Sorry to hear about your fire but glad that your all okay with your quick thinking and using the car as a safe haven for your children. Hope it didn't do to much damage
Ruth darling
I had bleeding at week 10 that turned out to be a subchorionic haemotoma. Sweetheart if your waters have not broken and you have not miscarried the doctors may be able to put in a cervical cerclage. I hope all is OK sweetheart

Oh Ruth!! I wish I were there .... like Jen said just focus positively on bubby. I am thinking of you and sending lots of your way. Did you get to the ER? Your post was a while ago so I'm hoping that you are there already and have had some reassurance.
Sorry that you have had to go through this extra stress - keep us posted please
OMG... I m a sick little puppy.... nothing but coughing and fevers......even had the day of work sick first time since I lost the twins... normally me and sick days just dont go together. Half way through the day I had to straighten myself up and head off to the Accupunturist. I had sooooooo many needles in... all over my arms, my chest and my head.... all designed to try and get rid of this flu or whatever it is..... its certainly not a normal flu.
Kristie....I laughed when I saw you havent POAS yet... EITHER HAVE I Normally by now I would have done aleast 3 or 4.....
Jen Jen...... The internet is still not working at home and even though I had the day off work I have come into work so I can still catch up with you this evening.... at least its only DH, DS and I here when I have one of my coughing fits....and there are no clients to cough all over....... I ll "see" you in a few hours

I almost forgot...I have an appointment today with FS...I am keeping the appointment even though Lee & I are seperated...you think that was a wise choice?
Ohhh SMI... you didnt make it to Chat..... I would say just go ahead with the appointment as long as you feel comfortable with it..... bugger what anyone else thinks..... and yes... 4 days to go and still no POAS.... i have about 10 of them in the toilet at home... waiting to be used... But i ll wait till Sunday.. .Hey cycle buddy.
Smi - I don't think it's crazy to still go to the FS appointment. You can still tell him the issues you were having and surely they will still let you get all the testing done on "your half" of the equation. It might bring you peace of mind if you find out that all your bits are in perfect working order. Good luck!
Oh, and thanks for being so proud hehe
Ok, just going through my to-do list for tonight and it looks like I can scratch off "Make Jen and Angel cry" :P Sorry girlies, but I'm glad you girls both liked it enough to cry! I'm majorly flattered
After quite a scare... around 8PM I found brown spotting in my undies then I wiped again and it was red. I was scared outta my mind. What scared me the most was the bad cramping in my lower back, lower abs and cervix area. So hubby got home not too long from me posting and he took me to ER ASAP!!
Well a doc saw me, did blood work and "felt" my cervix.. at that time ( Like around 10PM??.. He said my cervix was closed ( good news) he poked and he said it is not open.. but he said he can't guarantee it will stay closed and he spoke about a "cerclage (sp?) ( stitching the cervix closed so baby won't "fall" out) if needed. He said there was old blood in my vag cavity but that the cervix itself stopped bleeding. He said it could have been anything, from irritation of the cervix due to sexual intercourse to just broken blood vessels in there.
First a nurse came in with a doppler and she found no fetal heartbeat. Scared me stiff. I was in tears. Then like an hour later ( looks like they were trying to call a doc for an u/s machine)) but dunno what happened there.. so doc came back with the darn doppler.. and he did find a fetal heartbeat.. he said it was 140 ( it was 153 on 8/15) I asked if I should be concerned and he said totally not.. at different times of the day the babys heartbeat changes just like ours do when we are resting or "active".
BUT..BUT.. he said I have a threatened miscarriage so he said I am to be in absolute bed rest and "cervical rest".. ( no sex till delivery day ..poor hubby..) managed to smile.
They did blood work and in the end he told me my HCG levels were 12,000 which he said it was perfect for 10 weeks.
here is a comparison chart I found online:
PREGNANCY STATUS SERUM hCG LEVELS
from conception from LMP (mIU/ML or IU/L)
7 days 3 weeks 0 to 5
14 days 28 days 3 to 426
21 days 35 days 18 to 7,340
28 days 42 days 1080 to 56,500
35 - 42 days 49 - 56 days 7,650 to 229,000
43 - 64 days 57 - 78 days 25,700 to 288,000
57 - 78 days 79 - 100 days 13,300 to 253,000 ** I would fall here******
17 - 24 weeks 2nd trimester 4060 to 65,400
25 wks to term 3rd trimester 3640 to 117,000
After several days postpartum nonpregnant levels (<5)"
**sssiiiiiiiiggghhhhhh*****
So looks like bub is ok.. ( PHEW) but he basically said they have a "red flag" up when it comes to my pregnancy.
My next OBGYN appointment is this Wed. Sept 10th at 1:30 PM .. prayers much appreciated. Hoping that for my Birthday on the 14th I can celebrate in peace.
right now cramping has stopped but my cervix is sore from all the "touching" and am still spotting a bit.. . I'm asking God to please take care of this baby. I love this baby so much since before conception and as you can tell.. I won't be able to handle loss news at all.. I know my world would crumble below me. But I'm trying to think positive, for my sake for the babys sake. I know This baby is meant to be.. God is knitting him or her so very carefully in my womb.. I have faith in him... he will take care of my baby.
God bless you all Thank you so much for your prayers!! Much needed much appreciated!! ♥.
Ruthie- So so pleased to hear from you, have been checking all day. So sorry to hear you had such a scare but really really pleased things are ok. I know you will worry, will be saying lots of for you take it easy and rest up. sending you and hubby lots of sure this bub will be fine.
Thank you so much... and thank you all.. Well so far the doc said if my cervix opens even if it's a little bit I will need a "cerclage" (sp?) which is stitching the cervix shut till delivery ....hoping it remains closed.. on Wed the doc will check for that.
Again Thank you so much fro your payers.. It means so much you all understand how I feel..
I will keep you posted I'm still spotting a but its brown goop so I guess its old blood from yesterday.
**sigh**** just want Wed to come so I can see the bub in the u/s.. I was a bit mad as to why they didn't do one right away instead of scaring me with the doppler ( 1st time they did it the nurse didn't find a fetal heartbeat!! SCCCAARRRYYY!!!)
hugs to you all and I'm praying for you all to have healthy pregnancies and to see BFPs this month!!!
Good luck all of you and I cannot thank you enough for your prayers..they WORK!!!
Oh Ladies, what lovely messages to wake up to.
Kyrstie - I honestly think having BB to focus on forces you to not only acknowledge what your feeling but that other people need help too. My DP is working in Sydney during the week and I am on my own. Without BB I think it would be far too easy to concentrate on how rubbish I am feeling.
PLC - that is such good news 22 weeks darling that is simply wonderful!
Ruth - that is comforting news - I have been told I have to have a cerclage for my next pregnancy. I have been reading loads of stuff online about it. I can send you some website links if you like.
Smi - go to see your FS darling, it is your body after all.
OK - My goal for the day is to not be wearing a dressing gown at lunch time. Oh yes I am setting the bar high today!
Hugs to you all and have a fab weekend
Adele
