    Hi

Great to hear what all the babies are doing, I know Charly as been keeping me busy.

Charly still has no teeth, yesterday started doing actions to twinkle twinkle little star. Very talkative loves talking to people. Has started crawling with one knee and a foot. Has walked up all the stairs now which is 2 sets of 10 steps, has bruises under her knees where they hit the stairs. Is trying to climb everything, doesn't like falling on her bum, so is learning to bend the knees and put her hands down to get back to the floor.

Well she needs so attention now so have to go.

Gee it's so quiet around here these days!
Great to hear what everyone's babes are up to!
Had a sh*t night last night, Noah's got a snotty nose and couldn't get in a very deep sleep. Spent the entire night in bed with us, tossing & turning and grissling. Still only slept for 30mins this morning though!
I think he's getting more teeth, because aside from the boogery nose, he's his normal self. He's got 4 now, the two middle bottom and two middle top. And they are some big chompers he's got too, poor kid!
Still nowhere near close to crawling, he shows no interest whatsoever! He doens't seem to like pulling his legs underneath himself at all. He is very "in" to pulling himself up on your hands though, weird kid!
Just wondering if any of the babies can use a "sippy" cup by themselves? I have to laugh when I watch Noah try, he just doesn't seem to "get" that he needs to tip it up more to get anything out of it. He holds it fine and knows the general idea, just can't get it quite right. I wonder if he'd had a bottle, if he'd be better at it?
I start back at work at the end of October, which I'm not looking forward to, but then again am at the same time. Finally got it all worked out which is a great weight off my shoulders! Both MIL and SIL offered to watch him a few times a week, then reneged, which threw us all in to turmoil. Luckily my mum's going to watch him 2 half days a week, so he doesn't have to go into child care. And I don't feel too guilty as I'm not leaving him for great lengths of time. Plus he LOVES my mum (not so keen on the MIL though), so that's good.
    Where is everyone?

Sounds like Charly's on her way to walking!
Oh Lauren, I hope you had a better night last night... Hopefully it is just teeth and they come through quickly. IKWYM about going back to work... I will be looking for a job after this holiday and while I feel really sad that I'll be leaving Natty, I'm also really looking forward to the time away. Its funny, hey. Sorry about your in-laws stuffing you around. Great that your mum has stepped in.
Good on Laila for getting on her hands and knees - it won't be long before she's crawling, Linz! Yeah, IKWYM about tiles being scary - we're going to have to invest in some of those gates.
Well, it'll be a couple of weeks before I talk to y'all next, so hope all mums and bubs have a H&H few weeks. Lots of love to all. xx

Probably too late Amy, but have a great holiday, ya lucky duck!!

Mayas playing really well by herself lately, so cute to watch her crawling around to each thing then picking stuff up and talking to it. I can see she is going to have a wonderful imagination with playing.

    Hope everyone is well

Well Charly has been letting Dad put her to sleep in the last week, if she is biteing and not going to sleep for me DH takes over and she is asleep in about 15 minutes.

Charly is trying to sing along with the nursery rhymes.

Giving me lots of scares on the stairs, I was putting some dishes in the dishwasher, she was on the other side of the counter the next minute/second I heard her at the top of the stairs. So funny when I shadow her up the stairs she brings one of her hands up to grab my hand and put it on the stairs with hers, like she is showing me how to climb the stairs LOL.

Need some ideas on what to feed her in the evening to give her some meat in her diet, she not a big vegie fan but loves friut. Will go search the forum and web.

Tried giving her weet bix yesterday not a big fan but by distracting her got her to eat some, but she was very weezy after so think I will hold off before giving her more.

Know how you feel Lauren I start back at work 2 October my conversation/thinking skills have lapse it the past year. They have found me a desk in Ipswich office which is 5 minutes from mum, but will have to go in to Brisbane on the first day, which will be the hardest.

This month has gone so fast. Will need to do a few thing while she is happy in her cot.

    Heres some recipes that my Mums group has passed around, I've just cut and pasted these;

    Beef + vegies
Cooked minced beef with mushrooms, carrot and green capsicum

    Chicken, rice + vegies
Cooked chopped chook with corn, zucchini, carrot, onion, tomato, green capsicum, handful of baby spinach + rice

    Bolognese
    pasta (broken up)
    lean minced beef,
    1 tomato finely chopped,
    1/4 finely chopped onion,
    1 tbsp tomato paste,
    1 tbsp water,
    1 tbsp grated cheese,
( i use non salted butter to cook it all up)

    Tomato & chicken casserole:
    1` tsp olive oil
    small onion
    carrot
    ground oregano
    small potato
    2 tsp peas
    1 tbsp chopped chicken
    2 tsp tomato puree
1 tbsp haricot or butter beans (tinned)
    5 tbsp water.

Heat olive oil, fry onion, carrot and oregano. Add potato, peas, chicken, tomato puree, beans and water and simmer for 20 minutes. Puree.

On the weekends the other thing I have done is make a stew, for example:
Veal, carrot, celery and parnsip –
chop into chunks, add water and simmer for a couple of hours, drain the stock (I keep it and mix it with plain vegies for more flavour) and then blend.
Lamb, pumpkin, potato and sweet potato –
    same directions as above.
Chicken, carrot, celery and pumpkin –
    same directions as above.

    Hope this helps you

I also tried today an avocado and banana mash, Maya liked it! This is great for bubs as they are two foods that have a lot of goodness in them.

Thanks Chon will try them out. Charly loves advocado and banana/pear giving her a break at the moment as she ate it all last week.

PC good luck, I'm still waiting for AF, think it the one time in my life I wish it would hurry up so I could get PG.

Great recipes chon! With the bolognese I recommend Risonni though. That way you don't need to break up the pasta (I was chopping macaroni in half! Gets very old very quickly!)
Good luck PC & Charly's mum

Glad if it helps anyone. I just look at what everyone else is doing then make my own combos, like you have suggested Lotusflower with the pasta.

Can anyone help me with a chart site to use because now that I am on no contraceptives I want to chart my cycles so I can work out when its safe and not safe, I don't want to conceive yet and I don't want to go on anymore pills and stuff as it just stuffs up my system. Also when is it safe to DTD and avoid getting pregnant?

Goodluck with those trying to conceive, hope its your month!!!

    Hi Everyone

I have some sad news, 'Princess Confused' Linz has left BB . All her posts have been removed so a lot of our posts may look strange for those who havent read our thread for a while (eg. Snacks - when she comes back from her holiday).

I was writing a response private message to Linz, to the one she sent me, but by the time I had finished it she had already gone, if anyone knows her email could they please ask her if its alright if I contact her as it would of been nice to say goodbye.

    This is what she wrote to me;
Hi, could you please let the other ladies know that I am leaving BB as from today. I have asked mods to remove my posts, threads etc. I feel sad that I wont be able to talk to you ladies anymore but I feel its the right thing to do now that 2 gitls here on BB are trying to make my life hell. Thankyou for all the support & goodluck in the future.
Did anyone see conflict with her and anyone else as I must of missed it........

Sorry to hear about Linz, I never seen anything, I usually don't have much time and just check in here when I get a chance.

Charly had her 6 months needles today, seems fine at the moment. Let the doctor know I wouldn't be getting the next lot until she is 2 years she suggested I could leave the MRR but get the other one at least by this time next year. She was good didn't question my decision, thank god because I didn't wont an agruement.

    Wgt 9.15 kg
    Length 75 cm

Hasn't but on much weight since her 7 month check up 8.5 kg, but is getting taller.

    Glad everything's ok there Shez!
    Sounds like Charly's growing well!
Noah has an appointment in a few weeks, will be interesting to see what the porker weighs now!
Oh I should add he started saying "Mama" and "Bubba" on Wednesday, completely out of the blue. He pulls the most adorable face when saying them, all puckered lips.

Glad to hear everything is alright Shez, must of been stressful. So yes, RELAX!!

Good to hear CHarly is going well. I must get Maya weighed, just out of interest.

How exciting to hear Noah saying words!!! I think Maya is saying ducks as she loves the yellow ducks in the bath and I say it over and over what it is and also with her bath book I say BOOK, but ducks seems to be her first word.

My DP usually rings at some stage during the day and I put him on speaker phone to Maya, we are fairly certain she said DAD, my friend was here as well and she thought it was definitely. Exciting times now, hey?

oh oh shes just woken up, bottle time! Catch up with everyone soon.

    KNOCK KNOCK, ANYONE HERE???

Gosh its been quiet, I suppose with Amy 'Snacks' away and Princess Confused leaving we are forgetting about our thread! Gotta keep it alive everyone.

But then saying that I'm not sure what to post........

One thing I have done this week is join 'FaceBook', I love it as I can upload heaps of pictures and send the link to family and friends.

At mums & Bubs group yesterday one of the bubs stood up BY HERSELF!!! she stood for about 3 seconds. It was amazing.

Anyway hope to hear from you guys soon.

Sorry I have been absent, have had a cold this week and Charly has been waking before me.

It is great when they stand by them selfs, Charly does it for a few seconds. It was funny a couple of weeks ago one of the mums at Mothers Group was say how her boy is standing by himself (about 6 weeks old them Charly) he as been crawling for months, Charly must of heard and went and stood with one of the Mums and them let go for a good 20 seconds. The longest I have seen, stands all the time for Dad, but Dad has always had a trick where he stands her in the palm of his hand and she balances there really freaks people out (been doing it since she was 3 months).

She is a mum's girl this week, left her with granma for about an hour as she will be there next week and need to get use to her cousins. When came back sneaked up to the window and check out what was happening, Charly was very happy drinking her water and then raspberry all over her cousins. Didn't miss me until she seen me.

Well know she is awake I had better go.
