Leila- Welcome to TTCAML. I hope you are not here for too long. I'm sorry for your loss. I started TTC straight away after my first MC. Still waiting for the second one to finish but I would love to start TTC straight away. I noticed you had a missed MC. Did you have a D&C? I hope you are not depressed for too long. You will find lots of support in here.

Treelo- I hope you have a good weekend too.

Hi to everyone else and enjoy yourselves this weekend!

hmm well, i ranted about my brothers gf before, im actually a bit worried about her atm.... spoke to mum today, apparantly my brother came home and told her that gf is bleeding and cramping, but wont tell him whats going on, he is a bit of a control freak and quite secretive so he didnt want mum to ring her, to keep the peace mum didnt, now he is losing it at mum cos she didnt and he wants to know whats going on.
i wish i had her number, the horrible thing is that its quite poss she never even was pg, she has done this before, i hate to say it but i think she does it so she can fool him into having unprotected sex with her to get pg, only it doesnt work.....
but if she really is, then i know what shes going thru.......i dont know......

Hi Leila - Welcome and sorry for your loss hun. Sorry you have to be in here (but it's a pretty nice bunch of people to hang out with, i must say!).

StarrySky - your brother must be going through a lot, the poor thing. Does he want to have a baby? If he does, then i feel for him if the girlfriend is only using him for unprotected sex- not fair on your bro. But if she really was preg and she is m/c, then i feel sorry for them both ... i hope it all resolves itself in the best way for everybody. But i know how you must be feeling, cos family issues can get vey complicated sometimes!

    Have a nice weekend everybody!

    Hi Leila,
Firstly, so sorry for your loss. Everyone here seems to have been told different things about when to commence TTC. I was told by my Dr to wait until I've had two normal cycles before TTC and I know others didn't wait at all and a few fell pg straight away. I m/c'd 4 wks ago this morning and I still haven't started AF yet which is very frustrating as I want to be on the way to a healthy pregnancy NOW! What have you been advised?
    take care, Curl

Hi everyone thanks for your responses.
Ems i had to have a D&C i had it las Friday night 17/8.
Apparently the ob told DH night of D&C that everything was fine in there and no reason we can TTC immediately....
Starrysky i could imagine how frustrating that is for your family hopefully your brother will be ok and the gf isnt actually 'playing' this sort of game with him. Your mum sounds like she is stuck in a hard place though...
Decided as soon as spotting stops DH and i will TTC again - he really wants it to happen so hopefully with all the positive energy it wont take long (my fingers and toes are crossed)
    Hope your all doing ok

G'day. Just dropped in to say a quick hello, but could it be that everyone else has a life? Only me at a computer on a Saturday night? Or are we all at the boring part of our cycles and have nothing to report? Im still trying to work out where I am. Any ideas? I stopped taking the pill about 1/2 way through the month, Af arrives approx 3 days later for 4 days. Im counting my cycle from the 1st day of bleeding, but as I stopped the pill abruptly (impatient as I am) I'm not sure. I think Im Cd 8, but could I be wrong. As you can tell Im rather confused....
Happy Saturday night to all, hope your either Bding or out having a good night!

Leila - Im sorry for your loss hun. You are definatly in the right place here for understanding people.

Beaksie - Do you have msn??? if your ever bored you can chat to me on there - treelo_9@hotmail.com. In fact if anyone wants to add me to there contacts, your most welcome.
I think you should start counting from when you started bleeding, but it might be wise to use a OPK to just check if you ovulate when your meant to. I know how confusing it is......

    Hi,

I am new to this website and to forums, I had a m/c and d & C early august (10 weeks). Firstly, could someone please tell me what all the AF, DPO - all the shortened words. I understood some, but not all.

Secondly, we are trying again, I have noticed white thickish odourless mucous for the past 3-4 days. I am waiting for my period, I understand from previous posts, this can take a while. Is this normal, after a d/c, I have slight tingling in my nipples as well. I have done 2 preg test both came out negative - which I suppose means the preg hormones are no longer.

Honestly, I think I am trying to make myself think I might be preg again. But, the chances I suppose are very unlikely.

    Anyone help?

    thanks

    Hi there mumstar, welcome.
Im so sorry for your loss hun, but you are definatly in the right place for support and understanding.
As for the abbreviations -AF = Aunt Flo or period. DPO is Days Past Ovulation, Bd is Baby Dance or intercourse. I will find a link for you to a thread that has them all.

The white thickish mucus sounds very much like your ovulating, or have ovulated.
I know how easy it is to lead yourself into believing that you may be pregnant and it has happend to some, but i would say that its just your hormones getting back to normal, and some ladies do get sore and tingly BB (breast) around ovulation time. I would see it as a sign of your body getting ready for you to start trying again (if thats what you want to do) Some dr's say wait, some say your more fertile straight after a d&c, so maybe if your ovulating now, you may just catch the egg if you bd today and tomorrow.

    good luck hun

I'm so sorry for your loss, Mumstar. Welcome to the TTCAML thread. It's good to come in here and be amongst people who understand what you're experiencing. It can be pretty confusing and hard. As Treelo said, there is a thread that explains all the acronyms we use: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ead.php?t=2055 It took me just over 8 weeks from my D&C for AF to return. Some are able to start TTC straight away, others need a cycle or more to build up the emotional and physical strength to go again. It can also depend on what you're advised. If it's your second or third m/c in a row, you've never had children and you're in your late 30s like me, then it's likely that you should have blood tests done to see if there's any reason for the m/c. Hope that helps. *Hugs*

Beaksie, you're right! I think most of us must be in that waiting zone of the TTC cycle where it's a little bit boring! I've got another eight to ten days before I ovulate, I think. I've just started taking vitex again to see if that helps lengthen my luteal phase and improve my chances!

Leila, that's good news that there's nothing to stop you from TTC as soon as you feel ready. The ob who did my D&C told me to *have another crack at it* when he checked on me before I went home. He was really lovely and quite funny.

Hello to everyone else - I'll try to catch up properly after lunch!

Hi Ladies, I am new to this forum but needed somewhere to share my thoughts. We miscarried at 5 weeks just last week. We are very keen to start trying again. There is some blood still hanging around. When can start baby dancing again?

Welcome Wowzer, im very sorry for the loss of your angel.
In answer to your question, when your ready. My doctor told me that there is no physical or medical reason why we had to wait one or two cycles, and that we could try straight away if we were mentally ready to do that. Others say wait. If you had a D&C then you are very fertile straight after, hence the reason not to wait for a cycle.
Please take care of yourself, and your partner and keep posting, its the best way to start healing.

    hugs

Hi Treelo, how's your Sunday going? I'm presently enjoying a midstrength beer, after a morning of washing, ironing, washing and more ironing. It's a balmy 32ish degrees here today, so we're gearing ourselves up for the summer, which in our part of Aus, will probably be in full swing by next week.
On the TTC front, getting seriously bored with the whole waiting to O thing. Is it just me, or does 28 days go sooooooooooooo slow when you have babies on the mind??
To Wowser- So sorry about your loss. Hope you feel better soon, and get a Bfp. Big Hugs going to you XX

Welcome Wowzer, I'm sorry for your loss. Most doctors recommend you wait until after you stop bleeding to decrease the risk of infection.

Hi mumstar - I'm sorry for your loss. It's very common after a m/c to imagine yourself pregnant soon afterwards. I've been in this forum since March and I can't remember anyone getting pg the first cycle afterwards so I don't think it is all that commone, but it can happen. Your symptoms could be after O ones or they could be early pg ones.... you will just have to wait it out.

Welcome Leila - I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I hope your time here is a short one.

Lizjessie - I'm going fine thanks. When my work friend came in the other day she actually asked me if I had any news for her (meaning am I pregnant yet). She also asked this over the phone the day I had first tested positive and I said nothing yet. This time I said, well you know the last time you came in to visit and I wasn't at work, well, I had another m/c that day. You could tell she felt really bad for asking. I had my BTs done..... 3 huge vials of blood they took. Now I just have to wait for the bill..... I know the karyotyping one alone was costing $500 and I have no idea how much the others will cost.

ems - the work friend smoked throughout her pregnancy and both her kids appear to be healthy.... she also didn't change her diet or take vitamins or anything. She also fell pregnant while her husband and her were having troubles and had decided to stop trying..... it's just typical of what goes on.

Had to get out of bed twice last night to pee. I don't think it's an early pg sign as it's just way too early for that. I think it could be the fibroid causing it.... or else maybe just old age....lol. Had another vivid dream last night. This time I was at the hospital to get my lap done and I was on the bed and everything when the doctor told me they weren't going to do it - ever - and sent me home. I was so upset in the dream. I think that's my mind telling me I am thinking I will never get to the end of the damn waiting list. 5DPO and counting down..... 7 days to testing or more than likely AF.

Thanks for the warm welcome girls. I didn't have a d&c just letting it all come out on it's own. TBH we tried BD yesterday and there was a bit of blood but we will give a miss for a few more days so not to get infection.

Hi everyone......I haven't been here for ages as work and Family have kept me very busy!
