Lisa- Let us know how you go, hopefully everything is alright
Bel- Love the pics Josiah is such a cutie pie! I love giving Nixon cuddles I was just starting to think if i do this everytime he will associate crying with being picked up and cuddled and then i may not be able to get him out of it! Most times i am happy to cuddle but sometimes when just trying to get things done in between his feeds makes it hard!!
Ive done something to my website not sure what. I use babaies online but ran out of pics so went to a thrid party (photo bucket?) spent ages adding all the pics but cant seem to link it to babies online...., if anyone uses this could you pm me with how to link, i have followed the instructions but cannot get it working, really frustrating seeings i spent so much time on it.
sushee- Do you get any napping time during the day? if you are getting some hosue work done over napping then maybe you just need to stop what your doing, even if its a 20min power nap, sometimes they do the world of good! I should listen to my own advise, i havent been resting during the day, by early evening i am just buggered then get angry when DH comes home from work i think great some "me time" then 5mins later says i need to go to the gym...... i have told him i'd prefer him to go straight there because i wait for him to be home and want some rest or whatever then him saying he is going back out again really gives me the irrates..... he is getting to do what he wants to and i have to wait until he is done with everything before i can!

    Hi everyone

Lisa, was Tyron early or on time... if he was say 2 weeks early, then it might take to 8weeks for hime to follow/gaze/smile etc.

Jordan was 2 weeks early and turned 7 weeks old last night - he is beginning to smile every now and then. Is certainly gazing at things (loves the big striped fish hanging from the roof near his change table) and will follow voice when he feels like it

He too is getting lots of cuddles, can't help it, he is just sooo cute - everyone who meets him agrees. Had a few more visitors over the last few days, and a friend of Jen's who had her bub a few weeks before us is coming over sometime today - will get a photo of Jordan and Danica together

Some of you might remember me saying Jen's dad having a stroke. Well all that was unwell, is almost back to normal. His memory is doing great - it used to go downhill quite badly after lunch, but no more. Sure, he is a little impeded getting up and out of a chair, but once up he does okay... tis basically as if he didn't have one at all... such a relief, as during that first 24-48 hours we thought he wasn't gonna survive being in the emergency dept. Is now coming home on Thursday... He had told all the nurses at where he is, about Jordan. They absolutely adore him when we come to visit

Nickers, are you wanting to link to the photobucket site from the babiesonline site ?? I can't PM, but am on MSN if you want some help... my MSN email address is absdm at jump-run.com

    nic,

if I get really cranky, I try to get a nap in when Charlie's asleep, but usually with 2 hungry kids and one hungry DH getting home in the evenings, dinner, unfortunately, comes first. And laundry. And eating lunch. On bad days, it's Chicken Treat for everyone, but i can't get away with that too often, or we're all going to be nutritionally deprived! Lol!

abs, great to hear that Jen's dad is doing better.

Bel, off to check your photos out now. We've got to catch up one day and swap war stories!

Bel, u said it, being a Mummy has it's good & bad moments, but it's all worth it, especially when they smile at u. Cute pickies too.

Wow Nickers, that was Holly's birth weight almost. Good to hear he's putting on weight though.
Yeah, 7wks today, still bleeding (light), but obgyn said that some women go longer than 6wks. It's only if still bleeding by 10wks that may require curette, so don't worry. :-)

Lisa, I have to agree with Bel, lots of babies do things at diff rates, walking/crawling/talking/smiling/growing hair, etc, so don't be overly concerned, esp since ur bub's got other things going on, like Theresa said. My DH was a very late walker I'm told. Holly started smiling (1/day) at 4.5wk, at 6.5wk paed noticed she's starting to follow u round with eyes, she loves to hit her caterpillar toy's legs which is on 1 side of chng table & stare at looney tune stickups & make this cute ahhhh sound. Hope everything goes well with chkup. :-)

    Abs, that's great news.

Sush, bugger on the rash, Holly's milk pimples broke out a few days b4 our photo shoot, such a pain. Is it a rash or milk pimples? Is there anything they can treat him with? I'm sure he'll look adorable though. And best of luck in Dec. :-)
Well the 10hr sleep was a one off, but still going 7.5 then 4.5 each night, so I'm still happy bout that. For last 2 days, she's been awake alot during day & feeding 2.5 -3hrly. Hopefully Charlie will follow suit shortly. WTG on the weight loss.

Sleep/cry: Here's an interesting fact I learnt from CHN, babies have a 20min sleep cycle, & adults 90min. So they go in & out of a deep sleep ever 20mins, hence noises might wake them after 20mins. Interesting huh! Last night at MIL, Holly was in rocker I noticed she woke every 20mins but didn't make a sound, then drifted back to sleep each time. Sometimes in cot she wakes after 20 or 40mins & crys but I leave her & eventually she puts herself back to sleep again (unless still crying after so long or it's a serious scream cry). Apparently they learn bad habits from as early as 4-6wks, eg: if cry after 20mins get picked up, hehe, cheeky buggers, hence why I resist urge to pick her up, maybe that's why she sleeps so much at night, well for us anyhow, everyone's diff. Sometimes to get her to go to sleep (7-9pm ish) I have to wrap, hold&pat, put in cot, give dummy, turn on music/lightshow star & walk out & nearly close door, then she goes to sleep.:-)

    Hi everyone

Miss u all - i seem to b flat out doing nothing!!!!!
just a quick update about charlie and me.

we are walking 10km every day and have started playing A grade netball again - i played on the weekend and was a bit worried i might hurt myself but everything turned out great. i have lost 12 kilos so far and am 7 kilo's lighter than when i got pregnant - yeah for me..

Charlie will b 6 weeks on thursday and i really couldn't ask for a better baby - he has started sleeping 5 - 6 hours at night so i am only up once a night.
when he's not asleep he is just lying under his play gym staring at the world.
he has really started focussing on things - but still no real smiles - can't wait till he gets them. he belts all the little toys around and stuff

anyway better go - renevating to do!!!!! will read all personals tonight.

Nickers – the reason both boy twins often get hernias is that twins are often prem (mine weren’t) The hernia is caused in the tract where the testes come down and in prem babies it often doesn’t get time to close off and a hole is left hence the hernia.

Jacci – yeah for your weight loss. It feels great doesn’t it. I put on a pair of trousers that I hadn’t worn since before I was pregnant today and they are so loose. Great.

Theresa - this will give you a laugh. I emailed mum on the monday following mothers day to say belated mothers day and explained the reason she hadn't heard from me was re Hayden and his hernia etc. Anyway no reply which is not a surprise. But on Thursday my brother rang to let us know is girlfriends father had died and ask how Hayden was. Mum had told him about Hayden, so she seemed concerned but hasn't asked me how the appointment with the specialist went - About time to give up on her. Anyway Dad on Saturday told me he saw an old friend and told her he was a grandpa, she had already heard about the boys through mum and mum had made it sound like she had seen the boys and was having something to do with them. Of course all a lie as she has not asked one thing about them. She also told her that she had opened bank accounts for them which would not be possible as you can't open a bank account without proof of id (eg birth certificate)

at least, not in their name Kelly !

Hmm, wondering where our Birth Certificate is - must check with Jen to make sure she sent it back to em - they sent it back to us as I hadn't signed the appropriate bit (otherwise my name would have been left off it)

Apparently the CBA have an account that has climbed about 13% since it started in Feb last year... Education Account ?? Any withdrawals that are for Education expenses makes the interest earnt, tax free. Only prob is the buggers make it a minimum of $500 single deposits, or $100 by regular payments (ie comes out of your pay)

And how are you coping with working and having the boys. Jen isn't getting as much done as she'd like, but has settled on Saturday to be me and Jordy time, so she can work

Yay for the Charlie growth Jacci (ps, you need to fix your signature)

    And Welcome Back KelliC

I'm here!! Feeding and typing here too - and he's making a right mess being lazy with his feeding and not latching on properly so milk keeps squirting everywhere!

Birth cert - u just reminded me I've got to post mine, it's all ready to go I just haven't got down to the post office yet.

I'm so annoyed with Centrelink atm! Put in the claim for maternity payment when Josiah was first born so that we'd have the money by the time the money we saved for the mortgage had almost run out - anyway after 3 weeks I gave them a call just to see how far away it was. They said there had been a computer error but it would only be another couple of days - which was fine. I still hadn't heard anything yesterday so I gave them a call, and the girl confirmed that there had been a file error, but then looked a bit further into it and told me they'd actually lost some of the info due to the error and hence my claim had come out of the queue. I asked why no one had contacted me and she said it was 'just luck of the draw' whatever thats supposed to mean! She couldn't actually help me any further coz she doesn't deal with the processing (or just wanted to go home - it took me all day to get through to them) but said she put me at the top of the queue for today - if thats the case, why at 10am have I still not heard from them?!?! Now I have to spend today trying to get throughto them AGAIN and find out what the heck is going on. I'm so cheesed off right now!!!

Anyway that's my rant for the day. Hope everyone is having a better day than me!

    Hi everyone,

Well to all of you having a good nights sleep, think of me on the couch at 3 in the morning, still no signs of improvement here and I am about to have a nervous breakdown! I have an appointment with the paed on Friday!!

Bel, we just got our money yesterday, so that was nearly 6 weeks that it took to come through!!

Jacci - good on you getting back into your netball. I went to pilates for the first time last night, was great but feeling the strain in my muscles today!!

Theresa - I hope the hot water system gets sorted out soon, nothing worse than a cold shower!!

Nickers - great sleep by Nixon, he is doing so well for someone that came so early!1

Kelli - good to see you back, I hope your 3 girls are doing well!

Well someone is screaming again, I swear this baby is never happy, he is either feeding or screaming, no happy time in between!
