I always hate her. I'm looking forward to the weekend when she will have said her goodbyes and I hope to not see her again for 9 months!!!!

hannah--Sorry to hear you're feeling so down I hope you sleep better tonight. So you're the one stealing all our daylight! DST is about to end over here... gets dark by 7 now. I've had fluctuating periods ever since m/c... some are really light, while others are extremely heavy and clotty ( sorry ). When it's heavy, I've noticed that my cramps are much worse. I'm sure your body it just trying to get itself back to normal.... hope it happens quickly for you!

Angel--Thanks for the Remembrance Day info. Ordered myself a remembrance pin this am, and also one for a girl that helped me out with the bookfair, and also with the 6th grade fundraising... I believe she had 3 or 4 m/c's. Just thought she might like it.... Think I'm going to buy a big candle when I go downtown, as well, so that I can keep it lit throughout the day on the 15th. Thanks, again, Angel!

mollycat--Awww, hon, I'm so sorry that d@mn witch found you! How the hell did she get through my force field? You go ahead and throw a tantrum all you like--you can't always be strong, and I know it's frustrating how long you've been dealing with this! Hope you feel better!

21--I had lot's of creamy CM with all my pg'cy!!

plc - honey I remember that chicken soup recipe so well! It is so lovely to see you again - thanks so much for your support.
Mollycat - I am so sorry darling - AF arrives on her freakin' broom and proceeds to belt us with the handle.
Hannah honey - I hope your pain eases - my first period was actually OK but I think that was more to do with being on a mountain in the lotus position (well cross legged anyway; until my ankles got sore).
Milla - I am with you on the 9 month AF holiday. Enough ALREADY.
Easha - "just keep going" is our silent mantra - well that and "Die evil AF witch die". I hope you are wrong about her this month sweetheart.
Angel Babies - Thanks for the remembrance day update - you always share these wonderful things with us - thank you. I was howling with laughter at your toilet tanty!
21 - Thank you so much - he truly is an angel
Jen805 - Honey - I hope this is your month

AFM - we got the autopsy results on Wednesday morning and I think you guys will understand how hard it was to hear that Charles was perfect. He was fully formed and everything was normal. It was a spike in infection in me that caused the m/c. I feel so sad but also hopeful because it means that we can make beautiful, normal babies. I just need to hold on to them.
Went to see FS yesterday and she is not really happy with my endometrium this cycle (7mm) so she is taking over my cycle (back on syneral) after I surge and looking at FET transfer next month.
    Love to you all
