Satya i am sorry sweetheart that you have to go through this again, i cant even imagine it....I would try going to a specialist in infertility and look into a monitored cycle with clomid, it does help with short LP's and also they should test your progestrone levels after ovulation, perhaps some pessaries might help!

Kiwigirl i hope you are feeling better very soon..

Hello to everyone else and thank you so much for your messages about my dad. Well I started back at work on Monday and it felt very surreal. Best to keep busy tho. We also had the IUI on Monday morning, so we are in another TWW. There are two definate follies that popped, one either side so at least that doubles our chances...fingers crossed that this is the cycle, it will be our third try since the D&C. Kim got pregnant on our 2nd try of IUI, so to be on our third cycle is starting to worry us that maybe the first pregnancy was just a fluke! Hope everyone is going well, and good luck to those in the TWW with us!

Satya - it may be worth giving it a go. I have on a normal cycle a 10 day LP and 24 day cycle, and it seems that the Clomid has worked for me this month. My first miscarriage was almost identical to your recent one - a weakly pos HPT a day or 2 after AF was due (day 27 I think it was), then AF turned up on day 30.

But I should say that my ob prescribed it for me because he was of the belief that I was not ovulating or if I was ovulating that it wasn't "properly" whatever that means, not because of my LP. He based that on the CD21 progesterone that I had done a couple of months ago, but I should point out that it was taken a bit late in that cycle so may have been on the way down anyway - which he also admitted to me could have been a problem. Have you had a CD21 progesterone done at all - I always imagined that you would have?

However, despite this, I have been quite convinced for the last few months now that my short LP is more the problem and caused both my miscarriages. I have absolutely nothing concrete to base this on, just my gut feeling LOL I think I just needed the progesterone levels to stay up for a few days longer to help implantantion to be completed in time, which the Clomid seems to have done.

Anyway, I HTH you somewhat. Big hugs - I hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Hi everyone else BBL for personals and a big thanks for the congrats.
