What was your fave thing of the day?

Being able to share this most special day with my mum before she died.

What would you have changed if anything?

I would have changed the venue...hard to find the perfect place in 5 weeks! lol The venue was gorgeous, the food was so very disappointing.

Where did you get married? church? garden? registry office? eloped?

In the rotunda in the centre of the rose garden in the StKilda Botanical Gardens. The roses were in full bloom and it was a gorgeous sunny Melbourne day.

Did you have a wishing well or gift registry? or presents?

Because the wedding was in Melbourne, and we live in Perth, we asked for people to give us gift vouchers to use for the house we have just built, if they wanted to give us a present. We did get some small presents also.

How many bridesmaids did you have? what dresses did they wear?

I had 3 - my 2 best friends and my sister. They wore stunning strapless two-tone black knee length dresses, with a 1950s A-line skirt. They were the dresses we found 3 days before the wedding, after the dresses I had custom made were a disaster (a VERY expensive disater!!) They were exactly what I wanted in the first places, and managed to get them on sale from Myer - the last 3 dresses in the store, in the 3 different sizes we needed - it was meant to be! lol

What were your table centre pieces?

Tight wrapped bunches of purple tulips, in a clear glass fishbowl.

Did you have a bonbonierrie? if so what was it?

No.

What did you invites look like? did you make them or get them made?

We had them made at First Post in Bentleigh - they were gorgeous! Werent too expensive either so I was happy The were a simple foldover design, on perlescent cream card with a deep dark green paper, black print, and an image of a single opening rose bud on the outer.

Did you have a real or fake boquet? what flowers were they?

Real. I had a tight wrap dome of cream and deep purple tulips, surrounded by green leaves. The bridesmaids had the same dome bouquets, in cream tulips.

Anything else you would like to add feel free or even add photos

Our wedding was not the dream day I had imagined it would be - the circumstances under which we had to organise and prepare for the day were far from happy and the time constraints we had to organise a wedding, in melbourne, in spring, with the demands we had to meet was stressful, to say the least!

But it was how it had to be, and we had a beautiful and very special day and I am so so happy we had the opportunity to share it with our families, friends and our daughter.
