Must be the time for shocker babies, I was kept awake from 1am til after 4am last night, so tired today. The night started off so well too, she'd done an explosive poo so was all good fed at 7:45 and was sound aslepp by 8:15, NEVER settles that fast. Should've known it'd go downhill.

Ali- We got ours back really quick within a week, my friend didn't get hers either and when she called up they said they thought she didn't want and actual certificate but just registered the birth so chase it up.

Kaz- You are having a bad time of it, I hope you sort it out quickly, keep telling yourself one day this hard part will be a distance memory and you'll be breastfeeding with ease. Hows it going with DP back at work?

Det- Nice day for the zoo, we just went to werribee zoo last friday, I've decided Melb zoo alot better. Enjoy the day!

laura- Ouchies on the grazed nipples, maybe its like starting from scratch again, I had grazed nipples in those early days, have you got the lasinoh cream or something?

I'm hoping everyone is getting a nice sleepy day today, Em is asleep ATM, who knows for how long! Got to go out child free this am, bought myself clothes, 25% off at K-mart woohoo, bought Df a wallet for his birthday, 20% off, love sales! His big 40th tomor, having his party sat.

Meg - bugger, it would have been nice to hang out in hospital

Det - if you give me a couple of days notice I'm always up for the zoo - I live very close and have FOTZ membership - have a great day! I hope everything goes well Friday and the twins are ok.

Ali - mine came in a week but I am in Vic so might be different.

AFM - the pergola is nearly finished - yaaaaaay! Miss J asleep on my lap at the moment.

Hi girls, the pain has gone away in my nipple so no idea what was going on there but it's good that it's back to normal. Maybe he wasn't latching properly, even though he looked ok. My double electric pump turned up today. Much quicker to express, I'm getting more out, and feeds seem to be going better, although there's still another 1-2 and he usually gets more agitated/difficult as the evening wears on.

My nan died this morning. She would have been 92 next week. She had dementia, was very unwell and had wanted to go for a few years now but it's still sad.

Det, I hope our Nans are having a cuppa together in heaven. Mine will be doing a tapestry for sure - she hasn't been able to do craft/sewing stuff for years now.

I'm going to get in here to do personals soon, I promise!!

    Hi girls,

Kaz- you poor thing. It is a big adjustment when DP goes back to work but you will get used to it. If you are struggling though call out for some help from friends or family. I am sure he wishes he was home with you and Master J. Good to hear that the nipple isnt hurting as much. Our bodies jsut do strange things sometimes dont they. I hope the emectric pump makes it easier and quicker for you to express. I am so sory about your Nan. That is a great age to live until but the loss of someone still hurts so much. Maybe yours and Det's Nan's will be looking over Milana and giving her cuddles for us.
Det- Your day at the zoo sounds great. I think you should write a book about how to be a chilled out, relaxed mum! You are super woman and now doing paperwork! Make sure you are getting some rest as well though. I am sorry about your nan passing as well. I hope today helped the twins and took their minds off the death of their great nan. How do you know what "type" of child yours in in regards to rainbow & crystal, etc? Just curious as I have heard my cousin refer to her little girl as a rainbow child as well.
Tarkine- how are the natives tonight? Mine is asleep on a cushion on the lounge next to me. Too scared to move her in case she wakes up! We had a horrible night last night too. I felt like a zombee this morning!
Nai- Looking good in your avvy hun! I love the vino in the background as well!!!!
Shell- Way to go on getting out childfree! It feels a bit strange but somewhat enjoyable!
Laura- I went and got some wind driops today to have on stand by! Thanks for that! Hope you have had a good day
    Tracey- thinking of you
Megie, Holly, OP, Heaven, Jols, Ellie, Amy, Mellie - How are you girls going?

    AFM-
Well got through another day. Had DP home todayu which was awesome but the poor thing was asleep for most of the day as the guy that was supposed to take over last night at 11pm at work never showed up so DP had to stray and work a double shift until 7am this morning!!! I told him to tell them that he would not becoming in this arvo for tonights shift as that was ridiculous! He was so exhausted and starving after a 16hour security shift. Anyway has been nice having him home tonight. Going out for lunch tomorrow with some gf's from work and my sis is coming over to visit in the morning. So a busy day for us tomorrow.

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Have tried really hard tonight.

    to everyone.

    Hello everyone!!
Hope you all had a good Easter! We had a good time at the coast. DD was a bit cranky though, don't know what was wrong with her, and DH was really sick on Easter and in bed all day, not good. But we didn't catch it luckily.

Have discovered that DD will sleep in the Basinette during the day if I put her on her tummy. Makes me nervous but at least we have the breathing monitor. Anyone else sleeping bubs on their tummy? I don't do it at night, I'm too scared, lol.

Well, there was a house full of ppl on the w/end and I managed to breastfeed in front of them!! Am feeling a little proud of myself, I think I've got the technique worked out now, lol. Had a bit of a sore right nipple the last 2 days and I had no idea why it just hurt when she was on and was a bit red but looked the right shape and everything when she came off. So I have been extra vigilant with attachment and it seems to be ok today, not hurting. Thank God, I didn't want any more dramas!!

OMG, just when I was typing this DD laughed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's asleep, LOL, in the HAB. She made a little noise and I thought great she's waking up, and then she did a little giggle and I looked down and she had a huge smile on her face, lol, it was so cute!!! But she was still asleep, must have been dreaming of boobies, lol. She hasn't laughed yet, now I'm going to try make her when she wakes up!
