    Good morning!

I just lost what I posted! So quickly now as I'm outta time, mum is about to walk in the door..

Gigi - Kolding is not very close to Copenhagen, it's on the countryside, but then again, its a small country so maybe about 2 hours drive. If you decide to come, you better let us know!

Caro - we'll be in syd, adl and brisbane..my family is spread out these days. But I am originally from sydney. I don't want to think about all those flights we'll be doing in july..its going to be verrry interesting. We travelled with Al to Aus when he was 7 months, and it went fine..and Mattias is a lot easier to handle so far.

    Big Hi to everyone else.'

ps Krysalyss - sounds blissful there.

krys: yes i have just started being able to breastfeed in public. You do get the knack of it and the art of covering nipples I am comfortable with it now, although there are times of sheer embarassment when Mason is thrashing around and milk and nipples are going everywhere!

We have dtd, but I didnt have a vaginal birth.

Mason slept in 2 lots of 5 hour stints last night! yay

Goodmorning everyone (it is still morning right?!),

Well, Lil is sleeping so I have time to write!! Its her first propper sleep before 11ish for ages!

Danni, I know that all that matter is that she's happy (or should I say we are). But still I can't help but feel a little guilty. Although my girlfriend put it well the other day, saying 'Can you tell in the playground' -meaning can you tell who's been bf when they grow up? Which of course you can't. But I still have it in the back of my mind the bf is better.
Your lucky with Mason's sleeping. I'd be so happy if Lily would only wak once in the night. Last night I was up 4 times! Not all for feeds though, she's a bit restless at the moment at night, I think cause she's got the sniffles.

Melissa, I hope Olivia gets better soon. It must be hard having her so sick and being so little. I know I'm worried about Lil and she's just got the sniffles.

Kristie, I can't believe youre brave enough to go away with two bubs! I was worried enough going to mums for a few days, and she just lives five mins away form us! LOL!
I have begun the routine thing today and so far so good, mind you the day is young, hehehe! I hope I can get her into some sort of pattern. It would make life a bit easier.
My house is a bomb site too and I haven't been anywhere! All I want to do when Lil is sleeping is relax, so I do! Hehehe... hence the bomb site!

Kaz, that's one good thing about them being on the bottle huh- DH can help with feeds. I kicked my DH out of bed the other day to do a feed for the morning. After being up 4times, once for two hours, I needed extra sleep!
Don't worry about not having done your thankyous I still haven't sent mine either and Lily's 5 weeks old, LOL!

Caro, sorry to hear your having a hard time. I am feeling alot better these past few days, thanks. I can sympathise on the sobbing though. I was like that for a few days and was so worried I'd get PND because I was just so miserable and dreading hearing Lil cry more. I hope you have a good support network and are taking care of yourself. Remember that if you're not healthy bub is more likely to be miserable too. I know it's hard not to stress out though, especially when they are sick or crying at you and you can't fix it. ((({{{{BIG HUGS }}}}))) for you.

Krysalyss, no bf in public for me, I don't have a good technique and Lily thrashes around so no modesty! We do bottles in public.
My DH and I are yet to DTD. I have been thinking about it. I think my stitches are now gone but I am still a bit scared!

Ok gotta go my princess is awake.

kellie: iykwim about feeling guilty. I had it stuck in my head that my baby will be breastfed and thats that. well as you know he had to have 2 bottles of formula last week and i was a mess.

But your friend is completely correct. No one will ever know.

Howdy folks. Only got time for a quick one. Hazel is sleeping but have lots to do.

We had a bit of an adventure today. It was Hazel's 4 week check at the health clinic and I got up at 6am when DH went to work to make sure I was ready in time and had time for a shower. Luckily I did because I realised that DH had taken the car seat with him to work and I wasn't able to get hold of him DOH!! So Bubs and I got the train! I had her in her new Bubba Moe sling, thinking there wouldn't be room for the pram on the train in peak hour (and I was right) and we had a pleasant walk too. So all was well that ended well. Her check went well, has put on a reasonable amount of weight and everyhting else a-ok. Talked about tweaking the BF and increasing my milk flow a bit- went and got some oats, good advice Caro- and will express a bit in the morning for the evening feed. Feeling pretty good and my nipple is fine now.

Promise will do personals soon, would have yesterday but computer misbehaving.
Lots of love and thoughts x x

    Evening all,

Mel - look after yourself and Olivia. I hope that she gets better really soon and that you are feeling better in yourself too. Hugs!

Kristie - yay on the sleep! what a little champion you have. The pimples are a nightmare aren't they! I remember feeling so horrified when Ella got them so badly, it was like she had acne. But then, it was like they disappeared overnight one night! Mimi hasn't got them (yet) but I am sure she will...She is feeding really well actually - 4 hourly, although I got the long sleep this arvo (from 1pm-6pm) so I can't complain there.

Deb - don't you hate it when you lose posts! Will definitely let you know if we get over there. We are hoping to in the next 12 months get back to Europe but we shall see.....

Christy - yay on Hazel's check up! glad it all went well for you and that your nipple is better! Makes you feel like a new woman doesn't it....

Danni - apparently some babies "posset" more than others (as in chuck up excess milk). Ella did it quite a lot but Mimi hardly does any. so weird how they are all so different.

caro - used the J and J tonight so will see how we go - I am sure it will help, although I am assured that the outer skin will peel off in the next week or so and she will then have the lovely soft baby skin underneath....

Krysalyss - growth spurts are full on aren't they. I firmly believe in them (as in that they exist). Re BF in public - you will get there babe, I promise. once you get the hang of it you can seriously do it anywhere and anytime. Re DTD - it took me 10 months to feel 100% "right" after Ella and after a much worse situation down there this time, I am not looking forward to trying! Thankfully DH is being very supportive...

Me - well, Mimi had her 2 week check today - and yay, I have another eater girls! she is catching those big greedy boys in this group - has put on 355g in the last week and has cracked the 4kg mark! So thrilled as I was worried about the feeding and that she was getting enough, which now I know she clearly is! So very happy. Had a good night last night - 10-2-7.30 so only the one feed through the night which was great. But then I had both girls awake at the same time wanting breakfast, which is hard.....it's all about being more organised I have decided and maybe having something prepared for Ella to snack on while I get organised. So have started having fruit salad ready for her ..... it was a full on morning!

Anyway, sorry if I have missed anyone but have to get in and prepare dinner. Have a great night everyone.

    Gigi xx

Ok girls, I really don't know how you do it. The most of have been on here is prob 3 times and I just can't keep up - you all can chat lol

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well or as best as what can be expected.

Luke is doing great - we are still on formula but have started him on the breast twice a day and uping it to 3 in the next day or so. The thrush is still around but not as bad and thankfully my bb's have calmed down (mind you one day I would look at them and think oh the thrush will be gone soon and then the next day they look worse for wear - so who knows). One thing I'm having trouble with is Luke falling asleep on the breast - not sure how to stop him - I've tried tickling him, pinching his toes, taking him off and reattaching. Due to this it takes us about 1 1/2hrs to feed where before the thrush and the cracked/sore bb's it would be about 40mins. He doesn't fall asleep on the bottle when he has been having formula or EBM. Am off to see the health nurse next week so will ask her for some tips as well

Take care girls and will hopefully get on her a bit more lol

Oh by the way - Go the Maroons!!!

    Hi!

It's my birthday today!!! All I want is some sleep but I don't think it will be...LOL! Dylans still so unsettled - for eg this morning he was up at 7am he had a feed and play and was fast asleep in my arms by 8.30am...5min later he's up screaming with a burp and he's actually been a little sick - this has continued until 9.10am where I've put him in the swing thing and he's now been asleep for 10min....hmmm....
Had a massive day yesterday going to a play centre with Louis and then having some of dh's family drop in in the arvo...Plus Louis wouldn't have a day sleep at all so was up ALL DAY! Grrrr!
    Anyway, enough of my whingeing!

Kaz - Wow at getting a whole nights sleep - I'm very jealous!!! Good for you though! Thats great that Patricks doing so well!

Danni - I look forward to catching up and meeting Mason next week! Sounds like he's sleeping great!

Caro - Thanks! It is my mission to walk down to the chemist today....LOL!

Krysalyss - with bf in public - I got to the bf rooms or if I'm out for dinner or something I just take a muslin wrap and pop it over my shoulder so no-one can see anything! Also I have a cloth nappy handy for when he breaks off and it starts squirting everywhere! Yep - we've dtd! It was ok...that was last Monday and I've held off doing it again but it's our anniversary tomorrow so looks like I'll have to be up for it again!!! LOL! Have a great weekend!!

    Deb - Hi!

Melissa - Big hugs! I do that all the time! But I'm naughty.....LOL!

Kel - The house is finally tidy but I refuse to do housework on my b'day! hehe. Although I am doing washing...hmmmm. Good luck with the routine! It will all get easier as time goes on and they spend a bit more time awake!

Christy - Bugger about having to catch the train - glad it all worked out though! Glad Hazels doing so well!

Gigi - Yeah at 4 hourly! Dylan had an extra feed yesterday but I don't think he really needed it and all it seems to do is make him more windy...
Yeah he's a shocker at the moment but it should clear soon hopefully...
Thats great Mimi is doing so well with her weight gains!!! Yeah mornings can be tough! Luckily Louis isn't fussed when he has brekky - he's happy to wait for an hour or so if he has too!

Iona - Glad you and Luke are going well! Have you tried changing his nappy in the middle of his feed?? That may wake him up enough to feed some more...

LOL - I started this early this morning and I'm only finishing now. Dylan lasted 20min in the swing and then I held him until his feed at 11am....Just put him down but here he goes again..I think I'm going to lose my mind!!!!!

    Hi everyone,

Well we have had a pretty good night. Lily and I were alone for the first time since my small meltdown a week ago and we were fine. I was a bit nervous because she'd been very unsettled and sooky with her sniffles and she had been vomiting up half her feeds. I think because of the mucous going down her throat (yuck!). I've tried using the saline and aspirator to get it out but I can't get much, so she's very snuffly. So she's wanting to be fed every 2 1/2- 3 hrs and she wants more breast milk, she sticks her face between my boobs and rubs her face in there- it's very cute.
I have given Lily a a bath and she played in front of the heater for a while- she loves to have her nappy off. We actually had a nice bath this time. SHe usually screams blue murder in the bath, especially when I get her out, but she didn't even cry then, just a few whimpers. She did sream when we were getting dressed though, she really hates it, especially taking things off over her head for some reason...??
We fell alseep on the lounge at about 6pm last night and I slept until 11. I put Lil to bed and she slept until 12:30! I fed her and we went back to bed until 4:30 then woke at 7:00 this morning, she had about 60ml from a bottle then slept again until 8:30. And now after a big feed she's sleeping again....WOOOHOO! I just hope we don't have an unsettled arvo as my DH is on night shift again tonight...
I have actually managed to do two loads of washing (folding and putting away dry clothes as well!), wash the dishes and clean the kitchen properly...what a morning. This routine thing just might start to work.
Anyway might go and prepare something for lunch and dinner....hmmm what to have...

    Have a good day ladies!

    Kellie.

It has been monster poo day today! amazing stuff! Apart frm that all is good. Am doing some (unpaid) work from home and have lots coming up. A bit full-on but Iggy is just happy hanging around with me listening to music etc. Its amazing how you can work, sing and play baby games all at the one time when you have to. Weighed the milk monster today - 5.33kg but that was with a nappy and jumpsuit. We call him Iglet sometimes cos he is such a big eater and makes so much noise when he does (like Michael - Caro!).

    Hi again!!

I can't believe I've had time for two posts!!!!! Lily is asleep again (for the first time in weeks) for an arvo snooze, I can't believe it!! She usually has only one or the other, or none at all just cat naps, so I'm excited!

Caro, no offence taken, and I really don't like co-sleeping at all due to the risk of squashing her etc... but yesterday we just fell asleep. I am usually really good with not going to sleep, even when bf her in the middle of the night I never go to sleep. I must have been super tired.
Lily is getting too big for her bath too. We have an all in one bath change table as well. I think we'll have to put it into her room and just use the big bath to bathe her in, our laundry sink is too small too. Oh well, things really don't last long with a growing bub do they?!

Kristie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope your day has gotten easier and that you got in a nanna nap!
Lily does the thing with sleep too. She can look so dead to the world sleping in my arms, I can even get up from sitting and then when I put her down in her cradle her big eyes pop open like she wasn't ever asleep! She's lucky she's just so cute or I'd be extremely
    p!$$ed off otherwise, LOL!!

Ok gonna go I have run out of things to say, hehehe!

    Hi all,

Iona - Mimi does the falling asleep thing too - it's driving me mad - mainly happens at night though, and it adds time on to those feeds doesn't it! Good luck - let me know if there are any good tips from the health nurse!

Kel - Mimi hates being changed too - screams, and it feels like she could wake the neighbourhood when she does it in the middle of the night. sounds like you've had one of those great days, where everything has fallen into place and you've got heaps done. good for you! You have inspired me to pop on a load of washing....

    Kristie - HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE!

oops - Ella just pressed something on the computer and accidentally posted before I was finished!

KV - Hope you have a great day. LOL at milk squirting everywhere in public - I know the feeling! A girlfriend in NY sent me a "hooter hider" that covers your front and it's got some boning in the top so you can see down at bub and they can breathe - greatest invention. sort of looks like an waist apron in shape - use it all the time. They come in fantastic fabrics too. hope Dylan settles for you. I wish Ella would wait for brekky like Louis! LOL, she comes up to me in the morning saying "nummy? toast? grapes? bix?" constantly until I get it on the go for her.....

Caro - you are so right about 2 - I am just trying to get myself organised over here so that I can manage them both! Ella is such a busy toddler, just non-stop into everything and can be quite tiring!

Hi to everyone else - hope all is well with everyone.

    Hi!

I've bought the infacol but haven't used it yet...we shall see. He's actually having a great arvo sleep. Perhaps I should be grateful that the most of his wind etc is in the morning??!! Still...it's so hard to deal with sometimes.

Caro - Thanks! It is definitely frustrating - Dylan will go down ok it's just that he wakes 5-10 min later screaming - grrr! I suppose at least I get that bit of time to quickly do something though...Yeah at Michael's weight gain!
Re: nails - i just wait til after a bath and peel them off....

Hmmm - I fall asleep on the couch with Dylan all the time!! More accidentally when I'm feeding but he was so unsettled this morning that I just lay down with him as well! Probably not the best thing but if it saves my sanity...also I feel very confident that I'm not going to squish him or anything!
I think I'm going to have to bring him into bed with me thought so I can get some sleep at the moment...seems to be the only way he settles...

Krysalyss - Wow your doing well to be doing some work...Wow at the weight!!! What a big boy!!

Kellie - Thanks! Yeah at Lily having an arvo nap!! No I didn't get a nap in but I feel ok...kind of! LOL!

Gigi - Thanks! Dylan is basically asleep for his night feeds - I like it that way!! Hehe. I just let him have a 5min feed...he still seems to sleep for a decent length of time....
I'm with you guys on being super busy with 2!!! No point wanting time to myself thats for sure!! LOL! Ella sounds very cute asking for her brekky!

Danni - Thanks!! Bugger - hope he sleeps well tonight!!

    Dinner time!
