Good morning....very quiet in here. Although its my daily routine to pop on the laptop while making breakfast. This networking stuff makes it so much easier to surf the net in my house. I even go out on the deck to do it too!!!!
Well I went out for a hens night last night and we did belly dancing. I was having a great time, giggled a bit to hard though and had a bladder bouncing ooppssie and then cramped up for the rest of the night. Oh well I still had fun!!! Bubs has swapped sides and is now laying on my right, I can feel her little bum poking up! Still getting those stupid pains. Not long to my midwife appointment which is on Wednesday, so hoping to find out how far engaged she is....I probably shook her out of position last night!!!! Poor little girl.
I get my fix today, dh's cousins wife is coming to introduce us to her new edition...the first boy of the Howell clan this generation. He was only 5lb10 when born just under 2 weeks ago and she had him in 3 hours.... I just want to see how Olivia will go with me holding a baby and if she'll try and poke his eyes out like she does with her dolls!!!!
Talking of dolls, I must go and quietly get her rag doll and soak it in bleach...she has the blackest face from being dragged everywhere. Even bleach doesnt get rid of most of it. Hope its not too cold for drying today!!! Otherwise I will have to stick her in the dryer and Olivia is mortified by that!!!!!
Ok enough of my rambling, I need to go make breakfast have a great day
Oh I'm having a yuk day! Kris, Mel and Kel did you find your 2nd pgs harder on your body than your first? I don't seem to be handling this one as well as I did with Ben
Today I'm puffy, I felt like I was going to be sick earlier, I was starving this morning and now my groin is really painful!!! I even asked a friend to go down to the loo (ladies' are on the next floor down) with me because I was feeling so light-headed at one stage. Geez, it was never this hard with Ben's pg!!! I'm only 21 months older surely it can't be age-related!!!!
Urgh, anyway, I can barely concentrate and BB went beserk on me when I tried to post last time and ended up opening 38 new internet windows for me, so I'm going to cut this short.
Sorry I have been mia, been a tough few days. We're all sick. Lily is on the mend, though is still having slight fevers (about 37.5 this morning). Poor Liam can't handle all of the saliva and snot his little body is making and is constantly choking and coughing. Lily is waking 4-5 times a night as well and I am buggered. I'm not sleeping well though. Last night I was so tired and went to bed at 8pm, but couldn't actually get to sleep til 10.30, then Liam was awake at 11, Lily at 12.30, Liam at 1.30, then we got a little sleep, then Lily 3am, 4am, DH up for work at 5am and Lily up for the day at 5.30. That's what the last week has been like. Needless to say I am buggered. And over emotional, have been feeling down, cranky pants, etc...though today has been a good day. I have been productive and feel good for it!
It's mine and DH's wedding anniversary today, 6yrs. 11yrs together last week. It so doesn't feel that long. We arent' doing anything special really, noone to babysit Though we went to dinner with the kids on the weekend. I guess that's the evolution of our relationship though.
We went up the coast the other day too to see my dad, on the spur of the moment, it was really nice, and yep, Jen, I thought of you a bit late notice to visit though.
Dis, yep, Liam's pg was tougher than Lils. I always put it down to being pg so closely together. My body never recovered properly...
Ok gotta go, LIl's awake. I hope everyone is well.
Did some shopping today and got a new tv...was going to order our couch and get a treadmill but ran out of time as my dad came over for a visit...Talk about retail therapy!!! So going to be super broke soon though - LOL!
Having a few pains tonight probably from all the walking today but no real sign bubs is going to make a move soon...happy to wait a bit longer though!
Boys are well - Dylans sleeping super well as is Louis other than waking up from the occassional bad dream so am definitely happy there that I'm managing a bit of extra sleep...
Mel - The belly dancing sounds like lots of fun! Sorry to hear about your pains though...hopefully it's just your body getting all ready! Oooh I wish I was cuddling a little newborn - will be interesting if you get any pains - I remember when Cindy had her little girl 8 days before I had dylan and when I would cuddle her I got super braxton hicks!! Must have been all the hormones in the air! How did Olivia go??
Disgirl - Sorry to hear your not feeling great...Ummm...second p/g wasn't too bad as I was still teaching dancing and everything but this one has taken its toll much more...I really think for me that it's because I'm way more unfit...each p/g I've had a bit more nausea though which is for no good reason though! Also, you'll be more tired etc cos you've got a little one to run after!
I had a period around the same stage as you when I felt like my body was going to fall apart...thankfully though I got past it and have felt quite good for the last couple of months! Hopefully the same happens with you!
Kel - Big hugs Kel...sorry to hear you're all so sick and not getting any sleep...Hope things settle down soon. Happy Anniversary! Thats fantastic! Bugger you can't go out...it does end up getting that way after having kids...you'll have to make up for when bubs is a bit bigger!
Mel- yep am finding this a bit harder...especially with a toddler. Also a lot more pressure down there, I agree with Kel- maybe not enough time for the body to heal between pregnancies. Rest up.
Kel- big hugs to you. You lot have been sick lately, I hope everyone clears up soon. And I hope the whole sleep settles down and you can get some.
Kris- Olivia was fine with the newborn. I think coz it moved and made noises, not like her dolls which she pokes and prods!!! I didnt get any pains.... Glad the boys are sleeping better. You and your retail therapy!!!! Make sure you rest up. Hows the new place going anyway??? Are you enjoying it? And how is it being in a totally different area?
Hey Jen and Von and anyone else I missed
We finally have the cameras packed. Last night we did belly shots in the same position as we did with Olivia and the same pants....different top though. I am a little bigger, but a lot lower. Getting up to the toilet a bit more at night. I think that pain i have been getting is a combination of nerve pain and full bladder!!! My nipples are starting to have burning sensation and are leaking a little...other than that...nothing! Off to our neices 4th birthday party today,
Mel, thats great Olivia was good! I'm sure she's very excited! The boys saw a newborn the other day and while Dylans not that fussed - Just knows its a bubba - Louis is quite intrigued..I think he'll enjoy it more this time and like helping me out! He already keeps saying how he's going to teach him to walk! So cute...
Yeah, the new place is great! We are loving it! and I've coped with the move a lot better than I thought...getting used to being in a new place and really, haven't noticed any change from what I originally saw friends/family! It's just a bit of a bigger drive now but no big deal. Not sure if I'll feel it more when bubs arrives though...Should be fine though...
I think we'll end up regretting the retail therapy...probably should be more worried about having some savings in the bank but Michael and I are hopeless with that...we're both the youngest in our families so I think we're both a bit irresponsible when it comes to money - LOL! In saying that we are paying a little extra off our mortgage so that feels like compulsory saving anyway...
Gosh...I've always been so bad with belly shots...I think there's a couple of me a couple of days before I had Dylan and one of me about 20w p/g with Louis...so haven't been organised that way...at least there's lots of the kids - LOL! Good on you though - would be great to compare! I'll have to get dh to take one...
Bugger at the pains...maybe it's your pelvic floor muscles?? I was told that if they're weaker they don't cope as well with the weight of bubs by the end...I'm getting up about once a night to go to the toilet as well...
Have fun today!
We need to do some food shopping - we have nothing and haven't been in nearly 2 weeks! I assume the supermarkets are open? I always get confused with cup day as to whats open and closed...
