Kaylee you are not a bad mum! Its more common that you realize! Liam will be fine, I'm sure babies are designed to bounce with the amount of stories I've heard! MIL dropped dh from table height when he was a bub and he's fine, big hugs Hun try not to dwell on it. I doubt anyone will think any less of you, I certainly don't! And good on your dh and mil for being so supportive

Csab: wow your doing a great job, and yay on the ergo! FX little V stacks on some weight before winter and good luck with the feeding! Expressing is so time consuming and tiring hey, especially if hubs already asleep and you know you should be sleeping while you can, not sitting up being a jersey cow!

Babyluv: I rekon try sienna in her cot, has worked wonders with G! Instead of waking up and crying and getting all worked up, she just goes back to sleep! Can't hurt to try, I'm keen to hear how you go!

Oops water tanks overflowing, will catch up with everyone else later! X

Ok I'm back to finish from my last post...

On tummy time G loves hers but not for very long at a time, she'll usually have 4 or 5 goes a day but only for a few minutes each time. Sometimes I like to do tummy time on our bed so I can lay on my tummy at her level without having to get on the ground.

Pimples - yes G has had them since my milk came in, I was warned about them getting milk spots by my midwife.

Baths - I use curash bathwash everyday and curash shampoo every few days, havnt had any drama with either and I don't worry about moisturizers. But remember I'm in the tropics, nothing dries out here at this time of year, not even skin!

Caixin: YAY for smiles!! Just makes you melt into a puddle on the floor hey

Georgia gave me a big grin in the pool today! Such a water baby, considering all the pain I was in everytime I went near water while I was pg, she must have been trying to get out so she could be in the water!!! She's been a gem today, Dh has been out with the boys so we've had plenty of playtime, she's had some sleeps and in between all that she's just been happy to watch me re-arrange furniture! A friend just gave us a little swing that runs on batteries and swings at different speeds and plays music and goes ssshhhhh, OMG Babyluv, bex, get one!!! It is awesome!!!

Kaylee: Sweets don't freak out!! As bad as it sounds, babies get dropped all the time!! My neice who was about 4 weeks old at the time was on my SIL's bed with her and her 4yo son and he got excited, stood up and ran over to me, stepping right on his sisters tummy on the way! And she was fine!! Please don't beat yourself up about it!!!! Babies are very flexible at the moment, their bones are still soft and rubbery so he will (and probably already has) bounced back fast!!
With wahsing babies, we use Gaia cause it is all natural. J&J can be harsh on their skin even though it says it's gentle... it's got too many chemicals in it so can burn their skin. Charlotte doesn't have any dry skin at all, we just use their body wash and moisturiser and bath every second day. And the good this about Gaia is that you can get it from Woolies, Coles, chemists etc and is no more expensive than the other brands! It doesn't have any nasties in it so is great for babies sensitive skin!!
Oh and my pizza was awesome... except I think it did upset her a bit cause it took me ages at night to settle her!!

Little_mrs: YAY to gorgeous smiles! I am very jealous... It'd be lovely in the heat to be able to jump in the pool!!! Tummy time on the bed is a great idea!! Then it's easy to lay with them hey?! And the bed smelling like you would help too! Georgia sounds like she was a great little girl today!!!!!

CSAB: YAY to the ergo!! Charlotte seems to like ours cause she just sleeps in it! Yay to not crying for 4 days too! That's great I can't imagine doing this with 5 other kids to take care of!!! One is enough! LOL... I spose by then you kind know what to do and the babies just have to deal with it hey? LOL

Caixin: Good job on the hour walk!!! And to the smiles! How gorgeous, it's hard to get mad when they are so cute hey?? How is your BF going now? Are the supply issues resolved? I think feeding every 2 hours is normal for some babies. She will start to stretch them out a bit longer the older she gets.

New dawn: Go you on sanding!!! I am jealous I can't come to the meet up! I love that PK is such a joy for you! It must be such a hard situation for you but soooo good that you have found this amazing ray of sunshine!!! Makes it worth the pain sometimes hey? We are all here for you if you need us too... anytime. :hugs:

Babyluv: Did you try Sienna in her cot? have you got a swing for her? I honestly can't think of anything else that may work!!! The only other things is what I was saying yesterday, go back to the Dr, try to see a Pead and just keep pushing until someone helps you figure out what is wrong! And don't take "it's normal baby behaviour" cause it doesn't sound like it is!!! And just remember, when you are down and feeling like absolute crap, come in here and we will help pick you up. That's what we are here for! To support each other and love each other through the good and bad times!!!

AFM: Charlotte had a 4hr stretch and then a 3hr stretch last night... but I had to fight her to go to sleep from like 8-12am. So annoying! LOL. Today she has been pretty good, we went grocery shopping and she slept in the ergo. I managed to get tofutti cheese (tofu cheese) so I am excited cause cheese I would miss waay too much! At least with ice cream you can get soy ice cream easily, it's the cheese that's hard to get! I'm glad I found it!! I am going to try staying off dairy first for a week and still eat wheat (I wasn't really eating much anyways!) and if she doesn't improve heaps after a week I will cut out wheat too.
I have been searching pole dancing videos on youtube and god I am getting excited to go back to it!! In 2 weeks I will be allowed to start up again. I have missed it sooo much and now find I have the motivation to do it! I am calling the number now and finding out about classes! WOOHOO!!!

Thanks girls for the reassurance, I do feel better but i still feel terrible though I spoke to FIL before and he was making sure I was okay, he told me how my MIL has squished all four babies on the bed and couches, and that they were all fine!

New_dawn thank you for your wise words I am quite excited about Thursday! and hope that your furniture isnt ruined!! is there anything you want me to bring??

Bex, Thank you for that story, that would have freaked me out! I will try the Gaia, i am just a bit bummed as I got SO Much JJ stuff, the body wash is fine, its just the shampoo that made his scalp dry and that was the first time i used it.

I am glad they are just milk pimples, here i was freaking out it was a measles or something!

lil_mrs i have a curash pack, ill try that too. Melbourne weather is so stupid!
There is flashflooding where i live, i never drove through such big puddles and it was peeing down when i left the supermarket. ND i agree Vic doesnt have such great roads.

DH and I had such a big arguement today that he has said something nasty, i am still quite upset. I had to leave the house for a bit and doodled up and down the aisles in the supermarket, I have never been this upset at him before
he has apologized, i better get over it before the night ends!

L has slept for most of the day, i hope he doesnt keep me up all night! he was smiling and laughing today it made my heart melt, he had just woken up and we played the tickle game on his chest and he loved it!

KayleeF: Hope you're ok Hun big bug hugs xxx
We put so much pressure on ourselves to be perfect as mummys. You're a fantastic mum Hope things are better this morning with your hubby.

AFM: There was a river outside my house last night. Everywhere is flooded, we live near lakes and a big reserve and it's all flooded too. We can't complain though, it's nothing in comparison to the floods QLD & Ntg Vic have had. Check out the vid on my fb page.
S finally had a good night. She fell asleep about 11:30, slept til 5:30 had a sleepy feed & slept til 9.
I've changed her Zantac from morn night to morn & arvo which seemed to help alot. I haven't had a chance to get her back to the paed yet.
We have lunch with friends today but I need to make sure the cafe is open because of the weather. It's summer and we've had more rain than we get in winter, it's crazy.

Babyluv: that sleep is awesome!!!!! That's 6hrs! You must be feeling refreshed! I saw your video... It's pretty crazy how things can flood so quickly hey? Fx sienna is behaved for you coffee date!

Charlotte went down at 8:30 last night, had a dreamfeed at 11:30 then woke up just after 2, just after 5 and the has been grunting n stuff ever since dozing in and out. I think she has a cold or something cause I've got one and she randomly chokes and coughs like something is in her throat, and her cry sounds different.
    I hope she's ok!

KayleeF: Hope u're feeling better now. I'm sure L will be fine, babies are certainly made so that mums can afford to make mistakes. I guess their journey out of the birth canal was quite a tough one already so they must be quite tough. My MCHN did say that J&J shampoo is quite drying for newborns, they tend to be better for toddlers. I use this organic baby wash that I got given by a friends from US and use either the Giag moisturizer or just olive oil, helps heaps with the dry skin. Been bathing C everyday when it's hot and every 2nd day when it's cool. The milk spots seem to disappear quite well on their own so don't worry.

New Dawn: Hope the weather is good for you tmr so you can go into the city. I think it can be quite crowded sometimes but will be so much fun. I love the festivals in chinatown! I hate child bullies, places so much stress in the poor little kids. Is you DS in a better class this year? Oh no on the flooded shed, hope ur furniture is still alright. I'll bring some CNY goodies on Thurs.

Babyluv: I would certainly try the cot. Maybe try elevating one end too coz I found that helped C sleep better.

Little Mrs: It was really wierd how you couldn't stand going near water when you were pregnant. Glad G likes the water! The big grins are so worth it hey? Ohh I like the cool swing you got. Do you know where your friend got it from?

Mrs Bexie: BF is going good at the moment. She does get lazy sometimes and only does half a feed and falls asleep regardless of what I try to do to wake her up. Not good coz then she gets hungry very soon and wants another feed in an hour. Sounds like C had such a good sleep! Go on pole dancing I'm sure it'll get you back into shape real quick.

We had some friends over for lunch today for CNY. Usually we do a once a year steamboat thing but this year because I haven't had as much time to prepare we decided to go potluck this yr. Very nice to catch up with friends again and Claire's been such a gem sleeping all through lunch. I think she's liking the cool weather She's been getting up every 2 hours in the night and feeding only half heartedly each time before dropping off the sleep. I've tried everything from taking off her clothes to changing her nappy, calling out to her, rubbing her etc but she's still fast asleep. Then she gets hungry very quickly and wants another feed in another 2 hrs. Thinking of getting a miracle blanket coz Claire managed to get her muslin swaddle off completely even though it was wrapped around her twice!

Lol to Claire getting out of her wrap! They are little houdinis sometimes hey? Maybe look into the the wrap me up swaddle too! Its awesome (lol so Many of us have it too!!)
Tbh I know nothing about CNY but it's pretty big isn't it? Potlucks are great! And yay for Claire being so well behaved!!

    Where is everyone?!

Ok so I have found the most ADORABLE ruffle nappy covers on FB! I have made my first purchase too!! I got this gorgeous pink ruffle nappy cover, matching white singlet and headband ($30 for the whole set!!). I cannot wait to get it and put it on Charlotte!! Shelly got me hooked on them and my favorites are by Lil miss rosie (search it on FB)... she is AMAZING and the ruffles are seriously just the sweetest little things ever!
I now have a massive new obsession! I have already pre-ordered another one with the new material she is bringing out! HAHA.. Took me a while to convince DH to let me get them tho!

And I went a little crazy on cute headbands too... oops!! LOL I have bought 5 headbands lately, but all the clips/flowers are removable so i cans wap them round etc... C just looks soooo cute in them!!! I had no idea there was this whole network of mums who work from home maing adorable little accessories for kids!!! I can't believe I was missing out! I could have slowly been building C's ruffle and headband wardrobe and gotten heaps more by now! hahaha... Maybe once FTB and BB come in I will get another one! I just won't tell DH! hahahahaha

We are going to a housewarming tonight and I was going to drink but have EBM for C so I didn't have to worry about BF, but after thinking it over, I decided it's just too hard. Wat if she just needs to suck but I can't let her?? So I have decided that I will have one drink once we get there and then wait until her next feed to have another one so at any stage I only have one drinks worth of alcohol in my system. And I have back up EBM I am taking JIC...
When do you guys feel you will be comfortable having a night out where you will have to use EBM or formula for the whole night and maybe some of the next morning? (I don't neccessarily mean actually going out but even just drinks at a BBQ or something)

Well gotta go have a shower and get prettied up (as much as I can... not that I actually feel it!!!) for tonight... me and my fat ar$e, with nothing to wear...

Babyluv my yard was a river too, it was crazy, glad it didnt start again today... fingers crossed we wont get anything like that again... I hope you didnt get any damage, the pictures on the news are scary, when I went to pick up the chairs today I saw so many cars just stopped on the side of the road from driving though the water, so stuffing up their electirics...

Yay to getting the new chairs! Sounds like the HAB is a life saver right now! LOL Can you cook with him in there? I can't wait to get to the tropics! even with the occasional crazy cyclone! LOL

Aaaaggghhhhh now I have to catch up all over again
    Hello hello.

New Dawn: bummer to all the flooding at your house, I saw all of your pics on facebook. HAB is a great idea, I like to put Ivy in the nurture sling and go for walks, she loves it and falls straight to sleep in it You should sell your chairs, not put them out with hard rubbish. I have an appointment in Malvern (with my ob) on Thursday at 9:30 so hopefully everything will work out so I can still come to the meet up, I'll bring something too

Bexie: Loving the ruffley things. I have no idea when I will be wanting to have a night out. I had a glass of champagne at Quinn's party then another after the party, but that was about 4 hours apart. Yay to the pole dancing, sounds like loads of fun and a great work out. And super YAY to the sleeping that Charlotte is doing, sounds to me like you've figured out what was upsetting her

Caixin: Ivy wriggles all the way out of her wraps too, CNY with your friends sounds like fun, it's great to catch up, and yay to Claire sleeping so well during the lunch She must be a deep sleeper if you can't wake her with a nappy change That's always guaranteed to wake Ivy up.

Babyluv: wow! 6 hours sleep, good one. Hopefully Sienna keeps that up for you. Did you get any water in your house? Our house has an alleyway running along the side and it was flooded, but none came into our house luckily.

Kaylee: Awwww, I am sure Liam is fine, and you are definitely not a bad mum, we all have things like that happen, DS went flying out of his rocker once and landed on his head, I wasn't even in the room at the time and came out to him lying on the floor face down on the floorboards, poor thing, the head on floor sound made me feel sick and I cried more than he did. Hope everything is ok with your DH, I found that DP and I had the worst arguments after we became parents, it's really hard!

LittleMrs: I'm loving that Georgia is a waterbaby and you're getting so many smiles, the smiles are the best aren't they! I haven't taken Ivy for a swim yet but she LOVES her bath, she goes crazy in there kicking and laughing. Laughing at the swing that says Ssssshhhhhh.

Shelly: aww your poor mum, it must be so hard for you too when you have so much on your plate

    Hi everyone else

AFM: Ivy has been a bit unsettled for the last few days, she screamed last night for about 5 hours, we ended up giving her weleda baby colic powder, after 2 doses of gripe water didn't work. The powder worked almost instantly. Poor little thing, I feel so sorry for her when she can't get her wind up. She has been pretty good today and went to sleep at about 7:30 tonight, I'm waiting for her to wake up again soon for a feed, she is usually in a cluster feeding frenzy around now, maybe she's changing it on me again.

Kirsten, how good is Weleda Colic Powder?? I swore by it with DD1, it's the ultimate settler I really should get some for the cupboard just in case. The teething powder is excellent too.

Bex, i hope you didn't tell Joe I introduced you to this ruffle bum obsession, he'll never let you out with me!

Babyluv, glad the river in your backyard didn't flood your house! Yay for changing up the zantac and it working!

New Dawn, glad the flooding didn't do any damage. Yay for the HAB!!

Caixin, if C likes to sleep with her arms up you may be better with the wrap me up swaddle. What a good lil cherub sleeping through lunch!

Kaylee, I fell asleep feeding DD1 & dropped her out of the hospital bed when she was 2 days old. I cried for days thinking I'd given her brain damage, but she is fine. They're pretty resilient. DH & I seem to be disagreeing more at the moment too, probably doesn't help he is on nightshift so we're both a little sleep deprived. hope you made up!

Little_mrs, yay to G being a water baby. Xani is too, she loves the pool, bath and shower!

Hi & hugs to everyone else

    AFM,
my legendary bubba slept for a massive 8hrs last night! My boobies were killing and about to explode though. And she's been a grizzly suckaloterous again today.

Kirsten: hmm I might get some if this powder!! I thought I had her sorted but maybe not!!
I think you should get ivy a ruffle bum! Haha... I think every little girl needs one! Lol, or in Shelly's case, many! Haha.

Shelly: suckelotorus would have sucked those boobies dry in no time! Lol, I won't tell Joe!! Lol.

Well we are at the housewarming, C is not co-operating!!! She should be asleep but she is wide awake and demanding boob. I tried to feed her EBM so I didnt have to BF but she kept screaming so I am sitting inside feeding her. DH is being a crank ar$rhole and I feel queasy, I have had half a midori pre mix, that's it. And I don't want anymore. I want to go home. Lol have a whinge!
