    Morning Ladies!

Sterla: sorry to hear about your uncle, 57 is young and you're definately allowed to be sad. Go for a nice walk by a lake or a nice leafy park if its a nice day in Tas today and have a thought for him I always find that being in a nature surroundings brings me peace and lifts my spirit.

Laura: don't you dare feeling guilty, thanks for letting us know about Bella, glad she is ok and hope it was just a weird thing she's done once or twice and that you won't see it again. We will expect a FULL catch up on personals when she is better :P

Blip: thats so good that you had a decent meeting with the LC, its about time you get some help from NICE people! I'm glad you are keeping hope for Darren, he will be a strong little boy for it, his mummy has worked so hard to make him healthy! About that girl in your MG, she could be having a hard time adjusting to not having her life the way it used to be ..especially if it was a surprise. I kwym though in watching when you just know the bub most likely just wants a nice cuddle. Hopefully, she realises how blessed she is to have a little baby in her life.

Renstar: I forgot to say hi the other day, so glad you and Ava is doing well and I will try my best to pop in the Jan group and say hi as well!

Jords: When are you going to the sleep clinic then? Look, even though it is not IDEAL to feed her to sleep and might create some bad habits, etc etc. if it works for you and it gets her to sleep, well...do it! You definately don't want her to have to be on your boob to suckle all throughout the night though cause thats going to drive you nuts. Go into the sleeping clinic with open mind and even if you only pick one thing that works, hey it was worth it. The EC nurse summed it up quite well when she said about the mum and baby that wouldn't settle well. "Some babies are really good at self settling and some aren't. You're trying to make her fit into a square mold but she is really a triangle, so its not working. Trust your guts and do what works for you both" her little boy did not sleep through the night for 18 months!!

Jords and Sterla: I know meeting new mums may be intimidating but even if they don' turn out to be "friends for life" they give you adult interaction, plus you actually have something in common and living through the same things. Especially if you don't have friends with children who want to talk for hours about how the pooh colour and volume has changed in your wee one or he/she spewed all over you as you were about to go out!! I would strongly recommend you join a MG, its good to see other people and it gives you something to go out of the house. it also gives your bubba a chance to interact with other babies, and trust me in saying, its hilarious to watch them with other babies!

Antheia & Blip: Aren't we just nice cutting our children like that! I had been doing it with the nail clippers heaps of times before, not anymore, gonna use the nail file now.

AFM: Well, Sammy is spewing less and less, so am very pleased about that but what I am even more pleased about is that Sammy slept from wait for it........7pm til 6:15am!!! WOOHOO the last couple nights she had slept til 5 but she pulled a 6am this morning, so fingers crossed, this is it for us. I actually dressed her in a growsuit last night and she didn't overheat, so that's good, thanks for the advice. DH is back at work today so its nice to have the house to ourselves again. better get ready to go for our walk before Sam wakes up. Hope everyone has a fantastic day

    Morning Girls

Big hugs to you Sterla- death is never nice to deal with, whether you were close or not.

Blip- Im really happy to hear the LC went well, definately wright a complaint letter about your hospital experience- it will make you feel so much better and too if certain people always do the wrong thing but no-one ever says anything than nothing ever gets fixed kwim? People need to be held accountable.
Im so impressed with your determination to BF! You go Mummy! I feel so sad for that little Bub at your MG... I guess every woman deals with things in different ways... at least his Daddy is giving him cuddles.

Raver- Thank You for the update! Bah, it must suck not knowing what caused it. Hopefully Bella stays good.

Moose- Glad to hear Sammy is getting better! I think I might be joining a group, a thread was started on here the other day for BF mums so I might check it out...Our clinic is next wed arvo, I just want a miracle! I told DP too when he got home and it was great, before I really said anything he said he'd take the Afternoon off to come along..I just assumed Id go, but its so great having an active partner.

What are you girls cutting Bubs nails with? We have those tiny mini nail scissors and even though they say 6months up, Ive uses them since birth and they are awesome...

Hope everyone's having a great day, long weekend Yippee as of tommorrow!

    morning ladies!

'Bow : Aww. i hope bellas ok...i hope she dosent have any more fits!

Sterla : you may not have been close to him but it'd still be a shock for you and your family. my thoughts are with you darlin'

moose: Wow thats a good sleep! well done sammy! glad to see she's doing so well!

AFM: went Back to the hospital today for an appt. with a dietitoin. hes on the 25% now. she was supprised how much he'd gained in 4 weeks, another 800g and hes back on the 50th...she wants me to make strongr forlmuar (insted of 4 scoops per 200ml she wants 5) and a teasoon of formular in my EMB (which bugs me ALOT) so he gains the 800g. honestly im worried about it making daz costipated. she told me that the motilim "wont do much, you need to express as much as possable" that irked me becuase she should try living with daz for a day and see how much time she has! she also said he should be 6kg now too. BUT even her thiory had a flaw. he was longer then he was hevy at birth. so maybe hes not going to 'fit' into their little mathmatical ideas of 'the norm' ... i know i was always a long baby and never a overly fat baby. when i asked her about when i could cut down the formular she said "ohh most likely not untill hes on solids.(i think he'll get that 800g in his own time, he proved it with how much he's gained, even SHE found that he'd not staied on the same line...he'd gone up...ON HIS OWN!) he needs the calories. with the extra scoop of formular..its a WHOLE 4 more calories. i tired daz on the boob last night/thismoring and he takes a few sucks but thats it. so im thinking if i let myself 'fill up' more so my boobs are a little..fuller alsmot engorged maybe it'll help as he'll get milk strait away, see if that helps at all....

I think what bugs me about the fomular in the EMB is that EMB is PREFICT for darren. what he needs and all...why do i need it in there? somethings shouldnt be messed with and i guess as im not overly religous i think that EMB /BFing in sacred and should be left alone, and for the sake of a WHOLE 4 calories. EMB isnt mesured in calories, rather volume...she was nice but i guess i felt a little flat leaving...'cus once again i felt like my milk wasnt good enough...guess im just being overly sensative...
Now i have to go write a shopping list up, we're having MIL & FIL over for dinner!

BLip: If Daz is gaining well on his own with the current formula & EBM, why not keep it this way, it wouldn't be the first time you have defied these ladies! the whole 4 calories may or may not make a difference. Is a hard decision but don't feel like your milk is not good enough. You are doing a great job and A LOT of people would have given up before you and put them straight onto formula so hang in there, he is on the way up!!

Jords: WOOT WOOT! thats awesome about the group, hope you have a good time!

    Ok Sammy up!
