Af has arrived with avengance!!! i am feeling so tired and drained today its been 16 months since last AF bleed and its taking its tole on my body. my scar hurts my body aches ect and doc has prescribed mini pill to start today. Hello weight gain. i hate contraceptives going to have to have more sex to counteract the excess fat im going to put on.. poor me!!!!

alittlegrubi nice little ebay profit you had there, I have spent about 1/2 my ebay earnings getting Jordans birthday/xmas presents (some of them) he really wanted Mario Kart for Wii and Mario & Sonic at the olympics so have got him those, the Mario Kart came with a steering wheel, so I bought another steering wheel for $20 so there wouldn't be any fights. I have to say that the days when I get stuff done I do feel so much better, but it is the motivation that I am lacking. My DH and I are like that, he can do what he wants and so can I, we both have other hobbies/interests that are separate from each other, so as long as we 'book in' if we are going out so that the other one knows not to make plans, it's all good.
sarah they are some great photography tips, i've always been one for getting down on the ground, I took some more of Jordan and Oliver yesterday and will have to upload them later today.
Zennie you poor thing, when I had my first AF the other week it was hell, I refuse to go on the pill though because I hate the weight gain, and DH won't get the snip, so we have to be careful, we have used the 'withdrawal' (sorry if TMI) method for years, and have never had any 'scares' and especially now that I know when I ovulate because of the charting I did. I have heard that there is a new IUD out, but can't remember what it's called, have been considering having that.
Had a horrible morning today, Jordan was being a PITA, and when we got to school (25 min drive) he realised he had left his cap at home and didn't want to wear his normal wide brim school hat today since it was sport day, he wanted me to drive all the way home and get it, I had to pry his hands off of holding onto the back of the drivers seat, and drag him out of the car, he then wouldn't line up and was just being a real brat, and because of my depression I started to cry with all the other mums standing there, Jordan then asked why I was crying, and when I told him it was because he wasn't doing as I asked him and that was making me upset, he started crying, I managed to settle him down and told him that if he does what I ask I won't be upset anymore, which worked and he ended up going in to class happy. There was one little boy that was just standing there staring at my while I was crying and I snapped at him by saying "can you go away please" which he did. One of the mums came and took Oliver for me while I sorted Jordan out which was nice and then gave me a bit of a hug.
Taking Oliver to the community nurse today to get him weighed, I really don't think he has put much weight on in 2 weeks though, think we will be lucky for it to be a 100g

Have just got back from community nurse, and Oliver weighs 6.85kg which is a gain of 200g, he is 63cm so has grown 1cm, and his HC is 41 which is an increase of .5cm and that was in 2 weeks, so he may be fussing with his feeds, but he is still growing which is good. Have also been advised to take him to gp to get some suggestions on what to do with his formula as the nurse said it does sound like he is lactose intolerant because of his 'explosive, frothy poos' and also because he 'farts' a lot too, so the Dr may want a poo sample to send off to check.

Zennie I've been getting lower back pain on and off and have had days when my scar area is tender - never evn thought that it could be about AF. Not looking forward to it especially now that you've mentioned scar pain. We are like you Sharon take the risk but haven't had any need to do HPTs other than the two times we have planned to have children. DH would say we don't do it often enough for anything to happen :lol:. In fact it wasn't until 1 week before 3 months after Greer was born that we DTD and yes it was great, want to do it again soon, if only I weren't tired all the time.
:hug:Sharon:hug: I know exactly what you mean about getting upset because the DS isn't doing what you ask. I wish all I did was cry when it happens to me, instead I yell and feel really bad afterwards. I took explain if you did what Mummy asks you to she wouldn't growl at you. My DS is just short of 3, so he gets away with his cuteness most of the time and the moments end with "Mummy you not growl me evergen OK!" I'm glad that I only have the odd day where the tears flow, but can understand where you are at as I had that when DS was 16 months old - more from work stress than PND - but the slightest thing would set me off. Monday was like that for me this week.
We had a bad night last night, I think Greer was having trouble breathing through her nose, she woke so often, that I didn't even wake up to DH making his lunch in the morining which I ususally do.
Must go and clean the house today as yesterday was a write off with the dentist appointment.
Grubi We are exactly the same, we NEVER seem to go to bed at the same time and once either of us are asleep god help the other person if they try to wake us up :lol: we've managed to sneak a couple of 'morning glories' in since Oliver was born and that's all :cryinglaugh::
I have to try and do some housework today too, have my uncle and aunt coming down tomorrow and my house looks like a tornado has gone through, at least Oliver is being a good boy at the moment, he woke briefly from his sleep but I put his dummy back in and he has gone back off to sleep which will mean he will be there for at least 1.5 hours :dance:

Just a quick stop by to see how we all are going and to see how those who had c sections are coping? I am okay, my doc thinks I have an absces now the pain comes and goes and theres something that keeps swelling up on the inside all the time above my scar. Does anyone know anything of these after c sect's how they happen and how they get rid of them? I am full on freaking cause I still dont want anyone anywhere near my tummy!
Bet we have loads of laughing babies and busy bodies now! :D
everyone thinks ryley is 6-8 months old from how big he is! unbeleivable! he was a rediculous 10 lbs 13 oz when born but he is sooooo long now people honestly dont beleive me when I tell them he's only just over 3 months! lol oh well.

Danielle Welcome back. :hug: for the c-sect issues. I have pretty well recovered from my c-section. There doesn't seem to be the same level of feeling in my tummy - could just be the stretchmarks :lol: but it feels different in some spots. I can sense strong scar-tissue on one side where it used to burn. I have had days of pain in the last week and get a crampingstretched muscle kind of pain in my right hip. It's all turned me right off the thought of ever having a third child.
Sharon I'd love to get an hour and a half sleep out of Greer, I'm lucky to get 20-30 minutes at a time. I'm about to put her down now, lets see how long htis one lasts, I only got 20 minutes last time.
And 24 minutes this time :wall:
grubbi: thanks! Yeah Im not too bad just pain comes and goes in my belly going for an ultrasound tuesday to check for an absces sounds so gross! I would love more kids but hubby dont want no more now so guess we're done.
Sharon: I agree wif grubbi, my little guy doesnt sleep for an hour and half! he sleeps 20-30 mins at a time hes been asleep for longer than that now so fingers crossed.\
For all of you who had big bubbas... are they feeding frquently? Ryley changed when I took him off the booby and onto formula he was actually full for a change and didnt feed every 30 mins hehe little bugger. But now.... hes waking every 3 hrs round the clock... he was sleeping through! I think its toothy pain combined with little holes in his tummy. So we have started giving him the weeniest ammount of farex really milked down with his milk, he loves it doesnt bother his tummy (must be cause its so weak) but he always wants more so I have to fill the rest of him up with milk.
Are our babies getting cranky yet? maybe hardish gums? my 1st started teething between 3-4 months hehe the joys I think I get more upset cause I cant fix it for him! poor little things.

Sharon: Oh dear, I have had moments like you and Grubi which have brought me to tears, and DS#1 standing their asking why mummy crying. I know if I were there I would have handle Jordan and told him to get him line for you. ATM if a stanger tells Landon (DS#1) to do something he will. But if mummy ask's he just doesnt listen. It's good to hear that at least one mum wasn't complete useless and came to help you...
Grubi: Gee, I'm glad I don't have your denits bill. I hate owning people money. I would just rater pay them. Never went into debt until I meet DH and he only in it until his crop money comes in and then hes out and in front. It just really freaks me out paying/owing larges amounts of money, just incase something happens and get bad crop we have to flip the bill.
Zennie: I remember my fir st AF last month. I thought DH was going to have to take me to hospital, as I thought I was going to DIE. I never get pains when I get mine. Speaking of which it is still MIA... Please come back where ever you are AF...
Danielle: Wyatt was a biggen, and he doesn't feed every 30 mintues. When he wakes up he get his boobie, them when he goes back down for nap. He is sleeping much better in his cot during the day now. Am getting 3 solid 1-2hr naps which is great. I plan to clean house and get shower during morning nap. Second nap, me and Landon play together (playdo, cooking, painting, sandpit or bubbles) Third nap, is my time to check my ebay and here. Oh, and catch up on my Hollywood gossip of net. I know I don't have a life...
Well went to community house today landon only little boy in child care there, but he had fun. Me I almost fell asleep in training session. Get this is was about how to deal with diffuluct children and their behaviors. Its called 1-2-3 Magic, same principles as counting and giving them the warning, but will alot less talk. Seem to be working on Landon. We cover tamturasm in public, car and while U on phone. Will see how it goes. I got DVD of teacher to show DH so we can be consitant together.
Well it's raining here today, so am bit cold. I better get going and put some more wood on the fire, to get it going.
Sarah I just wish a dentist had told me about what I was doing to my teeth 10 years ago so I could have just gotten a mouth guard for nights instead of having this bill that needs to be paid upfront in total. I could handle it if it were in smaller installments a lot easier. It's like $2 here and there you don't notice until you add it all up.
Just got letter from bank saying interest rate has gone up again an kindly part with another $21.60 per month please. That makes ot even harder to deal with as we had to add the $44000 to the mortgage to be able to afford to pay it, wasn't going to do it on a 5 year loan the dentist gave me paperwork for, interest rate was ridiculous.
GTG DS is home and wants a mookshik - milkshake. might have one myself - :D
I'm enjoying all the rambling! I don't have much to say at the moment as things are just cruising along for us. We've started settling Liam in a dim room at the end of the day for his night sleep. Hopefully this will make him sleep better.
Now all we need is for him to go longer between feeds in the day. Sometimes it's as little as 1.5 hrs - but usually more like 2-2.5 and sometimes a huge 3 hrs!! At least he's a bit longer at night (usually a 6 hr stint - then a 4 hour one).
Liam's an early riser too - usually ready to play around 6 am... I am NOT a morning person, so this doesn't really suit me!
I'm longing for some warmer weather... it's hard to get the clothes/nappies dry at the moment and I'm really scared to see my next power bill :eek:
Nettie Totally understand the power bill comment. I never use the dryer for the kids clothing as the heat sets the stains and I am fanatical about stains on clothing, to the point DS now takes his clothes off the minute he spills anything on them :doh:. We are trying not to use too much power due to the state's energy crisis, so no using the dryer here. By the end of the week when everything is still wet I get to a stage of what can I wear especially if Greer has done a chuck on me and I've gone through all my BF tops and have to resort to normal ones - cold back while feeding - brrrrr!
I can handle it as long as Greer wakes after 5.30am, I don't handle the 4am wake to plays, they kill me. She has been fussy feeding for the last two days, thought it was breathing last night, but today, not sure what it is... think I might have to bite the bullet and visit the doctor next week if she doesn't improve over the weekend. Hate going to the doctor paying $58 for them to say it's viral and will pass in a week... blah blah or make you spend a further $20plus on antibiotics that do nothing but upset the baby's tummy.
DanielleDuring the day Greer is much like Liam in terms of feeds between every 1.5 to 3 hours during the day and usually 5 hours for the first night time feed then 3-4 hourly after that.
Sarah Very envious of Wyatt's daytime naps and your routine during that time.
Was talking with the dental nurse yesterday and you know I think she is right we are over educated these days - our mothers never had the problems we're having, most likely because they weren't given all this education in what SHOULD happen or how we SHOULD deal with difficult babies and children.
Okay enough of my rambling for today. Going to bed with DS tonight as we had a very broken sleep last night with all the waking and sleep grizzling.

I don't blame you guys for hating the early morning rising...Im lucky our pretty much set in stone (for now at least) routine is:
7-7:45 am wake
8am offer bottle (often refused)
8:05am play on floor
8:30 cereal
8:45-9:15 (somewhere in there!) rest of bottle
9-9:30 sleep
10am Dummy return
11:30am wake
11:30 til 12-12:30pm play
12:30ish bottle (usually 100ml)
12:45-1:30 play
1:30-2pm rest of bottle in nursery
2-2:30pm sleep
5-5:30pm(somewhere in there) wake
Bottle offered on waking
Play until grumpy, then cereal
Bath straight after cereal
Play with daddy til grumpy (usually between 6:45 and 7:15)
Into nursery for rest of bottle, then off to sleep
He's usually asleep by 7:30...7:45 at the latest. Usually will sleep through til between 1:15 and 2am, bottle, then straight back to bed. (often will wake at 6am but thats a dummy return)
Most of his feeds happen in 2 stints (probably not a good thing but seems to work for us and means he actually eats a decent amount....he usually has about 100ml when first offered, and then will have another 70-100ml before I put him into bed.
He always goes to bed awake..if quiet, he doesn't have his dummy, if he gets grizzly we give him 30seconds to a couple of minutes (depending on the urgency of the noise) to see if he self settles, if not we then give him his dummy
Usually if we need to go out (if its a long drive) we leave at 9am so he gets his normal sleep in the car, if its just shopping etc, we go between the 2 sleeps)
During his morning sleep, I have my shower, then clean, sterilise and make the bottles for the day, put a load of washing on, then do the bathrooms or vacuuming etc.
During his arvo sleep, I prepare dinner as much as I can, hang the washing, (and fold the washing from the day before) read the forums, play on ebay, and hit the ironing.
So thats our day in a nutshell...seems to be working out pretty well for us!!
Will pop back later for personals, I'm off to do the bottles and make some broccoli soup!

Hi Nettie....have found this site you suggested....looks pretty good. So as i said earlier my little man was born on the 19 April & is now on some sort of routine....adjusting to it nicely although the nights are still up in the air, he has his dream feed around 10pm then wakes again around 3thirty- 4am then is stirring from 6thirty onwards. So hopefully soon enough he will surely sleep through.....!

Danielle welcome back, sorry to hear you have been unwell, but hope you get better soon. People don't believe me when I tell them Oliver is only 3.5 months, how long is Ryley? Oliver is 63cm as of Friday. Oliver is a really fussy feeder, some days he is a real piggy, but other days he hardly has much at all, he will have a bottle at 6.30am, 10am, 2pm, 5.30pm and then around 9.30-10.00pm for his sneaky feed and only has around 600ml - 700ml per day.
alittlegrubi yes your link worked, I had a go at some of Sarah's tips too yesterday, got some nice ones of Oliver on his tummy.
sarah it's good that you got the DVD on how to deal with tantrums for you DH to watch, discipline works much better when both parents follow the same 'rules'.
Nettie i'm NOT a morning person either, especially in the winter, I would much prefer to be snuggled up in my nice warm bed.
BabyWrangler that is great that you have a really decent routine happening, and if you are happy for him to have his bottles in 2 shifts that's great, at least you know he is getting plenty of 'food'. I try and do housework while Oliver is awake too, so that way he gets used to mummy going from room to room and not always be sitting on the floor playing with him, if he gets grizzly I try moving him to the room that I am cleaning so that he can see me.
Zennie I am pretty sure that the only time you aren't supposed to use tampons is in that first 6 weeks following birth, so you should be good to go :D
mum to Jack welcome to our little group, we are a friendly bunch, just jump on in and post away, some of us just ramble (i'm one of them :lol:) especially when we don't have much else to say.
Had a good day today, my uncle and aunt came down from the coast to visit, and they have just recently got back from vising relatives in England, they bought Oliver this gorgeous football (soccer to you aussies) outfit, a matching cap, and my aunt from england sent over some little football shoes, don't think he will fit into the shoes for long as they are for 3-6 months, and his outfit is for summer and is 6-12 months. I will try and get a pic of him in all his gear anyway over the next few days when the air con is on nice and toastie warm.

Oh, forgot to have my brag, last Tuesday Jordan had to read a poem (one from a book, not one that he wrote) to his class, he was really nervous, and didn't really want to do it, anyway, they all got a merit certificate, and 3 of them got picked to read their poem to the principal and a couple of other 'guests' and Jordan was one of them, the only thing he has to do now is memorise the poem instead of reading it from a piece of paper, I know he will get really nervous and probably forget the words, but that doesn't matter, it will be BIG confidence booster for him and I am so proud

hi all, I am still around, have just been too busy with work and Luke to drop in. I have him on my lap at the moment so eally not able to do too much bar read and type a quick message. He is doing really well, still sleeping from 7-8pm until 6-7am - it really is awesome. He doesn't sleep much during the day anymore though - only catnaps, hence my inabilityto get online!
work and BF'ing is going well, only drama is that my SIL over feeds him, but he doesn't seem to mind! my big boy is now 8.66kg and growing.
Ok, Luke is losing it, so will have to do this later!
Hi shell, MOJ, Sharon, Sarah, Nettie, BW, Zennie - no time for personals.
I think I am slowly but surely losing the plot. Tired nearly all of the time I just don't get the chance to sleep and get really p!ssed at DH when he continues to sleep in the mornings or has a nap whe DS does. :angry: I know he isn't get 8 hours but at least he gets 5-6 hours in a row. All the little things are getting to me - I know it is just the sleep deprivation.
The coming week is just going to get worse too.
Monday - try to get in cleaning up house for 3rd birthday party on the weekend
Tuesday - Looking after 4 kids - what was I thinking when I agreed to that? :doh:
Wednesday - shopping and mothers group - always a rush.
Thursday - more preparation for Sunday and the usual household chores
Friday - Getting birthday presents etc sorted out - (6 birthdays in next 2 weeks)
Saturday - last minute stuff for parties, visit the Inlaws
Sunday - morning B'day party, afternoon BBQ with friends
Monday - recover and start preparations for Tuesday night.
Tuesday - cooking and cleaning - having family over for dinner for DS's actual birthday.
I'm tired just thinking about it.
Despite not catching up on sleep - like I should have, but thought the sleep would only be her usual 20-30 minutes so didn't bother trying, I have gained some sanity this afternoon. Greer has been asleep with one feed in the middle for 4 hours. DH took DS to Nana for a couple of hours and he still isn't back. I've cleaned the front half of the house - 6 rooms. Still have 5 to go, but at least the pressure is off for during the week. Not having DS around and not having Greer crying has meant that I haven't been grumpy and losing the plot. :dance: Happy to know it's just me stressing about the birthday party as opposed to the beginnings of PND after Monday's melt down and the way I'd been all week I was seriously thinking I might have to follow in Sharon's footsteps and go see someone about it.
Off to cook dinner now. Ramble some more later.
Hope everyone is doing well and just too busy to type.

alittlegrubi :hug: If that was me, I would be freaking out BIG TIME! there is no way on this earth that I would be able to get that much done in a week. As for DH sleeping in, mine does too, and I do get very jealous and on the weekends I hope and pray for Oliver to have a BIG sleep after he has had his 1st bottle and play for the day, and maybe 1 morning out of 2 weekends I will be lucky and get a bit of a sleep in. No probs about the link, I love looking at other peoples photos.
Had a nice day out in the city today, went to city extra for lunch, went for a wander around the Opera house (just outside) then took Jordan to the Police museum, which he loved, but he is still insisting that he wants to be a fireman when he grows up. We then had some baskin robbins ice cream, went for a drive to sydney airport watch some aeroplanes taking off (Jordan insists every time we are in town) then a quick drive down the road for a coffee and doughnut at Krispy Kreme, Oliver didn't have much sleep so was really cranky by the time we got home.

alittlegrubi I don't have everyone's numbers any more, I deleted them once everyone was paired up.
I think Oliver may have an ear infection, he has been really grizzly all day, he kept waking up last night every hour from 1am, he was then up at 5.10am, he keeps rubbing and grabbing his ear will usually start crying when he does this, there was also a bit of blood on his pillow from where he had scratched inside his ear with his finger nail. If he starts again tonight, I will give him some panadol, and if he is still grizzly tomorrow, I will be taking him to the dr.
Oh, and Jordan didn't make it into the finals to read his poem, the teacher accidentally gave him the wrong note, I asked him today if he was upset he said he wasn't, he was angry because he really wanted to be in the finals, it has really annoyed me actually, I personally think they should have still let him compete.
Sharon I totally agree with you, it was their stuff up, not his so why should he miss out!

We had a hectic day yesterday, but ever the little Star, BJ sailed through it. SLept really well last night, I think he's just had his 4 month growth spurt...I jinxed myself....after posting about his routine, it all went haywire for a couple of days....increased feeds (and resulting increased wind!) but last night he had a good night (bang smack on what has been "normal" for us for a few weeks) so hopefully we are getting back into that routine.
We are meant to have MCHN appt tomorrow but I'm going out for lunch so I'm going to re-schedule...then he also has vaccs too, possible saturday, if not, then next week....that'll be fun!
Zennie give Russel a congrats hug from me, what a clever boy!
BJ is trying, he digs his back foot (so if he's trying to go to his right, he digs his left foot) into the floor and tries to push off, and often rocks from side to side...won't be long I'm sure!
Wonder what the MCHN is gonna say when I tell her BJ is eating cereal...too bad, not stopping....heehee

Sorry I have been absent for a few, days. Am waiting on sparkie at the moment to come and wire in our heater in kids room, as well as back light. He was ment to be here at 10am its now 11am and not even a phone call to say he is running behind. I tell you it will be last time I use this sparkie.
Well we went to see sister and her family on weekend. It was good to catch up.
Wyatt doing fine, Landon fine, Alise good. Am going to try and paint out a room this weekend end, so I can change kids over. Also we got some wall stickers to brighten up kids room and I want to put them on.
Also trying to get some blockout curtains done, DH Granny was sewing teacher and said she would make them for me, if I but all stuff. Fine ok, but how much to do I need? My windows are 1200mm wide. I know I need more for gatter but how much more??? Anyone useful in this area of DIY stuff, please help.

I was having problems with Lila having an upset tummy/watery green poos and found out she was getting too much foremilk. I was feeding more often than necessary and for a shorter period. I let her get really hungry and drain one whole breast completely, like super soft, before offering the other. If she didn't finish one at a feed, I offered it first at the next. Took a few days to gain equilibrium, but now she's down to like 5 or 6 feeds a day with heaps of time between and regular tummy and good poos every few days. Hope that helps?
Hi everyone.... hope you are all doin ok!! Well....where do I start??? My little man is being so frustrating at the moment.!!! His sleeps are getting shorter each night! ARGH!!! He goes down at 7pm then he has a dreamfeed at 10thirty then he is waking around 2thirty at the moment...he used to go through til around 4ish but not anymore???? Not too sure why. It seems as though everyone around me has such a great baby that is sleeping right through!! How do you do it???? Is it me or am I just losing patience?? If anyone has any ideas on how to get the little one to sleep through pls send me your suggestions i need all the help I can get at the moment.....

Mum to Jack he may be having a growth spurt, so is wanting to eat more frequently...BJ has just had one (Im pretty sure) he used to go from 7:30pm til 2-2:30am, then all of a sudden he'd wake at 10 and 1, and 4...or 11:30 and 3, and 7 etc...then last night he was back to 2:15 and 7:30am so we'll see what tonight brings!
[B]Mum to Jack:/B] Wyatt used to do that some nights, I just did the same thing to let him know it was night time and sleep. However now he goes back from 7:30-230 which is not the same but we are working back up to 4:30am.
Sarah My mum made curtains for me and it looks like she used twice the window width. I bought tab tops for the nursery and they are 110cm wide each and it says fits window 180cm wide. Another set I recently had up on a 150cm window were 103cm wide each - so 206cm for 150cm. I'd get the twice length you want in at least 90cm wide material if you are gathering the curtains. Ready mades are usually 213cm drops for full length plus allow for hems - so probably 2.5m length = 5mtrs of material, don't know with window length - but the last lot I had were at least 125cm drops - I'd get at least 3m if you are going for window length.
MOJ Sorry to say I don't think you can make them sleep through, every baby is different.
Sharon Greer had similar rosy cheeks, complaining, slept through night ok and it appears that it is sinus related redness for us - maybe Oliver is getting a cold.

mum to Jack there are still quite a few bubs in the same age group (and older) who don't sleep through, unfortunately those of us that have babies that do are very lucky, I hope things change for you soon though.
BabyWrangler Oliver had 1 night where he was extremely grizzly, and woke every hour from about 1am until I finally got up at 5.30am
alittlegrubi I suppose Oliver could be getting a cold, the rosie cheeks come and go. Hope you didn't get stressed today hun, the superheros biscuits sound great, I really don't like cooking/baking but that is mainly because I hate having to clean up the huge mess I make afterwards.
Oliver is sooooo close to rolling from his back onto his tummy, also when he is put down on his mat, I can go off to the kitchen, toilet or whatever and when I come back a few minutes later he has turned himself around 180 degrees or more.
Has everyone else been having problems logging in today, well, I could log in, just couldn't go anywhere on the site, it kept crashing, was driving me nuts! I was in an unusually good mood yesterday, don't know why as I had a confrontation with a friend (very long story) and I really thought I would have felt crap afterwards but I didn't, DH even went so far as to ask me if I had doubled up on my happy pills :cryinglaugh: cheeky bugger!

Just popping in to say we are off for a weigh in and vaccs today....gonna be a long and probably crabby day for BJ...but he's been so perfect of late, Im not too concerned!!!

Very excited here today ... DH put Liam down in his cot last night *awake* and then left him... 10 mins later he had put himself to sleep! He did it again this morning (at 5 am) and it worked again! I'm trying now and we'll see what happens... He's never done this before. Remember - Liam can't hold his own dummy in so that means he's been getting to sleep without the dummy and just by sucking his own hand! Clever little boy!
Also, it's mummy's group today so I'm really looking forward to that!
Must go & check how he's doing (he's awfully quiet)...

Nettie wooohooo! I hope Liam keeps being a little self settler!
Bj still has his dummy (but once he has it we can leave him to go to sleep by himself) but today while we were in the cattle call waiting to be jabbed, he was actually sucking his thumb, so we'll see where that goes!
He was a little star at vaccs...took the oral one really well, then had jab number one...no response...jab number 2, one grizzly yell that lasted less than 5 seconds and that was it (apparently the second one stings, hence an actual response from him), then he sang his sleepy some on the way home, had 100ml of bottle, and went to bed!
Sharon I hear you on the cleaning up after cooking...I LOVE cooking, but sheesh the mess...thank god for the dishwasher is all I can say!
