Csab: u really need a break girl! I've been reading your birth story too (bits at a time when G let's me!) your an increadible woman for coping with all you've had to over the last 6 months, don't give up now!

Babyluv: Georgia doesn't like being wrapped ( hardly suprising here really) so when she sleeps on her side in the bassinet her arms are both out the side that her heads turned to, so the arm she's laying on stops her going any further that way, if she was to roll she can only roll onto her back. It helps my peace of mind that she's very strong and has actually been able to lift and turn her head (and her upper body now!) by herself since about 4 days old. When she's in bed with us on her side she's propped up against mine or dh's chest.

Bex: lol I would've loved to see the look on joe's face! Can't wait to see the pics!

Ok so i'm typing one handed because Ivy's sleeping on me :)

Csab: :hug: you've been through so much and I agree with little mrs, you need a break, although thats pretty hard for you with your kids and a new baby to look after. I'm tired and emotional and I have only one other child and i haven't had a day with them both on my own yet. :hug:

Bexie: will have to go stalk for your sneak preview shot. hehehe to pooing on Joe :) Ivy pooed in the stork pouch thing she had some photos taken in. I think its fine to go to regular pads. my bleeding stops and starts too, i have some days where there is nothing at all, and other days of light bleeding.

Babyluv: :hug: I feel for you. Ivy screamed most of the day yesterday, its so hard when they don't stop crying and you don't know why they're crying because they're fed, changed, warm burped. So hard. Ivy likes to sleep on her side too, i just roll up a blanket or nappy and put it under her shoulder, so she is sort of on her side a bit. I hope the sleep centre helps you.

Mizqtie: Ivy was doing the feeding all day thing yesterday too, and its looking like she is going to do it again today. My poor nipples are raw.

Little mrs: yay to talking to me :) I think Ivy was eating the drumsticks. Same thing happened to me after DS was born although I put on 4 more kilos with Ivy. Quinn loves his new sister he wants to kiss her and cuddle her ALL the time, even when she's asleep :)

Caixin: yay to claire putting on so much weight good on you!! bugger to having to get more forms!

AFM well i'm pretty tired, yesterday Ivy wanted to feed and cry all day. thank goodness she slept well last night, I only had to get up once at 2-3:30 then she slept till 7:30. She must have been exhausted from all the crying and awake time.

Little mrs: Charlotte is the same with having a strong neck! Problem is she lifts it up and looks around but then it's like her energy runs out and she just let's go and her head flops down! She's gonna hurt herself if she doesn't learn to lower it slowly! Lol.

Kirsten: poor nipples!!! Mine are a little sore again, mostly cause my boobs are so full by the time I feed her! Quinn and ivy would be sooooo cute together! Lol to ivy crapping in the stork sack! Charlotte pee'd in this cloth thing we were trying to hang her in... Lol.

We had an alright night, after the photo shoot she slept from 5-8pm then fed then slept again from 8:30ish-12:30ish and fed but then was up at 2, 3:30, 6 and 9:30 and was grunting n squeaking all night so I kept waking thinking she was awake!

Does anyone elses baby grunt n squeak heaps?? Even when she is sleeping she makes lots of noise!!

My baby is like a little piggy she snuffles and wriggles all night!

ok good... lol. Charlotte is not weird! haha

Agh!!! JUst sat down to reply and Miss X starts squawking!!! As much as I adore snuggles I wish she'd stay asleep in her basket!! Be back soon :hug:

Shelly, its always the way, you sit down to eat/catch up on bb/go and have a shower and the crying starts :D

Bexie: Ivy squeaks and hums and snuffles all night :) I dont understand why nipples are made of such sensitive stuff. They should be made of steel!! I'm sure all babies poo and pee all over the photographers props :rofl:

Mrs Bexie: Love the photos of Charlotte! They are so gorgeous, certainly doesn't show all the pee and poo she went through during the photoshoot :P I've got some days where I won't get much discharge then some days it's back to bloody mucus again so I'm still wearing normal pads. Keeps me wondering when it will really stop. I'm still in track pants and yoga pants most days, not even going to attempt fitting into pre-preg pants. Claire squeaks and moans and squirms all night too, keep thinking she's waking but she just settles back to sleep herself.

Babyluv: Sounds like Sienna gives you some really rough times some days. Hope the sleep school helps. I co sleep with Claire at times when I'm exhausted at night from waking up every 2 hrs and can't be bothered to get up and check her in her cot. I put her in between me and the snuggle pillow with my arm that is down wrapped over the top of her. She loves sleeping on me too but I'm afraid I will fall asleep and roll over forgetting she's on top of me! LOL Have I got you on my FB? I can't remember?

Little mrs: I think all the 2 hourly feeding at nights have certainly maintained my milk supply.

csab: :hugs: What a rough time you've been through. Hopefully ur headaches start to bugger off and give you a bit of a break. I've certainly been more emotional since having bubs and when I was having problems with BF I didn't want to talk to anyone. Hope you get some relief from all you have to do at home so you get some time to just you and Chloe alone.

Kirsten: Ivy's a gem letting you sleep from 3.30-7.30! What a treat! Few days before Claire saw the MCH she was feeding every 2 hours almost all day and night for about 2 days so maybe Ivy is going through a growth spurt.

So I didn't get around to uploading my maternity photos but my photographer has put them on her blog. I've put the link on my FB for anyone interested coz it'll be a long time before I'll get time to scan and upload those photos.
Claire gave me a nice break last night, getting up only at 12mn, 3am, 5.30am, 8am. That's so much better than every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. She's starting to respond to us talking and gave her first smile yesterday while we talked to her. Love the cooing that she does in respond to us talking too. Makes the hard work all worth it. :)

Can't catch up with persies right now, I'll be back later but I'm needing a little support at the moment.
Sienna wouldn't settle last night, as you know she is a very unsettled bub.
Has Silent reflux and quite often wants to feed constantly sometimes the screaming and feeding can go overnight 7+hrs. Last night I fed her and she drifted off then 10 mins later she was screaming again 'so I put her back on the boob she would suck then pull off scream and keep doing this both sides, we were headed for another crazy night. I could tell she was hungry but i dont think she was getting anything from me. I ended up giving her formula, which for some reason is making me feel like a failure :(
She drank 80mls after being on my boobs for an hr and then trying to feed again 10 mins later.
So often after a feed she is unsettled, screams, feeds again in 10 mins, can't sleep etc. The LC told me that my body would be providing her with enough but now I don't think so.
She was settled & slept for 3hrs after her bottle last night, went straight to sleep & did the same at each feed, no crying at all!
I feel like I've been starving my baby & I also feel like a failure for having to give her a formula top up. I think all the drumming it into me at hospy about how much better breast is has made me feel like formula is bad. I know breast is best but If I don't think she is getting enough from me what else can I do?
Claire put on 500grams in a week & Sienna put on 180grams in 2 weeks. Do I Continue to give her a top up? I want to BF but if she's hungry she needs food and my body doesnt seem to be giving her what she needs.
I've had concerns about my supply but the LC & MCHN assured me this wouldn't be the case but I think I've worked out why she is so unsettled alot of the time.
I feel terrible :(

Babyluv- Thankyou for your support now its my turn. I am going through the same thing with Chloe. She is so unsettled, wants the bottle at her mouth all the time. She too has reflux, I believe both silent and the spewy one. Trying to BF has failed me and I too feel like I have failed little Chloe by not getting to BF her, but she just wont BF. I am now taking some medication to help with my BM supply, yet atm I just dont have the time to express or even keep at getting her to the BB's. Everytime i go out, and I have to feed her with the bottle, I just feel like everyone is judging me for not BFing her. Yet everytime I put Chloe to the BB's she either goes to sleep after a couple of sucks or she screams that much for something quicker (bottle). She continuously feeds throughout the day and night, and also strains, crampy etc all day and night. Last night she cried that much, my DH asked whats wrong with her, it isnt right, something must be wrong. Yet ontop of everything she was also constipated and only just not long ago finally pooped. I had her pead appt today thankfully and he has changed her formula from S26 AR to Nan AR in the hopes that it wont be as constipating. I also have to give her Mylanta 1ml 6 times a day in the hopes of settling her. If that doesnt work then I have to put her on Zertec.
You and I have to stop beating ourselves up with the BFing hun. Honestly I would keep giving her some BM when you can and just top her up with the formula if that is whats settling her. Maybe even composite feed her, like 1 feed BM and one feed formula and see how that goes, yet it really will be trial and error unfortunately. As your little ones mummy you will do whats right for her, have faith in yourself. I am trying to do that myself, as I really want to give Chloe BM too, even if I can only express it. I think i am going to be in for another long night tonight, I hope you have a better night tonight. Hugs

Thanks everyone for your support, I have days where i feel not too bad and then those really down days. It doesnt help when you feel like every direction you turn you run into a brick wall. Hopefully the trisillian or karitane (cant remember who it is now coming on Tuesday) can help somewhat.

Well I went for the u/s today to check how my insides are doing, and appears they arent fairing to badly, nothign retained. So looks like I may need to start taking the meds the DR prescribed. OMG the transvaginal u/s killed, I felt like i wanted to die it hurt so much. Let me jst say this, I am not looking forward to DTD at all, the longer it takes for that time to come the better.

Anyway everything looked fine, yet for some reason they couldnt find my left ovary. Dont know what the go is with that. Ohh well.

Ohhh and Little Chloe weighed 2.49kg today, yet she was aslo constipated so that may have contributed to her weight. However I really dont think she is going to have the trouble little V has had with gaining weight, so thats a good thing. Her pead was going to see her again after her hearing test next week, but he wont be at his office, so we have decided to just wait until our next appt for both her and V on the 31st. However if she is still very unsettle he wants me to call him to let him know so I can bring her back earlier.

Csab: sounds to me our situations are very similar. Thankyou so much for your support. Having a baby that screams constantly is so exhausting & frustrating. There have been times where hubby n I have also said what's wrong with her this isn't normal. The meds are helping Sienna & I really hope they help Chloe!

Babyluv don't feel bad, formula is a great substitute and it does NOT mean you've failed! Can u look at people around you and pick who was fed breast milk and who was fed formula? I can't, so by giving sienna formula if that's what she needs you're doing the best you can for her and yourself, all this is gonna take a toll on you and Dave too and that'll make the whole situation harder to resolve. Not saying you should give up BF but do what you think is right, no one will judge you for formula feeding. In fact, we'll all be jealous that you can have a glass of wine!

Thanks for your support little_mrs :) you're right I can't tell who was BF and who was FF.
I guess I'll continue to BF & top her up with formula when she needs it.

babyluv you are not a failure. not everyone can breastfeed, if little sienna is going to be healthier on formula so be it!!

Caixin: Aww how lovely Claire is cooing and responding to your voices!! Charlotte isn't quite there yet, although when I talk her little mouth starts sucking! hahaha... she knows I = Boobies! Yay to her giving you a bit of a break too!! It's lovely to get some sleep!

Babyluv :hug: :hug: :hug: Sweetheart you have not in ANY way failed Sienna!!!!!! You are doing your absolute best as her mum and you are doing an AMAZING job!!! There are things you can do to increase your milk supply and in the mean time topping up with formula is not the end of the world. It is making her happy and full, and if you have to use it for now that is fine!!!!! Do not feel bad for that honey! I wish I could just give you the biggest hugs right now! I cannot imagine how hard it has been for you lately with no sleep, silent reflux etc. Things will get better!! Try to express after a feed and that will help you produce more milk, try to drink fennugreek tea (from heath food shop) as that increases your milk supply, also keep with the RLT cause that helps too... Maybe try Kirsten's cookies (recipe a few pages back) that she suggested to Caixin for your milk... doing this stuff will increase the supply and then you might be able to drop the formula top up... With settling her, have you tried getting the both of you naked and just having skin to skin contact?? Feed her and let her fall asleep on your boob and hold her nice and tight... it works to setlle Charlotte everytime, Sienna may like the skin contact!
But seriously sweetheart, do not feel bad or like you failed. You haven't!! And know we are all here for you whenever you need us!!!!!!!

We went this arvo and chose all our photos! I am so excited.. we got a massive framed one (20x24 of jeo holding charlotte's head and I was holding her bum but you can only see our arms.. it is gorgeous!!! On my FB there is a link to a youtube video of some of her photos, my photographer put them up for me...
She has been pretty unsettled tonight! since about 7pm has just wanted to be on the boob but she only sucks a few times and falls asleep but as soon as the nipple comes out she screams! She just wants to sleep on my boob!! She is currently passed out on my boobs cause I took her suit off and my top off and went skin to skin to calm her down! It works everytime... she just loves the skin contact!!!

We are driving to Brisbane tomorrow cause we finally found a route that is open!! The main hwy is not open, Ipswich mwy isn't open, the route we found will add about 1-1.5hrs to the trip but it's the only way through!!! Please pray we have a safe trip through and my mum can make her flight on sunday! We are staying at a hotel tomorrow night in Northgate and she flies out sunday morning...

MrsBexie: thankyou for your support Hun, I'll go to the health shop today & get some fenugreek tea. I'll also try the cookies. I should get back on my vitamins too. I'll give everything a go & hopefully my supply builds up. I really appreciate your kind words, they mean alot to me xox

The fenugreek tea isn't actual tea leave either, they are whats called "kibbled" which is looks like it is little tiny rocks or something. They person at the health food shop should be able to tell you how to use it...

babyluv- please try some "Aktavite" you buy it from the milo section of the supermarket, im pretty sure its boosted my supply its an orange tin, its a chocolate drink full of vitamins have a glass every morning and im sure after 3 days hopefully you will have a good supply and on the tin it states that its for exspectant/nursing mums!
You havent failed Sienna hunny don't ever think that you are not given a handbook on how to raise a baby and be a good mum you do what you think is best for you and her, and can i please say im on my second baby and there are still things you learn everyday! :hug:

Well not much to report except Kaidyn slep really well lastnight he went 7-7.5hrs :) im sooo happy cause i feel abit better today, all ive done is stuck some nappy rash cream on him so woohoo for me

in the middle of feeding so bbs

before i go if anyone has a colicy baby (windy bub) try 3oz boiled water (cooled) with 3 drops of brandy it works :)

Csab- i agree with what Kirsten has said, dont beat yourself up over BFing, when you have been through alot its hard to BF...I had a very traumatic birth with DS1 to the point i almost died and BFing was hard i did it for 2wks and gave up i cried and cried and cired i too felt horrible for doing this but you know in the end we do whats right for our bubs and i just knew that bottle feeding was best for him and he is no different to any other child that was BF or bottlefed he is a healthy almost 3yr

Babyluv- what ive commented to Csab is the same for you hun, dont beat yourself up over formula feeding its not meant for everyone and there are many reasons why some mothers formula feed, as you read what i commented to csab about my first experience with BFing

kaylee- i hope you get better soon, its not fun when you get things like that its quite painful sending lots of :hug: 's your way!

Kirsten- Yay for going out for a walk, bet it was lovely to get out of the house and have some quality time with just you, DH and Ivy! BTW i LOVE her name :) im jealous you had a little girl! (infact im jealous of everyone who had a little girl)

Well today was my real first day of being home with both boys on my own and ive coped pretty well today but i must also say thankyou to DS1 for being such a good boy and a big help, he gives Kaidyn his dummy (new ones i bought that he actually accepts, they are natural nipple shaped ones so suppose to not interfere with BFing) and he was super cute and wanted to feed him a bottle of boiled water, with this heat here i think he's been just wanting a drink instead of milk so i gave some water and he accepted it well and drank half so we shall see how that goes :)

Babyluv: you haven't failed Sienna in the slightest. You are doing all you can to look after her and to be the best mummy ever. And you're doing an amazing job at it too. The other thing you need to do (which is virtually impossible) is to rest and sleep as much as you can, that helps build your milk supply too. lots of water and all of the other things Bexie suggested. And formula feeding isn't failing at all. There is a lot of pressure on mums to breastfeed because breast is best, but honestly formula isn't the worst thing you could give your baby. The pressure is the worst thing, a friend of mine couldn't BF either of her kids and she said she feels guilty every time she gets out the bottle in public and feels like she is getting judged all the time. People have no right to judge you especially if they have no idea what you've been through. You're doing a great job!!!

Bexie: aww those photos of Charlotte are so cute, I love them, she's adorable! Good luck with the drive to Brisbane, I'm sure you will get there safely.

Kaylee: boo to the infection, that's terrible! Hopefully you are on the mend now. Good luck with your photo shoot today - Can't wait to see the photos! :D

Csab: you are right you do have to stop beating yourself up about the BFing, you and Chloe have been through a lot and you are an amazing mum to be able to do what you're doing with her and also look after all of your other kids, not to mention recovering from a cs and all the issues you had that were associated with that!!! Excellent news on Chloe gaining weight too. Good on you.

Caixin: ooh i love the big smiles and the coos. they just melt your heart don't they :) Yay to Claire sleeping so well too. great news. I think you might have been right on the growth spurt, she seems to be sleeping a lot today after the feeding frenzy yesterday. she went to sleep at 11am and is still asleep now.

Mizqtie: wow thats a great sleep! bet you feel almost human!!!!!

DP and i went for a walk and out for lunch today, DS is at his nannas. so its been a lovely day so far, so nice to see the sun too after all of the rain we've had. my tomato bushes have loved all of the rain though, they are going mental!!

Babyluv: You're definitely not a failure by giving Sienna formula!! You're doing such a GREAT job holding up despite all the crying and lack of sleep. I felt the same when I had problems with my milk supply earlier on the first time I had to give Claire formula but then I realized later that it really doesn't matter, it wouldn't leave any dent at all in her life. What matters most is for her to grow up. Have you tried expressing after each feed to help increase ur supply? I found that to be really helpful. It's tough to keep up but I started to see some results within 3 days. I also made sure I ate enough coz I was getting anxious and that made my appetite drop. Then also definitely the resting... after a good 2-3 hrs sleep I always found my boobs to feel much fuller. I also took fenugreek capsules 1000mg three times a day after a feed. If the formula means she gets a longer sleep then by all means go for it coz it will mean you get some time to rest to build up ur supply.

csab: Yay to chloe putting on weight and your ultrasound all going well. :) My MW said the same thing about formula, that Nan might be less likely to cause constipation.

KayleeF: Ekks on the infection! Hope you're feeling better now.

Mrs Bexie: Hope u get to Brisbane safely and Charlotte is good for you in the car.

Kirsten: Claire did the sleep thing yesterday then started the feeding thing again today. I'm trying to tell myself it's another growth spurt to get me through the lack of sleep. LOL. Good on you for noticing ur garden. I haven't had a chance to admire my garden yet. Actually, I haven't been out of the house at all besides to the clinic and hospital since the birth coz my mum and MIL wouldn't allow me out till one month.

I thought babies were meant to sleep and feed but Claire just looks at me with big wide awake eyes wanting someone to talk to her. Not fun at 12 midnight when I've got a spliting headache.

Well we got to Brisbane fine, went a longer way but it was a gorgeous scenic route so the drive was lovely! We went to chermside and got sushi and starbucks mmm... And Charlotte slept the car trip and shopping for 2hrs! But now she is awake and not so happy so I am feeding her again! Fed her like 4 times so far and she'll fall asleep but then scream if I take the boob off her. We're bout to go out for dinner so hopefully she stays asleep now!!

Hey Girls no persies sorry. Xani had her photoshoot today FX we got some good shots! She has been so unsettled since yesterday afternoon a completely different bub I don't understand what I'm doing wrong she was such a good eater & sleeper and now she won't sleep at all. I'm exhausted and have been in tears since we got home from our session. She also has developed a really gunky eye I'm assuming it's a blocked tear duct and I've been washing it with saline and EBM but it's not helping, anyone have any suggestions??

Shellybean: Sienna had the gunky eye, very common in newborns, persevere with the EBM it will clear up, Siennas took about 2 weeks. I hope she has settled now so that you can get some sleep!

wow i think Kaidyn gets little bits of like white stuff in the corner of his eyes i thought it was just sleep but maybe he has blocked tear ducts too

The blocked tear duct Sienna had was yellow and goopy.

i cant remember with DS1, but when Sienna crys does she have tear's??

i think they look identical too, just the older boy has abit chubbier face!

No she doesn't have tears yet, her eyes get watery at times but no actual tears yet, I wonder when they have tears.
It's amazing how alike they look :) so cute!
My sisters boys were the same but now look nothing alike.

phew see even though i have a 3yr old, its still easy to forget what they are like/what happens when they are babies!

Wow, it'll be interesting if these two grow up and look alike!

Mizqtie: your boys are gorgeous, they look so alike! My Georgia has tears already, i didnt think they were supposed to have them straight away?

Shelly: Georgia gets a greeny yellow gunky eye after a sleep, i didnt even think of blocked tear duct, but if her tear duct was blocked would that mean she wouldnt get tears from that eye? Coz she does, bah so much of this baby stuff just makes me confused! I've just been wiping it with a cotton ball or tissue with some EBM (if i can get some out!) on it. Hope Xani is just having a grumpy few days or a growth spurt and it doesnt last too long :hug:

Bex: glad your drive to brissie went smoothly, sounds like Charlotte is great in the car! Havnt had a chance to look at your pics yet but looking forward to seeing them! I think i must be the only one not getting a newborn photo shoot :shakehead: but i'm planning on getting one at 2-3 months old when she's smiling and showing more personality.

Caixin: Lol to Claire just wanting someone to talk to her, sounds like she's very alert and showing great development! Are you dying to get out of the house yet? I think i may go mad if i couldnt get out and about and do stuff!

Kirsten: aw sounds like you had a nice break with your walk :) i braved my first walk around the block yesterday (was nice to have 5 mins to myself!) but came back pretty sore :( how did you feel after your walk? No hurty undercarraige?

I must say, fenugreek is a funny funny word!! Love it! As for us, Georgia eats and eats and eats and sleeps and looks around and eats... oh and does lots of number 3's... lol. I'm having trouble getting her to take EBM from the bottle tho, she had 2 bottles last week and loved them, now today and yesterday i've had to tip them out coz she just wont have a bar of it! Might try get some different bottles with slower flowing teats and different shapes and sizes to see how she goes, i really want her to take a bottle from DH. Gonna go along to a nurserytime thing at our local library on monday morning for newborn-2yr olds, looking forward to that coz ive heard it's really good and i'll be able to meet other mums in the area, and i'll already know someone there so i wont be all on my own (dh will be sleeping from nightshift). Exciting, scary and confusing times!

little-Mrs- im not getting newborn shoots either, i did with my first son and look back now and wish i had waited till he was around 6 months so that way he could smile and sit on his own!
This time im going to wait till around 6 months so i can get some good photos of kaidyn and zak together :)

Little Mrs: I got a newborn shoot done because I wanted to get the photos when she is squishy and small, my sister will do another on at around 6mths old when we go to Perth for my cousins wedding.. and I wn't have to pay her! LOL.
I can't walk yet... my undercarriage is still aching heaps but not stinging anymore... and my left hip/bum is stuffed so I am limping like crazy and it hurts soo bad to walk! Definitely not going to make it worse! Yay to the nursery thingy! It'll be great to meet some other mums!!! C eats, sleeps, screams and sometimes has awake time.. but usually if she is awake she is screaming for boobies! LOL. So your having fennugreek? Is that to increase your supply? With bottles, I have heard the Avent newborn teats are the best... they are slow flow (one hole) and are most like the nipple... I wouldn't know personally because when I express I use a medicine syringe and put it on the inside of her cheek instead of using a bottle.


We went out for dinner tonight and gt amazing pizza! Charlotte slept the whole way through dinner so has had a pretty god day except the little tanty around 6-7pm. LOL.. hopefully she is going to be good overnight too!!!! She is in our bed tonight cause we are in a hotel and she usualy sleeps well with us.

Does anyone feel bad now for eating junk food?? Eating pizza tonight made me feel guilty because now I am not pg and trying to lose baby weight I feel like I shouldn't be eating pizza, choc, ice cream etc... Pretty much anything but salad /fruit/veg makes me feel guilty, no excuse now I am not pg. I really should be eating healthy stuff now and exercising if my stupid hip/leg would actually work!!! I don't fit ANY of my pre pg clothes... not even close to it!! And I am self concious of my belly... it's not even a pg belly anymore, just a little pot belly but I never had one before and it's annoying me now. Trying to not get to down on myself for my body but it's hard. And mum goes home tomorrow, DH goes back to work on monday and I am scared of being alone!!! What am I going to do without them?! What am I going to do all day?? What if C just screams all day?? I have no one to call or to come round... I am starting to freak now :(

Little_mrs: Sienna does lots of number 3's too hehe, they're really loud and she does heaps of loud farts too :)
We are using the tommee tippee close to nature bottles, the teat circumference is bigger to resemble a normal breast, give them a go, Sienna didn't like the smaller teats.
Nurserytime will be fun, enjoy :) Hope you meet some nice ppl.
We got the newborn shots because the lady who does them through the hospy takes great shots & is fairly priced. I also wanted photos of her nudey & sleepy which can only really be done before 2 weeks old.

MrsBexie: I feel really guilty everytime I eat something naughty.
I've cut out chocolate completely & dairy too in case they make Sienna's reflux or colic worse, so I'm hoping I lose some weight. I'm trying really hard not to eat junk but I had maccas yesterday :(

My belly is jelly & do is everything else, I feel like it's going to take alot of work to get back into shape. I'm my friends bridesmaid in April & I want to look good for that, it's a strapless dress, right now my arms are gross, gosh I hope they slim down.

I'm scared about Dave going back to work too, we still have 2 weeks though but I'm wondering what I'll do without him and its scary being at home all day on my own. You're a great mum, you'll be fine, and we are all here too if you need us :)

AFM: we went to the pub for dinner with my family tonight, got nearly all the way through dinner, fed the little chicken & then she started screaming from reflux so we had to go home. But it was a good night and we had A few hrs to just enjoy ourselves before she got upset.
I fed her again at 9:45, she cried and was unsettled for about an hr & then fell asleep. She just woke me now at 3:45, I can't believe it, that's 6hrs between feeds and she only had booby, no top up :) woohoo!!
I've been expressing after every feed to try & build my supply, let's hope it works. I haven't got the fenugreek yet, does anyone know if it makes you gain weight?

Bex: I'm not taking fenugreek, i just think it's a ridiculous word! I'm bigger than I was pre prey but I've found most days I can look in the mirror and think " I look damn good for someone that had a baby just 2 weeks ago!" I feel guilty eating junk too specially since I'm still not up for excersize but I don't have any of the sweet cravings I was having while pg. Helps too that Dave keeps telling me I look amazing and tapping me on the shoulder every night (yeah right, as if that's gonna happen lol) so I'm feeling pretty good about it all even with 15kg still to lose.

Babyluv: thats a fantastic sleep! And yay for not needing a ff topup before it, that's awesome news! Maybe the expressing is working for you, it worked for me too and now I can get 100ml out of 1 boob if G sleeps for a few hrs to let it build up a bit.

Mizqtie: aw pics of your boys together will be awesome!

G's just finished a feed and now were doing the waiting sleeping thing, she looks so cute all asleep with my boob as a pillow! Dh goes back to work tomorrow night so will be first time over 4 hrs on my own with G, I'm not so worried about the nights it's the day shifts I think I'll struggle, but I've gov til wed to figure that one out. Hope anyone else up at this hour feeding like me has a relaxed sleepy bub soon!

Little mrs: I was awake!! But I forgot my phone charger so was trying to preserve battery! Lol... I've got 12% left. And Charlotte is doing the asleep thing using my boob as her pillow. She is much more settled if I just leave her there instead of moving her back into bed. Fennugreek is a funny name hey?? Lol.

Babyluv: you're not a fatty and I know that from photos of you!!! Just like little mrs said, we should be proud considering we only just had babies! Easy to say, ridiculously hard to follow tho. I have to keep reminding myself, it took 9 months to put it on so I shouldn't expect it to come off in 13 days.... Sucks tho!
Yay for 6hrs!!!! That is awesome!!!!! Hopefully it keeps up!

Ive never tried even heard of fenugreek till now i swear by that Aktavite from the supermarket its like $4.99 or something close to that for the tin and im tellin ya ive noticed a difference in milk supply

Mrs Bexie: You shouldn't beat urself about ur body just yet. It's only been less than 2 wks since u gave birth. You're right about the weight taking 9 months to put on so you've really got 9 months to try to lose it. I've still got 12 kg to lose but at the moment I'm just trying to focus on eating well and enough so I can make enough milk for bubs. I use a belly band for my tummy to try to help it get back to shape faster, it's something that a lot of Chinese women use.

Mizqtie: I think ur 2 boys look really alike! Would think they are the same baby if you didn't say so. Claire just started getting tears yesterday, before that she would cry but no tears.

Shellybean: Claire gets the gunky eye sometimes and I just keep up with washing it with EBM. Should be nothing to worry about unless the eye gets red or looks irritated. Hopefully the unsettledness is gone today. Can't wait to see the photos!

Babyluv: I don't know what I'll do without you guys too. It's just so nice to know that my baby is not the only one crying all night or I'm not the only one in tears coz I don't know what to do. Yay for 6 hours between feeds! You must be having more milk to keep her satisfied. :)

Little mrs: I was really keen to go out initially but now that I haven't gone to the shops for 3 weeks, I'm really scared abut going out for some reason. Might continue to be my hermit crab for a while. Nurserytime sounds great! I'll have to remember to try to give Claire the bottle again so she doesn't forget. We've got the Avent bottles but the MW at the lactation clinic recommended I try Tommee Tippee ones for newborns. I'm not getting newborn shots either, will prob get some done when she can sit up.

I worry about what happens when the gang leaves too. SO used to having my meals done for me, laundry washed and folded, and someone to take over crying bubs when I'm tired. I'm not sure when I'll be game enough to bring bubs out on my own either. Will be looking fwd to meeting other mums at mother's group though coz otherwise there won't be any grown up talk for me till DH gets back from work.
DH has come down with a cold so he's quarantined from Claire for now. Made him wear a mask around the house and sleep downstairs. Had a great sleep yesterday afternoon when I had Claire sleeping on my chest. Loved it, might have to do it more often. :)
