we tried to get her the next size teat, but she just splutters, coughs and chokes, so she's still on the newborn teats..
Mel - Funny you say this as I was thinking on Friday it must just about be time to change K's teat. I checked out the packet in the chemist (been using Pigeon brand) and actually noticed the 'small' teat says 2-3mnth+ .... do you HAVE to change teats as they get older... I'm guessing you would as why else would they make em???
    Whats the difference?

Re: routines - K's is still good. He is still sleeping through the night Most nights is usually in bed by 8:30pm and sleeps through until between 5 and 6am

He had another swim in our pool yesterday, he is so good in the water. I had a hold of him under his armpits and was lifting him up out of the water then lowering him back down and he was cracking up laughing, was sooo cute!! I'm so pleased he hasnt cracked it but I guess being a waterbirth baby he's semi used to it hehe

I've also been looking around to try and find a baby swim class, have found a few but now just need to ring up and enquire as to days, times etc

Anyways the man is asleep so I'm gonna grab something to eat while I can LOL

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

EDIT: I added a pic of Kye taken the other day to my album, i think its such a cute one of him!! https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...hp?photo=10993

Sash - difference is the flow - so as they get older, the newborn teats are apparently too slow for them and they get frustrated with it. Which is what we thought was happening cos she's been off her bottles a bit lately - even daycare thought so too - but NOPE.. still newborn for her.
I wouldn't switch his teats until you think he is getting fussy with the flow. We replace ours every 2 months as well, saves them from getting old and slipping into the bottle neck when they suck (we use the pigeon ones too)

Vic - no babies in march for you huh We'll start trying in June.... well.. we'll see what happens if we move or not

Better go have lunch and check on Miss M... just as I wrote up her normal routine before- she has gone and bloody changed it on me today.. lol

    Hey folks!
Busy in here today.... I just got back from my day spa treatment the Bear got me as a birthday present.... it was great! so relaxing, felt very pampered! The Bear looked after Beth, but unfortunately we haven't given her a bottle for a while and little miss seems to have forgotten milk comes in bottles as well as boobies! the Bear had a bit of a battle on his hands apparently! Then he gave her all the milk in the fridge - about 240mls! Will have to make sure we give her a bottle every week or so so she doesn't forget again!
anyway Bear is in Singapore next week so it will just be me & DD from tuesday til friday.
Beema woah on the poo - that was huge! you should have named it! LOL
SB ... good luck with the packing and moving!
Mel, Squiddy you're all so keen on the TTC.... not planning the second one - Mel I think I am like you, I'm scared the next one won't be as good as DD! Beema I know what you mean about being high risk, even though we only had that issue with DD not breathing when she was born, and it is unlikely to happen again it still gives me pause when thinking about TTC another one. Well just wait for the mood to strike I guess!
Sash cute pic of Kye, and great that he is sleeping through..... Last night was a good one for DD after all that, last feed at 9.55 and didn't wake up till nearly 8am!
to MM Rach MT and everyone.... gotta run, baby grizzling!

squidipa - my guess is 200g

sasha - love that pic of kye, he and e have such similar builds! they even look a teeny bit similar to me in that pic

thepixie - aww yay for a spa treatment!! i have been looking at getting a massage or something as a treat. i am experiencing the same sagas with e trying to take a EBM bottle right now - haven't done one in ages (oops) and he's not taking them now tried twice with no luck. i really really want to go watch beckham play on dec 6 so will keep trying.

vic - lol at weighing n's poop! e has gone 6 days and then massive poop, then another 6 days and two massive poops. We're on day 3 again now lol.

hi everyone else, hope you had a fantastic weekend.. and thanks for all your birthday wishes on FB. had a fab bbq at our place with about 20 friends.

AND.... a year ago today i found out i was pregnant! we were in london on our round-the-world trip. i snuck out from our hotel and got a test because my bb had been a bit sore and i was wondering (no other signs tho). i remember buying the test cos it was so expensive! did the test in the hotel bathroom and then came out and told dh (who was watching tv). we were happy but more reserved than when i got my first positive test (which ended in a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks) but it was so nice to have that news a couple of days after my birthday.

when/how did you find out you were pregnant?

    Good Morning

Rach I was reading your status on FB and I went back to my blog to see the dates when I found out Here is my blog post from the 11th December, my first post, slightly edited (but it was a private blog until I got to 12 weeks) He he for the every 6 days, I really must take more notice of the days, but it has seemed to be be Saturday afternoons/early evening

"After waiting for quite some time DH and I decided that we couldn't be bothered waiting for out new house to be built that we would just give TTC a shot and see how we go, it can take a long time so we thought yeah this could take a few months or more so we'll be right!!

After the first month of TTC I met with my Dr about a month before for the dreaded PS, and spoke with her about us TTC and she just asked about what supplements I was taking and we also spoke about my gym work - as I was worried that I could push it too hard and do some damage. So after reassuring me the everything we were doing was fine, month 2 of TTC started.

I was a bit more relaxed, but when the TWW arrived I got myself so stressed out, wrote myself off and told myself that it wasn't going to happen this month, and went and spent the day at Victor with friends (I wasn't the chirpiest of people, but I don't think anyone noticed!!). It was a great distraction - but deep down I was shattered, kinda hard not to get caught up!!

I had been burping since the 29th of November, not just the occassional burp - a lot, and it was kinda funny!! Then cramps and got woken up one night with sharp pain in my BBS, and was a little nauseaus, but I said to Roy and myself nope, not this month.

Anyway I thought I would prepare for the testing - decided that I would test 2 days early as I wanted to do at least one POAS - it is fun!!! So on the Monday I bought supplies to cover all bases - good and bad!!

After writing myself off during month two of TTC I was absolutely shocked to find that I had a big bright BFP!! I had convinced myself that I was not UTD, and couldn't believe my eyes when at 5:50am on the 4.12.07 2 lines showed up straight away - OMG!!!
    YEAH!!!!

So I quickly booked an appointment with my Dr that day as my Dr told me there is a massive shortage of OB's in Adelaide and I could end up waiting a long time for an appointment, (unfortunately my Dr was on leave and had to see another Dr), and appointment was 45 minutes late - not helping my nerves.

When I told the Dr so was very excited - more than me it was beautiful, she rang the office of Dr A B (OB) to see if she was available on my expected date, and great for me she was, so with the referral letter and phone numbers in hand I left the Dr's in a little daze, jumped in my car and rang the OB office straight away to book all of my appoinments in. First Midwife appoinment with S is on Monday 7th January, and my first OB appointment is on 8th February four our first US - yeah!!!!

In the meantime we are taking care of our little Jelly Bean, and sending lots of love.
Ahh.... We are on Cloud 9
    xxoo"

    for your angel baby Rach

Pixie - Yay for the sleep-in and the spa treatment!! Which reminds me I must book in for my facial and use the voucher before it runs out very shortly!!!

Well must go and have a shower and do some more work while Nakita has gone down for her sleep.

when/how did you find out you were pregnant?
Rach - I just looked back on the photos I had taken of my home tests and the first one I took was 2nd December so must have a celebration on tuesday hehe

I was sitting reflecting the other day thinking I can remember saying last year on Xmas day "this time next year we will have a 4 month old" and now here we are, where has this year gone!!

Squidipa - I'm glad you got through the day, big to you hunny! I am hoping tomorrow is a better day for you and you get a good gain with Joshie.
    My guess is around 200g

Kel - had to laugh when you commented about Allegra partying all night. K has always gone to bed fairly early; takes after me in that department LOL
Re: weight gain - I can give you some of K's weight for Allegra if ya want .... he's got an extra kilo he could afford to share

Anyways will keep this short, K woke up all snuffly, think he might be coming down with a cold
Managed to get some spray into both nostrils and he settled again without me having to give him a bottle - hes such a good boy!

K has also decided he is a big boy now and doesnt need to be wrapped at night time; probably explains his snuffliness LOL. I always put a sheet and blanket over him when I put him down but yep if I wake up during the night and check on him he has always kicked it off and is just lying there with nothing on top of himself. He will quite happily sleep like that all night too, strange child!! LOL

Anyways me is tired, back to bed I go..... byeeeee!

Nah, not just yet, I need to take into consideration that I am high risk
I have a 50% of have a prem, 33% chance it will be between 31-35 weeks. So I need to be in a position to be able to deal with that should it happen (although hoping that we get to go FT!!!). There are so many complicaitons that come with a prem, will depends on how early, care required, time in hospital, having another bub to look after etc. So we have to take all of that into consideration.

Re: routines - K's is still good. He is still sleeping through the night Most nights is usually in bed by 8:30pm and sleeps through until between 5 and 6am
    Awesome Sasha, hope it continues!!!

Goodluck packing SB, hope you move goes well

Must run, my lamb roast is cooked!!!
