I was hoping to ask your opinion of something? We will soon be beginning to TTC our rainbow, after losing our precious Poppy who was born sleeping in December. We know already we have a 50% chance of any other children we conceive having the same heart condition as Poppy, so the pg will be VERY high risk.

My question is regarding care for our next pg. Did you go through a private OB? Or did any of you go through a Maternal Fetal Medicine/Perinatal Unit and if so how do you get referred to one? We had bi-weekly scans in the last 6 weeks of my pg with Poppy at the Perinatal unit at Mercy Heidleberg, but it was sort of shared care with my OB. He has already said he won't see me next time since he doesn't know enough about the heart condition.

I would just like to control all the things I can control, since I know full well I can't control the outcome, but I can at least be prepared as best I can.
