My good fortune with sleep still continues, so I am forever greatfull to this change We had Olivia weighed today for her 3 month check up. She put on 1kg in a month and now weighs 5.2kgs. One more sleep till the specialist review and then hopefully we can get her measured as well.
Kaz, I tend to play with Olivia, feed her and then she drifts off to sleep. If she wakes up and I am busy, I will leave her on the floor to play with her A fram, or put her in the swing. Sometimes she wont settle, so I will carry her around. I cant carry her in a carrier atm due to her harness, but I will as soon as it comes off. Same with tummy time, cant do that atm, but will do that too. As for baths I do it every other day because she can only have sponge baths, but will soon do it every night(harness again).
I get out of my pjs as soon as i get up, even if she is crying. I talk to her and say things like mummy has to get dressed and then tell her about the clothes I put on. She still cries, but if I dont leave her, then I wont be able to get dressed, eat breakfast or scratch myself for that matter, some times. I usually can see her or I talk to her when I dont have her with me, just to let her know I am there. She is now starting to lay in her cot and entertain herself for short periods too (gives me breathing space). Plus, she is the eldest in this group, so shes starting to be able to do a bit more...iykwim... Make sure you get hubby or anyone to look after bubs while your showering, sometimes I bring the bouncer into the bathroom and I now shower at night coz df is home....like now, hes entertaining her while I catch up on the net
And if your stuck for a shower, maybe I could help you out... you live in Melbourne...I live in Melbourne!!! Its hard but it gets better. My baby is alot more funner and a bit more independant, which is happened only in the past week really. Good luck.
Oh I am rabbitting on again....fingers crossed for tomorrow, will let you know.
