Hi everyone! I haven't posted in here in a while, sorry! It's so hard to sit down for long enough these days.
Just wanted to wish Megsmum a happy birthday!!! I hope you are having a great day .
Saffi - M is such a great weight, well done! Are you still BF'ing her? I know you wanted to wean her a little while ago. Also, I seem to recall you asking me if Alana is in a cot? She has been in her cot from the beginning in her own room, I can't sleep with a baby in our room, I don't know why!!
Misty - You can take some antibiotics while BF'ing. I've taken them before when BF'ing DS2 and DD, you just need to tell your GP so he/she can prescribe the correct ones. I hope you feel better soon .
Hi to everyone else! Sorry for the slack personals , I have to get ready to go and pick DS1 up from school shortly so I have to be quick. DS1 was made Pupil of the Week yesterday, he's so excited . He gets a ribbon and certificate at the end of the week at the school assembly, so cute!
All is going pretty well with us. I started Alana on rice cereal today (too slack to try anything else first ). At first it just sat on her tongue, but she worked it out pretty quickly. I think because of the fact that she insisted on putting the spoon in her mouth herself! She's such a little grabber, it was just easier to give it to her LOL. She seemed to really enjoy the exercise which is great. She turns 6 months old tomorrow so I thought I'd better get a move on with solids.
As I said above, she's big into grabbing things. Her favourite things to grab are hair and feet, she's so funny! She grabs my hair or one of her brothers and makes a high-pitched squeal, like it's the best thing ever . She's still crawling backwards, trying so hard to go forwards. She spends all of her time and her hands and knees or hands and toes rocking, she refuses to be on her back.
Her sleeping has gone a bit bad lately, I have a feeling some teeth will pop through soon. Hopefully they do so we can get some better quality sleep around here!
Well, I'd better run and do a few more things before waking Alana and DS2 up for the school run. I hope you are all well!
Wow I'm so far behind again!! I had a read over what I've missed - sorry to hear some of the bubs are not feeling well.
Welcome back to the country to Koru!!
DS is a bit hit & miss with his solids. Loves pumpkin & porridge, hates potato even mixed with pumpkin. I love his little expressions, he actually shuddered when he tasted the potato & pumpkin earlier!!
He will not sit at all - even assisted or propped in the couch. He will just arch his back, lift his bum up & slide back onto the floor!! I wish he'd sit as he is very limited on the floor in regards to toys etc. Or he spends his time practising crawling moves over & over, not that he gets anywhere lol.
Oh forgot to mention - DS cut two teethy pegs last week, yay!!

: forgot teethy pegs
Thanks Trish So far hasn't been a bad day although more sleep would have been nice! E is the same with grabbing things especially hair. I'm always finding bunches of DD1's hair stuck in her hands
Cheezel - Yay for teeth!
Saffi - We haven't had any more temps, just the one before she got sick about a week ago. I guess that's good, don't really need a temp as well as the breathing problems at night! Might have to drag the vapouriser out again tonight, we used it the night before last and I honestly don't know if it made a difference - that was the first night of her being sick. I was just too tired to set it up last night before bed
Tippytoes - Thankyou so much my darlin'. I didnt even realise it was 6 months today...BAD MUMMY!!!!! Sooooo forgetful! Happy 6 months my beautiful Lochie, we are soooooooo in love with you!
Thanks Saffi and megsmum
Poor Eli, hope he gets a better sleep tonight, xxx
AFU - Lochie is doing much better at night now that I have decided to crack down on his repetitive waking episodes. I only feed him once (like I used to) and refuse to feed any other time during the night. I have been leaving him to whinge (he only whinges, never really cries) and so far, he has gone back to sleep on his own and both days I have been doing it for, he has woken at 7 instead of 6 and wakes happy...playing in his cot! I hope t continues to get better, although im sure teeth are around the corner and this will be causing some sleepless nights...ahhh well.
This post was supposed to be posted earlier, but the day got soooo busy! So I realise my persies are behind....but I promise ill get back to it!
Megsmum - Yeah I know you can take some antibiotics, I have been on amoxylin (or whatever it is called) before - unfortunately the tooth infection I have will only react to this certain type of antibiotic apparently. And my dentist was not particularly caring about the breastfeeding, but that's another vent. Oh well, by this time tomorrow night I should be able to breastfeed again. And it was nice not having to get up last night, because DH gave Baz the bottle.
Misty - Yeah I thought you probably did That is such a bummer about the dentist, what a PITA not considering that you are BF. At least like you said it is not for too long, I absolutely HATE pumping LOL Hope the tooth is better today at least you got a good rest.
Hey guys
Just a quick question... Eli has decided to start pulling himself up on things to stand up! He can now this by himself . He has also decided to start 'cruising'???? I think it is called (You know when they hold onto stuff and walk around??). Anyway, it makes me soooo nervous. He has also tried to stand up randomly in the middle of the room - holding onto nothing!
Question is - is there anyway I can minimise him hurting himself - he is falling over a fair bit. He doesn't cry all the time but ouch!
Also, I am at a bit of a loss about what to do at nightime. Last night he only woke twice which was great! But I think I maybe feeding him too much at night??? I am so lost guys. And I am also tired!
Sorry no persies...
Rach xx
