Weigh in day is tomorrow, dunno if I will take him.... I dont really like that nurse
There are some scales in the parents room at Robina Shopping Centre I might take him there and weigh him myself instead - either that or take him to PCG's place and weigh him (she has a set of baby scales) LOL
He has been extremely grizzly this afternoon. I am assuming its a bit of backlash from his shots yesterday. His cry is so awful to listen to.
Leasha now I understand what you went through with Jasmine, almost had me in tears aswell. I hate hearing them cry.
He is finally asleep though in his swing, gave him some panadol about an hour ago so I am hoping that will at least tie him over for a few hours, he needs the rest.
Hasnt had alot of sleep today.
Anyways must go and eat while I have the chance LOL
Have a good night everyone!
Ruddy-boy anounced that low to middle income families are gonna get an extra $1000 per child (one off payment) on 8 December ... there's a whole thread on it here
Woooohoooo
MT and Squidipa - hope you guys are eligible for it, what a relief that will be for you for Xmas! :)
Oh on another note Kye is STILL asleep in his swing. Has been there since 5pm lmfao.... he just doesnt wanna wake up.
His last feed was at 3:30pm and it wasnt a full one either, I wanna wake him up to feed but dont just in case he gets upset and unsettled again.
Hmmm what to do
Sorry no time for personals, just skimmed through the posts, been a crazy day.
Dad has his heart surgery, went well, best case scenario really :) Repaired the Heart Valve (Replacement wasn't required), they managed to do the whole procedure as keyhole surgery, it took longer then expected but we managed to keep busy until the Surgeon called. He is in ICU, with a mountain of tubes, needles, cables and other life saving paraphenailia attached to him, but they are hopefull that he will be out of ICU on Thursday.
Ok I must be off I am exhausted and need sleep!! Night xx
Hi everyone,
Bleh. Had a shocking afternoon, my boob went bright red again, cover almost the whole thing, and my nipple started going blue/black :o Went back to the dr who doubled the antibiotics. Couldn't feel an abcess which is good but my whole boob is rock hard and doesnt go soft with feeding. :( Fever back up to 39.6 last night, and back to the drs this morning at 10.30. Feels better though, but the red is still there.
I think we've gonna save *most* of the $1000... Came at the right time as we just had to fork out $500 for the stupid car grrrrrrr. Right when rego is due. I think some will go on Christmas too though... as Shel said last night, it IS her first lol. Even though she wont remember, we will!
Well I start back studying next month. Got my offer this morning. Had to go through QTAC as I want to study externally but can't through my uni, so am now through USQ. Couldnt get an internal transfer which sucks but oh well. I got in to it anyway. Now the question is FT or PT? I guess I farta$$ around on BB so much I could probably do FT, especially while she is so little and sleeps 2-3hours at a time during the day. Would be harder when she gets mobile and is awake more so could go down to PT if I am not coping huh? Hmmm, thanks for helping me make my decision PMSL!
Vic, so glad to hear that your dad had the best result on his surgery. It is so scary, but the technology they have is so amazing isn't it? That they can repair a heart valve through keyhole surgery... He'll be just fine, and out of ICU before you know it!
Shell, hmmm well wasn't on last night to help you make that decision lol but Jazz had a record sleep yesterday evening too! I was able to sit in the bath for half an hour and then eat dinner and then watch TV before we turned off her swing to wake her up. In the end we had to go change her nappy, she was still pretty much asleep so we gave her the EBM bottle and snooze, out like a light. Startled herself at 11pm though, probably hit herself in the head  (hehehe, yeah like that smilie! lol), so had to get up to help her settle. Slept through til just after 5. I didn't wake up either, no fever last night (heres hoping I've seen the last of them for now!), so got a good almost 6 hours sleep!
So sorry to hear about Kye's needles. They totally suck, I hope your poor little man is doing better, the crying is the worst  We had to give Jazz panadol, I just couldn't let her keep screaming her head off, every time we moved her, her leg would move and she'd scream, plus the fever. :( Sigh, and we have to do it all again in December...
Rachel... my biggest fear is that something terrible will happen to Jazz like what is happening to your friends DD :( I am in tears for that poor family, I just can't imagine ever losing her, I am so sad about what they are going through... I hope she isn't in pain. Poor little angel :(
Leasha i so know where your coming from on your biggest fear i think in the back of hubbies head and even myn we thinking could josiahs weight gain issues be something like this? Obviously we just dont know. Today is the official weekly weigh n and these numbers count big time hope all is good.
I hear ya on redgo myn is blinkin expesive and with hubbie changing daycare centers its sorta like hard at the moment. Gonna have to wait another week to pay it im slowly saving the dollars up. Hubbies at two centers at moment but his hours arnt up as we need them to be.
Good on ya sasha for good sleeping thats great and same with you leasha we all need a brake hey. Sometimes joshie is just so content i end u thinkign its time for feeding and force them on him or he wouldnt eat much at all yesterday was only 4 feeds total time over day was 144 mins give or take a min my log book is not infornt of me. But thats no sleeping on the boob eithor.
3 poop's yesterday thats o made my day just after i prayed too yay.
Hubbie has what i think could be a nerve exposed in his mouth. Went in room last night to find him with his hand on his jaw so offered him some more pain killers.
Weigh in day so wish us luck dunno what i am after i would like 100 grams even tho the weekly goal is 150 and last week we fell 40 grams short of it. But with the weight loss i dunno what i should be expecting. Josh has been more quieter on his cries i think he has a sore throat just because he will have tears but no load cry. And he can YELL!!
Got table to build today about 4 loads at least of washing to fold and about 6 loads to hang out! Dishes to do and boxes to sort out joshies cot still had cupboard food in it in a basket maybe empty a bit more DS has been very much behaving in mornings no putting chairs up playing with foods or in cupboards or playing with water he is being VERY good!! We do tho keep the alarms on tho with nuts in cupboard we have to :)
Its good news that the op went well VIC :)
Leash - I studied from when my first was 2 months old, right through the second and third, but have deferred indefinitely atm!! You'll be fine hun, you do eventually get used to it!!
Vic - glad your dad's op went well. Thinking of you and your family!
Sasha - we get FTB A, so yeah, guess we should get this $1k per child - it will come in handy cause we'll have just paid rego too!! lol!
Veygas slept through 10 hours last night (he woke at 4am for a feed after going to bed at 6pm!) so that 3 nights in a row he has had THE BIGGEST sleeps! I don't know whether to be happy or worried!
We got him a swing the other day and it's so cute when he falls asleep in it! I took some pics but haven't uploaded them onto my computer yet!
Have a good one everyone, gotta make dinner cause we start kindy orientation this afternoon!! (can't believe I've almost got 2 at school! DEF have to have more!! )
Back from dr, the mastitis has turned into an abcess. Am now on 2 tablets 4 times a day :o Monday it was only 1 tablet twice a day, yesterday they increased it to 2 tablets twice a day... now I'm double double. Luckily the lactation consultant was at the pharmacy (she does wednesday morning clinics) so I could talk to her, got some inner health plus for kids so jazz isn't too effected by the ABs. Got another appointment tomorrow, hopefully it clears up. Dr and LC mentioned surgical draining and IV antibiotics... :( Does anyone know, if I have to go in to hospital can I take Jazz? Surely I'd be able to right?
Just a quick one to leash - honey if you end up in the hospital you are welcome to leave Jazz here if you want, I live 700m away from nambour general so its not a problem to pop down for feeds....
well i have a velcro baby today. dunno wat the heck is wrong but he wont let me put him down. as soon as i do he goes into hysteria crying and put his fist in his mouth and just about eats his hand off LOL and this is after he has had a drink omg its driving me mental - I am seriously thinking that it IS his gums giving him pain, is their an age on using Bonjela? There wouldnt be aye, can use that any age? I definitely aint taking him to get weighed today, not in this state LOL
Re: this government thing I saw today on Sunrise that pensioners with only one living will get $1400 and the couples where both are still alive will get $2100... :wtf:
how is that fair??? (unless I saw it wrong - should be the other way around I reckon)
Squidipa - good luck today honey! I am  so hard that all the effort you've put in the past few days will pay off
Vic - great to hear your dad is doing well, always a relief after such a big operation
Leasha - bugger about the abcess. Get started on ya antibiotics asap so it doesnt get any worse!
Anyways must get something to eat - this will be interesting with a baby in my arms but I am bloody starving!
Back later..... maybe, if I'm not you all know why
I think the way it works is SINGLE pensioners get $1400 and COUPLE pensioners get $2100 (ie $1050 each)
Leash - I replied to your other thread hun  hope you start to feel better. Don't mean to alarm you, but the drs reckoned my abscess would reduce in size with AB's but it only got bigger :( And you've had some pretty high fevers, so I'd maybe look at trying to get it drained ASAP before it causes you too much more pain
my momma had an absis when feeding me it was real bad tho best to get what ever needs doing done. My mom had a hole in her breast in the end hat healed to a scar i think the absis bursted or something......So sorry your in pain mom said to me it hurt like mad!!
i tiried to get some the other day most teething product gels are from 6 months on wards and say to ask dr first. i am sure josh will be using something soon we bought him a chillable teething ring instead.
i dont know how low i can go now its becoming a numbing sensation when ever we do weigh ins
josh's offical weekly weigh in is 20 grams! 4440 grams yeah i cried on my walk home then jumped straight into bed with joshie in my arms and cried. ive pretty much jst gotten up.
Mel  you are such a good friend  I wish I could drive, I'd come visit you to give you a big hug   I'll have to just send squishy cyber hugs for now.
Leasha ~ I am so sorry that you have to go through what you are going through. Even though I have not experienced what is happening to you, I can only imagine!
I don't live where you are, but I think that if you are Breastfeeding, hospitals have to try to accomodate both you and your baby.
If they don't, tell them they suck and drop Jazzy off at Mels!
All the best for your appointment Love.
Hi Mums Bubs
Just a few notes this evening!!
Leasha - as you are bf'ing I am sure they would let Jazz in hospital, that is what the WCH said to me when I had Mastitis, that if we riskec it obernight we would bothe end up in hospital.
HUGE HUGS  Squidipa!!! What is your next step, a surprise is on it's way to you :D
Yay for the swing MM, just picked ours up today, glad we didn't wait until tomorrow as we got the 2nd to last one!
Hugs Sasha, hope Kye calms down for you, at least enough to eat!!
I ended up missing my Motilium app yesterday, but rescheduled for tomorrow, but I couldn't wait and on Saturday, upped it to two a day. still not enoough, but havn't needed to top up anywhere near as much :)
Dad was transferred from ICU to HDC this afternoon and they are now looking that he may be in the Cardiac Ward tomorrow - WOOT!!!!
Just cannot believe how well he is doing!
Nakita just did the biggest powerchuck, DH though it all hit the floor, then saw a massive splash all down his front!!
Thankyou all for your messages, we are hopeful that things keep going the way they are!!
Evening all
Vic - so sorry to hear about your Dad but good to hear he seems to be on the mend. for a speedy recovery!
Squiddy - you poor thing.... I hope you find a solution soon - we can all see how hard you're trying and how difficult it is for you atm.
sash - I think bonjela is from four months? but hope he sorts himself out.... DD has been dribbling a lot too and I'm  it's not teeth!
cm4e - hope things have got a bit better for you and Seven has settled down.
Mel :P
Leash - hope you don't have to go to hospital! But sometimes it's so good to just get these things sorted out once and for all. You always feel crap when you have some kind of infection like that.
Rach - such a sad story about your friend's DD what a brave little girl and family!
MM not sure if we will qualify for the $1k .... will depend on how they calculate the income I guess.
Anyhoo not much to report round here :dunno:
Thanks every one and thanks vic and pixie.. I am honestly starting to wonder weathor its something more serious as to why no weight gain there is nothing in our family history of anything but thats doesn't mean your safe does it.
Question for everyone!!!!
How many minutes a day (24 hours) and how may feeds a day not including burping and settling and sleeping time do you give all your bubs everyone. Yes i know your boobs work different than myn or the lady next door but still trying to see if there is anything and i know babies all drink at diff speeds and develop differently.
Spoke to Mother inlaw today and she said all her kids fed for at least 6 months and they all stacked on the weight no medical history to be given really.
MW said to feed him for 15 mins one side then rest of feed on other boob. Tell ye the truth i think she has no idea whats up and was just trying to make me comfortable coming away with a style of feeding. Truth is i think that would effect my supply is know i can feed josh on one boob for 1 hour and be alright ever gone past an hour tho most feeds are 30mins to 40 mins. Do you think if i go to 15 mins then change boob my supply would drop as i know its good now. She also suggested to rub the boob during feeds to express while feeding and having him attached.
I always check after feeds :rofl the other day i squirted my self in eye ball haha that was after the 1 hour feed wow it was thick.
Vic is there some special way to attach baby with shield??? I know he is feeding k as he is calm not coming off and happy and my boobs fill up every time Just asking as i cant do the whole get the bottom of the breast tissue in and flick the tipple in now as the shield makes it harder.
Hi Everyone,
My wireless connection was playing up last night, so wouldn't let me reply, and then today there was a whole heap of posts that my computer had not loaded up (new page) so now I feel really far behind.
I was going to tell Leash what I did when I had mastitis to help recovery but it seems it has gone a lot further now with an abscess. Nast nasty, mastitis alone is horrible enough. Just reading in my "breastfeeding naturally" book that an abscess needs to be surgically drained, so don't muck around Leash. Just get yourself and Jazz to hospital. Hey has anyone noticed that if you misspell matitis it can look like mas titties which is exactly what it is! Mass forming in your boobs...:o Oh dear, this coughing really has finally gotten to me....rattled my brain....made me think even more stupid thoughts than usual....
Squidipa - no trick to the nipple shield. Make sure the gap in the silicone is where Josh's nose will be when feeding. Don't worry about getting flesh into his mouth, he just needs to latch on to the whole of the nipple part (down to the bottom). The way you can tell if he is on correctly is by latching him on and it doesn't hurt you. If you take him off (or partially off) you should see your nipple being drawn into the nipple part of the shield, or failing that, seeing milk on the inside of the shield means he is able to draw milk. HTH!
Kiwigirl, I read part of that blog of your friend and had tears streaming down my face. I can only imagine what they are going through. You really appreciate how precious they are when you have one of your own. My thoughts are with them, and I am glad they got the chance to really celebrate her life with her, before she goes.
Vic - glad to hear your Dad is doing so well. I was wondering what happened to your doc appt... glad you got to reschedule.
Sash - I am sure Kye just wants his Mummy today. Jett often sucks his fists, but I think that it is a self soothing technique rather than teething.
Big hi to everyone else - MM, Arimeh, CM4E, Pixie and anyone else who has excaped my attention right now :P
Had mothers group today, we had gymbaroo come and give us a demonstration. Jett loved it, think I will have to take him to the baby sessions. Exhausted him though, crashed out on the floor straight afterwards and put on his most angelic sleeping face!!
This weekend the pregnancy, babies and childrens expo is on, so looking forward to seeing what's out there that you wouldn't necessarily know about. Going to get some more cloth nappies too. The worlds greatest pram stroll is on too, so might take a picnic for after the walk and then go to the expo afterwards.
Afternoon everyone!
It is eerily quiet in here today ..... :o
Squidipa - lately, Veygas has only been feeding 4 or 5 times a day (yes in the whole 24 hour period) he had his FOURTH night in a row of looooooong sleep. He usually feeds about 20 mins to half an hour both sides (each time), and about 45 mins at night before bed. When he was waking during the night, he'd feed for about 5 or 10 mins then crash again.
I was gonna take him to be weighed at the clinic today, but DS2 stuffed around so much when I dropped DD off at preschool that there wasn't time to really come home feed Veygas, let him sleep and then go to the clinic at 11am! The other option was to stay down there, but the wait would have been too long before the clinic opened :(
Leash honey, hope everything is ok with you  Did you end up going to the hossie??
MT - YAY for gymbaroo!!!
Pixie - yeah, I think it's all still a bit vague about how they are working out who gets the $1K ... or it just hasn't been explained very clearly :dunno: That thread on here about it has turned a bit political .... I mean, if we get it, it will certainly come in handy, what with Christmas, then 3 birthdays and school fees next year ....
Vic - glad your dad is on the road to recovery  Don't ya just love the powerchucks??? lol!
DP told me yesterday he is looking at the transport companys up around Stanthorpe ... seems he is seriously considering the move too now!! WOOT!!
MM - nooo.. not stanthorpe *slap slap*.... SUNSHINE COAST..... hehehehehe
Leash - how you doin babe?
Squidipa - I don't BF so can't offer you any advice honey - but I wish you all the best !!! I still think you are doing a great job. Maybe Josh is just a bit slow to start off with, but will gain a huge chunk of weight in the next week or something!!!!!
MT - yay for more cloth nappies!! I have to get some more so DS and DD are prepared for day care in two weeks.... more money
Vic - thats great for your dad.. lets hope he continues to recover so well *mwah*
Can't remember all the other posts - been so slack - I read, then get distracted and forget everything that I just read, but don't have time to read them over again!!! I know.. slack Mel
Ahh well... someone is grizzling - better go see if she wants another nap.. she actually self settled this morning in the cot.. I was amazed..!!!!
Hey folks
Squiddy - I have checked I seem to feed her 7 times in 24 hours, and 20 mins on one side then 5-10 mins on the other. She would go all day if I let her, but I try to keep it to that cause I have overfed her in the past . If you squirted yourself in the eye after an hour of feeding, it doesn't sound like it's a supply issue. Hopefully it sorts itself out but if you're really worried about his weight gain maybe see a paed. you certainly seem to be doing all the right things and it seems your supply is good so :dunno: maybe what mel said....
mm great that your DH is on board about moving! funny how sometimes you get these things in your head isn't it!
MT have fun at the baby expo.... haven't heard if it is coming to Sydney. Although this week it is good food week, so we are going to the night noodle markets tonight :D
I'm so slack... my stepmum is going to clean up my house while I get a spa treatment.... but I don't think its going to happen till next week. In the meantime I don't want to clean up properly cause I know she'll do a much better job than I will! But the house is getting dirty so trying to figure out how to clean just a little bit so I still get full value from the stepmum-clean but don't have to live in a whole world of dust bunnies. I'm a bad girl!
Vic - hugs about your dad .... hope he's getting better real fast honey
Leash - hope you're getting that abscess seen to babe, you'll feel so much better when it's gone.
big hello to everyone else.... have a great day!
Mel - Woohoo! for the self-settling!
***Tried to post before, but I think BB was having issues!! :o Anyway, lucky I copied it, so I can just paste it now!! LOL!***
 it's a stretch getting DP to consider QLD at all, considering he spends half his bl00dy life there!!! Why should he have all the fun??? lol!! :nahnah:
Veygas is quite good at self settling - better than the others were ... maybe it's just in their nature, being winter babies (my other 3 are all summer babes!!) :dunno:
EDIT - also just got DD a school uniform cause one of her friends is wearing uniform for the orientation days  Bl00dy girls!!
Here is a bit of a summary of my families week....
Here is an update on what has been happening.....
Dad had his surgery Tuesday, they ended up repairing the valve in his heart, through key whole surgery - best case scenario!!! Woot!! He was in ICU for 24 hours, double Woot, and is now in HDU, things were going really well, then last night his heart rate kept dropping so that have given him a pacemaker, good news about that is that apparently about 80% of cases get one temporarily, and we a luckier that is was on day two, as it is worse if he needed it on day one. He is having a pretty tough day today, they got him up to walk hima roudn the bed and crashed, so he is feeling pretty worse for ware at the moment, and it looks as though he will be in HDU for a while longer.
With my sister, she is still waiting for an MRI, but they have confirmed that they caught the Stroke jsut before it happened, they have now put her on a new medication but it isn't on the PBS, and it costs wait for it..... $1000 a day - OMG it is ridiculous. The neurologist is filling in all the paperwork so that hopefully she can get it subsidised/funded as it is impossible for her or the family to be able to afford $1000 a day :(
It really sucks why do the meds have to be so much.. there are some alternatives which aren't as effective. The expensive one would give her approximately another 20 years, the rest we are unsure about.
So we are hoping to get some good news about it all.
Today I saw the specialist GP and she has upped my Motilium to 6 a day!!! From 1 a day!!! Woot, so I will get the results in a couple of days, and on Sunday I need to feed Nakita as much as possible, I have two markets and a Tupperware party to go too... could be interesting!!! But worth everything. She said that I shouldn't have been told to comp and they my Motilium should have be upped at the time... grr but she also needed to put some weight on as well. Her expectation would be approximately 300 grams a month for Nakita - woot!! so I am not going to get stressed at she, she is really happy with her (first time meeting her) thinks she looks wonderful, round and happy, until she started screaming for boob halfway through, lucky I could feed her!!
The brick on the house are going really well, they have done the office, home theatre, laundry, kitchen and part of the billard room - Woot!!!
I have just an hour and a half reprieve from doing things for dad and mum, started the dishwasher as I forgot when I went out, hung out the washing and filled the line, Nakita is in her swing sound asleep and I am going to have to put her in the car in 15 min :(
Off to the city to pick up mum and then bring little miss home for a feed then we will walk to the shops to get prescriptions, chicken and a few other bits and pieces, the home for the night.
No prem playgroup today as my throat is now not sore, but my nose is stuffy and I have a cough, and strict rules, but at least we have normal playgroup tomorrow.
Aurghhh what a list!!!
Thankyou again everyone for your wishes it means a lot to us MWAH!!!!
Squidipa - how are you feelign today hun? The GP said that some bubs only put on 100-120grams as an average, I know Josh is a bit less than that but hopefully you find your answers very soon.
Leasha - I hope you are in hossy hun getting that abscess drained.
 I squirted Nakita all over her face today with milk, first time and it was hilarious - right infront of the GP!!! Must have jsut squeezed it right
yay for the self settling Mel
Woot for Stanthorpe MM, keep on him
Yay for Gymabaroo MT - sounds like fun what do they do?
Must run, little miss is awakening and I need to get organised!!
I told you Day 4 was poo day in our house!
Firstly, Seven threw up all over my black top while in the shopping centre - then, when we got home, she let it rip. I swear there was a 2 minute interval from when I heard the explosion until I got her on the change table and oh holy lord - what a mess. Once again - thank the lord she doesn't go 28 days!
:ROFL:me yesterday, all up her front and we were not at home, thank god for wipes!!:
I swear there was a 2 minute interval from when I heard the explosion until I got her on the change table and oh holy lord - what a mess
Must be a girl thing - Seven poos 'upwards' too! What is with that?!?!?!?!?!?!
CM4E - Veygas gets it all up his back!?!?!?! And worse, he squirms JUST as I take off the nappy, so it goes EVERYWHERE!!! (being #4 I kinda expect it though!! ;) )
Vic - YAY for the doc upping your motilium!! LOL @ squirting N in the face with milk, that's happened to us a few times!! Hope your dad gets better - must have been scary! And YAY for the work on your house!! I hope that your sister's meds can be subsidised, $1K a day is a bit steep!! :o Sounds like you could do with a good night's sleep after the day you've had! (I'll swap babies with ya for the night, V has slept through 10+ hours the last 4 nights!)
Must toodle, kidlets are in the bath (well the oldest one anyway) and I need to make sure the others are still dry, as they've already had baths!!
OMG MM, I'd love to swap for a night - hehe - a bit far though... how about getting Veygas to please send his sleepy vibes to Nakita!!! I don't see that happening soon :( I would adore 8 hours straight let alone 10!!! Mind you my bbs would explode especially if it is in the next few days!!
I did ask Nakita the other night - really nicely if she could sleep a long time and nup 3:30am and I was in bed at 11:30pm :(
 about poos up the front and back!!
Time to enjoy my cuppa, then get reay to express!
Hi Everyone,
Another busy day here. Got up and went for a walk this morning, Jett really seemed to enjoy it today. Was awake for part of it!! PMSL!! Then we did a spot of shopping before dropping into work for lunch and catch ups for the rest of the afternoon. Pass-the-parcel was played with Jett, but I don't think he minds at all! He was even smiling at some of them! But the strange thing is he has only had 3 feeds today. The were all decent feeds, but still..... expressing tonight was down on the usual so I'm not sure what is going on! I'm sure Jett would have no hesitation in letting me know if he was still hungry so I am not going to hit the panic button just yet.
Oh and speaking of splodey poos... we got one today. All up his back, even soaked through the nappy (it was a Huggies too).
Ok, i was going to write more but my mind has gone blank and I am desperately seeking sleep suddenly! :asleep:

Hope you all had a good sleep.
Vic, thinking of you with your Dad and SIL. WTF about the medication that is $1K a day!!! Unbelievable. Really hope she gets the funding for it. And good luck with the motilium. Hopefully there are milky waterfalls in your future!
I'm hearing you girls on the upward poo factor. Beth is the same! although we haven't had any containment failures the other day she managed one that seemed to completely fill the entire nappy!
Squiddy sending lots of porker vibes to your little guy.... '
Mel what the hell happened on the July thread! :hide:
Mother's group today, and it's a gorgeous day here :)
hope everyone has a good day
Hi all,
No not in hospital, dr keeps saying "we want to avoid that" I think he's putting it off as long as possible, giving my body a chance to deal with it. Yesterday there was no change, except no fevers at all yesterday so I think at least its not getting any worse. It's still red, the red isn't going away. This morning after she fed it wasn't as hard as it has been the past few days but I have noticed a kind of lumpiness to my boob which gives me stabbing pain when I poke it, which I think is the abcess (I couldn't tell before as it all felt sore and hard). Dr is seeing my AGAIN this afternoon 4.40pm, we decide what we're doing over the weekend. I don't want to go to hospital, I hate them so bad I couldn't wait to leave after the c/s! But then, if I am going to need to go at all, I'd rather go sooner than later.
Jazz has been a real ***** on my boob though. I haven't given her formula yet, even though she's gotten into biting my, and both nipples are cracked and the left one is bleeding too :( The things we do.... I have some Lansinoh (i think thats what its called... its the ridiculously expensive purple tube of yellow oily stuff that works wonders lol), which helped clear it up when they started cracking and bleeding in the first 2 weeks. And to think, all this caused by feeding her  Sometimes you wonder hey, I'm doing it for her, and of course it IS worth it, but is it REALLY worth it when I think about me too you know...
Real estate rang yesterday, the owners are selling the house and our lease isn't being renewed. Well, we knew the owners were selling, they offered it to us first, but I am psitting chips as our lease runs out on December 22. I doubt anyone would be able to buy and settle a contract between now and then (or does it happen fast? I thought it was a very drawn out process) but as Shel works for the zoo she can't get time off during school holidays to move and its not like I can do it myself with Jazz) but moving in January is pretty much impossible so does anyone know how we can get out of our lease early. Not HEAPS early, you know, just like beginning of December. Do you reckon they'd be ok? I doubt it hey...? What a PITA. I'm so comfy here too, we're so close but far enough away from everything...
Anyway, not much else to say, got a driving lesson on Monday (Kel I'm with Coastwide) so if anyone is in Caboolture WATCH OUT! PMSL! Nah, I'm not a bad driver, I'm just very nervous. Paying $50 a lesson, suppose its gotta be done but I don't like parting with my cash lol!
Morning all
WRT poo explosions - its so weird.... DS used to shiat up his back - DD is at the front - it MUST be a girl thing!!!!
Leasha - standard sale contracts are 30 days. So yes, it does happen that quickly. Settlement dates can be at any time really - I've once done a contract for 14 days before, and the one on our house was two months. So its actually what ever the parties agree to, but the standard time is 30 days. (can anyone tell that I'm a conveyancer?!? ;))
Oh, and you can request to break the lease early given the circumstances - talk it over with your real estate - they should have a form for you to request it from your landlord.
Pixie chick - I KNOW.. what the hell was going on?? I was disgusted really, so didn't voice my opinion!!!! well done to Beth this morning - what a good girl!!!!! Have a good time at mothers group!!!
Had another good night last night - both kids were asleep at 9pm (we went to IL's for dinner for FIL's birthday - but don't even ASK me about my MIL :wall:) and didn't hear a peep out of DD for the rest of the night until she woke at 7.30am... unfortunately DS woke up 3 times last night - once from falling out of bed.. hehe... lucky its close to the floor huh...
Got the Austar guy coming around today (yayyy Leasha!!) so I've already changed for the day and brushed my hair (believe me, its a rare thing)
Better go change DD and give her a new nappy - she'll be soaked!!!!!! Plus I need breakfast!!!
Check yas later!!!
:)
Mel  YAY Austar! *giggle* I'm a bad influence!
OMG - ok it isn't sleeping through the night, but not a feed overnight.
Nakita stirred at 4.30 gave her dummy, went to sleep stirred again 5:10, but wasn't hungry and wouldn't let me put her down, so I ripped out my breast pads and put them under a cloth I had in her cot (as we rubbed some olive oil on her head to get rid of the drieness and), she went to sleep, soundly until DH stirred her at 7:30am!!!! OMG is this my solution? I will be putting todays in her cot after her last feed, not during the day and see how she goes - please cross your fingers for me!!!
Pixie and Mel, I looked in your thread but it has all been edited - I guess ;) But it does look as though it may have gotten a bit nasty :( Glad we are all happy here!
Yay for Austar Mel
 Leasha, I hope it clear up, but if you need tog et it drained best to get it sorted sooner rather than later, and more  for the sore bbs!!
Yay Pixie for your feeds too!
Not sure how long we have to wait to hear if the meds have been financed but all the documentation went in yesterday - talking about putting a value on life :(
Okay ripper poo this morning, hear 3 big gushes, though great, no leaks around the sides, changed her straight away, but nope - all the way up her back!! I ended up putting her in the bath!! She is now all clean and happing gooing and gahing in between hiccups in her swing!
