YAY VIC AND NAKITA FOR THAT AWESOME WEIGHT GAIN!!!!

we also don't have baby oil here, but our bathroom door is always shut and DS2 is never alone in there anyway!

    (damn, someone drank my cuppa!)

veygas was back to 2 hourly feeds last night, but he had a really good day yesterday - the kind that almost makes me feel like I could get started on my business again! He is also being alot happier to be by himself now (in the vibrating rocker!) but if it's not vibrating, he cracks it hard!

( my toast is cold too!)

We got a nice little sum back from centrelink (I think about $2,000), also the 30% childcare rebate (around $900), plus DP got about $4,000 back from tax (but seriously, it doesn't make up for all the time he is away from home ) So we lumped half into the credit card and half into savings ...

Beth seems really hungry at the moment too, but trying not to feed her too much because we have had problems with overfeeding her so being careful!
Mummy Tummy - Beth seems to have stopped screaming re: the dirty nappies, she still lets me know but its not the end of the world IYKWIM. So thanks for all your help and advice. Beth's eyes are like Jett's - navy blue but i think they will go brown like the Bear's. Mine are green.
Morning Beema, squiddy, MM, Mel, kel, sash and everyone else!

his world with cold toast hahaha actually it's always cold coffee too. As for locks on cupboards, well as ya all know we got them.

We now at night clear all bread off bench and sauces off table that son likes.
We make sure lock under sink is on.
    Lock in corner cupboard on,
We check the stove ignition switch is off
Check bathroom cupboard door has lock still on.
We check the stool is still tyed to bathroom cupboard door.
We take all fruit off table and in our room at night.
We hide the hand bag as on top of fridge just isn't good enough!
We remove all kitchen chairs either out of kitchen in our room or upside down on kitchen table.
We take both study chairs out or room and one upside down.
We make sure alarm in on pantry cupboard is on.
    Fridge alarm on.
    Freezer alarm on.
We empty out all water from water filtration system. Making sure no liquid is left out or else it's all through carpet.
All mobile phones as there is 4 we and hubbie own and DD owns one too come to bed or else son plays with them too.
All pens and pencils get taken to our room at night also.
We check both cupboards in boys room zips are at top of cupboard so 3 year old can not trash room in morning and alarm is on his toy box.
We check that the alarm on toys box is switched back on switch.
Check bells are on door handle so we hear him getting up.
We also make sure the 7 year old personal private things are up high and his school bag is away or the 3 year old trashes it.
Then we do our general lock up of lights out down stairs, car locked, doors all secure and kids all covered up in bed.

At moment we have one cupboard empty and its in a washing basket in josh's cot filled with food.

the 3 year old will attempt anything GRRR except nuts he is usually pretty good with that and started climbing up on things so from this morning we started to move the high low peg high chair out of kitchen too as he was snapped on that but hahaha didn't realize i just put alarm on the freezer and he was standing on the peg high chair with it in low layed back position and opened freezer and dadda caught him

Ya see he got snapped this week eating frozen crumpets and attempted cream cheese philly too.

This is why we didn't hesitate in throwing out the oil as he would have drunk that if ever got hold of it i didn't know it could kill no blinkin warnings!!! how are we ment to keep our kids safe when they are liek myn eat eat eat eat eat he is 15 kilo and turned 3 in early June. Its a mission and a half.

On school days we have to get kids to take there lunch out to front porch as soon as its out and leave it out side in thier bags till they are ready to go or he will eat thier lunch too.

Morning right back at ya, as for dirty nappies it doesn't bother josh being in a wet one or poopy one. yesterday OH MY GOSH!!!!!! it was extreme he done some bigies as he normally does in a row. It was all over his leg clothes back and my dress pants undies and couch. He done about 3 biggies in a row then fell asleep about 2 mins later i went to move him and oh man.

OMG Squidipa, you certainly have your hands full with just your 3yo! Does he get up to this sort of mischief when he is in care as well?

Pixie - when Veygas wakes up that often, he usually just snacks for about 5mins and falls straight back to sleep! And he is definitely awake, cause he cries and his eyes are open when I check on him! Sadly, nothing wakes him back up after that snack though!

OMG Squidipa - I can't believe you have to do all that stuff - what a troublesome little monkey you have there - bet he's cute though

I have trouble enough getting my kid to eat - I wish he would raid stuff.. LOL... he loves eating plain bread though... and biscuits.. he loves biscuits...

I'm such a bad mummy today - got fluffy mail (nappies for those not in the know) and they chucked in a small packet (22g) of natural confectionary company lollies. Since i'm on a diet - I let Aricyn eat them all.. pmsl... he LOVES them - its the only lollies he eats (and the only time he gets lollies - when I get them free from fluffy mail.. lol)

Well.. its day 3 of diet... so far so good...

yeah each day we learn some new thing and we have to try another thing.

nope he is great at daycare mind u i pack a full lunch box. He does this in the early morning like some times when its dark. He is a sneaky boy very quiet. He does some times well every time if not watched get into stuff if left alone like if i go hang washing i have to take him or go toilet or go down stairs or on phone. He eats and eats. he has poor circulation and we need to be so much on the ball he doesn't get over weight as it makes it worse for him.

    Hi everyone,

    Geez I'm slack...

BUT, I am going to catch up on this WHOLE thread (possibly in one go, assuming Jazz stays asleep, shes in the sling so i have a good chance that she will!)!!!

Squidipa, so glad Josh is gaining weight! You mentioned (about a week ago...) origin and their magazine deal... i got that about november last year, better homes and gardens WOOHOO have been getting the free subscription since february! Thought there must have been a catch but nope, no extra cost, I was stoked lol. We pay between $200 and $300 every 3 months for electricity. I heard about the baby oil thing, I think I'll just make sure it is with all the other bathroon stuff when the time comes that she can get to it and swallow it. I really hope your 3yo stops eating and trashing everything soon, for your sake, what a nighttime routine!
When it comes to ex's I know how you feel, Shel's ex is constantly hounding us, like she can't let go, she even text Shel on mathers/fathers day to say hey happy mothers day I mean WTF! She still texts Shel and rings. When a car drives past I am so worried its going to be her, she is the one who pushed Shel through a wall when Shel and I got together. We moved and didn't tell her where we were going or anything, and she went to our old house and tracked down people who would know where we lived Anyway, I would be VERY angry at MIL if she did something like that. I would be angry at Shel if she didn't say back off (and was very angry for a very long time until she did eventually say it).

MM, your little man is such a cutie chubba! His cutie pie cheeks match Jazz's! LOL!

Melsta, welcome! Was wondering if my little one was gonna be a 08-08-08 bub, but no luck lol. Love her name BTW hehe!

Vic, so glad you have been able to feed without the shields, hope your bruise has gone away OUCH that sounded painful! And YAY! for the weight gain!!!!! Lol, I do baby talk to Jazz, well actually I just talk pigeon to her, cooing, just repeating back what she does, we have some good pigeon chats LOL! and a bit of baby voice talk, can't help it LOL! Shel's mum tried to tell us all these things, like being in the wind will give babies wind () so she always covers her face with the blanket when we are outside, WHETHER ITS WINDY OR NOT!!!!!! and I just want to throttle her. She practically suffocates her. And Shel's sister, OMG I will seriously kill her one day I think. She acts all high a mighty, like shes the best mum in the world, and says "oh don't bother doing that it doesn't work" GRRRRRRRR. Ignore ignore ignore is the best advice I've ever gotten!

MT I know how you feel about the c/s and circumstances this time that reduce chances of vbac next time. :hugs: I don't tknow what to say, or else I would be able to say it to myself as well, but just wanted you to know that I know what you're going through. I do the same think with expressing and bfing, Shel does the night feed of EBM, hey it works, some bubs don't handle going from boob to bottle, but if you don't have any trouble then do what works

Mel, i am also trying to diet... lost some of this baby weight before in gets to comfy on me!!!!! Got the Wii Fit last Monday for my birthday (which is next Monday 29th) and have lost 1kg, though I think I gained it back yesterday I made lasagne... I'm too scared to go do the body test!!!!!! And too lazy to play today (Jazz had a shocker last night... thats my excuse!).

Kel, Jazz has steel blue eyes, but the are snake skin eyes like mine (patterned, like those contact lenses, very usual according to my optometrist). I think they're getting lighter, can't wait to see what colour they end up! The donor had blue eyes too according to the profile, and my parents and siblings all have blue eyes so no surprises there. Also, bright red hair is coming through, so adorable (thats from me again lol!)! Jazz constantly has velcro baby days, and she just wont go down. Most of the time she's not whingy or crying, unless I put her down. She's quite content if I am holding her. THANK GOODNESS FOR MY SLING! Although I could try to build up my arm muscles and use her as weights I suppose!!!!

Has everyone had their 6 week checkup? I haven't haven't gotten around to it, plus I read they do an internal, well they f-ing hurt so I don't really want one! I really should get around to it, but am using the excuse that I don't have anyone to look after Jazz while I go... lol

Jazz is still smiling away. I think she might laugh soon too, she's been making cute noises, but nothing really laughy yet.

*small whinge* Shel and I had an argument the other night, apparently she is sick of finishing the dishes for me. When I cook dinner, I usually start doing the dishes, and when I serve I just wash as I serve so that nothing sticks to pans etc, and also so that after dinner all we have to do is the plates, and dishes don't build up. Anyway, my nights usually go like this - start dinner, start dishes, serve dinner, feed and settle Jazz while dinner goes cold because Shel is clueless as to how to settle her, eat half cold dinner, and then finish dishes THEN I can relax, well I have asked if Shel could finish the dishes after dinner the past week because I had to cook and then not even being able to eat what I cook when its hot. Ok, she does it. And then ONE NIGHT where she cooks dinner she chucks the *****s because she has to finish the washing up. Anyway, I'm probably being unreasonable, yeah I should have finished the dishes because she cooked but I just wanted a break. *whinge over*

Ok, and now to copy my post before I press post because I'll be stuffed if I have to write this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But at least those lollies are natural!! My 2.5yo will sit and eat a whole packet of them (or chockie bikkies if daddy is home! ) rather than dinner!

Well.. its day 3 of diet... so far so good...
Yay for your diet going well!

he has poor circulation and we need to be so much on the ball he doesn't get over weight as it makes it worse for him.
You know what, I take flaxseed oil capsules cause the tips of my fingers were splitting heaps (at any one time, I would have about 7 or 8 of them - thumbs included - plastered with bandaids cause they would split and bleed so much!) and I read that flaxseed oil may help that condition. It is a vegetable source of omegas 3, 6 and 9 and the bottle says it may help with blood circulation. The capsules are quite big (if you have ever taken blackmores pregnancy vitamins, they are the same size) BUT you can buy it from health food shops in a cold pressed liquid form. If he eats porridge, you can mix it in and you can't taste it (I tried it with weet bix but you can still taste it). Because it's natural, I can't see the harm in giving it to little kids ... PM me if you want more info!

thats quite interesting i might look into it, as long as he isn't to chubby we are good. When he was a baby, i would get strangers coming up to me saying i was neglecting my son and should rush him to hospital instead of shopping because i couldn't hold him without his legs going purple and splotchy. I would have to explain to every one he was fine but was scary when it first happened. I would have to be carefull the hair folicals wouldn't get infected to bad too or else the looks Ind stares comments behind my back were real bad.

leash honey - tell Shel to get her finger out of her goddamn ar$e and bloody help you around the house.

FFS - you can't be expected to do EVERYTHING.

Tell her to be nice and helpful or else I'll drive 20 minutes to your house and give her a mellie b!tch slappin and tell her to pull her socks up!!!!

MM, your little man is such a cutie chubba! His cutie pie cheeks match Jazz's! LOL!
He is a little chubba, hey?! People give me weird looks when I call him my chunky monkey!

And Shel's sister, OMG I will seriously kill her one day I think. She acts all high a mighty, like shes the best mum in the world, and says "oh don't bother doing that it doesn't work"
Diff'rent strokes! - what might be right for may not be right for some! (omg, I am showing my age here aren't I??)

Has everyone had their 6 week checkup? I haven't haven't gotten around to it, plus I read they do an internal, well they f-ing hurt so I don't really want one! I really should get around to it, but am using the excuse that I don't have anyone to look after Jazz while I go... lol
nope, and tbh, the first 6 week check up I had was after #3 - and he was 8 months old!! And I only did that because my GP arranged a referral to a gyno to discuss having my tubes tied!! Like OMG are you serious??? Thankfully the gyno wasn't so convinced! He said I was too young! hahaha But, yeah, I ended up having to take DD and DS2 to that appointment anyway! I just don't have the time!!

    Anyway, I'm probably being unreasonable
Not at all!!! Why should it be left up to you to do everything just cause you're a sahm mum?? My DP asked me the other day when I was "gonna start pulling some money in" with my business ... hello ... my printer is stuffed, can't do anything just yet ... plus we have had so much going on with Veygas's surgery and all ... it makes me feel bad that I don't have the time atm, cause I enjoy what I do and I enjoy being able to stay at home with my kids! But if I can get Veygas into a good routine in the next few weeks I'd love to start working again!

    *cough cough*

welllll.. I have been in a few fights in my time...

I can't stand it when people show disrespect. It absolutely gets my goat (see.. showing my age here too... )

If people's partners would just be nice, and HELPFUL.. then I bet there would be a lot less PND going on... JMO of course...

Oh - and I haven't had my 6 week check up yet - couldn't get in till October - but HEY.. I don't mind waiting for my pap smear.. LOL

ooh and i got a nice little surprise from the tax office today - DH said I should spend like $300 on something just for me - can't think of anything I want - more nappies!?! LOL

Sings "i'm a nappy addict.. short and stout... "

Geez.. think I've been a mother too long - starting to sing nursery rhymes with different wording.. thats just.... sad....

OMG!!! That is hilarious!! I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I often sing to Veygas (and to the others when they were babies) to the tunes of "This old man" and "Frere Jacques"!! The other night, I was singing to Veygas "You think mummy's crazy, you think mummy's crazy, yes you do, I do too!!" and he had the biggest smile on his face!

But then again, I change the words to lots of songs - "Hey there Georgie girl" becomes "Hey there, Veygy boy" (and was "Hey there Khaemy boy" to DS2!!) and Crowded House's "Better be home soon" Becomes "Daddy's gonna be home soon" (cause he gets home around 7.30am!)

    Ok, so I'm officially crazy!!!!
