    Hi all

Just a quick one as i have a screaming baby!!! I am insanely jealous of all you girls both melbourne and brissy at your catch ups!!!! Glad you had a great time and hope the brissy girls have fun today!!!!! Little_mrs we will have to send a pic of us and G and Ava next time they catch up so we can be there, sort of!!!!!!

Those ladies with babies with reflux, can you hear when they have it? What i mean is i can hear when ava vomits but nothing comes up and she swallows it then screams!! It is not all the time just after certain feeds. I have a feeling she has reflux.
I have found that I can hear it gurgle in her throat, It sounds like she is going to vomit but she never does, and yes she screams. For charlotte it's not every feed that I hear the gurgle but she does scream a whole lot!! And it's a painful scream iykwim... It's not just a whinge or a cry. What you can try is getting gaviscon infant from the chemist, no prescription needed and it's a thickener. So it thickens everything in their stomach and helps prevent it coming back up so it doesn't burn their throats. If she seems happier that may be it, however I found it did make Charlotte constipated so after a few days she ended up screaming for a different reason, that's why we went onto Zantac.

Does it sound like she is in pain when she is screaming?

Yeah def try the gaviscon and if that doesn't work maybe go to your dr to try something else. Sounds like the acid is burning her causing those random screams... It scares me web she does them! I'm always scared she has been bitten by a spider or something!!

    Hello lovelies,

Renee: ooh sounds nasty, poor little thing. Hope the gaviscon helps Ava.

Keli: you are a superstar!! How did you manage to feed all of those people AND deal with a new baby! I bet you are a natural mother. And 10 hours sleeping - that is so wonderful, I bet you feel great!! I will be doing everything I can to make it to the next one. When are we planning it for I love O's hair, it's so gorgeous, clips are a great idea, you can get some great ones.

Bexie: heh heh heh heh to the snot blocks! snot block is a vanilla slice at you gagging at the thought of a snot block. I feel so sorry for you and for poor charlotte with all of that screaming. I can't even begin to imagine how exhausted you would be from that. You're a super trooper of a mum! Hope you're having fun today at the meet up!

New Dawn: Ivy is a poo star too, I think she must do at least 5 poos a day!

Kaylee: oooh that sounds fancy! Overstimulation is awful isn't it??? So hard to get them to sleep after that.

AFM: Ivy is being gorgeous, DS is being good today - but fell over at sport and cut both lips on his teeth, he is still telling me he has a sore tooth. Other than that nothing else happening. Ivy woke up last night at 2:30 and was still awake after feeding at 4...I like the 8+ hours MUCH better. OK Someone wants some milk gotta go

Gosh I've missed so much today
I'll have to catch up slowly as I'm on my phone!

Renee: yes to your qs regarding reflux. I hear it come up sometimes and she swallows it and screams. Sometimes I don't hear it but she coughs, chokes, holds her breath goes bright red & screams. She also screams when she has the hiccups do you find this? I haven't read anyone elses responses yet 'so sorry if I doubled up.

Sorry I missed the catch up ladies, I was seeing my sister and hadn't seen her since I came home from hospy. Hope I can make it to the next one, I'm really looking fwd to meeting you all. Sounds like you had a great time
S is doing better, I've upped her Zantac and it seems to have helped. S slept 7hrs straight last night, had a sleepy feed & slept another 3. I was so shocked, she's never slept so long!
Is this going to muck up my supply?
Someone asked me' today if by patting and rocking my bub to sleep am I making it hard for her to learn how to sleep on her own. I wasn't sure what do you think? S can never fall asleep without being rocked, walked, patted etc. I know some of you have bubs who have fallen asleep on their own, how hehe?

babyluv, Liam will fall asleep on his own if i leave him in his bed, or in the rocker, as much as it hurts my boobs i sometimes have to let him cry for up to 10 minutes to let him settle by him self. I can tell by his cry whether he is tired and needs to sleep or is screaming in hunger.

Im back... H just skyped with the winkies...

Baby luv, I cuddle PK to sleep, did the same with the others, I can tell you now I dont have to rock or tap any of them to sleep now I say do what feels right for you and your baby, with any advise your give ( same goes with my advise ) take from it what you want other wise just smile and say thanks but I am happy doing it my way... you only have a little baby for such a short time enjoy them while you can... I am not trying to make light of your question it just annoys me when people say this to new mums...

BTW PK doesnt have set day naps either, he doesnt go to sleep in his bed unless I am going too, otherwise he naps in my arms if I am lucky I can put him in his swing or on the floor, but he normally wakes not no after, so if I want him to have a good sleep I make sure I have my water near by and the lappy close by so I dont have to get up

    nothing new here

    * This is typed with two fingers one handed as I have a sleeping baby on me *

New Dawn: Thankyou it's nice to know I'm not the only one who types with one hand hehe!

KayleeF: when L cries because of tiredness is it just a grizzly cry? S will escalate to an I'm being murdered cry if I put her down & she's tired!

Kirsten: How's your DS? Poor little guy! Hope Ivy has a good sleep tonight!

Mrs Bexie: How are you both feeling? How was C this arvo after your catch up? Hope she settles for you tonight. Are you making an Avitar or is someone making you one? Can't wait to see it!

Keli: The photo of O with her pretty new clips in her hair is so cite, she sure does have alot of hair. S is losing hers around the front and it's gone frizzy, very strange!

AFM: Got a look at S new beanie made by 'From Annabel's Armoire' it should arrive Monday & so should her Ruffles. How much fun is online shopping ?

babyluv, L will grizzle and have a weird sort of cry, sometimes when i put him down, he will then scream as if its bloody murder for about a minute and then he will literally shut up, but if he keeps going like that and i can see he gets red and sweaty then i take him out. its all trial and error i guess.
Like today he would not go to sleep, i put him in his rocker let him carry on for about 5 minutes and just as i went to pick him up he zonked out. he had a good nearly 2 hour nap, he wouldnt go back to sleep later on, i had to give him a bath, lathered him up with baby lotion and he went to sleep for about 40 mins. and now he has gone back to bed. I don't know what distressed him as he wouldnt take the boob, he kept giving out a weird cry, and has done really potent farts, he ended up sculling a whole 120 mils of water.
If i had to rock him to sleep or walk around the house to get him to sleep id go mad only because he is getting so heavy!
You just have to do what is right for you, at my mothers group on tuesday thats what they said, if you are happy rocking them to sleep or walking around to get them to sleep then its absolutely fine!

Kaylee: Poor Liam! I hate when people over stimulate your baby! Or touch them when they are sleeping!! I feel like saying "how would you like it if I poked you while you were sleeping??" LOL. Eww to potent farts! WOW that's a lot of water for a newborn!! Are you sure he wasn't hungry and wanting milk?

Kirsten:Naw poor Quinn!!! His little beat up lip! LOL... ok so snot blocks are actually amazing little sqaures of yummy custard, icing and pastry? mmm oh how I long for a vanilla slice!! DAMN DAIRY.

Babyluv: Who cares if you rock her or pat her to sleep!! At this stage it's whatever works! Later on down the track you can try the self settling thing but for now.. do what works!! WOOHOO for the sleep!! The zantac must have helped!

New dawn: Woohoo for Sarah!!!! that's so exciting... and lol to one handed typing! I have managed to work out how to have her on my BF pillow in my lap feeding, with my feet up on the coffee table and the lappy on my knees so I can type and use the lappy like normal! LOL.

Well we had a great day!!! She was alright on the way down to Brissy, grizzled and cried everytime I slowed down (which was a lot cause of roadworks!) but then went back to sleep when I went fast... then slept the whole time at coffee and made a liar out of me!! Then she screamed in the car for the last hour of the trip and is now feeding... Hoping she goes down after this! Shelly got me some Weleda colic powder so have given her some of that... see how she goes!

Oh my gosh I just woke up now after going to sleep at 11!!! Bub slept 7hrs CRAZY!

MrsBexie: That's so cute that C grizzles when the car slows down S does this with the pram!
I got Pinky Makays new book yesterday 'Parenting by Heart' it's so good & she says in there that in the womb even when we are stationary the amniotic fluid rocks bub around so when they come out it's really hard for their little bodies to get used to being stationary. Now I understand why S likes me' to walk around when she's upset
Oh & why did you mention vanilla slice hehe that's all I can think about now gosh I miss my dairy!

Babyluv: isn't that 2 nights in a row?? You upped the Zantac hey? I honestly think that has helped soo
Much!! Im soo happy that you were able to get 2 nights of awesome sleep!! Fx she stays like this!!!!!

Oh and it was pretty cute.. Silly girl! She likes speed like her mum!! Oh and I miss dairy so badly! Luckily my ar$e doesnt!! No dairy n wheat is helping me lose weight!
Could you imagine a soy vanilla slice? EWW!! Haha. I am going to attempt to make muffins with soy n gluten free flour (yum... Not) we'll see how I go!

Yes two nights in a row, it's just crazy! I'm scared I might be dreaming hehe! FX she keeps up the long sleeps.
Yesterday she played happily on her own for about an hr! And settling is taking 1/2hr rather than a few hrs. I hope we've reached that turning point! Zantac 3 times a day rather than 2, it's definitely helped!

Let me' know how your muffins go, have you tried rice milk? It's quite nice! Good work on the weight loss Hun I've been walking my butt of, eating well & I've lost no weight this week devastating!

DH is getting me' a cross trainer for my bday but I don't think I'll have it by my bday having trouble finding one I like for a good price 2nd hand!

Bexie: haha it wasnt my sil fault, he was sooo over tired i was hoping the toys would make him sleepier. She is going to have her bub in June I can't wait!!

babyluv, that is fantastic that S is sleeping 7 hours two days straight!! I only got Liam one night, but he slept most of the night even though it was in our bed!

I honestly feel for you two with out dairy, i am slowly weaning my self off it too. My stomac isnt handling too much dairy again but I don't want to go back to my soy teas I am really loving the taste of my tea with full fat milk! But i am having grilled cheese sandwiches as I type.. haha lets see how i go! I dont know if i could go off wheat! what the heck would i eat?? or what do you eat to keep full??

Does anyone else watch good chef, bad chef? Its on channel 10 at 4pm, janelle does some good wheat free and dairy free recipes, except i think it would cost so much to get half of those ingredients!

Bex, i make a chocolate cake with soy milk and everyone always gives me compliments with it! I suppose you could substitute the flour with glutenfree too.
