Hey Mel, yeah she's ok..not sure if I'd recommend her...I'm not quite sure what you can expect from a cleaner but she doesn't really dust everything and doesn't clean the arcatraves (sp?)...She's nice enough though and it is definitely great to have someone coming in cleaning while I play with the kids! Might be worth looking through an agency...I'm not sure if they cost that much more and may do a more thorough job....not sure...
-
Kris - with cleaning ladies, I think you really need to let them know your priorities. For my lady, I've given the bedroom high priority, with mopping the floors as a "must do".
We had a weird night where I had a huge tanty of Pip's to deal with. While he was ill, I let him eat whatever (bad mistake) and he reverted to drinking milk only. Now his tummy's paying the price - constipation. I wanted him to eat baked beans to get his little bowels working again, a bit of a flush out and an hour later, I won. Took him having a kicking, screaming, biting at me attempt for him to give up and eat - then he ate the entire tin! And it wasn't a teeny tiny tin either!!! Anyhows, it worked and today there were 3 pooey nappies :) Thankfully at CC so I didn't have to deal with them!
Kris - I like shopping with someone if they actually interact? DH may pay but in a bored, doesn't want to be there, doesn't actually listen or look or comment kind of way. Doh.
How'd the kinder orientation go?
Mel - how's little R? Maybe it is tongue-tie ... or maybe not?
Anyhows - I should go to bed. Night all.

Hello All.....
Well we just got back from playgroup xmas party, what an exhausting time! There were so so many kids and all the younger ones Beau pulls and sits on and the older ones head/chest butts and tries to hug to death - he made a 3yr old boy cry!! None of it is his fault, he just doesnt know better yet, but its hard cause he is as big as the 3yr olds!!!:p
I hope he sleeps now as long as he did yesterday, 3 and a half hours!!! Woah! It was awesome!
xxx to everyone
-
Hi!
Jen - Wow - sounds like a bit of chaos at the party! I'm sure he'll get the hang of being with other kids soon...Ooh I hope he has a big sleep for you as well!!
Kaz - Yeah, I think your right...the cleaners been this morning and I asked her to wipe down the arcatraves and she did...
Gross...I hate baked bean poos - LOL!
Ooh I don't like shopping with dh either for the same reason...also because he won't let me buy as much as when I'm on my own - LOL!
Louis' Kinder orientation was great!! The kinder is fantastic - the outside play area is so great - they have chickens and herb gardens and lots of play equipment...I'm very excited for him to go...it's only 1 arvo for 2 1/2 hours but he'll love it!
We're all good here...Ethans woken well and truly from his sleepy first weeks and is making up for it! Very unsettled and up usually once through the night for a couple of hours...I've been bringing him into bed with me cos otherwise I won't get any sleep! He's not liking his day sleeps either but he's having a good one now cos he's in the bouncer out in the loungeroom with all the noise...
Better go and get some washing out...it's a beautiful day here!!
-
am listening to olivia in her cot, screaming like a cat and kicking the walls, all because she doesnt want to go to sleep but is soooo tired....oh its just got quiet.... and rebecca is sleeping soundly in my arms coz she wont sleep anywhere else. b/f is still a night mare...oh and shes not tongue tied, we had it looked at coz olivia was. my nipples are stinging and my boobs are huge. during the night my top was soaking so needed a change....bed sheets could have been too but not at that time of night. was up for bec at 1 and 5am, both taking an hour to finish and up for olivia at 4am as dh didnt hear her!!!
Rebecca has the worst nappy rash and screams every time i change her. Its bleeding a bit too. I wash with cotton balls and luke warm water and have put on sudo cream, sigmacort, pawpaw, bepanthan.....what else!!! She poos with every fart and grunt. Poor kid.
Have had a crappy few days with unsettled bubs, no sleep during the day. Managed to get Olivia out of her pjs at 1030 this morning, me am still in mine!!!
Am having second thoughts about having xmas lunch at our place with adams family. Just think im not doing grea and dont need the extra pressure. Although my sil mentioned to me that she had to do it when her dd was only 2 weeks old....gees thanks for the support!!! Plus I wasnt around then anyway. So am going to get dh to ask his mum to have it at her place. Then my mum rings me last night and suggest that my side and adams side have it together. I dont know about that. i find that a bit strange...does anyone else spend xmas day with both sides of the family at one sitting?
Ok, just needed to get that out....might go sleep.
-
Big hugs Mel...
You and Becca don't have thrush do you?? We went to the mchn on Mon and she said Ethan has it...I"m going to take him to the dr for a second opinion though as the medicine doesn't seem that great...
We don't seem to have any symptoms but she said it can be painful for bubs and can give them a sore bum as well...also if your nipples are sore..?? Probably isn't but just a thought...We use desitin cream from the chemist...works a treat on the boys...
Ethan poos all the time as well...can't wait until that settles down! LOL!
For sure you need to offload xmas!!! That's silly to put yourself under so much pressure and who cares if your SIL did it with a 2w old...you poor thing...The last thing I'd be wanting to do is host xmas with a newborn...
In regards to sharing xmas with both sides...our family does but only when it's out our house...so when I hold xmas I invite Michaels family, if my SIL does it she invites her family... etc...works out well and of course we all know each other well by now anyway...
Hope you manage to get a nap!! I can't have day naps so have been going to bed by 9-10pm every night! Luckily the boys let me sleep in until 8am this morning...god knows what Louis was doing in all that time - probably keeping Dylan occupied cos he was still in the cot...I'm very lucky that way that they keep each other happy! LOL!
OK..Ethans waking...chat later!

Hi girls, we've had a shocking week here. Poor Ben had strawberry yoghurt on Sunday and we have been paying ever since :( See, he has been having strawberry jam and baby/toddler strawberry yoghurt so we thought he'd be alright with normal strawberry yoghurt. Didn't even really think about it to tell the truth. Apparantly there are more strawberries in normal strawberry yoghurt. We had a rash, vomiting for two days and the diahrea (sp?) is still going on :( Poor little guy has been so lethargic, all he's done is watch DVDs. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is driving me nuts  Anyway, he's only had one day sleep in his big boy bed and chucks it when we try to put him in it any other time. We haven't pushed it since he's been so unwell, but next week is going to be a bit yuck.
He has just woken up from a 3.5hr nap and has eaten a whole tin of baked beans (must be the magic cure all huh Kaz? :) ) which is by far the most he's eaten all week so DH and I are thrilled. He seems to have really, finally turned a corner :)
Kaz, glad you and Pip are on the mend, and that you managed to avoid the three day care poos!
Kel, yay on Lil finally sleeping through!!! I hope you have had more of those nights since.
Kris, Your boys truly do sound gorgeous. I get the feeling that all three of them are going to be the best of friends growing up.
Mel, Geez you're having a rough time. I"m all for bfing, but sometimes the stress just isn't worth it. My sis had to give it up after two months after her third case of mastitis. Her and bubs were much happier after that. I think it's good that you've given yourself a deadline to get things sorted, as Jen said, much less stress that way.
Definitely get rid of Chrissy day! No way could I have Chrissy here and I don't even have a newborn!
Jen, sounds like the Chrissy party was a doozy! Beau sounds like he's a big boy!
Sorry it's short and sweet guys, but my time is severely limited (more so than normal!) right now. I've had some problems with the site too, I tried to log on twice earlier this week and got no love so hopefully whatever the problem was is fixed.
Take care :)

Hi all,
I am around, just really busy. I have been keeping up with reading posts, but just no time to respond much. My MIL is here from Qld since, until Sunday, so just entertaining her and also lots of Christmas stuff going on. It was an unexpected visit, cause her aunty passed away so she came for the funeral (don't get me started on this...none of his family have visited in 10yrs we've been together, she couldn't even come to visit for her 2 grandchildren's births, but for the funeral of a distant old aunty...who was 80!!! Grrrr!). She's staying at my mums house, LOL!
Anyway....we are well, still plodding along, Lily has another cold, I'm trying to keep Liam well, though I don't really like my chances, Lily is all over him most of the time! She loves her Li Li. No sleep in this house still, I am so tired! I just had a half hour nanna nap with Liam and the kids are still in bed, though Lily is coughing like no tomorrow, so I don't think it will be peaceful for long....so I should go and make dinner.
I hope everyone is well and has a great weekend! :D
-
Just thought i would pop in and say hi!!! Been busy, made the hard decision to give up b/feeding coz Becca was not taking it and I couldnt do the expressing anymore as Olivia was missing out and i was spending so much time with the whole feeding process it was driving me to tears. Rebecca had such a bad rash on her bum that wasnt responding to anything, she was pooing constantly and it was liquid and bubbly. I took her to the gp and he prescribed a combo of creams. That was yesterday arvo. I also put her on formula exclusively then too. By this morning her bum looks so much better and shes not in pain. Am glad I have made my decision. So i am trying to dry up my milk. My boobs are huge, not sore though. I have been using cabbage leaves for pain relief. I got a script for Parlodol which is supposed to dry up milk but after taking it I felt unwell. So I have gotten onto the cold and flu tablets coz the psuedoeffidrine is supposed to suppress milk production. Hope it doesnt take long.
Well Olivia and I are off to see the wiggles today and dh is home with Becca.
-
Hi!
Mel - You definitely have to do whats right for you and to keep your sanity! Good for you for making the decision...I'm sure you'll be able to relax a lot more with the girls without having to worry about the feeding side of things...I hope your milk dries up quickly for you...big hugs!
Kel - Sorry to hear Lily's sick again...How fun having your MIL there..NOT! LOL! Hope you enjoy your day tomorrow after she goes home! LOL!
Disgirl - Oh no! Poor Ben...Good luck getting him to sleep in his bed next week!
Well...as for us, I survived a night with the kids on my own...Louis stuffed around and wouldn't go to bed though and Ethan was up until after 10pm unsettled...grrr! Managed to get a little xmas wrapping done after that and collapsed into bed about 11pm only to have Dylan cry 20min later and then Ethan feed an hour after that...Ethan fed again after that around 4am but luckily he settled back down quickly so I could get some sleep...So glad Dh is coming home tonight though! LOL!
We're off to the Wiggles tomorrow at Rod laver - so excited, and then after that will go and look at the Myer windows and maybe Crown casino if they still have the display there...we'll see what we can be bothered with - LOL! It's going to be a big day thats for sure!
Enjoy your weekends!!
-
The wiggles was fantastic Kristie, have fun tomorrow. I did get a parking fine though coz the main car park was closed and it was pouring so we parked on the nature strip!!! Oh well, we had fun anyway and it was good for some me and Olivia time. We still have to put the xmas tree up so will do that after her nap.speaking of which!!! I think i could do with one!
Hugs Kel- poor Lil, hope she doesnt spread it to Liam.
HEy mel, kaz and jen, ok think my eyes are telling me something.
Oh by the way, dh got me a new laptop yesterday...its wonderful!!!
-
Glad you had fun Mel! I'm very excited...I took the boys last year and it was great! Bugger at getting a fine - I don't blame you though! LOL! Hope you manage a snooze!
Managed to get some bikkies made and some pressies wrapped today so I'm happy...Dylan and Ethan are asleep and Louis is doing a puzzle..I'm sure it won't last for much longer but I'm enjoying it! LOL!
-
Mel-so glad you came to a dicision with b/f remember it is not the end of the world if you have to switch to formula...With dd I put so much pressure on myself and she would just not latch on and if she did it was for a second until she pulled off screaming..so I decided I would express by hand for the next 13 months..ended up with RSI in both of my wrists..oh the things we do...with James there was no way I was going to do that to myself again and brought all the bottles and formula just incase...but thankfully he got the whole latching on thing..there was no way I would have been able to express for him ahving Natasha to look after as well...
jen-I wish I could have a day to shop alone lol....it is almost impossible to do the xmas shopping with Tash following me around....
Kris-how was the kinder orientation day????I can't believe that is is Natasha's last year of kinder next year....how did you find the other mums??? the kinder Tash goes to the mums are all stuck up and in the year she was there none of them have aknowledged me yet the all turned up to Tasha's party cause there were ponies...
mel-bummer on the fined..we are going today and I am stressing about getting wet since it seems to keep raining off and on
kel-Sorry to hear Lil is sick...James is always sick he has tonsilitas yet again but thankfully I have been able to keep the rest of the house healthy..although i feel i am getting a saw throat today
dis-How's Ben doing now? I hope much better..
Well we are going to the wiggles concert at 4pm today so have the kids down for a nap am hoping to go to the casino afterwards to see there christmas show I went with work and it was rather good the kids would love it..Am also hoping to take dh to the kings all you can eat buffet there he has been wanting to go for years now..I don't think his chances are good though because we have just had late nights everyday this week and the kids and myself are just stuffed....while the kids are having there nap i guess i should try making dinner so I have it ready for when we get home just incase...
-
Hi girlies,
Mel, I bet it's a weight off now you have made the decision to stop bfing. I know it was for me when I was feeding Lil. All the time it takes to express, bf, bottlefeed, sterilise bottles.....I wouldn't have been able to do that this time, not with Lily too, she's too full on. And you just don't have the time with two.
Glad you had fun at the wiggles!! Poo about the fine though!
Kris, my MIL isn't too bad, and she was staying at my mums so I didn't have to deal with her all day! I think I would have gone a bit batty if I had though....she did stay here last night though and came here and helped me with folding the clothes and washed up the dishes after dinner, so maybe it wouldn't have been so bad having her here!
It's always the way with being on your own with the kids, I always have a tough nights when DH is at work on a night shift. The kids sense it!
Hope you had fun at the wiggles too!
Von, wow, another wiggles concert-goer! Hope you had fun too, lol!! Hope you got your nap and night out too.
Well, we are all sick again...Lily is sooo generous with her germs! I have had a nanna nap with Liam this arvo cause I felt so crappy. AF is back already and today was my first day and I was just feeling soo off, and with a cold, yuck!! I still feel like I could go to bed soon too, so thats probably good, I wont be in bed at midnight, only to wake with Lil at the crack of dawn for the day tomorrow, not to mention that I'll undoubtedly be up a thousand times otherwise!
We had DH's work picnic today. It was pretty nice, a beautiful day. Though Liam got a bit sunburnt. I didn't put sunscreen on him, thinking he's too little for it (did any of you use kids sunscreen on your bubs when they were so young? Lil was really sensitive to it at his age so I couldn't use it on her. I haven't tried on Liam thinking he'd be the same) and that we'd just sit in the shade. Which we did mostly, but I guess the few times he was out in the sun was enough for his delicate white white skin! Poor little monkey's head is burnt. His hair looks like a halo when he's in the light cause his head is so red, LOL! Lily had a ball and ran daddy ragged! She's sooo full on. My girlfriend said she didn't realise she was so bad until now. It was nice to be acknowledged and to have people know how much of a handful she is for me especially DH! It's so hard to run after her with Liam too now. I tell people she's 'energetic', 'busy' and 'inquisitive' (read non stop, into everything monster!!) and they're like 'oh yeah so is....' or 'Oh well she is at that age' they just don't understand!!
Anyway, I'm off, might go to bed....
-
Kel, that is NOT Liam in your ticker is it? Bugger about you all being sick again! I won't be one of those mum's who say "Yeah, Ben is like that too" because he totally isn't. Sure he's energetic, but he's not into everything, isn't a climber or anything like your little girl is. Think of all she must be learning though :)
I put sunscreen on Ben from day one. I used the Banana Boat (I think?) rollon that comes in a pink roll-on thingy. Ben has sensitive skin and gets eczma, but we never had a problem with that. DH and I are as white as they come and Ben is almost translucent so we didn't want to take any risks.
Von, how were the Wiggles, did you have a good time? Did you make it to the buffet?
Kris, my DH works night so I'm alone with Ben from midnight on most nights. It's true what Kel said, the kids sense it. Ben seems to go through rough patches waking up right when DH leaves, but gets over it in a couple of days.
Did you guys enjoy the Wiggles?
Mel, good on you for making a decision about breastfeeding. I bet you're all feeling much better about it now :) Has Becka's bottom cleared up totally? Is Olivia enjoying having more mummy time?
Hi Jen and Kaz!
Us, we're doing better! Ben is OVER his allergy, although he still has dark circles under his eyes and has lost so much weight. We're going to have to work on building his little beer gut back up I think. We had my dad's family Chrissy party on Saturday and although it was nice, I didn't have as much fun as I've had in the past - it was far too hot (34) and I got heartburn from lunch. Ben got some good pressies though, but after he opened the first one and saw it was something to do with Thomas, he wasn't interested in the rest! Thank God I've got him some Thomas stuff for Christmas!
He's moved into his new room and his big bed and is doing really well. We cheated a bit for a few sleeps and I'd go in and lie down next to him, but last night and this morning he's gone down by himself! He even knows that that room is now his and if you tell him to go find something in his room he goes in there and not into his old room. For bum changes I tell him to go into the baby's room and he goes into his old room :D Couldn't have asked for it to go any smoother!!!
We're struggling a bit to get back into a routine though, his bedtime hasn't been earlier than 9pm since he's been sick. I'm hoping tonight will be much smoother and EARLIER.
I'm pooped after a morning at the park so I'm going to see if I can catch half an hour's sleep before Buster wakes up.
-
LOL, sure is DG, he's 4mths old on the 17th. Isn't he a spunk??!! :D
-
Hey All...
Just read thru everyones posts and caught up on all the yoghurt, breastfeeding and parking fine tales....no time or energy to post as I have a cracking headache and reading the computer screen is not helping!!
Love to all, :kissing:
xxx
-
Hey All,
Jen- hope your headache goes away quickly.
Von- good to hear from you. Thanks, am happy about my feeding decision and now we can get on with things!
Kel- yep, he is a spunk!
Mel- hope you get bens beer gut back up. Poor little mite.
Kris- how did you go at the Wiggles?
US- well am quickly typing before Olivia wakes up. Things are getting easier...at times, but am enjoying it now I swaped Bec over to FF. Shes now drinking most of her 120ml bottle and sleeping better too. She so awake now and has given me her first smile yesterday after I was tickling her face and gooing at her...she was probably laughing at me!!!! She over her birth weight now, 3.6kg. We have all our appointments made for the hip specialist next month, so am hoping its all good. Her foot is also much better and we just have to keep on with physio.
Olivia has been sick. Shes on ABs. Her tonsills were all pussy and she was running a temp. I think she also may be getting the back molars, shes dribbling and has her hand in her mouth a lot. She also started biting down on stuff again....
Yesterday morning she wet through her nappy, so I striped the cot and didnt make it up. So by the time her nap came around, I put her in her toddler bed and shut the door. Well....what a horrible arvo we had!!! I could hear her in there playing, so after an hour I went in there and she was laying on the floor playing with my stethascope. SHe had done a poo, so I changed her and put her back to bed. With a firm "NO" she got out, so I put her in the cot and shut the door. She screamed and screamed. I was so tired and hoping for a nap, I put her in my room and shut the doors. She kept screaming and did the whole tantrum thing. She almost pulled the basinett down too. Eventually she got onto my bed and fell asleep at 3...usually her wake up time. We were both asleep til 5pm and she was So grumpy. I put her to bed a bit later last night but she didnt sleep til about 930pm. Thats why shes asleep now!!! I really want to get her into her bed, but I just dont know how and I'm not going through that again. Might have to look at getting another cot for Rebecca......
Anyway, should go see if shes awake, dont fancy another wet through!
Take care
Love Melissa

Good Morning....
Oh Mel, what a day/night you had! I dont have any advice regarding the big bed for Olivia, I havnt even contemplated that yet with Beau! How long can Becca stay in the bassinet for? 3 or 6months? I would let it go for a while if you can or maybe try and take a nap with Olivia on the big bed? (If the chance ever arises that is!) i guess anything out of her routine, including the cot, is going to end in tears - maybe Kris has some suggestions??? Glad you are feeling better now you are bottle feeding Becca and she has a full tummy and is happier too!
Dis - Hope Ben is feeling better now, how strange that he can have jam but not the yoghurt? Goes to show the stuff in the jam isnt real huh? How cute with him and the nappy changes in the bubbas room, what a cutie! Did you get an earlier night last night?
Kris - Isnt it always the way when you are on your own? Trust you to wrap gifts after! Hilarious!
Kel - Liam is a little cutie too! Sorry Lil is sick and infected you all. Hugs that Lil is such an adventurous little girl, I know people will try and say "at least she is inquisitive" or whatever, but we all know better! Cant imagine Beau on speed, which is what she sounds like :D And with Liam now too.....far out! Glad your MIL wasnt as bad as expected - at least she stayed elsewhere!
Kaz- Hi, hope Pip and yourself are doing better x
Von- Mmm xmas shopping was ok, never as good as you hope though when its so so so busy! Hope you have had a chance to get yours done solo too.... Nice to hear from you! Expressing for 13months? Is your medal in a cabinet???? Far out, you are one determined mumma!
Us - we are great, I am going through this real lovey period with Beau, he is smothering me with cuddles all the time and really clingy and finally learnt to say "Mum-mum" again! He is learning lots of new words and his favourite is "bread" atm! Just got back from the shop this morning, it was so busy, the lines in Kmart were 10 deep and it was 8:30am!!! He got a chocolate doughnut to ease the pain of queing....his sleeps are still ok in the day 1and a half to 2 and a half hours atm which is ok - he has been waking at 5:45am but as this house is so light in the morning!! Not complaining tho Mel, Kris and Kel....I know you are getting much less than any of us.
Ok I am getting pushed off the chair by someone....
-
Well, I finally made it back to the computer, feels like weeks, but it's only been a couple of days.
Jen, yup, just proves that there is basically NO fruit in baby yoghurt or jam. Oh well, we learned our lesson and know for sure that it's no strawberries for quite some time. He had a teeny bit of pineapple from a pizza last night and so far no ill effects so it looks like he might not be allergic to pineapple at least - we were told he might be since apparantly they are linked?!?!?
The shops here weren't too bad early yesterday. As we were leaving it was bedlam, but at 9am I managed to get a parents with prams spot near the front so it couldn't have been too bad! Hopefully I won't have to venture back to them until after Chrissy now.
Mel, I'm sorry, I have no advice on getting Liv to sleep in her toddler bed. I'm still dozing off with Ben most of the time, although he will go off when left alone by himself occassionally. He's really out of whack with his routine/schedule and is overtired a lot so I'm happy to keep doing it for the time being. Besides, we're going camping for a week next weekend so that will be the end of anything established between now and then!
So glad to hear you and Rebecca are much happier now!
OMG Kel, yes he is a little spunk! I thought for sure it couldn't be him. Far out time has gone so fast. I mean, I'm supposed to be having a baby in five weeks' time! Better give some serious thought to that hospital bag that still hasn't packed itself!
Us, well, we're all over the place. I've almost given up on any sort of routine. We're up until ridiculous times at night, sometimes waking late sometimes early. Late naps. But at least he's eating like a pig already and my MIL and SIL who saw him last night for the first time since he got sick, wouldn't believe that he lost weight  The beer gut is back! I honestly don't know where he puts all the food....well I do, the dirty nappies are back as well
As I mentioned above, we're going camping after Chrissy and we're spending Chrissy Eve at the inlaws so I don't think I'll try too hard with getting the routine back in place. It'll all go out the window anyway. He's happy enough most of the time, just grumpy when he first wakes up (he sure is my son!). He's totally obsessed with "Goccer" which you might know as soccer and insists on playing a million times a day. Won't play with me if Daddy is home, I get ordered off the field  He's also still obsessed with Thomas and Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. Not Mickey and Donald, but the girls for some reason! Thomas is proving useful in the morning as when it's on tele I duck in for a peaceful shower! Thank God he's getting a bunch of Thomas DVDs for Chrissy I'm sure they'll be worth their weight in gold once the bub is here.
Oh dear, I'm rambling, sorry about that. Feel like I've been deprived of computer time lately. Can you believe it's only a week til Chrissy? I can't wait!!!
-
Oh, we've just had a lovely day :) Had my mw appt this morning and she said bub is behaving very well. Has been engaged on and off, bp and hr all perfect :) She is also positive about not needing an episiotomy and the super-vac this time, I just hope she's right! I really, really love having the same mw for this one as I did for Ben I think it's going to make things go a lot more smoothly.
We also had a mother's group Chrissy thing this afternoon and we had a ball. 8/10 mums and bubs turned up which is pretty good considering so many have gone back to work. Ben was really having a blast with all the girls (the two missing were the only other boys!). It was really good to see since he's always been a bit of a loner (shy like Craig) and only recently has started showing an interest in other kids. One thing I didn't like though - the little girls taught him to scream! Argh! I hope he forgets by the time he wakes up from his nap
Out of my MG of 10, six of us are either UTD or already have a second bub! Geez, we're a keen bunch aren't we? It's kinda like this group here :)
Feeling good again today :) Looking forward to a few cooler days over the weekend though. Ben has been kept inside out of the heat too much this week - he needs a run around outside!
-
Mel- glad to hear that you had a great time at mothers group. Also is good to hear about your mw experience...not too long to go now. As for the squealing...my girl is so good at it...shes doing it now!!!!
Hello everyone else!!
Its a beautiful day here today and I am doing washing...bedding, towels clothes, all in hope that it dries before the wet weather comes back!!!
I went xmas shopping last night on my own, oh it was so good, but I still havent finished. Olivia and Becca are doing well. Am loving the smiles I get from Becca now.
Well, have a great weekend.
-
Hi girls,
Jen, hope you're feeling better now. I've had a few headaches lately too, I think it's hormonal (AFA is back already) as well as the sleepless nights! Hey maybe you're pg????
Yeah, Lil's a monkey alright, and soooo willful. She just wants what she wants and theres little that will deter her. She's very determined and decisive, which are really good traits to have...as an adult! Not an almost 2yr old when mummy wants you to do what she says, LOL! It's the stuff of mighty tanties
Mel, I'm so glad that things are settling for you. It must be a great weight lifted. Sorry to hear Olivia has been sick too, I hope she's on the mend.
Don't talk to me about toddler beds...I have to try to get Lily into her big girl bed and I'm not looking forward to it! She will sleep in there with her Da, I haven't tried her on her own yet though...
Oh how I wish I could go chrissy shopping on my own! I haven't been anywhere on my own in months!
Dis, well I am biased, but I think he's gorgeous! So is my girl, I can't believe the comments I get when out shopping or whatever, as I'm sure everyone does, but it makes me so proud! And yep, time is flying wayyyyy too fast. You will see whan #2 comes. It's a bit sad, but you just don't have the time to sit and ponder your beautiful new baby like you did the first time.
Glad you've had a lovely few days. It sounds like being at home again is agreeing with you :)
As for us, we have been ok. Sleep is still an issue, and tonight I am buggered (should be in bed now, but I need some down time! Adn Liam only went to sleep 40mins ago). When DH is working I get next to no sleep. When he's home I am ok, he looks after Lily at night and gets up with her in the morning so I get a workable amount. It's the morning that kills me, getting up at 5-5.30am should be illegle (sp??!)
Lil is a monkey, though has been pretty good the past couple of days. Before that I was having a tough time dealing with her. We seem to go in waves. She is such a joy sometimes and such a character, then she does something monstrous, like getting a dining chair, getting the bread knife off the bench and bringing it to me while Im feeding Liam saying 'Nononono' to me....I guess at least she brought it to me, though she wouldn't give it to me and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw it in her hands.
I brought an ergo the other day, OMG! They are heavenly!! I carried Liam in it all day around Parramatta westfeilds (a biiig shopping centre) and couldn't feel his weight on me at all. Then I carried Lil in it on my back down to the shops for a few hours and again, it was great! I am in luuurve with it!!! LOL :D
Anyway I should probably go to bed or I'll never get any sleep. Bye all hope you have great weekends, and if some of you don't drop in for a while,
Merry Christmas!!!

Hi All....
Oh I did a post on Sunday and lost it - it always ticks me off so I have to wait a few days and try again:lol:
We have been pretty good, had a big family do at ours on Saturday, Beau refused to sleep before they arrived so went without a nap that day, he would bawl everytime I tried and same on Sunday, he seems to be going thru a "stage", its either being swamped with cuddles and kisses by him or me being hit and him whinging! One extreme to the other! I had to climb into the kids playgym at the shopping centre on Sunday as he refused to come out and his 9yr old neice couldnt lift him out, my dress went up over my undies on the way down which was a bonus for Xmas shoppers!!!
Von - Oh lord at Natasha and the bead, glad it came out eventually! sorry you are not well. I hope your Xmas shopping went ok. I am broke now after spending way way too much.
Mel - Mmm Becca's smiles sound super cute, hope Olivia is doing better on her ABs. How is the big bed going? Hope you are getting some sleep too.
Dis - Glad you had a great time at MG, freaky how many of your group are PG again or already have two! Good on you girls! Glad bub is doing well and you wont need another episiotomy, I cant beleive you are going camping! Hope you have a comfy camp bed, I agree there is no point in trying to enforce any routines back on Ben atm - it will only go out the window anyway!
Kel - No not PG, just AF for me too - it came back fast for you! BF and everything, usually it keeps it away for a while! Your Ergo sounds fab, i will have to investigate that when we get PG:shhh: fingers crossed again, I wanted one when Beau grew out of the Bjorn - how heavy is lIl? I think B would be too heavy for the weight limit now though!!
Hey Kaz and Kris too xxx
Best go - DH is coming home early, dont want him to think I sit on the couch with my laptop and watch Oprah all day!!!!
-
Hi girls, just a quick one as Buster's down for a nap and I'd like to join him!
All going well here, I'm crazy-excited about Chrissy tomorrow, it's going to be so fun and it starts tonight with Christmas Eve dinner and sleep over with the in-laws and all Ben's cousins on that side :)
Twobob has been as active as ever, but if I remember to move slowly and waddle it's not too bad. He/she needs to stay put for a week and a half more and then we'll be happy to meet him/her.
Basically, I just popped in to say MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all, as I'll be gone all afternoon, evening, night and all day tomorrow and then Boxing Day we're packing before leaving on our camping trip on Saturday. Will be back on the 3rd, but we have a party on the 4th so who knows when I'll be online.
Hope you all stay safe and drive carefully if you're traveling. I'm sure all the kids will get spoilt beyond belief (Kris would love to see pics of your Chrissy tree with all the pressies under it!) and hopefully tantrums and meltdowns can be avoided.
Take care!
Mel

Hey all, just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hope every one had a great day yesterday and to those who are going away, be safe.
Us- well xmas eve was horrible, I was in such a bad mood!!! Senario----- put Olivia in her toddler bed twice, would sleep. Eventually get her into her cot after some negotiating. thinking she was asleep, I go in to check her. I open the door and there she is looking at me with her hair and face and cot and sheets and dolls all covered in a 250gm new jar of Zinc and Caster Oil cream. It was so funny, until i had to clean it. Thats when i cracked it. It took hours and her hair is still oily.
Shes also been cracking some big tantrums over the past week and she just screams and screams and drops to the floor. Christmas day she even resorted to head butting the wall and floor. I dont know what to do with her some times. the other day she was at the shopping centre and luckily mum and my sister took her...she chucked the biggest wobbily for them. Mum said she completely understands why i cant shop with her. And shes had 8 kids and she hasnt seen anything like it!!! AAhhh. Fun fun!
Rebecca is going well, shes smiling a lot and even had a little chuckle at Olivia.
Well i should get Olivia up from her sleep. Take care Love Melissa
-
Wow its super quiet in here. Last night I had a fantastc night sleep. Rebecca fed at 7pm and slept til 130am, guzzled a bottle down, then slept til 6am, another feed then is still asleep. DH got Olivia up and fed for me and I managed to sleep in til 8am:)
Rebecca is smiling heaps, she loves being tickeled on the face and upper body. Shes 6 weeks old today...how time flies!
Olivia is geting there, her tantrums have been a bit better, probably because the weather is nicer and she c an play outside all day!!!
Tomorrow I am going shopping with a girlfriend all day, so mum is coming over to help dh look after the 2 girls.
OK...Becca is waking.

Hi Girls,
LTNC I've been so busy with work and Phoebe I've not had the time to be on. We are all good, she started walking back in August and now she is running around crazy like lol She is a real chatterbox the only time she is quiet is when she is asleep. We are spending our first week apart at the mo she is down on NSW with my parents visiting her great grandfather. It broke my heart watching the car drive off up the street with her in it.
I hope eveyone had a lovely Chrissy and Congrats to those who have had their bubs. We are thinking about TTC#2 but its just a theoretical at the mo no practical hehe lol
-
Welcome back Tiffany, good to see you are well and Phoebe is fine. I know that feeling of watching the car drive off and waving see you later!!! Breaks your heart.
Both my girls are in bed, so I thought I would check to see if my baby bonus came in....aahhh no luck. Hopefully it will be there in time for shopping tomorrow! Although it has already been assigned to the house.
I found a 2 year old molar in Olivias mouth this morning:) May be an explaination for the hidious tantrums!!!!
-
Hello All!!!
It feels like forever! Cant seem to find the time to get on here when DH is home - I think he makes double the work for me LOL!
We had an ok Chrissy - over 5hrs in the car (from the NSW CCoast to Blue Mountains) and told my family we WONT be doing it again! Beau was so good though - watched DVD's one way then we kept him awake at my bro's so he crashed the whole way home then went to bed normal time. We will have something at ours next year:D
Have been busy on the house and looking after B - DH is building our front fence which will be AMAZING when its done as I dont have to hawk eye Beau as much when we are out there and today we sat and watched him under the beautiful massive gum in the shade and it was lovely!
I am ovulating so we have been doing it like crazy the past few days too
Mel, I hear you with the crankiness, I am so glad DH has seen it first hand the past few days as he thinks Beau is always happy! I spied an eye tooth when we were wrestling on the grass today so maybe teeth are the culprit here too? He has had a sore red tip of his willy too - anyone know when I am supposed to start pulling it back and cleaning it? We havnt had any probs so far but this has made me wonder?
Tiffany - Nice to hear from you, I cant imagine being without Beau for a whole week! Must feel like a part of you is missing. Enjoy it though!!
Hi to everyone else big New Years kisses!!!
-
Happy ovulating Jen :)
Happy new year everyone
-
Jen-That was so funny about having to climb onto the playgym to get Beau even funnier about the dress going up?I don?t think I would have that problem as I rarely wear dressers?hoping that the new year brings you a BFP
Mel-How did your xmas go I have never been heavily pregnant at xmas time and I thinki would struggle if I was lol?you must have been doubly exhausted
Kel-damn that your dh had to work over xmas at least you had your mums to go to
Kristie-hope you got threw the 500 plus emails
Melissa-I really feel for you with Olivia?s tantrums?Natasha was the same when she was this age?which is why James is such a blessing lol..Tash would head bang the tiles or wall until she bruised her head or on one occasion until there was blood coming form her head she used to chuck tantrums over anything that was not going her way and did not care where we were....oh it was a tough time?.thankfully now at 4 she no longer bangs her head but still has tantrums there just easier to negotiate with?
Us-we had a good xmas..the kids got spoiled from Santa and my bank account is now at zero not so good?.James is having a nap at the moment , first time all week..everytime i tried to put him down he would just scream until I gave in and got him up..oh I hope he is not dropping his day time nap so soon?I think he is getting his 2 year old molars since I have noticed he is biting on his fingers a lot and having very smelly pooey nappies his sign of teething
Hope you all have a happy new year?OMG I can not believe it is another year gone..
-
Hello girls,
I am still around, just busy!! Happy New Year to you all, I hope you all had a great time last night! I had a very average night, in bed by 10.30!
Well, we are doing ok. Liam and Lil are both well. Lily is having a tough time with bumps and bruises, she's had a serious bump on her head every day for the past week! Yesterday was by far the worst though and had ME in tears!! Poor monkey fell off the dining chair and really smacked her head on the tiles and almost broke her neck! I can still see her doing it in slow motion now...:(
She is talking non stop, and repeating everything she hears. She got fairies DVD's for christmas and all I hear all day is 'fairh fairh, fairh fairh' and she points to the DVD's on the fridge....I've watched them that many times it's not funny! I already know the songs off by heart. I put one on in the morning, and one on to cook dinner and she pretty much watches them from start to finish, when normally I put on a DVD and she watches all of about 5mins of it.
Ok gotta go....hope you're not too hung over (for those of you who can drink...)
-
Kel-lol yep I know all to well how it is to watch the same dvd over and over again.....Tash got tinkerbell and i think i have watched almost 10 times already James however is not into tv although if i put the old brum episodes on he will watch that any thing with cars or dogs he is fixed...
Well I hope everyone else had a wonderful new years....I sadly stayed home and got drunk with a group of ladies from another forum..real party goer hey:lol:...although i must admit I am not a big new years celebrator....I think I will be around here a lot more now since the other forum I was with have just annoyed me for the final time..everyone here seems so much nicer and friendly anyway I should have realised that a long time a go I am just a little sad that for the past 5 years i have got to know a lot of people and have even became IRL friends with them as well...oh well will happily move onto bigger and better things..ie belly belly:p
-
Dont worry Von- I went to a bbq and Olivia got ferral, so the girls and I left at 1030 without daddy. All the way home she screamed for her daddy and Becca cried all the way home too. So I had 2 screaming girls, luckily Olivia was asleep within a few mnutes of going to bed. Gave Becca a feed around 11, watched the start of fireworks on TV and was in bed about 1205!!!! Not much fun, but I didnt mind.
Olivia has been ferral again today....must be getting another molar. Rebecca has been fairly unsettled too, needing/wanting to be held and also feeding 2-3hrly. Shes 6 weeks old so must be going through a growth spurt.
Hope you are all well
Love Melissa

Hello All and a Happy New Year!
Not much to report on the New Years festivities here either....DH and I sat in our back patio room and watched the lake and the fireworks we could see across it at 9:30 and I think we were in bed with earplugs in place by 10:30 too! We were buggered as we have been doing to fence and lots of outside work. I think new years is a bit of a palava too!
Woah Mel, that sounds a pretty horrific drive home, you sound like you handled it well though. Beau has been a little feral too like Olivia, DH is off golfing today and I think he is the worst of course - at least he went down for a nap with no tears. Sounds like Becca is definately having a growth spurt, maybe more chuckles on the other side of it?
Von - I hear you on the not dropping the day sleep, Beau has been crying more and more when I go to put him down for a nap, he had one yesterday but was up til 8:30 last night as a result! I dont understand why people in forums are rude/weird/nasty (of course not this one we are fabulous!) - I have read some things in others occasionally and wondered why people bother if they arent going to support others?
Us - Went to the chemist yesterday to get some Hydrozol for Beau's willy, it has cleared up now and not red anymore, he has had a rash around his shoulders too for a few days, little bumps, it looks like a heat rash so I am not too worried as he hasnt had a temp or anything. They have a nurse at the chemist on Thurdays so I might go see her for some willy cleaning tips!!
Ok I am laying on our daybed that I just finished painting completely veging, I am off to look at my fav home decorating blogs!:D
-
Hiya,
We had a REALLY quiet new yrs too. Actually I did nothing different to any other day....in bed early, DH at work...just another day for us!
Von, you did more for New Yrs than me, LOL! Sounds like a good time to me, I owuld have liked to spend the day with freinds.
Sorry to hear you've had a falling out with the girls in the other forum. But spend more time with us here....we're a great bunch!!!! :D :D :D :p
Mel, yep I've had the both kids screaming car trip home too. It's the worst! Lucky Olivia went to bed easily for you though.
We've had unsettled days on and off here too. Liam sets Lily off and they are both feral some days. But if Lily is in a mood Liam isn't usually set off by her thankfully! Lily has been really clingy though and wants cuddles all day, which is really lovely, but I need to pay Liam attention too! I'm lucky he's pretty easy going though and is quite happy laying in the port a cot and playing with his mobile.
Jen, glad to hear Beau's woodle is ok! I'm worried about Liam's too, I never know if I wash it right, LOL! I've never had to look after a woodle before....hehehe! Lil's got a heat rash on her tummy too, I'm just putting sorbalene on it at some nappy changes and at night and using QV oil in her bath. She got the same thing last summer too and it gets worse on really hot days.
Sounds like you've been a busy girl working on your house! You deserve a rest!!
Well, we have had a quiet few days. DH is working alot lately and I have been struggling a bit with little help from him. He's off for 6 days after a night shift tonight though, so I'm hanging for a break!
Ok gotta go I think my princess is awake...hope everyone is well.
