Hi girls...selfish post coming. have had an extremely emotional day. Got to sleep at 2am last night, and up again at 4:30am. Went down to Melbourne at 5am with my dad to pick up younger sister, she's coming home for her birthday. Felt slight crampiness, and thought I felt blood coming out..so went to the toilet..but just regular cm.

Got back home around 4:30pm, went to the toilet and did a hpt, seeing as it'd been a few hours now since I peed, and hadn't drunk a lot today. When I wiped, I noticed a few streaks of red blood, and some pinkish mucus. Was crushed, and HPT was negative. Went and lied down on bed, and waited for Dh to come home..started crying

When he got home, I told him about the test, and what looked like the start of AF. He gave me hugs, and kisses and told me he wants to try again next month. If I were to fall pg next cycle, I'd be due just 3 weeks or so before BIL's wedding in England. I don't feel right missing BIL's wedding 'through choice', and I really think 3 weeks is too young to take a baby overseas. Any sort of complications could occur, BFing might take time to get establilshed, etc.

I asked DH why he wanted to try again, and he said that he really really wants it now, just a feeling he can't explain, thinks it might have something to do with seeing me hold one of our friend's 6 month old baby on the weekend, and holding the baby himself. I asked him why he wasn't so enthusiastic 2 weeks ago when I was ovulating. We still BDed around the right time, but not everyday, and not in the mornings, when it's meant to be better. He said he knew he didn't give it his best shot this cycle, but really really wants to try again this cycle..and will miss his brother's wedding if I do fall pg. I said I wasn't sure how I felt about that. I was just so upset because if I fell pg this cycle, timing would have been great..just all would have been spot on.

I got up and went to the toilet again..and no more blood or pink mucus. Not sure if it's just AF slow in starting..or if it's not Af or what now. Had another look at HPT, and compared it with the positive one from when I was last pg. Now I swear I can see a very tiny, faint as faint line in the same palce as the strong positive line from the last one. Dh says he can see the 'shadow' I'm talking about, but isn't sure it means anything.

So now I kind of have some hope again, but am sure I'm just going to be let down again!

My abdomen feels tight and swollen, but not AF crampy. Just..little niggles.

    What do you girls think?

Going to wait a few days, and if AF doesn't come properly by Friday evening, will test again I suppose.

Lisa - good idea to see what happens by Friday. You need to be careful about looking at HPT's after the time limit as many of them can have lines on them where they weren't before and when that happens they don't mean a thing - it is just an evaporation line. Then again testing in the afternoon hardly ever works for anyone. If you do get the chance to test on Friday make sure you do it with FMU.

    Will do.

So embarrassed..the hospital currently on ACA is the hospital where I'll end up giving birth if I get pregnant...all about how they're messing up births.

Satya—do you think the bleeding and cramping could be fibroid-related? Any news about the lap scheduling?

Jayney— might the estrogen levels be left over from your most recent pregnancy?

    Lisa and Treelo—hang in there!

Temp dropped since my last post, and I had a positive OPK, so I think I freaked out for nothing. Looks like Vitex didn’t shift my cycle so much afterall!

Mammal- unfortunatly not I m/c at 4 weeks 2 days so I don't imagine the levels were high and I had a full cycle before the test.

    HI everyone

I haven't been here for a while and sorry for lack of personals, but i have a question. D&C was 5 and a half weeks ago and no AF as yet but i haven't ovulated yet either - only thick CM no EWCM or Clear CM - does any one else have any idea what could be going on? or has this happened to any of you??

Leila—AF took six weeks to show after m/c for me, and from what I’ve heard on here, I was pretty lucky.

Jayney—Not sure on this one, but it certainly sounds like it could be an answer to the question of why you’ve experienced several miscarriages. Did your doc propose any solutions for rebalancing the hormones?

My Dr. said there wasn't any treatment. Just that it is(can be) a marker for decreased ovarian reserve. She said that if I wasn't preg in two months or if I mc again she would send be to a specialist. So I wait.
I have sore boobs and I tested yesterday neg. but it was likely too early anyway.

In my reading on the net it seems like rebalancing isn't the issue. It sounds like the estrogen is high to compensate for decreased reserves. So dropping the estrogen might not change anything.

I'll likely test tomorrow morning so

Leila - my D&C was on 13 August - just gone 6 weeks. AF showed up 6 weeks to the day, and it's full-on right now. 2 weeks ago I had a lot of cm aswell, but don't think I actually ovulated as such. Should be a different story in 2 weeks time though. My Ob's opinion is that there is no advantage or disadvantage in waiting to ttc again. I trust him implicitly, he's extremely experienced and up to date with current trends. So, with that in mind, my DH and I will be trying to catch the egg in 2 weeks time.

Hope your AF turns up in the next week or so, but don't be alarmed, sometimes she takes longer, hang in there, and try to keep busy and distracted yeah right!! I just keep telling myself "well, you'll be pregnant again soon, so meantime enjoy being able to do things without feeling nauseous, and eat soft cheese and sushi, and have a wine or two etc etc etc"!

Hi Everyone!!! Hope you're all well, and not going too mental! Ive been away for 5 days, so Ive just tried to catch up on all the posts and my head is spinning.
Our trip to Exmouth was exactly what the doctor ordered, though I drank a little too much and ate FAR too much. The highlight was a whale watching tour I went on, which was magnificent. I went by myseld while DP looked after DD. It was soooo lovely to have that experience, but also to have the time entirely to myself, as this is something I dont often get. We must have seen about 20 humpbacks which was amazing. Now we're back to the reality of home, its back on the wagon (so to speak) of behaving and TTC. I think Im either day 13 or 14 today, so I expect to O anytime. Then I'll be in for the dreaded TWW again. Does it ever get easier?? Anyway, sorry about the lack of personals, will definitely try to catch up over the next couple of days. Take care girlies!!

    Hi Leila,

I am 7 weeks and 3 days since d & c and still waiting for AF to show, I have and very little EWCM, manily CM. On and off the last week a little bit of crampy but still not AF, I am now taking the herbal supplement vitex. Hopefully, this regulates everything. Good luck

Mumstar - I've read a bit about vitex on a few of the threads, but don't know a lot about it. Have you had vitex prescribed to you by a naturopath, or is it just something you're trying yourself? And can you pick it up from local chemist, or only through naturopath? Am considering giving it a go myself, but not sure if I should go through a naturopath to get the appropriate dose (as I understand you need to be weaned off it once pg????).

mammal - yeah it could be fibroid related. I guess that's good enough reason to get the lap done even though I don't need to for TTC reasons. At least they'd clear it out and things might go back to normal.

kaib - Vitex is just from the chemist. I fell pregnant a few weeks after starting to take it then the next pregnancy took 5 cycles whilst on it. Prior to being on it, it took me 3 years to conceive (but that was with a different partner so not sure if it had anything to do with it).

It took me 7 weeks and 4 days after my natural m/c before I got AF for the first time... I'm sure it'll come for you soon

    Hello everyone,

Kaib - i decided to take vitex for myself. I wil stop once (praying) that I am pregnant. It is a herbal supplement. I bought it from chemist for about $11.00 (Blackmores). The bottle reccom'ds 3 x day before meals. I feel like I need to try something to encourage AF. It's starting to drive me nuts!! lol. I want to be able to start obsessing on ttw. At least then, I know my body is back to normal. Good luck

Mumstar & Satya - thanks so much for your feedback on vitex. I'm a little ambivalent about going on it - my cycles have been 28 days exactly since D&C, so I wouldn't be taking it for regulation of cycles as such. I was mainly hoping that it would plateau any hormone irregularity out to improve chances of conception - I experience extremely severe PMS - extremely emotionally labile (volatile!), along with a whole lot of other symptoms. I've made an appointment to go back & see my naturopath, whom I have only seen twice before, and that was before I had m/c. I will see what she says...she had me on a tonic last time to improve my chances of conception (but that was before I even knew I was pg). Thanks again for your input - I will certainly keep the vitex in mind. I hope you are hanging in there Satya. And hope the vitex brings you a BFP next month Mumstar. Regards,

kaib - the reason I went on Vitex was for pms - mood swings in particular. My mum bought them for me as my then partner mentioned to her that I was suffering from them. I didn't find any change in cycle at all but my mood swings got a lot better. I only realised that people take it when TTCing after I had just found out I was pregnant after trying for 9 months but had only been on them for about 6 to maybe 8 weeks and I was 5 weeks pregnant when I tested positive.

My AF arrived this morning so I guess that's what the odd BM bleeding was all about. That give me a 24 day cycle this time with a 7 day LP. I expected a longer cycle due to all the stress I've been under but instead a get a short one. I'm thinking maybe I might be heading towards menopause. Short LP can be a sign of that.
