Hi Kim, and welcome to December babies. Sounds like Zara is doing really well!
Charlysmum, sooo sorry that Charly is having trouble settling. Does she like being patted? Natalie did for a while, though now she is much more independent and hates it. She gets cross if I do it now.
Linz, aw, sorry Laila is a night-owl Once she goes to sleep she does pretty well, doesn't she?
I'm with you, Liz. I'd like to wait a while before #2... But if I'm to be really honest with everyone, I am only now starting to *really* enjoy Natalie. I mean I have always loved her, and we had some lovely fun times, but she is just a delight to me now
Wow Chantal - 10pm through to 8am?! How awesome!!! Sounds like a winner routine. Does she not have an afternoon sleep? I can't keep Natalie awake in the afternoons - if we are in the car or stroller or whatever when 1:30-2:30pm rocks around, she just closes her eyes and drifts off. If she's up, she just loses the plot
Well, our night times have been infinitely better around here... I have put my foot down and decided there will be a maximum of two bfeeds between 7pm and 7am. She usually wakes around 10:30/11pm for a feed, then 2-3:30am for resettle and either goes through til 7, or wakes at 5 for another feed and sleeps til at least 8. I'm so happy with that atm - it is bliss after so many weeks of 2ish-hourly wakings! And hopefully, as is seeming to be the case, the resettling will get quicker and quicker... (oh please...)
Our routine is looking a little bit like this:
6:30-7:30am - Wake, bfeed
8:30am - brekky
9:30-10am - down for sleep
11-12ish - wake, bfeed
12:30-1ish - lunch
1:30-2 - down for sleep
3-4pm wake, bfeed
5pm - dinner
6pm - bath
6:30pm - bfeed
7pm - bed

I would love to just give a late feed at 10:30/11pm, then have her sleep through til 7, but I think that's probably aiming a little high at this stage Still waking 2 or 3 times lately. We'll see what pattern she falls into over the next couple of weeks... Do you think I'm asking too much of her?
