Lauren - I don't have wisdom teeth to say that LOL (wisdom teeth are just missing! I keep saying I'm one step ahead of everyone in the evolutionary chain LOL) but I could explain what my prob is to the GP anyway. I don't like AB but it's just not practical for me to try and see dentists and specialists and things at the moment. Oh.. and as for the crown - glad I didn't pay for it first time around! Just got a dodgy big grey thing there at the moment I think LOL.

I'm still a domestic goddess at the moment.. I'm pretty proud of myself actually. Have got a good routine going with making the beds! I NEVER make beds.. but since I've been doing it (only takes a few seconds really) it makes me do a quick tidy up of the bedroom at the same time.. so the bedrooms are staying tidy! Love it! And we're well on top of the kitchen and Tallon loves helping me too.. reminds me to make the beds LOL and puts his blocks away by himself too *shock*. Won't rely on that one happening for too long tho LOL.

I'm actually about to search the slow cooker thread. A tip from me: using the SC in the morning, means you can clean up the kitchen, and it's done for the day.. so hardly anything to do after dinner. And if you have leftovers.. it stays clean the next day too coz you don't need to cook!

ETA: ooh! my new avvy! Bathsheba did it for me.. clever girl

Thanks for the information regarding the little green square.

Alicia ? Unfortunately screaming is apart of vocalization and it seems that girls do it more than boys?I am saying this by comparing different friends children who have had girls and boys. My DD1 did this all the time and yes it took my ages to get used to the noise. Fortunately it came in phases, so I got a break.

Liz ? you poor thing with that horrible tooth ache. I hope you get better soon. I am a mummless mum and believe me I so get jealous when I am out shopping and I see other mums with grandma in toe to help?At least I have a super Dad DH to help out and he works from home.

Nic ? Pft to your MIL

Morgan ? Loren grabs my face and scratches all the time, I don?t remember Sara doing this either. Oh and does she have a temper!!!! Boy o boy what am I in for when she turns 2

oh dear both my girls have runny noses and are coughing in their sleeps today...bugga, just when I thought it was safe to get Loren's needles done.

Question re solids: How do you lovely ladies make corn or pea puree without the rough skins?

When I give banana to Loren she scratches her throat with her tongue and also pokes her tongue out as if it were itchy. Do you think this could be an allergy?

I am going to look up the Fly lady thingo once I have my house in a bit more order!!!!

heh BekZ - Fly lady is meant to help get it in order Altho, I did find it easier to do my massive cleanup and then do flylady to try and get some habits forming.

Liz - I have just moved house so I need to do some more unpacking etc and then I may feel like being a domestic godess!!!! DH would rather I be a bedroom godess!!!

btw - We have had to drop Loren's cot because she is pulling herself up. As soon i put her down she gets back up...this is making sleep time fun. I haveeven put her in the sleeping bag but she still gets up

    Hi all,
Ohh Liz I love your new avatar... very cool

Beks- FlyLady is my new idol Yay to Loren for standing up, clever girl. My CHN suggested creamed corn and Ty seems to love it. We haven't tried peas yet, I might do that this week. With the banana, I'd keep an eye on it but maybe it's the texture that's bothering her? Or perhaps that furry feeling some bananas can put on your tongue after you eat them?

Nic- Your mil sounds like a horror.. and I thought mine was bad...

Hmm Ty is awake and his cot squealing his head off and giggling hysterically... and as I typed that he started crying, I better go get him...

Bek - i hear you on the temper i shudder every time i think about Vicky being 2. In regards to peas & corn try the creamed corn like Lori suggested and for peas try split peas. Mind you Vicky was eating normal peas & corn off my plate last night with no probs. Wow at Loren pulling herself up, she must have really good muscles.

I dont know if this is just for Qld but Big W has boxes of Huggies for $30 atm.

    hi everyone,

been awol for quite a while.

mirani is growing really well, trying to crawl atm but just ends up rolling around on the floor and then screaming when she gets stuck.

she now has her 2 bottom teeth, and looks too cute for words.

she got tonsilitis a few weeks back and then teeth straight after, so our house was not full of happy campers. alisha's been sick on and off with colds, so she's constantly booger-girl atm.

the depression thing, i think has resolved itself for the time being. but having dp off work atm is hard.

also whats the pressie exchange thing about? would like to be involved, and know more.

    take care everyone

also, finger food at 7 months, whats ok and not ok? mirani loves her food and hates not eating with the rest of us.

Hey Michelle - So glad you popped in. I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were going. Sorry to hear that you've had a rough time with sickness, there is nothing worse than a sick household. I am glad that your pnd has subsided, hopefully it will stay away. I really struggled last month with my moods, but I feel ok atm. Not sure about finger food. I can remember someone mentioning steamed carrot sticks though. Miss Loren is not very interested in food so we are still only testing the waters with basic stuff atm.

I decided yesterday im gonna go back to tafe and study! I used to work at a nursing home when my old boss was taking so much time off work i needed the extra money and i really loved it, so im gonna do aged care cert. at tafe in Feb next yr so mum can start having Ash. and i asked about the price and it was only $155!! because my healthcare card! woot.. so i got really excited and decided im going to take advantage of having it and do lots of courses, there heaps of nursing ones i have wanted to do for soooo long! yay.

LOL - that's cute Nic. I haven't given Kayla a heaps shallow bath for her to just splash around in. That might save my back! I usually help her sit up in it.. and it comes up to her belly. It's shallow enough for her to play on her tummy, but too deep to let go of her, if that makes sense. She'd dip her head in too easily at that depth.

Olivia stuck her head in the first time I let go of her and spluttered and carried on.. I felt so bad.. but no she rolls over before I have let go of her completely and even puts her face really close to the water but doesn't stick her head in anymore

I sat Olivia in the bath the other day but I stuck an old cloth nappy under her.. it worked for a bi but I didn't move my hands away from her,,

Yeah, I've got little octopus non slip things that I sit her on heheh. I used to use the washcloth, but someone always yanked it out, either her or Tallon hehe.

    Hi all,
Wow that's so cute Nic I still hold Ty like a newborn when I bath him, I've got one of those bath seath thingys but i'm too scared to use it!

Michelle- Welcome back. Glad the pnd is going ok. You poor thing with bubs being sick, there is nothing worse.

Morgan- Thanks for that, I'm off doing groceries today so I'll have to check out Big W.

Lauren- Good on you with TAFE, I've been thinking about going back next year to finish off my social work studies (I did half a degree at uni and I'm now paying HECS for a bit of paper I don't even have!)

Hmmm... I'm off to a lingerie party tonight. I really can't afford any lingerie and God knows when I would actually use it. But it's my best friend hosting so I have to go. And dh can't babysit (no milk to leave with him anyway, only enough for work tomorrow) so Ty is coming too. What a pain in the butt, right on bath time and bed time at 6pm. Much as I love my bestie, she has no kids and just doesn't get what a drama it is, especially when he's not 100 % well. On the upside, I'll actually be using the portacot for the first time. All you more experienced mums- what bedding should I take for the portacot? Do I need sheets and stuff or just a blankey and a sleeping bag?

Nic - that shallow water is a good idea, save lots of water, i put ash in the bath ring now.. he LOVES it can play with all his toys whilst i take piccies.. LOL
