Nic - I hate shopping with the girls too. Today was a nightmare at the shops. It was just too busy and Loren screamed the whole time. Mind you I took her temp when we got home and it is 37.6!! Her nose is runny and she has a cough. 5 teeth OMG, poor Olivia.

Good night last night. Only 2 get ups and she self settled twice.

Going to gf's place tonight for a catch up...can't wait I'll be child free for a few hours. Assumimg Loren's temp doesn't get worse.

oh and Sara has refused to have a daytime sleep for the 5th day in a row....poor me....no more quiet time during the day

Sofia hated the Raffety's banana porridge, haven't tried the others. She loves the hienz apple and mango cereal though. When can we start giving the bubs weatbix?

I read in my baby book 9 months plus for wheetbix

I wondered the same thing about Weetbix.. I might leave it anther month..

yay I can start, much easier to feed the kids the same thing in the morning, Sofia has had a few spoons and loved it, this morning I gave her a few milk soaked cheerios and she nearly flew out of her high chair to get more.

:cry: I sorted her clothes.. one full garbage bag to go to a good home and I took out a handful of things to give to either my sister or a friend.. sniff sniff.. She is all grown up now..

so now I have 10 drawers of clothes still :lol: i will change her twice a day every day lol...

Ethan has a friend over tonight so I am letting them stay up a bit later.. The 3 little ones are in bed asleep

Hi girls,
i havent been in here for ages. Ethan is now 7 months old and still no sign of teeth. He can sit up now but still isnt crawling. So he is offically my baby baby. The other 3 were all crawling by now. He is starting to sleep a little bit better when he doesnt have a cold - how long until winter ends again?? I prefer winter to summer but it appears that my little boys dont. Ethan eats weetbixes for breakfast and has done for nearly a month now. He loves them eats a whole one now. I wish he would eat home cooked food. He has to have it with no lumps at all otherwise he throws it up at me. Drives me insane. I dont buy them ones with meat in it as he wont eat that but when i get him to eat mashed potato i put some gravy over it. Does the same thing and he chews lumps of meat at meal times. The health nurse actually gave me some good advice that i hadnt gotten before. She said to leave the mashed potato, custard or yoghurt until tea time as it is a bit harder and settles in their bellies making them the fullest for the best sleeps of a night time. Ethan has been sleeping alot better since then.
We are off to the train musem open day tomorrow as we get in for free. Ethan will get to see the inside for the first time since he was born. Jack loves going he is obsessed with trains at the moment.
Hope all the sick bubs get better soon and that they all sleep well tonight.

I have Olivia's needles done on friday soI weighed her (nudie) and she weighs 7.2kg and is 67cm in lenght she has no teeth at all yet either

I must admit, I was a bit worried re the teeth, especially as Sof was nearly 9 months, but she is otherwise healthy and eating ok. The outfit is actually overall over an espirit skivy, it is one of my favourites as well. She does have a similar outfit in a pinafore dress

Hi everyone, Thankyou for all your thoughts. The funeral is on tuesday so Im leaving to Adelaide at 4am! and wont get back home till around midnight that day so its gonna be a LONG day. I cant believe how many people in my family are going to be there, and some I have never seen before so as I said to my nanna its great we can get together at last as a family and Ash will meet everyone for the first time, but so sad it had to be under these circumstances.

I just wanted to post as I have got everyones details for the birthday pressie /secret santa thing.. and i have just emailed Haroula who should be back from holidays so i will wait till she messages me and tell everyone who they got, im just letting everyone know last chance to put ur name in now if you want in. But please dont feel pressured anyone.. im not telling everyone whos in it so no one feels bad for not being part.

Im moving back to the old house today with the 3 dogs - ahhh fun! and staying there till wednesday then moving back to new house.. crazy!
Ash is almost crawling now, he sits upright then leans forward and crawls a few times then falls. He now calls for me and says mum and as of yesterday, nanna :)

I got mad at my family last year as this is what we all did.. My Grandmum died and all of a sudden all her grandkids were there.. I felt like smacking them and saying why didn't you make the effort before she died.. anyways... Sorry you have to go through it.. Your Pop died on Grandmums 1yr anniversary.. :hug:

Las night I was woken at 1am by Olivia crying in her sleep.. This is the 2nd time she as done it, last time I picked her up as she was so sad but she became inconsolable.. so this time I stood beside her cot patting her back and whispering quietly to her :( it was so sad.. 45 minutes it went on for.. poor baby..

4am she woke for a feed then 6... lucky thing is back in bed now..

its a little chilly here this morning. I turned the heater off and opened some windows and now Jacob and I are cold!!

ella's still got no teeth, but has been in terrible pain with teething for over a week now. The worst ones seem to be the molars which won't come thru yet, so will be curious to see what happens. Think that was behind the early morning wakeups which nothing could console. I hardly ever give her drugs, but have had to keep up a steady supply of panadol (day) & nurofen (night - lasts longer). i hate doing it, but she's just in so much pain & is not herself. We're holding out til she just can't cope & then giving her the bare minimum.
Can't believe my little girl sat up & chomped on a piece of chicken (from our chinese takeaway - naughty me) & celery. So excited she's finally into food that I'm breaking all sorts of rules. No allergies in our fam & I sucked off all the sauce - she loved it.
Yay for Rafferty's I say. It's a winner here, and I know it's good for her!

I think Ella's got that dress you guys were talking about too - is it Max & Tilly? If it is I just bought a pair of shoes online that match it. Very cute! :)

We've actually had some good night's sleep here - miss just wakes for a feed. That's when I give the nurofen & then she's going thru mostly til 6.30. It's so nice to get some sleep at last. I dunno what will happen when she's not being doped, but I"ll enjoy it for now. Giving her a chance to put herself to sleep seems to be working so far. She goes off with a tiny grumble after 5 min or so most times. Mummy is so much happier and so is Daddy! :lol:

Jus- Bet Ella loved her Chinese :) We are being a bit naughty here too- had a chunk of frozen mango today. Not supposed to but he's alreadt had that apple and mango gel so I figured we'd be ok. Loved it too.
Hmmm Ty is not sitting up yet and has no teeth. I'm not worried about the teeth- still bfing so the longer he is gummy the better!! But the sitting up is starting to worry me. I know he can do it but he just doesn't seem to want to- he'd rather be on his belly on the floor. Almost crawling. He tries to move forward on his hands and knees but ends up faceplanting.
We had Ty's christening yesterday. It was such a long day and he was such a trooper, very well behaved as long as mum was holding him- velcro baby. My arms are so sore today. Got lots of very groovy presents, some cool new toys, and a whole stack of silver moneyboxes and photo frames- 11 altogether :rolleyes:

We're back from holidays and it was fantastic.. ! Chrissie did so well! Am really proud of my girl.. while away she went from being held seated to sitting all on her own and NOT falling over in 2 days!! WOW we also got a tooth! wooohooooo When you hold her by the arms she walks to you!! so impressed!

She did real well travelling too!.. such a trooper!!

I'm in for the pressies!

At the moment am finding it hard to keep up with posting and getting things back in order from the holidays! Now that Chrissie is sitting up it's easier to move her from room to room, so hope that i'll be able to check in a little more!

Lori - Tallon sat before crawling, but Kayla seems to have crawled before sitting. If I sit her up she doesn't really last that long.. like she doesn't want to. But she's now starting to sit herself up from crawling on her tummy... so it is possible for them to crawl before sitting heh. I'm sure Ty will get it soon :)

Sorry, can't really stay and catch up properly.. have had a busy weekend and we're all trying to catch up on sleep and housework!

Wow Haroula, you go away and look what happens - teeth and sitting. We are off to visit my family on Thursday so maybe we will get teeth too although I think, like LoriRae, the longer she is gummy the better considering she is STILL biting. Not at every feed but just about - sigh.

Monique sits up pretty much all day but doesn't have any interest rolling around the floor and will tolerate some tummy time. She is really strong but no sign of crawling.

Gosh I am tired today. She has been waking through the night since just after 5 months and it is all catching up with me. Totally zonked.

Liz- That makes me feel better :) Ty's a shorty so I think that's a bit of the problem with sitting- he can't reach anything sitting up. And he's always loved his tummy time, even as a newborn. It's his favorite position to be in.

We have swim lessons today for the first time in six weeks! I changed the time we go so that Ty can have a morning nap first- he was always so overtired by the time they finished, it was not fun. Hoping today goes better. And then we are doing some shopping yay!! I so love to shop for toys and we got some cash for the christening- fisher price bongo drums, here we come!!

Thankyou soo much everyone for your thoughts. Im back home now and its so good to be back. It was so hard seeing so many ppl you loving in so much pain! It was a looong day and Ash did fantastic was great on the plane too. Didnt get home till 11 last night as we both passed out and Ash slept till 7am so that was ok.
Ash fell asleep durning the funeral so i got my first chance to really cry which i needed as it was soo hard to stay strong when i have ash in my arms all the time i just could never cry in front of him.

Olivia got tooth number 4 yesterday :) so 2 bottom and 2 top but not the middle ones the ones next to that.. :lol: it looks so funny.

She is very much on the move now... gets up on all 4's and rocks.. then she can wiggle all the way around the room. It is so very cute..

i have been doing a lot of bike riding.. My poor legs and lungs yesterday afternoon told me to turn around :lol: but the boys and i got out for about half an hour.. Olivia stayed home and helped Daddy cook dinner..

We left Olivia with a friend on Monday so Simon and I could ride up to get Ethan from school.. Olivia cried the whole time we were gone :( Poor bubba.. pretty much jumped into daddy's arms when he went to pick her up and snuggled in and wouldn't look at our friends..

Simon is about to take the boys riding now. Olivia just went down for a nap.. I prob should go while she is asleep but I think I want some nice quiet time ;)

Finally got a new DVD so Ty could watch some Wiggles this morning. And he was totally not fussed at all, barely even looked at it. Oh well.

OMg I just cleaned my whole house in an hour!!!!! omg omg.. Olivia is asleep and the boys are all out riding. WOOOOOT!!

I seriously have not had a house this clean since Xmas.. I feel so bloody good.. and AF is here too :lol: I know I know TMI but lately I have been foul when that arrives

Nic, you are making me feel like a lazy bum. I am still in my PJ's sitting in my recliner in the sun with the TV on and the laptop. Little miss has just gone for her nap so I best go have a shower and get ready for the day. The kitchen is a mess!

DH, and both girls have colds so we have canned the trip to the Vic snowfields for next week and instead are going to my parents place for a few days then will go to Thredbo for a night later in the week. Maria really wants to see snow.

Nic you're making me feel lazy too :) Ty is almost out of baby food, I really should be making more while he's sleeping but no motivation. I think my body's in hibernation state cause it's so cold....
Took Ty to the gp yesterday, he has execma (sp?) :( so I'm suffering from a serious case of starting-solids-3-weeks-early-and making-my-baby-sick-guilt :(

Lori: Olivia has bad ezcema on her arms and back at the moment so don't feel too guilty.. I am sure her flare up is more to do with the weather at the moment. All of my kids havehad ezcema at this age regardless of when they started solids.. so don't beat yourself up over it :)

Well I never even made it into my bed last night.. Thansk olivia :rolleyes: I got tired about 10 so while I was cleaning my teeth what do I hear.. wah wah bloody wah wah.. She then bububububed her way till nearly midnight. I even got cross and said It is night time.. go to bloody sleep.. I was not a happy mummy at all.. We both ended up falling asleep on the lounge floor. I woke briefly at 4 and we were freezing.. pulled a blanket over us and went back to sleep till Simon woke for work at 5 and he put another blanket over us (aaww) it was really cold :lol: I got decent sleep though and I am not stiff for all I did yesterday and sleeping on the floor :lol:

Today I am taking it easy.. I didn't ride this morning as Olivia was all snotty and coughing so we will ride up to school this afternoon

Woo Hoo I can post again!!!!!!!! For some reason I have been unable to for ages.

Food - I make most of Olivia's food however I do use the Rafferty's Garden when I am busy or lazy. Plus we are going on a driving holiday to Adelaide at the end of August so I think the RG squirty packs will be the easiest thing to feed the little Miss with while we are on the road. Olivia had fish this week and loves it. Good thing we are not vegetarians as Olivia really seems to love her meat.

Teeth - Still only the two bottom ones here. The MCHN said that might be the case until she is 1!

Sleeping - We are still getting up at night but it has been a bit better this week. I am now playing constant classical music in her room and we turning the night light off. She is mainly just waking in the night out of habit now I think and usually goes straight back to sleep after she sees me and I put the dummy back in.

Olivia had her 8 month check on Monday and is doing really well. She is now 69cm long and weighs 8.7kg!!! It is so hard to believe that she will soon be a big 1 year old, this year has gone so fast!

Lori - Don't beat yourself up about excema. Both Loren and Sara have it, I use Medihoney...Honestly it is the only thing that works for my girls.

Nic - Olivia must be doing the same thing as Loren at the moment. For 3 nights in a row she has been awake from 2am till 4am. Wide awake yelling out mmmumma and bubba and getting up in her cot. Oh yeah and we are back to 15 min days sleeps too. Mind you she is teething atm, but it is doing my head in. Glad your fog has lifted, mine certainly hasn't. Have you found recovery after each baby harder? I am sure I had my self together by now after having Sara.

My goodness tooth number 5. At least she'll get them all over quickly Nic. Loren has a big bubble on the top left tooth and I can see a little line in the gum. Tooth number 3 is only days away. I hope you are not getting sick Nic, I tend to get cold symptoms when I am tired too.

I know.. she only got tooth number one on the 23rd June.. It is al happening in her mouth.. she has 3 more top and one more on the bottome pushing out as well..

She was so foul.. I popped her in bed,. she screamed while I dished up the boys dinner and now she is happy in her bounce bounce.. so she got whatever it was out of her system.. I felt bad leaving her but I had 3 hungry tired boys to deal with as well..

I was so sik last night I was shivering and couldn't get warm. Olivia finally fell asleep but woke at 11 and I just got simon to put her in bed with us. I didn't sleep well after that.

I wish simon would come home :( All the boys are still asleep but I have to get Ethan up for school in a minute.. :( hugs for me
