    Hi girls,

Sorry I have been mia, things have been pretty hectic here. We have been pretty sick lately. Lily has had some sort of tummy bug, a fever, conjunctivitis and a cough and has been puking everywhere. I caught the puky bug and fever, but only for 12hrs thank goodness. DH has had gastro and fevers. Thankfully Liam hasn't gotten anything, though he's been a bit unsettled. Really hit and miss with his sleeping, and still feeding every 2-3hrs. DH and I are better and Lily seems to finally be on the mend, no vomiting for 24hrs....fingers crossed we get through the night with none.
We are going to Canberra to visit friends for the weekend (considering Lily is still ok). I'm looking forward to getting out of the house. Though I'm not looking forward to the drive. I'm hoping they both sleep most of the way. It's only 3hrs or so, but still, 3hrs of screaming kids is 3 too many!

Dis, sorry to hear ben is sick too. It sucks huh? At least your DH is helping out too. I hope everything goes back to normal soon.

Kris, sorry to you too to hear that the boys seem to be getting sick again. I hope they don't get too bad. A lazy day sounds good for you, maybe it'll help the boys stay well??

    Well, that's it for now.

Hi to Kaz, Jen and anyone else I've missed. I'm going for a shower and then early to bed it might be a big day tomorrow.

    evening ladies.

No illness here, although we did have a super-poosplosion this morning - was after I was dressed for work so needed to get undressed and back into the shower with Pip. ERK!

Kris - hope the boys are on the mend?

Mel - good luck in getting some sleep.

DG - yay on your hubby for taking a shift to let you sleep!

Kel - hoping Lil gets better so you can have a drive. We found leaving really early when Pip was still asleep helped with trips!

Us - more teeth coming through, and the little bugger is now climbing heaps.

    dream pretty all!

    Hi!

Big hugs Kel - what bad timing for you all to get so sick with a new demanding bubba! I'm sure he'll settle down soon - they say the first 6 weeks are the worst! Hope you manage to have a good trip away for the weekend...we always leave at naptime after lunch or at bedtime to avoid the kids being a nightmare...

Kaz - Oh no at the poo! Gross! LOL! Hope those toothy pegs come through quickly...

As for us...Louis is still really sick - although luckily he sleeps well at night still, but Dylans definitely getting the runny nose so I'm expecting an unsettled night from him...
I'm in my pj's and off for an early night myself - chat later!

    Hi Everybody!
Finally online! The move went pretty well - as far as moves go I guess....Beau was unsettled the first day and a half with his sleeps (cried them out mainly as his sliding door is SOOOO loud and he knew something was up straight away IYKWIM? "This is NOT my room!!!"
Slowly slowly we are getting there - I have told DH I need a clone of him as we have been proritising getting the fence built (me painting/he building) so we can get our dogs here from BIL's - and inbetween that I have been trying to unpack boxes while Beau is awake....yeah right! Although I am standing here at the kitchen bench looking out the big windows (past DH fence builuding) and onto the vast lake and its pretty special. Although I just dressed B in his super cute new boardies and havianas and he just wandered out to DH and sat inthe water
Beau is especially whingy today - he had his shots 9days ago so I think he is under the wire for the 7-10 day extra whinge window....
Hi to everyone - I will try and catch up with everyone...so far it looks like lots of sick bubbas and mummas!
    Good to be back....yipee!!!

Hopefully Beau settles for you soon...I'm expecting the same sort of thing from my boys when we move next week but we'll see!
Glad your back online! Chat later!

Well girls, all your good wishes worked! We had a sleep-through night last night - yay!!!

Kris, poor Louis! Hopefully Dylan won't get such a severe case of it, maybe just the sniffles? Not what you need a week before your big move.

Jen, yay on being in your new house!!!! I'm sure it won't take long for Beau to settle into the new place once he reaslises that it is really his place now. I've only ever moved once - from the folks' house to ours and we bought nearly everything new so I have never had to unpack. The thought alone is daunting! Good luck. Are there some small things you can get Beau to 'help' with? Ben loves 'helping' now - at least it keeps him occupied!

Kaz, yukko on the poosplosion! Could have been worse I suppose...leakage on your work clothes would have topped it! It was probably a lovely teething one too - gross! I think I made DH sound like he doesn't do much normally, but he works nights, leaving home at either 11:30pm or 2:30am so normally he can't help me out at night. The other night he didn't get ANY sleep at all since once he finally got Ben to bed, it was time to go to work - poor boy!

Kel, geez louise! What a really rough run you guys have had!!! for you and hopefully the worst is past now. Poor little Lil seems to have copped everything. Good luck with the drive. My offer still stands if I can do anything - I'm just a quick(ish) trip down the M5 from you!

Mel, I hate these teeth that are coming through! They seem to be worse than the molars!!! Ben's have looked close to popping for weeks now and still nothing! A good night's sleep makes a total difference, so I'm sending sleep vibes your way!

I'm feeling amazing today after a full nights' sleep last night!!! Ben's eye and cheek aren't swollen any more and aren't red either, so the hayfever seems to have left. No rash either - from the strawberry - and he seems to be pretty much back to normal. We'll see how we go tonight, but at least it's Friday so I don't have to worry about work tomorrow, which is the thing that really gets me.

I officially applied for my maternity leave yesterday too, so I OFFICIALLY only have 10 WEEKS LEFT OF WORK!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!

Gorgeous day here, and we're expecting similar tomorrow. Spring is really here!!!

    Hey Girls,

Well, another thanks for the sleep vibes....Olivia has finally cut the top left eye tooth and last night she slept from 8pmish til 7amish I woke a few times waiting for her cries, but actually not having to get out of bed made me feel grate coz dh and i decided to got to bed at 9pm so we had just as much sleep Yay!

Kris- glad your appointment went well. Did you come early or late with the boys???? Hope they get better soon

Kaz- yuck on the poo.....just yuck!!!! Hope pips teeth come through quickly

Kel- sorry you were all sick. It must be really hard for you. Am hoping the weather gets better and you'll be sick free. Have fun on your weekend away. 3 hours is a long time, good luck!!!!

Jen- yay on the move. It sounds lovely where you are...do post some pics of your nice view.

Mel- Glad you got some sleep too. I agree these teeth are pretty bad. Havent taken as long as the molars.....but are bad for sleep.

Ok, my 4th and final load of washing has finished, go to hang it out while the wind is warm. My first load is pretty much dry.

    Have a great weekend all

    Love melissa

    Hi!

Disgirl - Yeah at getting to sleep all night! It's amazing what a good nights sleep can do for you! I agree on the "helping"! We usually get Louis to set the table each night but Dylan likes to do it as well now so they get 2 placemats each! So cute...
Yeah at only 10 weeks of work left!! woohoo!

Mel - Yeah at a good nights sleep as well! I had Louis 2 weeks early and Dylan came on his due date! I think Louis only came early though because I was still teaching dance classes!! LOL!

Boys are down, although Louis isn't asleep...I think he's already on the mend cos he's resisting a day sleep...I'd say he definitely won't need one tomorrow, but poor Dylan is struggling to stay asleep with his snotty nose...I might try and have a lie down but I don't like my chances...Chat later!

    Hey

Kristie- hope you got that sleep and the boys are better today.

Me- am feeling a bit upset today. Yesterday we went and got olivia from day care and the lady didnt say anything except that she was very sensitive all day and cried when other kids touched her (she got beaten up by a little boy on tuesday- he smaked her around the face a few times and grabbed at her mouth and made her bleed). Since then she has been a bit cautious...fair enough. So last night when I was changing her, I took the nappy off and it was stained...i though ooh thats funny looking skiddies, then I lifted up her bum and she had the worst rash that had been bleeding. Her bum was completely clear yesterday morning, to this. Today its 2 big red patches and very sore. Looks like shes been dragged along the ground and has carpet burn. I feel so bad for her. Hopefully it wont take long to clear up, but it leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and now am thinking about what to do. Am going to have a chat with dh today and look at our options.

Anyway, thabks for listening...have a good Saturday

    Love melissa

    Hi There,
Oh Mel, Goodness, I put my hand up to my mouth when I read your post - do you think she really has carpet burn or is it nappy rash? Oh gosh I dont know what to say - Poor Olivia. What about the little ***** that hit her? No wonder she is a bit funny. Sorry but I am really not very understanding of the whole "kids are kids" thing. Whats your gut feeling? I am pretty precious with Beau - maybe the mums with bubs in daycare will give you better advice.
Dis - Glad you are feeling so well but did Ben have a reaction to strawberry? Congrats on putting your leave in! I am trying to encourage B to "help" - lets just say he has watched a hell of a lot of cookie monster this move!
Kris - Your boys will be fine - I ran around trying to put all his familiar stuff up in his room straight away to try and help him - but I think as long as we are there thats all they care about really. Glad Ethan is doing well too.
Kel - Sorry you guys have been sick, hope you are doing better and Liam hasnt caught it.
Us - Beau is pretty tired and sooky again today - I think its his teeth again - he is stirring so I better go. Hey question, he isnt eating a hell of a lot at the moment - anyone had experience with that?
    Ok better fly.

    Hi!

Well, we've officially started moving! We had final inspection this morning and dh has taken the first load of stuff over now...Woohoo! The kids loved running around the house and didn't want to leave! They were still packing their stuff though so it was quite messy but thats to be expected!

Mel - Omg...poor Olivia - what a bad run she's had this week...I wouldn't be happy with that at all...it's hard when they're in other care...it makes me wonder how much gets missed...I hope she's better soon...
Nup, no sleep was had...Louis didn't end up sleeping at all so was a waste of time...I had a reasonably early night but I'm still tired! I just wish I could give myself an energy boost! Probably not likely to happen this side of xmas though! Lol!

Jen - Yeah - after seeing the boys today I'm sure we'll have no troubles! Your right - as long as they have mum and dad I don't think much would phase them...Sorry to hear Beau is a bit sooky...I've had the not eating much with Louis lately but not Dylan so much...I'm sure his appetite will pick up again soon...

Chat later! Hope your all enjoying your weekends!

Hey- Jen- its definately nappy rash. today she has 2 x 20 cent piece size red bits on her bum cheeks. But in describing it it looks like when you skid on the carpet and get burnt. I will confron the lady when I see her. i think whats she has done is left olivia in a dirty nappy for way too long, probably she has put her down to sleep, o has done a poo and cried, and the lady has left her to sleep in it for 2 hours. It makes me mad. I like Olivia being able to socialise and also get away from me for a bit, but thisa just makes me wonder if its worth it and I'm starting not to trust her.

Adn that little boy...well thats another story. Within 5 minutes of being there he hurt her and his mum did nothing. the big brother was just as bad. After I grabbed his arm and told him off, he went and did it to another kid. His mother finally got off her back side and started watching them.

So thats our week. olivia is ultra clingy. Shes also off her food a bit too. I just offer frequent snacks. Shes usually a great eater, hopefully her appetite will come back soon.

Good luck on the move kris- what an adventure!!!

Ok, bath time, and i'm going to watch the Saints beat haks...hopefully!!!

    Take care

    Love Melissa

    Good Evening....
Had a nice arvo here with my BIL/SIl and their kids playing in tke lake with Beau - feeding the pelicans and our jack russells scaring them off! Good to have our family (fur babies) all re-united now although Beau tried to pick one of the dogs up by its neck before.....
Mel - I think still.....how hard is it to change her nappy before a nap? Gosh - it would p me right off - definately confront her - you are paying for a service after all. Makes me wonder how she got her impetigo in the first place? Let us know how you go. As for the little mean boy......ick. Have a good night watching your footy,
Kris - Good luck hon! Glad the boys were happy with there new digs - I hope Beau's appetite picks up - I think he is having too much milk still thats why he is disinterested in food as such. Unless its eggs, cheese, risotto, yoghurt or vegemite he isnt interested really.
Ok Beau is asleep, DH is doing something with his new fishing rod so I am onto the Ikea website to create my wishlist!

Jen- your place sounds just lovely. Yep I am paying for her services and a bum change would be nice! I will confront her, I want and explanation...she only has 4 kids to deal with all day!

Well- looks like someone has taken my dear child and swapped her. Loads of tanties, breakfast was a nightmare, she grabbed her food and squeezed it hard then threw it. threw her water, squashed banana! Shes super clingy, wouldnt let go of me last night when we went and saw her little cousins...and really hard to get dressed, so much so dh cracked it with her and walked off!!!!
At least she slept ok, fingers crossed.

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone. Today I am making lemon chicken in the slow cooker and its a reasonably nice day so we might do some gardening...all pending on little miss!!!!

Mel, isn't it just gorgeous! The day that is.
Yerk on the bumrash. Definately sounds like a dirty bum slept in. Our CC has woken PIp for a bumchange and then tell us that's why he's only had a half hour sleep (he sometimes won't settle back down) but I'm OK with that! Better than bumrash!

Kris - sounds like the boys may not stress too much at the move (here's hoping)

Jen - poor puppy! Pip's also a bit weird at the mo. Picky with his food.

Us - strange sleeping habits. Didn't get him to sleep until 10pm on Friday night (my fault, I took him to Knox) and then the slept until 10am Saturday, then napped from 1pm till 6pm and last night slept from about 8:30 until 9am this morning. I have a feeling he's eaten a 5c coin as he keeps screaming when he needs to do a poo - not sure what to do here - plus no poos yesterday - erk.

    Have a great day all!

    Hi!

We had a gorgeous day yesterday...the weather was so nice and we had a bbq for my mums b'day so chilled out in the arvo at my brothers house while the kids played. Dh was still moving and got heaps of stuff done...I've got heaps of packing to get done today though and need to get some food...mums cleaned the oven so I'm going to avoid that for the week which is more difficult than I though! LOL! It's getting very exciting now - I can't believe we'll be in our new house on Friday! This house looks like a bombs hit it though but I suppose it can't be avoided at the moment...
Oh and I woken up with the kids cold...grrr...it's not too bad though - well at least it's not the flu!

Mel - I hope Olivia's on the mend...It's a hard call with child care...There are definitely pro's and cons - you can only choose whats right for you! Hmm maybe she's going through a bit of a developmental spurt as well? I know Dylan definitely is - he's words are increasing so much and he's "whats that" about everything...at the same time he's had some bad sleep (settled down now) and has passed out twice in the last week with his temper tantrums (after not doing it for ages)
LOL - an adventure is right! It's definitely starting to feel this way...we've got to get the carpets cleaned in the new house so we might all be sleeping on the tiles in the famiy room when we move! LOL!
Hope you got some gardening done!

Jen - Sounds like you had a gorgeous day! Hmm how much milk is Beau still having? That may not be helping...Dylan only has a cup of milk with his lunch now and usually a few mouthfuls before bed although I'm not even going to bother with that soon as he eats so much dinner he doesn't need it...they only need about 3 or so serves of dairy now I think it is...

Kaz - Wow - maybe pips having a spurt as well with all that sleep! Poor thing with his poo's....hope it resolves itself soon...

Well, better get myself organised or I'll get nothing done today!

    Chat later!

    Hi girls!

Mel, Ouch on Liv's bum rash. I can understand why you're upset. It's bad enough knowing she's in pain, but it sounds like it could have been easily avoided by the carer too. Poor little thing. Is it healing? I don't know what I'd do in your situation. I'm lucky that my mum has Ben all week and she spends SO much one on one time with him - more than I do when he's with me

Kris, Yay, your move is so close now! I'm glad the boys really liked the place, that will make things go a lot smoother. Ben's vocab is amazing now. "That?" is his favourite saying. He wants to know the name for EVERYTHING. I'm guessing it's a precursor to "Why?" in a couple of years

Kaz, I have no idea what you should do about the 5cent coin! Ouch! Maybe if you haven't had a poo yet a trip to the doc might be on the cards. I don't know what they'd be able to do, but I'm sure they'd have some ideas.

Jen, yay on having your family back together! Ben's eating has been totally bizarre lately too. He will have days where he hardly eats anything and then days when he eats like a pig. Last night all he would eat for dinner was carrots and bread! Weird, weird boy! He still has his beer-gut though so I'm not too worry. From what I've read, it's pretty normal at this age. As long as you keep offering a lot of different options he'll take what he needs.

Us....we're doing well. Ben's back to sleeping through the night, I'm guess it was just his allergies after all. We had a lovely, restful weekend as a family. Going to the park, working in the garden and doing the grocery shopping for the first time in a LONG time Just lovely!!!

Hope you all have wonderful, sunny days like I am having!
