    Hi ladies,

Thankyou all for your kind and reassuring words, I feel like such a whinger lately! All I do is moan and whine about how I feel....I hate being like this. Anyway...

Kris, yeah, I have issues with my mum and the fact she doesn't come here much, though lately she seems to be making a bit more of an effort. There's other issues too, but it's all a looong story, too long for now
No we haven't been to sleep school. I seriously considered it a few weeks/months ago, but never made the call. I don't think I could do it. I can't stand to hear Lil cry, especially now being soooo overly emotional. It would all be too traumatic for me, not to mention her, with a new baby and new routine, kwim? I know when the baby comes I will be even more desperate for sleep, but I will deal with that when it happens I guess. If I am struggling then, then I will consider sleep school again. The last two nights she has been sleeping better. Only two wake ups and going straight to sleep after a bottle. DH has 5 days off soon and we are going to try giving her water instead of milk for those days to see how we go. Maybe she'll decide it's not worth waking for?? Wishful thinking maybe, but its worth a try! This morning she woke up at 7.45. It was sooo devine to sleep in a bit, with DH in bed too!

Disgirl, sorry you are feeling yuck. Hopefully it won't last too long. How lovely you got such beautiful cuddles with Ben though. Lil won't lay in bed with me anymore. She will snuggle next to me on the lounge sitting up, but not laying in bed.

Jen, thanks for your advice too. We are going to try to get her off the bottles at night when DH has more than a few days off. Maybe that will trigger her to sleep through...who knows! We have had some loud night road works happening outside, some nights literally outside our units. And I swear some of our neighbours are soo inconsiderate and the noise they make all echoes around in her room and our hallway. I think sometimes that's what wake her.
I'm glad to hear that Beau was being better bahaved today. I think Lily might be teething again too. She does the head hitting and head butting thing too and she also bites everything- the lounge, her soft toys, towels, clothes, me....anything that is soft and spongey gets seriously chomped on! She's also got a rash around her mouth and is drooling like nothing else. THough I cna't see any red or swollen gums...maybe her teeth are just moving.

Kaz, glad to hear Pip is better now. And Lily LUUURRRVES mandarines too. My mum has a tree in her yard and Lily just picks them off and chomps on them, sometimes skin and all if your not quick enough to peel it!!

Well for us, we had a much better day today. Lily slept well, well it was good for her! Two wake ups and sleeping in til 7.45! Then she was in such a great mood all day. Mum had her for a few hours while DH and I went to the movies (saw the second Narnia movie) and had lunch together just us. It was really nice to spend time together it's been waaay too long! And Lily loves it at mums where she can run free in her yard and play with my neice. She was so cute when she came home too, every time DH and I had a cuddle or a kiss, she came in between us and held her arms up to get some lovin too. Just too precious. Then we made a bit of a game of it, DH kissed me and Lily made kiss sounds so I had to kiss her, then DH then her.... Then she was just making kissy sounds to me all night to kiss her. Ugh, she knows how to melt my heart!! (And drive me insane....)
She's only had one sleep today, so I am hoping that maybe that might make her sleep more tonight. She's still sleeping twice a day most days, only not sleeping twoce if we're out or if she's very involved in her playing, like with my neice and nephew, or friends. Maybe she's sleeping badly at night cause she's sleeping too much in the day? Though she only usually sleeps 40mins then anywhere between 40min-1 1/2 hrs for her second sleep, so not much more than two hours a day on any day if that. Which is pretty normal from what I can gather.
Anyway, going to have a shower and go to bed, night all, hope it's a good one!!

    Hey All,
Wow I am tired today, Beau had party time tat 1am - wanted to ride his car and push his very loud cement truck in the pitch black room....I want to go back to bed! Got my tax cheque and cannot face the massive walk up to the bank...ick!
Kel - You sound better after having some normal time with DH - maybe when the new bub comes Lil will be forced to cry a little bit too when DH isnt there and you cant attend to her every second IYKWIM? It might sort itself out. Thats so cute with her kissing!
Kaz - Beau just squishes the mandarin so the juice comes out and makes picasso pictures on the floorboards with it....pip sounds like a good fruit eater - I wish Beau was cause I do worry!
Kris - No we havnt bought the house we like on the lake - its still there tho - taunting us! We dropped the price on our house yesterday so fingers crossed that lures them in a bit more!
Ok Beau has had enough of me passing him boks while I am on here - he is rubbing his eyes like mad! So am I - little bugger he was up a 6am too.....

    Good morning ladies

Jen, Ben and Beau must have been on the same wavelength the other night. 3am was party time in our house! Urgh! Always on a school night!!!!
Which lake are you wanting to buy on?

Kris, three bubs in a 2br unit? Now that would be interesting! It must be hard having people traipsing through your house all the time. We're in our first home so we've never experienced that.

Kaz, hope you're feeling better. My migraine last week wiped me out for a good few days. They are not fun at all

Kel, you sound MUCH better after your day with DH. How sweet with Lil and her kisses! We've decided that Ben should try and have just the one nap a day now, but it's hard with us having to leave home at 5:45 in the morning. I think it's those early starts that make him want to have a morning nap.

Us, well I'm feeling....okay! I had to think about that for a second because I felt rotten when I first got to work, but obviously sitting on my butt agrees with me!
Yesterday I was told that I'd missed out on the case-load program for this baby after the woman I initially booked my first appointment with said I didn't have to put my name down until my first appt - WRONG! So I was put on a waiting list - of seven people! I was devastated (tears at work - never good!) because I really loved the program when I was pg with Ben. Anyway, somehow my name must have been passed on to my midwife and she called me yesterday afternoon to tell me she was going to try to fit me in somehow. Nothing definate yet, but I have my fingers crossed.

Ben slept really well last night. He woke up with a cough though - I guess this super-cold weather is finally getting him. His face is a mess, all rashy from dribble. I can't wait til his two other molars come in!

It's cold but SUNNY today and that makes a big difference IMO Have a good one!

    Hi Girls,
I am back at work in a new position and having no time to jump on the net
Well, Olivia has been yuck over the past 2 nights and ended up in bed with us. Hopefully it will be over soon, just thinks she knows that I am working again!!! Her face is really clear and shes beautiful, but drives me insane at winging at everything...eheh eh eh. Everything is eh eh eh. Shes decided my toothbrush is the go atm and constantly has it in her mouth. At least I see her trying to brush....so cute. What else...I am getting fatter by the minute, lol but feeling ok. Last night I had a migrane, with that fuzzy line over my vision...just think I am tired.

Kel- big hugs to you. i wish I was closer to be able to give you a hand. I think once we stopped bottles overnight, then the cosleeping, things started to slowly get better, but every now and then, she reverts

jen, kristie, kaz, Mel, erin...hello. I have to go and do some work, but hope youre all well.

    IT'S A BOY!!!!

Everything looked good so we're very excited!! Gosh I'm going to have my hands full thats for sure - hehe. I'm sure they'll all be the best of buddies though! His name is Ethan Michael....

Kel - Good luck getting Lily's sleeping under control...I'm sure it will help when dh is home for a bit...
    LOl at the kisses...

Jen - Oh..that's lucky then! At least you don't have that extra pressure - that would be awful. We got an offer in on our house today but it was too low....dodgy people - LOL!
Sorry to hear that Beau was up last night - Oh that would absolutely do my head in if that happened - hehe!

Disgirl - Yeah...I hope it doesn't happen but we'll have to deal if it does! Yes it's extremely frustrating having people come through - although I'm in a pretty good routine keeping it clean now but it's hard on the kids because I'm forever putting they're toys away and none of us can really just relax! It has to be done however!
Good luck with the midwives! I hope Ben doesn't get too sick...

Melissa - Sorry to hear Olivias been a handful! Hope she settles down soon! Wow you mustn't have long until your scan??

Am so tired today and Olivia is still awake in her cot. Shes been in there for an hour. Why wont she go to sleep. At least shes not screaming the house down, so I shouldnt complain. anyway, I'm going to brush my fangs and hopefully hit the sack.

    Morning All!
Congratulations Kristie! A beautiful boy! Love his name too!
Looks like your hair will be going grey sooner than you thought with all the testosterone in your house! I have three brothers and its lovely watching them with all their families now they are older too - they are great mates and all work together LOL!
Mel - Glad Olivia's face is nice and clear now - hope she settled for you last night eventually.
Dis - Dont people annoy you like that? Its so super important to you but they are so hopeless! Hope they sort it out for you but - hope its sunny there today again! Yay dry washing!
Us- Ithink beau woke in the night but he settled himself thankgod - I was so tired I didnt really even wake up - he was up at his usual 6am of course, but he is quite happy, he got an xylaphone yesterday and he loves it! Still a whinger of course but not on the grand scale. Did I mention I havn't taken him for his 1yr shots? Im not going to either - or delaying them, i just feel funny about having it done.
    Ok better get dressed!

    Good morning!

Mel, I'm sure that Liv knows you are back at work and that's the prob. Ben went a bit haywire when I went back - it's not easy.
GL with your scan on the 17th - are you going to find out the gender?

Congrats on you new little man Kris!!! Love the name. Y'know, I always thought I'd have three boys! I have a good friend from school who has three boys and they're spaced out about the same as your boys will be. They are the most delightful kids

Jen, yup, it's annoying when people are so blase about things that are really important to you! Grrrr, well hopefully it will all end up okay.
I read in another thread that you weren't getting Beau his 1yr shots. I can totally understand why you wouldn't. I really debated whether or not to get Ben his, but in the end I decided to. I really struggled with the decision though and was really uneasy for about a month afterwards. There's just so much they don't know.
How cute with his little xylaphone! Ben loves anything that makes a noise - of course!

Us, we had an alright night last night. He was awake at 3am, but I think he was cold. I brought him into bed with me and turned his heater on in his room. Put him back to bed in half an hour and he was fine until 6am (making us late again!). Geez it was cold this morning though - 3 degrees when I left for work - brrrrr!

My sister might be having her baby today!!! She has been up all night with bad pains and was going to the hospital this morning. I'm so excited!! She was due yesterday and has been miserable for about a week. I really hope bubba decides to come and meet us all today

    Hi!

Melissa - hope you got some sleep last night...Not to long to wait until you have your scan - how exciting!

Jen - How nice to hear how your brothers get along well! I love hearing that! How cute that he loves his xylophone! Hmmm...your choice with the immunisations...I never really gave it any thought to be honest! Does it affect childcare/kinder/school though?? I thought they had to have immunisations to get in...??

Disgirl - How exciting for your sister - let us know when you find out!

    HIya girls,

Jen, yep, that's what I'm thinking with Lil and her attachment to me. Unfortunately she is just going to have to learn the hard way when bubs is born. She gets very attached to DH too when he's home for a few days, though not like she is to me. Tonight she let him leave to go to soccer training with out a whine, just watched him walk out the door . Whereas earlier, I went to the toilet and omg!!! It was like I was leaving for a month! She ran as fast as her little legs would carry her to the bathroom and nearly knocked herself out trying to open the door!
LOL at Beau wanting to play in the middle of the night! Lily tries it too, but I won't let her if she's awake at midnight then she just lays there awake with me, there's no playing here!!!
With Beau's shots, you have to go with your heart. I felt a bit funny getting Lily's done this time too, though obviously not enough to stop me, but for you if that feeling jsut tells you not to then the best thing for you is not to do it.
And Kris, with the immunisations, it doesn't affect kindy as such, only the payments you get from the gov't for immunisations. Jen will have to notify whoever that B isn't immunised fully, and will have to keep him away if theres any kind of out break, but he's still allowed to go otherwise.

Disgirl, good to hear your midwife is trying to be flexible for you, good luck getting in.
Lil's got teething rash too. All over her cheeks and under her chin. It's starting up on her chest too from all her drool, even though I'm trying to keep her chest dry....
I sometimes wonder if Lily is cold when she wakes, but she feels warm to touch, and I don't want to overheat her...and yep it's been pretty chilly here lately huh! But the days are sooo beautiful at the moment, I love it!
How exciting about your sis having her bub! I hope it's a quick and non traumatic birth for her!

Melissa, thanks for the sympathy hun. If I could help you I would too, we could take turns catching up on sleep, LOL!! Yeah, stopping the bottles overnight would probably help for us too, but to be honest, I'm just too lazy to do it. I couldn't put up with the sleepless nights I know I'd be in for if I tried. Actually I have tried once before and she just lays awake on me and when I try to put her to bed she cries. We sat like that for two hours before I gave in and gave her the bottle and as soon as she finished it she was dead to the world. Tried again the next night and the same thing happened, so I just gave up...as I said too lazy to do it!!
Sorry to hear Olivia isn't sleeping so well. I hope she does tonight for you.

Kris, YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! Congrats on your little man!!!! How exciting for you hun!! At least you won't have to buy him anything new, LOL! And it's great to hear that he's healthy. I love his name. I wanted Ethan for our little man, but DH won't have it....we're still trying to decide on a name!

As for us, we have had a pretty good day. Lily only woke once last night!! And DH got up to her. Wooohooo! Although I was up til 12.30 in tears over stupid stuff! These damn hormones are going to drive me insane. So I didn't actually get to sleep all that well anyway! Then Lily came knocking on my door at 7.30...she knows if our bedroom door is closed then one or the other of us is asleep in there and will come knocking, especially if it's me!!
We met a doula today, well she's a student at the moment, but she was really lovely. I think it will be such a great help for us to have her at our birth. Especially if it's as long as Lily's was. And since it's just DH and I there, it will be good for him to have support too. She had her bub with her too and Lily was fascinated with her! But then when I gave her a cuddle it was another story! She cried and whinged until I gave the baby back and picked her up! I'm really hoping that its not an indication of how she will be, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Anyway that's it, I hope everyone is good.

    Hi ya everybody....
While Beau is happy upturning all his shoe boxes I thought i would jump on!
Kris - My friend (who moved from Byron Bay - no further explination needed!) didnt vaccinate her kids and now they are at 'big school' - she has a letter from her doc and has had no problems so far with them not being alowed to do anything, as Kel says, if there is a chicken pox outbreak etc I would keep him home. I emailed my GP about it but she was pro injections surprisingly and wouldnt split them so I have left it at that. Its funny but my friend form Byron said she would have lost all her friends there if she immunised her kids! How bizarre! They were so opposed to it up there- how judgemental is that tho?
Kel - I understand you not wanting to rock the boat even more with Lil and her waking and you being so tired with pg. Thats great you are having a doula, she should be an enormous help, we had doula training for beau but DH didnt want a stranger there for the birth, but i am sorry i didnt now it was so hellish! How funny Lil and her jealousy of her bubba! She will get over it quickly anyway when your bub arrives.
Dis - All the best for your sis! Let us know what she has and the name of course! brrr 3 degrees! OMG! We have a heater in Beaus room that regulates the temp, so i feel ok leaving it on - but still I go in there and its a stuffy furnace or stone cold! he lasts about 2 mins under his blankets!
Us - Well I have a marathon day sleeper on my hands atm - 3 1/2 hours yesterday - whats up with that? 3 hrs the day before - I think his teething is making him tired - but he stil goes to bed at 6:30pm and wakes at 5:30am - cant keep him down later than that.
Ok he is over his toys better skat

    Hey all,
Thats so funny Kel, I can just picture Lil running after you. Theres NO peace in the toilet. I have Olivia trying to put her hands between my legs, behind my bum, just to get a feel of whats down there. Then she wants to sit on me while I am in the toilet. I leave the door open because I cant handle the constant banging and crying if its shut. No wonder I am constipated!! I cant relax at all. I just invested in a huge container of metamucil which I will start taking every day. I had another slight bleed last night after straining....too much straining, feels like my insides are about to fall out.lol. Oh and with the overnight bottles, I fully understand how hard it is to give them uo. You have to be able to put up with long periods of wake up overnight. I dont know how we did it, I must have been so tired.
Jen thats good that Beau is sleeping like that, tis a shame he doesnt sleep til a reasonable hour!!!
Hello kris and mel. My scan is on 14th July at 130pm. I think we will find out what we are having, just wont tell family or friends, like to give them a suprise
i made an appointment for Olivia today to see the allergy specialist, pretty much 2 days after stopping the antibiotics, her face has flared up again. It was so dry and crusty thismorning. It was hard as a rock. I wouldnt imagine it being comfy. he lip gas slpit a bit too. So we were lucky enought to get in on the 9th July as there was a cancellation, otherwise she wouldnt have gotten in til October. Hopefully we will have some answers soon.

Well, its my day off today. I have to clean the house, but honestly, I just want to go to sleep. I might just do a quick tiday and have a lay down (olivias at day care).

    Hi!

Thanks for the info regarding immunisations...I wasn't sure so that clears it all up! Thats good it doesn't affect anything - at least you have a real choice then!

Kel - I can't remember the last time I went to the toilet with the door closed - LOL! Or had a shower with the bathroom door closed. Hehe. Luckily the boys don't hassle me too much...
Yeah at organising a doula - I'm sure having her will be a help! Oh no at Lily grizzling when you were holding the baby...I suppose she will just have to get used to it...I didn't have those sorts of dramas with the boys although I think Dylan will be more difficult than Louis was...He seems to be a bit more clingy and sooky in some ways...
Hope your feeling ok...It's horrible when you feel rotten - I hope you felt a bit better though for having a big cry - we all need it sometimes!

Jen - I truly believe it's each to their own...It's an individual choice and people shouldn't be made to feel bad or odd either way!
Wow - what huge day sleeps! Aaaah the bliss! I can't get Dylan to hardly sleep during the day yesterday and today...He's woken up with a really snotty nose and cold so of course doesn't want to sleep...I've given him dimetapp and got the vaporiser going but he's in there chatting and sooking...Of course Louis has gone straight to sleep - which he does only maybe once or twice a week and now Dylan won't sleep...I so rarely get them to sleep together - grrr....Sorry for the vent - LOL!

Melissa - Sorry to hear about your toilet troubles...Prunes are meant to help as well I think??? Poor Olivia...thats great you've got in so early for the specialist though!
I hope you avoid the cleaning and just rest - it's the perfect opportunity!!! Enjoy!!

I've just been food shopping so now will be chilling out...I'm sooo tired - went to bed way to late last night and then Dylan was unsettled with the start of his cold...We've got open for inspection AGAIN tomorrow - they're doing it every Sat which means I have to jump up and get all the cleaning done...dh has been working Sat's as well so I have to keep the boys occupied as well as tidy which doesn't normally matter but I just feel a bit more pressured at the moment...Other than that I think we have a pretty quiet weekend planned which will be nice...

    G'day!
Beau is sooo cranky - fully blue-lip crying when he cant have any camembert! He wouldnt eat his tea as dad gave him some just before it GRRRR! Im buggered, been cleaning and re merchandising the house all day, mowed the lawn and swept up, etc etc plus inside - when Beau does have long sleeps I dont exactly rest! just trying to make tomorrow morning easier on us! He has a nice shiner on one side of his face from a fall against the skirting board yesterday which looks horrible too! Poor lamb.
Kris, I dont know how you do it with 2 and PG, I have had to do quite a few with Beau and that in itself is a nightmare! Good luck to both of us tomorrow - fingers crossed xxxx Hope Dylans snotty nose gets better! Is it from his dip in the drum at the farm?
Mel - Sympathies on the constipation - pity the best rememdy you cant have when PG, a strong coffee! Does decaf do the same trick I wonder? My GP prescribed Senakot which worked well too. Its over the counter. Good on you for having a lay down! Screw the housework!
One question - Beau has worked out how to pull the non slip mat up off the plug now (which covered it) - anyone know any Beau proof pulgs out there?
We have wine as DH has been paid today so I am getting drunk (sorry PG girls....uh which is basically everyone!) - hi to everyone else !

Jen - Not sure about the plugs...Louis got to a point where he kept pulling it out so we just let it drain (as long as he was basically washed) and he cut his own bath short...didn't go down well at all so he soon got out of the habit - LOL!
Sorry to hear Beau is so cranky...I don't think the boys will eat much dinner tonight either as we've been picking at stuff all arvo...Louis helped make dinner - pizza! So cute...Dylan's just piked in finally on the couch - what timing!!! I knew it would happen though...I'm dreading waking him up for dinner now...
Chances are it's from last week - it was so cold and they got so muddy and dirty - he's also been at gymbaroo and his cousins as well so who knows...it was bound to happen sooner or later...
LOL - My house probably doesn't look half as immaculate as yours - I've given up though - As long as it's tidy and reasonably clean that will do - if you've seen some of the stuff we'd walked through ours is a million times better even when messy! LOL! I had it all clean last week and people came through earlier in the day by appointment and traipsed dirty footprints all over the floor and carpet so I don't bother too much now...

K - better go and serve up dinner!

Yeah, Jen thanks rub it in, lol....I would luuuuurrrrve a glass of red wine tonight.

Feeling pretty cr@ppy today. Have had a fever and I've been freezing all day. Really lethargic, achey and sleepy. Poor Lily has just been wandering the house for most of the day. She's well and truely demolished it thats fro sure! She's figured out how to open my clothes drawers and she's dragged half of my clothes out into the lounge room, as well as all of her toys from the toybox. The house looks like a bomb site. I tired to draw with her but she still hasn't gotten the fact that the crayons stay with the paper and they don't go walk about with her, so that was that and the tantrum wasn't worth the effort it took to draw with her in the first place!
Anyway I'm going to laze on the lounge some more and wait for DH to come home.

Kel - sorry to hear your feeling so rotten...I hope you get better soon...LOL at Lily making such a mess - I know when you feel like that it's easier to just let them go if they seem happy!!
Have you tried putting her in the high chair to draw? I still make Louis sit at the table on his booster chair thing so we don't have any issues...It's a good habit as well so that when bubs arrives she can draw happily up there away from baby...
    Just a thought...
