Oh my god how cute is Daphne!!!

Sorry, I meant Farex....we are sticking to just that at the moment as Benjamin seems happy with it.
Next step will be sweet potato (as I've been told that normal potato can be a little too starchy and can upset their digestion sometimes, and with BJs gut getting a workout from the zantac and gaviscon etc early on, we'll avoid any undue stress in that regard!!).

Will hold off on fruits etc for a while just so make sure he gets the taste for vegies first!

As for the olive branches...DH has given up....he's sick of it all!

Fair enough I say BW sometimes you just can't get through to people can you. I'd say sweet potato is a good option to start with being that it was in Fire's list of least allergenic.
Clueless not sure about how it gets through - think it is just thickening as opposed to solid when they do it that way, making it more like a thickmilkshake kind of deal as opposed to being like softserve - (bad analogy - but hopefully you understand). BTW I still think Fire is right babies don't know when they are supposed to do things, if Daphne is ready for solids go for it.
Zennie so he's not a big boy, just regular size.

We went out for a bit and DD was great the whole time, but hte minute we got back home - whingy What am I going to do? Might have to make a trip to Macca's and get DS a happy meal just to go out again.

As for things going through teats etc...I don't actually give Bj anything other than his formula through a teat.
He eats his farex off a spoon.

You can buy teats with bigger holes, or the ones like Sharon uses for Olivers thickened formula which have a cross on them...but you don't need a bottle for farex etc...just a spoon.

Well that outing didn't work - she screamed the whole time I was stuck in th edrive thru and DS was saying I want Panda toy repeatedly, but they have finished the Kung Fu Panda Promo now - so I had tears over that. I'm ready to tear all my hair out. Getting nothing done can't think with all this screaming and crying - she seems refluxy. Can't sit for too long or she'll really start again - so off to run around the loungeroom with her.

Grubi - to you - that sounds really frustrating. I am honestly in awe of those of you with more than one child - you are fabulous people and I you!

In regard to the MIL thing - I'm soooo lucky. My MIL is great (a complete dag, but great!). I actually invited her to the birth, but the hospital I was sent to would only allow 2 birth partners in at a time, so she volunteered to wait out in the 'family room' so that DH & SIL could be there. She's never made me feel bad for it (even though I am sorry she couldn't be there) and was thrilled to just be able to meet him 10 mins after he was born. She's always baking up stuff for us (muffins, sausage rolls, etc) so we've got more time to spend with DS and she visits regularly (and is always offering to babysit). It's her 7th grandchild - but the first to 'her little boy' - my DH. I see more of DH's family than mine, but that's because they're in the same town. I am finding it very interesting which of my friends have visited or kept in touch actually. Not at all what I would have expected prior to the birth... At least I know who my real friends are now!

I'm looking forward to giving Liam farex as I think he'll enjoy it, but need to wait until I see the specialists at the cleft clinic in early Sept so they can 'teach' me how to feed them to him. If I just try doing it like you all do - it apparently just comes out his nose! That would be so cruel!!

    **Double Post from other thread**

Liam's in a 'pattern change' - last night he fed at 6pm, fussed around until 8pm when he went to sleep (all of a sudden), we put him in his cot and he didn't wake until 4am!! DH went & checked on him a few times to make sure he was ok!! Then he had a feed, went back to sleep and woke at 8am happy as anything - talking & playing in his cot for 1/2 hour before he was ready for another feed. Through the day he was still on 2.5 - 3 hrly feeds, but he's had a feed at 7.30 pm tonight and we'll see how long he sleeps for... He's also been sleeping a lot which makes me think he's in (or getting ready for) a growth spurt.

Went out for a cuppa today with my manager (and friend) and we talked for about 2 hours... personal stuff (with a touch of work stuff!) - was lovely to catch up with her and I'll be going in to meet with her at work in the next few weeks to plan my 'comeback' in mid-September.

Also returned my breast pump this arvo I can still manually pump if I want to, but I haven't pumped for 3 days now (except to let some pressure out in the shower - a few squirts, that's all). I'm satisfied with what I've done though.

Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can go out for longer walks. The cold is really messing up my plans! I'll be starting a diet next week however to try to shift some of this excess weight before my return to work - worried I won't fit in my work shirts!!

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing my sister & niece tomorrow. It's my Mum's birthday tomorrow and we usually try to get together for it (my Mum died in 1999) to 'celebrate'.

Ok, so quick question... before I head off to bed.

I got my first AF last month, and I normally go back to normal every month. But this month, and over due 5 days. Had anyone else AF been late when they came back? We have been having s*x again, thank god I so missed it, and the closeness. But am on BF pill... I can't be pregnant yet could I?

I want 4 kids but I want to enjoy Wyatt for aleast a year before we start trying again. Not that DH wants anymore kids, Wyatt was it for him, but not for me.

Please tell me this can be normal...

Talk to you all tomorrow morning

    Cheers
    Sarah

Clueless don't really think the Farex will make that much difference to sleeping through, what works for some babies, doesn't work for others. My BF was on Farex at 3 weeks of age, she was in an orphanage and because the didn't have time to bottle feed all the babies they all got fed farex pretty much straight away, if you think she is ready I say give it a try.
sarah don't worry, won't be long and bubs will have hair, I think there are a few baldies in here so you aren't alone. I think it can take a while for your hormones to get back on track, but if you are taking the mini pill you probably should be on time, I would go to Dr and check anyway.
Zennie what is your feeding routine, and how many bottles/how much formula is he having as well as the solids?
BabyWrangler i'm the same as you and I am going to hold off on the fruits for a while too.
Nettie enjoy your mum's birthday 'celebration' what a great thing to do. I am also hanging out for the warmer weather, i'm not a morning person at the best of times, but i'm even worse when it's freezing cold.

Had a fairly quiet few days, pretty boring really, nothing going on around here really. My ebay stuff finished tonight and I made $387, I am stoked! there was only 1 pair of pants that didn't sell, and they will be going to charity now.
