I just had my friends daughters christening and I got her 4 beautiful outfits from Target and put them in 4 gorgeous gift boxes I bought from the $2.00+ store, wrapped in tissue paper & stacked on top of each other tied together with a big silk ribbon. I did the same for her son, except I bought 4 boys outfits My friend told me she didn't want any picture frames, or anything made of silver that she had to polish,

I'm a bit traditional. I believe that the gifts given at a baptism should have religion basis to them. You can get gorgeous books, prayer cards and short stories from the bible. Best of luck picking your pressie and enjoy your day.

    For my girls we got:

Candles (with a picture of them, their full name, Baptism date and a prayer)
Photo frames with their names engraved on them
    Ornamental items
    Money
Royal Dalton (is that right?) cutlery and crockery (plates, bowls, cups and egg holder)
Books (Peter Rabbit as well as fairy tales)
    Clothes

Oh wow, thanks everyone for the fantastic ideas. I love books too so might go with this option and Nurse Dan thanks for the idea of a short story from the bible. Will see how I go.

Prettybutterfly - gorgeous boxes tied with ribbon always looks amazing and special. I don't even need anything in them I love the look so much

CourtRach - a baby bible sounds like a great idea.

    Thanks again
