I agree!

I joined to earn some extra money to save me from going back to work full time! The money is good, but comission is 20% of sales, and if you want to buy the product (as you often do to keep up to date with stock specials and sales) the price is 32% discount. Then literature and party gifts have to be purchased. Thats where the other 12% comes into it. So really, your comission is 32% but 12% is for literature etc. I found once I joined I was set up for the first 6 parties (the idea is to have your kit paid off in 6 parties, then you start earning. Until your kit is paid off, your commission pays your kit off)

I am currently having a slump in sales and parties and recently had 2 hosts (sisters actually) stress me right out - to the point that dh has said "NO MORE!" to being a demonstrator. The 2nd host's order isn't complete (something is on backorder) and didn't want a 2wk delivery but a 3wk one, and now that that one order is on backorder, I'm to wait til then to deliver it all. So in the meantime I have a $700 party order cluttering my office and my Tupperware account overdue (I'm collecting the money at delivery - whoever hasn't paid by then doesn't get their order til they pay - standard tupperware practice). AND you will get those hosts that want to rip you off (like this host I'm talking about). She wanted a thank you gift that was on special during Birthday week for 50% off (a one week only special). The same item was available thru the rest of the month at 15% off, but she wanted the one for 50% off. I explained to her that that wasnt the way it worked, and she was quite rude and stubborn. I said I'd speak to my manager and get back to her on Monday. Turns out I had forgot to give her host credits and the hosts credits worked out to be the difference between the 15% and 50% anyway.

It's not always easy, specially in a dating slump, but the rewards are definately worth it!
