Bella - glad to hear you're finishing up work. One of my boys is really low too - head right right right down, and I have been getting all sorts of aches, cramps, pains, soreness after walking or standing for even short periods of time - and then these contractions started! So you're def doing the right thing.
Have fun setting up the nursery(but don't lift anything!!!)
Jen
ooooh Jenc did you know you were having contractions? Im glad you decided to call your OB. Its good you can play on the internet so you don't get to bored, Im not sure how short my cervix is all I know is its funneling. I am having another scan tomorrow I would proberly know a little bit more then. I am finding it really hard to bed rest as I see my DH doing all the house work and going to work as well as looking after DD he is such a great hubby. I hope you relax and put your feet up if you do the I will.
Bella YAH for finishing work early you must be so relieved I can imagine how physical it would be being a nurse. Don't join us on bed rest its not fun. Now you can set up your nursery it will feel more real don't over do it look after yourself.
Well guess hows in hospital yep me Ill be in here till Monday week arrrrrh they are abit worried about my cervix Ithink they said it measured 1.6 which is really short. But the good news is they are ruling out TTTTS for now as babies are doing great just 1 is smaller then the other which they say can happen. I will be popping in all the time for something to do so please make sure you guys up date all the time.
Oh goodness -both of you in hospital - i really feel for you both. Your also both making me very nervous that i will end up the same!
Well i finished up work alll together - i didn't even work my last 4 shifts! So i'm officially a lady of lesuire - well not quite but you know what i mean!
I picked up our nursery stuff off layby!! Lat night DH and i put togetehr a change table and managed 1 cot before midnight by which time i was dying and DH was way to frustrated to continue - bloody flat packed furniture!!
It's starting to feel real - i have been having these crazy thoughts that i might jinx myself if i set up to much.
Otherwise feeling like a weight has lifted off my shoulders no longer having to work - just going to concentrate on us.
Take care girls and keep me posted - and give those babies a stern talking to from me!. I have my next appt and scan friday - can't wait.
xxBella
oh azz - pls pls take care. that is quite a short measurement. are they giving you steroid injections? I've also been reading that some drs are treating cervix shortening with progesterone. Has your dr recommended that?
Bella - good news on finishing up. Pls also make sure you take as much opportunity as you can to rest. And that means feet up. No downwards pressure!
I've been home for a day now, and even though I have been really really good and feel like I've barely got up, people have come over, I've had to go up and down the stairs, just little things - and I'm feeling very crampy and having lots of tightenings. It doesn't take much.
Well, love to both of you. Look after yourselves!!!!!
Jenx
Morning Ladies,
Bella how exciting you have your nursery but do little bits at a time spread it out if you can let your DH do it and you can order him aroundim sure he would love that. Im not surprised your DH is losing it with flat packed boxes. Great news you have finished work
arrrrrh now relax. Keep us posted about scan well mainly me coz im bored out of my brains
Jenc yes they are giving me both the injection bloody hurts but I used the progesterone when I did IVF. Im finding it hard to get to sleep I guess its just being away from DD and DH. I to have stairs at home it does make it harder walking up and down make sure you rest up I wouldnt want to here you are back in hospital.
You lovely ladies rest up I know I will be doing exactly that![]()
Hey Azz, how are you going today? Hope you're managing to stay sane. You know, I never thought I'd say this (and I'm sure it must be diff for you because of your little one at home) but I think it was easier to rest in hosp. Yes, it was lonely and boring. But there are so many distractions at home! Everywhere I look I see something that I think needs doing. I'm going insane!!
So far, I've managed to organise my beautiful mum and sister to come and clean once or twice a week, my lovely MIL to bring food around, I've done a HUGE online grocery shop, I've painted my nails, made a body scrub for long baths, written list after list of things to do from bed, and all that took about 30 mins...... grrrrr.
I HATE doing nothing. I bet one day I'll look back at that and think "who on earth was I back then, crazy woman, what I wouldn't give for a minute to myself to do nothing"!!!!
Hey bella - hope you're well too.
Jenx
Hi girls,
Hope you are all going ok and congrats on your twin pg.
My boys just turned 4 last month
All the best
genc your right I think I am better off in hospital I know that I will be up all the time checking on my DD. Everytime she comes to visit I always want to lift her up or change her nappy so I can imagine what I will be like if I was at home. I asked one of the nurses if I get my DH to push me in a wheel chair can I go to hudsons coffee shop downstairs she said that is fine so at least I can get out of my room. I told my DH if he wanted to catch up with friends while my mum is here just so he can have a break himself but he said he would rather stay with DD isn't he sweet.
I to have a made to do list most of it is phone calls to re arrange my DD swimming need to organise a couple of things for the twins as all I have for them is 2 capsules and a couple of clothes I might check out Ebay today oooh that could be dangerous
Its great that you family are coming to clean and cook for you at least you don't have to worry about that good idea about doing online grocery shopping. Not to bored yet but im sure by Tuesday it could be different story
Hi Bella how is the lady of leasure hope your nursery is coming along nicely and your not doing to much.
Hi Lovely ladies,
Well i think i did to much the last couple of days so by yesterday i was exhausted - slept til 1200 then spent the afternoon on the couch watching trashing girly movies! So i am taking it easy from now i promise! The nursery is coming along - it's making it feel very real. I have been feeling the babies moving usually only in the evening and it's not definate kicks i can just feel something - hopefully will be feeling more in no time.
So Azza have they said anything about the weights of your 2? i have been saying little prayers for you both that all 4 babies stay put at least a little longer!
Anyway better go i have missed Dr Phil but think i'm still in time for oprah
Will BBL to check up on you both.
xxBella

Bella my glad you had sleepin and relaxed today now know more getting exhausted OK it my last warningno they didn't tell me about the weights, thats a good quetion they did a growth scan on friday to but I guess they were more worried about the cervix that everything else was forgotten. I watched a bit of oprah today did you see the story on the Identical girls, not sure what it was about just saw to irls dressed the same. Just wondering did you end up getting 2 cots for the nursery or are you going to put them in the same cot for awhile?
Thanks Lemaar how is it going with your boys. What week were you when you had the boys did you make it to 38 wks?
I escaped from my room today and got to go downstairs for hot choc my DH hadto push me down in a wheel chair it was nice and refreshing. My tummy has been getting really tight today but the bubs heart beats are good so they aren't worried I think maybe its cause Im sitting down all the time I feel like going for a big walk cause my butt is starting to go numbbut I know its a no no.
just sending hugs for all you twin mummys your all doing a great job![]()
Hi Azzrenae,
My boys are great and well lets just say I am very busy keeping my eye on both of them..lol I was 34w5days and had a c-section due to the blood flow in one of the cords was slowing. My boys were in special care for 5 days and on the 6th day they were in the room with me for the night and then we went home.
I am wishing you all the very best
Good morning all....
Azza - glad to hear you got to leave your room! You must be going a little crazy! Hope your cervix is being kind and staying closed.
Jen - hope your playing by the rules and staying put. Hope you havn't had any more twinges and your not going to crazy.
AFM - have been staying in bed til really late morning i kinda feel a bit guilty but then i think of you guys and i'm just trying to be sensible! Still only feeling intermittent movements will be glad when it's more definate. Scan on Friday which i'm looking forward to. Our nursery is coming along - we bought 2 cots but i may co-sleep them in 1 to begin with but i really want them in there own beds early on to start getting routine? What are you ladies planning? I have some twin classes at the hosp starting begining of nest month so may find out some tips there.
Take care all
xxBella
Hi Bella don't feel guilty about lying in its good to hear you are relaxing. I am thinking about co sleeping them first for the first couple of months then I will put them in their own cots. I think the twin classes are a great idea I was going to do them but I have to wait and see what my cervix is up to on monday before we make any plans. What does your movements feel like? if it feels like a little twinge or bubble feeling then that is proberly them saying hello. I think I felt my first real movements at about 16 wks. I hope it happens for you soon as its an amazing feeling. Hope your scan goes well on Friday let us know how they are going.
Hi Jenc how you going?
Thanks smithy hope your ms is getting better?
Leemar thats great 34wks I hope I can make it to 32ks fingers crossed.
AFM Im doing well not much happening with me the boys heart beats are nice and strong which is the main thing I can't for my scan on Monday just to see how things are going and hopefully I can go home? Im starting to get a bit bored now I had heaps of visitors today which was nice but I wish they spaced it out of the week so I have a visitor every day.
Please take of yourselves relax relax relax
Just wanted to pop in quickly and send my best wishes to all you preggie mummies and your beautiful babies. Take care all and rest as much as you can, even though it sucks.
