Sterla: sorry to hear about your uncle, 57 is young and you're definately allowed to be sad. Go for a nice walk by a lake or a nice leafy park if its a nice day in Tas today and have a thought for him I always find that being in a nature surroundings brings me peace and lifts my spirit.
Laura: don't you dare feeling guilty, thanks for letting us know about Bella, glad she is ok and hope it was just a weird thing she's done once or twice and that you won't see it again. We will expect a FULL catch up on personals when she is better :P
Blip: thats so good that you had a decent meeting with the LC, its about time you get some help from NICE people! I'm glad you are keeping hope for Darren, he will be a strong little boy for it, his mummy has worked so hard to make him healthy! About that girl in your MG, she could be having a hard time adjusting to not having her life the way it used to be ..especially if it was a surprise. I kwym though in watching when you just know the bub most likely just wants a nice cuddle. Hopefully, she realises how blessed she is to have a little baby in her life.
Renstar: I forgot to say hi the other day, so glad you and Ava is doing well and I will try my best to pop in the Jan group and say hi as well!
Jords: When are you going to the sleep clinic then? Look, even though it is not IDEAL to feed her to sleep and might create some bad habits, etc etc. if it works for you and it gets her to sleep, well...do it! You definately don't want her to have to be on your boob to suckle all throughout the night though cause thats going to drive you nuts. Go into the sleeping clinic with open mind and even if you only pick one thing that works, hey it was worth it. The EC nurse summed it up quite well when she said about the mum and baby that wouldn't settle well. "Some babies are really good at self settling and some aren't. You're trying to make her fit into a square mold but she is really a triangle, so its not working. Trust your guts and do what works for you both" her little boy did not sleep through the night for 18 months!!
Jords and Sterla: I know meeting new mums may be intimidating but even if they don' turn out to be "friends for life" they give you adult interaction, plus you actually have something in common and living through the same things. Especially if you don't have friends with children who want to talk for hours about how the pooh colour and volume has changed in your wee one or he/she spewed all over you as you were about to go out!! I would strongly recommend you join a MG, its good to see other people and it gives you something to go out of the house. it also gives your bubba a chance to interact with other babies, and trust me in saying, its hilarious to watch them with other babies!
Antheia & Blip: Aren't we just nice cutting our children like that! I had been doing it with the nail clippers heaps of times before, not anymore, gonna use the nail file now.
AFM: Well, Sammy is spewing less and less, so am very pleased about that but what I am even more pleased about is that Sammy slept from wait for it........7pm til 6:15am!!! WOOHOO the last couple nights she had slept til 5 but she pulled a 6am this morning, so fingers crossed, this is it for us. I actually dressed her in a growsuit last night and she didn't overheat, so that's good, thanks for the advice. DH is back at work today so its nice to have the house to ourselves again. better get ready to go for our walk before Sam wakes up. Hope everyone has a fantastic day
