I took Liam back to the GP yesterday because he has just been so unsettled and not sleeping much at ll during the day for weeks now, and she has said that it looks like he has silent reflux and started him on Infants Gaviscon, we had a better day today but still had his normal unsettled time between 4-9 but I could cope with that because he had had 2 big naps during the day.

Lauren- When Tori had her needles the first time I cried my eyes out, the way they did it at the Dr was to lay her on the bed and make me hold both her legs down while they did both jabs at the same time. This time I am taking Liam to the immunisation clinic where they are much more gentle.

Liz- Liam has been escaping from his wraps easily too, I fold them in half in a triangle, this keeps his arms down but means you cant get their legs too.

Alicia- I hate it when you have visitors and all you want to do is go for a nap, or have a shower or something- espeically when people dont take the hint.

Nic- LOL at poo day, I hope it is not too stressful for you tomorrow.

Anyway I am off to bed, both babies in bed and sleeping by 8:30 which is nice, I am going to take adantage of a good nights sleep.

Alicia - I'm shocked your MIL didn't offer to make dinner herself!! I would never impose like that on a new mum.. sheesh! Hope you had a nice time with the rels tho, despite it being hard work hehe.

Ali - you're a genius! I will try the triangle thing.. I dont' need to wrap her legs.. it's just her arms that I need to keep still. I'm thinking of starting her in sleeping bags, and will need to still wrap her up top.. so this might work! Will stop it all bunching up around her waist from her kicking too. I'll let you know how it goes - will try tomorrow

    Night all.

    morning all!

nic - hasn't happened again, so thinking possibly her eye or the boob like they said! we'll never know.

    alicia
    - what a pain!!! don't they know you still need your rest!! and that MIL of yours...WT?? just inviting herself over to stay.... sounds just as bad as mine, who lets herself in, without knocking, using the spare key they have at their place!!

ali - hope that it works for you....! my MCHN said that 4-9pm is a very common unsettled time for bubs at this age..! could just be a phase..? (hate to use that word..but could be!)

liz - am looking at the gro bags for Chrissie too!... it's mainly arms i have to keep away from her face too... and she's starting to get out of the wraps and it's bunching up also! let us know how you go?!

pretty good night here! and we had a good 4-9pm period, which is usually her worst time..! she even slept until 6pm!! never happened before! so, so far so good with alternating feeds of F and EBM! she seems much happier and content!

so so so so tired here.. Olivia slept 8 till 4 but didn't go back to sleep till 6 so there goes my chance to get a bit more sleep.. and with the boys not napping anymore I believe today might suck just a little bit

Haroula: Sure is weird but at least it isn't happening again

Alicia: wow. rude? or what! I'm rude though especially if it is family. I say I will be back soon i need a nap then I would turn to Simon and say wake me in an hour ok then smile sweetly and off I would go

ali: I hope the gaviscon helps. We were told Isaac had silent reflux but they did a barium test and an Xray. as I was expressing they put him on a thickener to add to his bottles but you can give it on a spoon before a feed as well. hope you got a good nights sleep

    Liz: Hi

Trish: haven't seen you around for a few days. I hope everything is going ok

Lauren; :hugs: and ouch for your mum. that sounds super painful

Haroula: I got a couple power naps in. one was about 5 minutes and another was 10. Seems to be enough for me to have kept my eyes open

Oh and I will get the cake recipe for you too. I left the copy at MIL and now have to wait till we go to town next which will either be tomorrow or tuesday.

Olivia has been ok ish today. Was foul this afternoon but is asleeo now. She still hasn't pooped. i will have to go back and see when I posted poo day last time. I am sure we are on day 6 now

now what to do.. get up and clean... or rest some more? I should get dinner started *sigh*

oh forgot I got a swing. Well I get it tomorrow. I was telling a friend how I couldn't find one for a decent price (read cheap ) and she said she still had hers. I thought she had given hers away so thats why I didn't ask so yay..

    Hi ladies,

sorry i haven't been on in a few days....

Some news on us! We are dong well and have now switched over to FF full time.. it just wasn't happening and i found my milk had gone all "watery" don't know if this makes sense to anyone, but a full bottle wasn't lasting her 2hrs!! Anyway, so far so good with FF, however she has decided that half a bottle at each feed will do her fine!! not happy about that!

Those who are FFing, do you have a set routine?? like so you feed when bubs wants it, or by the hr??..... and are their poos sometimes dark green!!??

Lara - OMG at you possibly being PG!!!
poor Mylo! I've noticed ours gets hot too! and i have dark tinted windows and a sun shade!! i must be more careful!! Hope it's getting better and he's not in too much pain

alicia - lol at Olivia finding her foot! what a cutie!! As for buying stuff, when she's older YOU WILL GO CRAZY..like me!

    louise
    - yeah we are trying to organise Chrissie's BIG FAT GREEK CHRISTENING too!! LOL glad yours went well! we have set a date at least..3rd May! now we have to find somewhere for FOOD!! which is always the hardest part!! i have yet to go to a Christening where the bub wasn't crying! LOL
    Gorgeous pics!!

    trish
    - sorry to hear that Brandon is still causing you problems!! I hope it is just a phase of rebelling and he grows out of it quick smart before he gets into real trouble!

nic - hope you are finally getting some sleep!!

Haroula: has it been hotter down your way? that can sometimes make it appear watery. Good luck though. You have to do whats right for you. As for FF when i was FF Ethan he would have half a bottle then 90 minutes later have the other half. boy it was frustrating but by about 6 months he stopped doing that. Come to think of it Isaac did something similar with his EBM. Might be a bottle thing

Lara: How is little Mylo's leg?

Alicia: at the puke! When i was in the shops once showing a 3 weeks old Isaac to a friend he decided to do that. Was very icky.. A friend of mine just dropped off more clothes for Olivia yesterday too. Her Daughter is a Dec 05 baby so I am getting lots of seriously gorgeous clothes.

Had a pretty crap night! Olivia didn't sleep much yesterday but she finally pooped yay then she went to bed at 7:30 but was stirring a lot and woke at midnight? midnight for goodness sakes then she was awake again by 4:45am *yawn* Simon is making me a coffee as we speak I have cleaned out my fridge already and have a few other jobs to do but coffee and cake was calling

    Have a great day girls

Haroula I feed Olivia when she is hungry which is about every 3-4 hours depending on how much she ate at the last bottle. I just try to make sure she gets 5 feeds a day. MCH nurse said dark green poo is normal for FF bubs (Olivia's is usually dark green with yellow bits in it - lovely )

We had a great sleep here again, 9pm - 5:30am (which is when hubby gets up for work so that is ok). She then went back to sleep from 6:30-9. Now she is chatting away on my knee and trying to fit her fist in her mouth!

Nic I cleaned out the fridge yesterday. Hate to admit i but there were some things growing in there that should never have survived so long! Sorry Olivia is having a hard time with her poo and sleep. Hopefully you will get a nap today.

thanks for the sympathy everyone; Mylo's leg is healing really well thanks nic, i don't think it's hurting him at all. it's scabbed over nicely and he'd let me know if it was ouchy to touch.

Haroula, glad melbourne has cooled down, we'll be there friday for a week. i guess better pack everything - umbrellas, winter coats, sunscreen, bikini, etc... a bit like brizzy at the moment. sorry to hear you have lost the battle of the boob, i feel like, as a group, we supported you more to go on to formula than we did to persevere with breastmilk... and for that i'm sorry. o well, live and learn.

today was playgroup and i couldn;t bear to miss it, even tho it was raining and we didn'tn have a car or pram (both DH took to work), so i put mylo in the bb sling and olly put on his shoes (the ones that wer'ent in the car, or in the bath) and we walked up the hill to the busstop, and fromthe busstop to playgroup (and back again). he managed a 10 minute walk each way without asking to be carried or letting go of my hand. and didn't run off while we waited for the bus, even tho he wanted to. it took alot of encouragement and engaging him with silly games/songs etc to get him there and back safely, but we did it without any tears. I'm so proud of him, he's all grown up at 2!

    hi everyone,

glad to hear that all these babies are getting chubby. gotta love a lil' chubba.

Mirani had her needles and drops last week, and for the past week her nappies have been rank. poo and milk vomit, i can deal with, vomiting chunks, i cant. but i tell ya, these ones have made me dry reach. i heard somewhere that its a side affect from the rotovirus.

she is so big at the moment, she's into a size 00 already and weighs a tonne. it looks like she's going to get her bottom teeth soon. i can see a touch of white on her gums. she hasnt started rolling or found her feet yet, but loves chewing on her hands and smiling and talking to evveryone.

sleeping at the moment is brilliant. sleeping from around 10.30pm to anywhere from 5am to 8am. last night it was 9.45pm to just after 7am. and it was great, it was the first time in 11 weeks i have gone to bed before 11 and not had to get up again.

trish: with brandon, is it attention he is wanting or is he just being a royal pain the the butt? instead of noah and teyha being jealous maybe he is?

    take care everyone,
