Good evening Ladies!
How exciting Blip! Ouchy for Daz!
My goodness I dont come on in 4 days and I have a trillion things to check BUT I have a few things that have been happening so this will be a selfish one...
Winter and I went to sleep school friday and I was a bit dissapointed, I mean they watched how I put her down for a nap and pretty much told me everything I was doing was great... now that Ive been home though Ive realised I did get a few good things out of it, just knowing what Im doing is good and they said to keep trying for up to 15 mins during the day and up to an hour at night, so its good knowing a time frame instead of giving up and going back after 2 mins. Also when Winter was SCREAMING the nurse asked me how long I thought she had been crying for(this was when I was patting her but to sleep) and I said ten mins, it had only been five, so that helped me a bit. Now the big news..............
Winter is now in her own room as of friday night :crying:
DP actually suggested it a few days beforehand but I wasnt keen, so I asked the nurse and she said it might help... so then we moved her in friday and get this....
SHE SLEPT THROUGH!!!! Then sat night she woke up once, and only once last night too!!!! I feel like a different person its amazing! I am sad that she is a whole room away though, just being able to roll over and see her, but I know its for the best and I think it will be really good for DP and I too, just little things like being able to chat in bed instead of tip toeing in and out of the room.
So thats our news. Also in cloth full time now which is sweet.
Hope your all doing great,
Luua, RESPECT to you for BFing twins!!! That is inspiring for sure, Winter is so easily distracted when feeding these days, I cant imagine having another one on the other side! :)
Blip:  Woot about the tooth! Must be the day for it. Oliver and Daz can be tooth-buddies, lol :).
Peach: At least you got that support at the sleep school, and you know you're doing the right things. Some bubs are just harder to get to sleep I think. *sniff* Awww about Winter moving into her own room. Oliver is still in our room, and I'm such a softy, I'm so not ready for him to move into his own room yet, even though I bet he'd be completely fine on his own. That's so, so fantastic that she's sleeping so well at night now though! Maybe that's what she needed? Maybe she could sense you and your DP in the room and it distracted her? Who knows, but you must feel so good to have that all the extra sleep! Great about full-time cloth too! :)
AFM: Our heatpump is all installed now! We can't use it yet though, cause we have to wait for the electrical company to approve everything... apparently it could be 2-6 weeks! So annoying!
sterla: aww about the heat pump! yay Daz has a teething buddy!
AFM: well i was wrong. we have TWO TEETH. both bottem ones! i thought it was one but tonight NOPE two. no more munching on mummys fingers! ohh and i've also given up on "teething toys" darren likes munching on soft toys FEET. well.. Mr pineapples feet. but i bought a new toy so Mr pineapples feet can 'dry out' lol.
Hope every one is having a good night!
We have our 2nd tooth! Hana now has 2 bottom teeth. The first one has really sprung up in the last week. You can now see it clearly when she grins. The other one cut through on Monday.
Poor Mae has no teeth yet but its not holding her back she is like the cookie monster. I could keep shovelling food into her mouth.
Ella loves her sisters (for now) and the grin and kick their feet when they see her after daycare. But lately she wants to pick them up but I dont think she understands they have a body. When she tries to lift them up she just grabs their head! So funny despite the tears...
Daz and Oliver - Congratulations on the teeth!
Our girls are sleeping in their own room. (our bedroom) while we are out in the living room. They do sleep better in their own room. I wish we had a spare bedroom to put them in. (sigh)
Ann
ann: aww thats cute about mae! the image i had in my head was rather cute. im glad things are going well for you!
AFM: Daz has his Jabs yesterday :( pore mite was gizzleing for most of the afternoon! but i can understand why - hes become so much more aware in the past 2months he has the right to grizzle! no more untill 12 months though  had a friend over last night and made a rost. i didnt burn it! this was a a friend of mine who came into hosptial to see me and daz - not long after daz he was take to SCN. which was nice. tonight is off to mum n dads. lets see if they notice my nose stud LOL.
Hope every one is having a good day/evening/night!
Blip: Awww, poor Daz with the needles :(. At least there aren't any more for 6 months!
So you haven't told your parents about the nose stud then? Haha, wonder what they'll think?
Luua: Yay for teeth! That's so sweet about Ella and the twins :).
How is everyone else doing?
AFM: Pretty quiet around here. Oliver and I went to Rock & Rhyme today and talked to the other mums from my MG that go. Oliver was trying to hold hands with a baby boy there, which was very cute! Afterwards I had lunch with mum.
Well, better go. Little Mister has woken up.
Hey Girls!
How are we all going? How was everyones day?
Blip- Heheh hope you dont get into trouble from your folks about your nose stud. Are you still loving it? Thats the good thing about piercings, once you get over them you can take them out and no-one would ever know you had them. Poor Daz with his shots :( Winter still hasnt had hers as she was sick and Ive kind of been putting it off and not mentioning it so DP dosnt take us... I hate vaccinating her :(
Good to hear you didnt burn your dinner... unlike my garlic bread tonight which was blackened by moi.
Sterla- How are you lovely? How is Oli? Im meant to be starting rock and rhyme with SIL next week cant wait! Thats great you have met some other Mums. How is your mg going??
Luua- How cute Hana has teeth but not Mae. At least you have one gummy bear still. And that is too cute about Ella picking them up heheh :)
Moose- Where for art thou?!?!?
So not sure if I mentioned last week I got roped into getting photos taken of Winter in the middle of the local bogan shops? Went to look at them today and was SO dissapointed! The main one I liked was blurry! One of them was good so Im going back tommorrow to have another look with Mum and maybe get it.
Had mg in the park today which was nice, really comfortable with them all now which is great. Not much else going on...
Hope your all well!
Peach: That's great that you are going to Rock & Rhyme! I bet Winter will love it :). That's no good that the photos didn't come out very well.
How is Winter going in her own room?
I have MG again on Monday - our first meet up since the official ones ended. Some of the other mums said they really missed not having it this week, so we're going to suggest having it weekly for those who want to.
It is absolutely pouring with rain here today!!!
Anyway, Oliver has woken up, so I better go. Hope you're all well.

AFM: been a semi. quiet weekend. no wait. i lie its been crazy. friday down here in melbourne we had crazy strong winds. got a knock at the door. guy selling foxtel. tell him to go away, he saw daz on the floor and says "ohh you have children you need fox tell. you only have one child?" and i said "yes, one child another two on the way *evil smile*" he goes "ohh you really need fox tell then dont you?" and i turned around and said "no we need to use protection. cant afford foxtel. bub-bye" *slam door* evil much? then DH gets home. then another knock at the door. and im ready to get stuck into who ever it is. it was the guy next door. telling us one of our trees has fallen over. the fence between us. which is kind of handy as its a cruddy fence and we need a new one. fast forward to saterday. FIL comes over at 9am. with a chainsaw. and STARTS CUTTING. gah. people next door have a dog. DH goes off. i call my dad about types of chainsaws. DH in his anger wants one. long story short. my dad did it. DH and i cut the rest out. aaaaaaaaaaand DH and the guy next door laughed at me when i tried hammering a nail into the old fence...only to stop laughing when DH couldnt do it eather! then last night DH and i had a "drinking night" well...i did. and no hang over for meee (and thats 4 cans a jim beam, 2 bundy and cola aaaaaaaaaand one home made 'cougar and cola' ) today is a relaxing day for us. tomorrow DH is back off to work *sigh* but next week is the start of the month of 'late shift' which is 10am-6pm so i dont see DH from 9:20am untill 6:40pm.

Hope every one is having a relaxing sunday!
:wiggle:
Hello Ladies,
have been catching up on everything I have missed since we went MIA to Cairns, glad to hear you have all been well, and welcome to Luua!! I think Lauren is one of the last gummy one in the group, although DH thinks there might be something coming through on the bottom.....will have to wait & see. Sorry no personals tonight, basically to cut a long story short our 4 days in Cairns turned into a week and half as I was in hospital for a week - sorting out my meds. Do hope you are all non-judgmental, I feel you all are, so just to give you some background; I was diagnosed with bi-polar (manic depression) at 19, which I have thankfully learnt to manage fairly well most of the time. Unfortunately that also means I was very susceptible to Post-Natal (PND) which I got as soon as Lauren was born. Anyway, alls well that ends well and I am back on track with it all & will be flying solo without DH starting tomorrow. I am pretty sure I will be OK,:crossfingers: plus I have great family & friends support.
As for our munchkin, she is rolling everywhere now, from one side of the room to the other and today even out of the lounge room heading down the hallway! Can't believe how active she is now. Her 6 mnth check up went really well (even though it was with the MCH nurse I dislike the most!) so despite the fact that she only drinks one bottle a day she is still growing and has finally reached 6.7kg ye-ha!!! She is also re-hashing the old rasperries again, which she now does nearly 24/7 - can get difficult trying to feed her milk jelly in the midst of all the rasberries I tell you! Anyway, sorry for the long post will check in later this week for personals, gotta love my DH who has a roast waiting for me. ;) Hope you're all having a great night.
Hi ladies, sorry its a rather selfish post,im really worried about summer, shes refusing her bottles, shes fine with the solids still but is having 2 bottles in a 24 hour period max!!Its been 3 days now,i dont know why.Funny little bubba. No other news, she has her injections thursday so i might ask the doctor then.No other excitements, just had a bit of a disagreement with DH,im surewe have the only baby who still hates tummy time and hasnt yet rolled!!!How embaressing!!haha. He just thinks she will get it in her own time but shes getting older and the months are ticking by!!
yvettemj-sorry to hear you were in hospital!Hey noone here would ever judge,im sure!!My Dh has it also so i sort of know how hard it can be,thankfully he is now on the right meds too, hope so for you too!How cute about the raspberries!Summers out of control with them right now too!As for being the only gummy bear, nope Summer has no sign of any either, lots of dribble, chewing etc but no toothies.Hope you enjoyed your roast!!
Hi to everyone else, chat more later, night
Good evening mummies
Blip: Yeah, I had heard about the crazy winds. That's no good that you had all that business with the tree and fence. Glad you and DH got to kick back and have a few drinks. I've still barely had anything to drink since (and before) Oliver was born. I think I've had a half glass of wine on two occasions, but that's it. Yay for no hangover!
Yvettemj: Had been wondering where you'd got to :). I'm sure no one will judge you here . I hope everything is okay now. That's great that you have family and friends for support - it makes so much difference. Lol at Lauren's rolling! Oliver can only roll from tummy to back, so he can't roll across rooms yet - must be fun! :) Oh, I know what you mean about raspberries! Oliver has rediscovered raspberries for the third time - except this time around there is heaps and heaps of spray involved!
1PJ: No idea about Summer and her bottles. I hope she's okay though. I think most bubs go through times of refusing bottles (or boob) - it's pretty normal. Hopefully she'll get back to normal. Don't worry about the rolling too much (I know it's hard not to). Bubs learn to do things at different times. I bet some bubs don't roll at all and just move straight onto other things.
Peach: How are you and Winter doing? Lol - funny tipsy Peach :).
Moose: Have you drowned in that pile of washing? Should we send for help? Lol .
Luua: How are your girls doing?
Antheia: Hope you're having an awesome time on your holiday! :)
AFM: We went on our first little family day trip yesterday, to have lunch with MIL for her birthday. We drove 1.5 hours, and Oliver was an angel and slept the whole way. We had lunch with MIL and BIL, and Oliver got lots of cuddles and enjoyed chewing on MIL's necklace. He was a happy boy most of the time. The weather was pretty awful though, so we didn't stay on and just drove home after lunch, and Oliver slept all the way home. He slept more yesterday through the day than he usually does, but was still a very tired boy by the evening.
Oliver has been on banana for the past few days and seems to really like it - more so than anything else he's tried. We finally had our first 'banana poo' today - I was expecting it to stink, but it didn't - just looked really funny!
We had a pretty quiet day today - my sister was over and we were making a photo book for my Dad for Father's Day. Ooh, speaking of Father's Day - what do you all have planned for your DH/DP?
Busy week ahead for Oliver and I: MG tomorrow, Playgroup Tuesday and Rock & Rhyme Thursday.
Hope you're all well
Evening ladies - How is everyone doing?
Well, Oliver and I had MG today, and it was really good. I got a chance to chat to lots of other mums, and Oliver was in an especially happy mood which was great. Oliver was having great fun talking to another little baby called Oscar, being hit in the face by a little girl called Jasmine, and wooing a little girl called Ella... I think Ella may be Oliver's first girlfriend, lol - she seems very taken with Oliver. I so love watching all the babies with each other - they are so cute!
Hope everyone else is well.
ello my lovely ladies!
Vyet:  there is no jugement here. if you ever need some one to talk to just PM me. im happy to listen (walking the long road of normal depression here..) glad to see lauren is gaining waight! thats always a good thing!
Pj: aww poor summer. i found daz was thingy about taking his bottle after his jabs too. i hope she's doing better
Sterla: wow you've been busy! glad MG is still going well for you and Oli has made some "friends". its always nice when they beat each other up (in a cute way!) hows the weather down there for you?
AFM: the crazy, crazy weather continues. last night it even woke DH up. and daz ended up in bed with us (we have a big gum tree in our back yard and we where worried i'd fall down...but its ok  ) but FIL wants to get up aladder today and try and cut some of it down (i think NOT...)as the winds are still really strong and they're ment to be bringing more rain with them tonight. which should be fun. it was also MIL birthday yesterday and some one *cough*DH*cough* forgot to tell me! so today will mean (once he's home from work) i'll be running around down the shops for a pressie and a card! other then that. its rather boring here...
I suppose i should go a tackel that mound of washing and the small sack of washing up!
I hope every one is having a good day!
:wiggle:
Hello Ladies,
Just wanted to say thanks so much for all your support, and for not judging me. You have all helped me through my worst times without knowing it. Even when I was at my lowest I had always made the effort to read what you were all up to from day 1. Although I wasn't posting it still made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone and gave me something to relate to - so thanks to you all. :grouphug:
1pj: If you ever need anyone to talk to about Summer not drinking bottles, believe me I am here for you!! Lauren is down to no bottles at all again now, so she has four servings of milk jelly instead :wall: :crossfingers: Summer improves soon for you, feel free to PM me anytime if needed. BTW my roast was awesome, I am soooo lucky my DH cooks every night of the week, I am not a cook at all.
Blip: Do hope all that crazy weather down there improves for you, all my family are pretty much down there, so I am a bit worried about my grandmother too. Hope the weather doesn't make Daz unsettled. Lol about your DH not telling you about your MIL bday. My DH often forgets important things like that as well & springs them on me at the last minute - men!
Sterla: You have been a busy bee this week. Lol about Oli at MG, he sounds so adorable. Glad your family outing went well, I think those times are really lovely to share as a family. Last Saturday we caught up with some friends we hadn't seen for ages, plus one of my best friends (she also has a 3mnth old) it was really nice to have time together as a family outside the house for change!!!!
:hello: to everyone else, hope all your bubs are doing well.
AFM: Had some really nice time with my mum today, (we are very close) she couldn't get over how much Lauren had changed since she last saw her. My mum is into theatre, so she was showing Lauren some of her routines for her current show and she loved it! Lauren was giggling & laughing & giving her lots of smiles, it was really cute - perhaps we will have another showgirl in the family yet :D Then this arvo I visited a friend who I met through our now non-existent MG, and it was really lovely having our bubs play together. Her bub is a month older & was sitting up interested in watching Laurens rolling antics, was quite funny. Then as she had not slept well during the day I ended up putting her down at my friends place & she was great & slept until DH arrived & we all went home. So all in all quite a pleasant day :) Off to Gymbaree again tomorrow then catching up with my best friend, :crossfingers: she has better sleeps tomorrow. We are going through a heat wave atm, so DH & I are thinking about putting an a/c in Loz's room, will have to do some research into it all. Hope you all have a great night.
HEllo everyone,
No I have not yet drowned in a pile of washing, although, since starting solids, the washing went up 5 folds! lol I am sorry I have been the worst baby buddy ever but since I've been back from Melbourne, its all been a bit crazy around here. Might do a quick update on ourselves and then move onto personals
We had a bal in Melbourne, stayed with friends the first 2 nights. They have a 4 mths old and a 2 year old, funnily enough the 2 year old was actually quite threatened by Sammy, everything she touched was: "no sammy, mine" lol! On the 2nd day, the men went shooting and women went to the markets in Footscray and it was awesome! We came back and baked a cake and a roast for Dh birthday dinner while all 3 kids had a ...wait for it! 4 HOUR NAP!!!!!!! I kept going back to Sam and chekcin on her. Mind you she didn;t sleep that well as their house was SO HOT, poor poppet is not used to it and kept waking up at midnight on both noght nad the minute we checked into the hotel, she slept through...then we had 2 days staying in the city. We went on a huge walk around town and went to the Queen Victoria Markets and Sammy was awesome through it all. She had her 1st tram ride and plane ride as well and she did so well, no crying what so ever!! Since we've been back, we've embarqued onto our crazy time of the year, it happens EVERY year for the last 6 and basically, it starts with my DH birthday as well as 3 family member early August. Dh best mate the week after, my SIL & my nephew late August, my best mate early Sept, 2 good friends mid Sept. Mine early October and it goes on and on and on til Xmas..AND on top of it, we just got given a 60 day notice to vacate our unit :( The landlord sister, who owns half of the unit, needs to move back in. So i am on my 3rd glass of wine to digest the news. We really love living here and with DH 's work move lately, we may move away from the Northern Beaches and I LOVE IT HERE, so lots of talking to do with DH. Because we are building the house at the mo, its all a bit hard as we are a bit strapped for cash..anyway. All I can say is that I am NOT looking forward to move but it may work out in our favour as we do need more space.
As for lil Sammy, she is just the light of my life. She is so interactive and is a hair away from crawling, She gets on all 4's and is rocking back and forth. For the newer mums in the group, Sammy was rolling at 4 months, so she is a bit more ahead on the motor skills...last week, we caught her eating a plant ! LOL We've had some teeth moving in and out but I think another one is coming soon, she has been unusually chucky and whingy..MY GOD< THE WHINGING is driving ME NUTS!!!!!!!According to the unrse its only starting and will be like thta for the next 3 months..yay!!
We had her 6 months check today and she is 7.33kg and doing really well. Every time I look at her I now realise how much she has grown since she was a little gremlin in our arms, now she just makes gremlins sound all the time! lol We find her in all sorts of positions in the cot, legs up and through the bars, on her tummy, side, its hilarious. We got given the thumbs up on the check so that was great to hear. its great watching their little personality coming through. I think DH and I are in for a VERY active and independant child...a bit pig headed too I reckon (she gets that from DH :P)
Enough of me... some quick personals
Blip: wow Dazman has got some pearly whites!! YAY.. that weather you guys are getting must suck big time! oh and I love the new stud ring..what did your folks say?? too funny about the foxtel guy, are you sure you don't need it? You and Dazman are looking fabulous, keep goin girl!
Sterla: you';ve been a busy mum too, and Oli has some new pearlies as well!! Just saw the last pictures of him too, he is soo cute! Sounds like Tas has had some nasty weather too.. Your dirst family day trip sounded awesome. Oli being his good self good behaved child :) and yes I totally agree the bubs are hilrious when playing with each other. Sammy always grabs everyone else everything..hair, face, feet clothes! lol
Yvette: My SIL has bi-polar and has just had a bubsy who is 7 week old, the whole family is on the PND watch but she is doing really well so far and is not on meds. but she went through a really tough phase beforehand and getting the right "****tail" is always a hard one. feel free to PM me too if you need to talk :) LOL at Lauren rolling around everywhere! I remember when Sammy started doing that, and you're like..I;ve been wanting her to crawl/roll /move for so long and the minute they start, you;re like...geez it was a lot easier when they didn't LOL
1PJ: the piccies on FB look awesome, Summer looked she had such a good time! Hope that you have settled back in ok. AS for her not drinking the bottle, are you feeding her solids at the same time?
I hope things calm down a bit for you soon.
Antheia: Hope you are having a great time, you sure are having some nice weather!
Luauu: Hope all is well with you and bubs!
Peach: haha about being tipsy! it does feel good to be able to have a bit of fun again doesn't it?
HOw is Winter?
Well, the next few days will be no doubt very busy real estate hunting and we are away for the week-end to babysit my nephews. Will try to keep up and let you know how we go
Moose xx
Holy LONG post!
Hi Ladies,
Moose: My folks are in Melbourne and we'd love to visit too but we might wait till the twins are older. Travelling with 3 under 3yo is a nightmare. Great news about the rocking. Sounds like she'll keep you busy once she's on the move!!
Yvet: Milk jelly? Wow that sounds like hard work! Lauren sounds funny rolling around everywhere.
Sterla: Glad Oliver loves bananas. Our girls are not impressed with them. But i'll try again next week... But we love everything else! They eat soooooo much I'm shopping constantly for fruit and veges but then again I've got two hungry little mouths to feed ;)
1PJ: Hope Summer is drinking more. Is she still having 6 wet nappies? On the rolling - dont worry. Ella didnt roll till she was 9months old but she was talking in full sentences at 19months so she may end up being a talker rather than an active girl. Looks like Hana and Mae will be the same. They are talking all the time (to each other)
On the weekend we took all the girls to the beach. Cant believe we're doing this in Summer! Anyway it takes us 30mins to get everyone in the car and half way there we realised we forgot the food! Doh! Ella loved splashing and making sandcastles and the girls got their first dip in the ocean.
good morning ladies!
Moose: wow busy, busy girl you've been! thats cool about the tram ride. they're not so nice in the middle of peak hour though. did you meet any of our lovely ticket inpecters that ride the trams? thats a bugger about the flat your in! i hope you guys find a bigger (and better!) place soon. when do you guys move down here? Melbourne Town is pritty cool (minus driving though it in a datsun 120Y in peak hour!) hows sammy going? crawling yet? my nose stud my mum just rolled her eyes at me my aunt didnt care and well...dad didnt even seem to see it! (or any one elsethat i havent shown) and yeah, we dont need foxtel. if we got it DH would never want to TTC #2!
lu: aww thats cute about the sand! at least you rembered not tooo far away from home! i have a question do you still b/f the twins whilest out and about? how do you do that? (if you dont mind me asking)
AFM: been strange few days. had some personal issues so kind of i guess shut down for a few days. but feeling better now, kind of. but other then that daz is really getting into the whole rolling thing. had MG yesterday and one of the bubs is rocking on all fours! which is pritty cool. (hes the youngest bub there too!) im wondering if darren will do that soon. its scary that the bubs are all growing up soo fast! mind you the last week or so i've become 'clucky enough to lay an egg" according to DH! but we'll wait (like we planned :wall: untill the end of this year. )
Any whoo i better go and clean this house up!
:wiggle:
Hey ladies - just popping in quickly to share a small woohoo. I did my first ever public breastfeed today, at the library after Rock & Rhyme. It's taken me long enough, lol - but I did it! Yay .
BBL for personals.
Hey all,
I know I have been MIA from this thread for like forever but I just keep telling myself I'll get to it next but never do!
Master L has 2 teeth sitting just under the bottom gum waiting to arrive! He is chewing what ever gets in his mouth! He has started to crawl which means this house needs major baby proofing!
Slowly starting on solids!
Hope everyone is well
Lots of Love
SugarDust: Wow, it's been awhile! Glad to hear everything is going well with you and little L. I can't believe he's crawling!!! What a clever boy!
Blip:  Hope everything's okay. I know what you mean about bubs growing up too fast. I can't believe Oliver will be 7 months so soon! Waaaah!!!!
Luua: That's nice taking all your girls to the beach. I don't think we'll be doing that for a while - considering as here in Tassie it's pouring down with rain 90% of the time these days. Oh no about forgetting the food, lol!
Moose: You have been a busy, busy woman haven't you!!! Sounds like you had a great time in Melbourne :). I know what you mean about birthdays, etc all grouping together. November leading into December (and Christmas chaos) is my crazy time: mum's birthday, 2 aunts birthdays, 1 uncles birthday, my birthday, wedding anniversary, non-wedding anniversary... then a bunch of friends have birthdays early December! Hope you get through it all without too much stress :). That sucks about having to move - believe me, I know! I'm a pro at moving, unfortunately  I hope you find a place and the move goes smoothly and quickly.
Yvettemj: How cute about Lauren laughing at your mum's routines - cute!
How is everyone else doing?
AFM: Well, Oliver and I have had a super busy week, which I have loved! Monday we had MG which was so nice. I mentioned about Oliver playing and talking with the other bubs. Tuesday we went to Playgroup at my lil sister's school (for her Child Studies class). Oliver had a ride in some box cars/boats/trains, played with some balloons and watched us blow bubbles. I think most of all he loved watching all the other little people running around. Afterwards we met up with a teacher at the school who taught me all the way back in Year 9. I was one of her favourite students, and she's been hearing all about me and Oliver through my sister and wanted to meet us. She asked me all about uni, etc, and I don't think she was overly impressed with the fact that I changed degrees, am still studying and have no idea what I want to do after I graduate . Anyway...
Wednesday, Oliver and I went to the house of one of the mum's from my MG. We have a mutual friend, and she lives opposite my parents, so we already sort of knew each other. She has a 9 month old baby girl. We got along pretty well which was good, and Jasmine and Oliver had fun playing next to each other on the floor. Jasmine's a bit rough though! She kept sort of hitting Oliver, and at one point she grabbed onto Oliver's bib and yanked forward! They are going to come to my place next Wednesday, so that will be nice.
Today was busy again. We had Rock & Rhyme in the morning, and afterwards I spent about an hour chatting to the other mums from my MG (that was when I did my first public bf). Afterwards I met my mum for lunch, then bought Oliver some maracas, and some new clothes. Phew...
Tomorrow is the one day we don't have any plans.
Oliver has gone back to waking up three times a night the past few nights though :(. Not sure why, but I hope it passes. Last night he was up at 4.30am for a feed, then didn't go back down until 6am!!!
Hope you're all having a great night :)
good morning ladies!
sugar: yay for Master L having teeth - its where the fun starts isnt it?!
Sterla: Woo for the public B/F  well done. who cares how long it took? you've just proved you have faith in your body and hopefully your confiance will grow from there on in! as for not knowing what you want to do once finished uni. just wait and see! i know before i had dazi finished a tafe corse and i havent used it yet! what will be will be, and besides being a mummy is so much more fun then work (minus the lack of sick leave :p )
AFM: well we had the first true "sleep though" today. went down at 10:30pm last night, woke up at 6am! now that'd be really good right? WRONG i was up at 5am made DH's lunch and expected daz to be up. so i went and laid down in bed (temping fate he;d wake up) but NOOOO he slept till 6  but he's been good. had quick 15min power nap mind you! but its off to medicare today to hopefully put the paper work in for the gas rebate (taken long enough :eyeroll: ) i ran into the guy who lives over the road from DH and I. i hadnt seen him in like 6 months (no joke!) and found out today his wife left him at the start of the year. she'd been (so he said) having an affair. he looked so gutted. i feel sorry for him. he seems like a nice enough guy. but there is always two sides to a story...
other then that? i have a cold. well a snuffy nose bought on by what happend over the weekend, some one told me its the bodys way of clearing out all the negativeity (i can only  thats what its doing) any whoo i better do wash the clothes i have sitting in the basket next to me!
Hope every one is having a lovely day (down in melbourne its kind of nice!)

Hello Ladies
Hope you're all having a good weekend.
Blip: Glad to hear that Daz slept through for you, that's great. Sometimes I think we take it for granted that Lauren has slept through since she was 8 weeks, but then again we've also had more than our fair share of other problems! Can't believe you wake up so early to make your DP lunch, I hope he appreciates it :)
Sterla: Sounds like you have been super busy, well done on the public b/f that's great. Hope Oliver likes his maracas, Lauren has some & she loves them, they are her favourie toy atm. If I were you I wouldn't take offense to you Grade 9 teacher & her views on your academic efforts. It took me 5 yrs to do a 3 yr degree (partly bcos of my condition & partly) bcos I swapped into a double degree halfway through, then decided I didn't like it. Although yes I did finally graduate, have I done anything at all with my Uni degree?? Nope. And even though I am in a nice permanant govt job, is it really what I want to do? not really. But it has enabled me to do other things, like taking 12mnths mat leave with 20weeks of it on full pay, so there you go. I like to think of life as a journey, we're here to enjoy the ride. Do hope Oli's sleep settles down for you :crossfingers:
Sugardust: wow on master L's crawling, he must be keeping you on your toes! We also sadly need to start on baby proofing the house sooner that I thought, I think Lauren is very close to crawling & as she has now figured out how to open the doors on our entertainment unit, have to do something about that very soon!
Luua: Sounds like you had a fun filled trip to the beach. Yes the milk jelly is in lieu of the fact that she refuses to drink ANY bottles. So four times a day we strap her in the high chair & hope for the best with her solids. I have learnt that as a parent you do what you have to do. :)
Moose: Sounds like you had a great time in Melbourne, you are making me homesick for it all!!! Do hope your SIL continues to go well, that is fantastic she is doing it all off her meds, thanks for your support. :)
AFM Lauren had her first swimming lesson this morning & it went really well, she looked quite comfortable in the water - wondering if we have a water baby on our hands! There was lots of splashing like she does in the bath, it was very cute, I think maybe she just thought she was in a giant bath!! My DP represented his State in swimming when he was younger, so maybe she will take after him! She has been so active lately, getting very close to crawling & opening cupboards etc not exactly what I need right now, but I am coping. I also have a case manager now who specialises in bi-polar & peri-natal so that is great, she will be visiting every week now. Lauren has also been really fighting her day time sleeps, and she woke once last night about half an hour after we put her down, which is VERY unlike her. I think I vaguely remember one of the child health nurses telling me if your child sleeps well, the 6 month mark can be where things start to go bad. Anyone else heard this theory??? Sometimes I just don't know whether to keep persisting with her arvo nap when she is fighting it so much....ah well, its all trial & error I guess. Other than the sleeping & the teething, she has been good so I can't complain. Hope you're all having a great weekend.
Hi Girls,
Just a quick one to let you all know we are still here. Been busy as usual.
Good to hear everyone is going mostly ok. Our group is huge now!!! Good to hear from you Moose! Big :grouphug:

Hi Peach! :D
Hi!! Oh tommorrow Im going to the rock and rhyme!
That's awesome! Hope you and Winter have fun!
I had Oliver weighed this morning, and he'd only put on 40g in 2.5 weeks. But that can't be right, as in the past few weeks I've started having to do his MCNs up on the next biggest setting, and his hands and feet are noticably chubbier. Oh well.
How is everyone doing today?
 ello peach!
sterla: i know the feeling about the whole "OMG NO WAIGHT GAINED" yet they look chubby! my MIL said 'we didnt have this when *my* DH was a baby. its too stressful for mothers" Oli Look soo cute in his MCHNS!
why do boys feel the need to be all 'manly' when it comes to work around the house? DH and FIL have cut down two trees in two days (well not right now...BUT) the latter of the two trees stuffed up the fence (on the other side to the one the tree fell on :wall: ) sometimes i wonder about men...they're not always very bright are they
We have a second surprise tooth!!!
Oh go Oliver! Woop! Hey did you have him measured at the same time? He may have grown in length and maintained weight if that makes sense? How are the nappies going? I ordered some more covers for at home when i use terry and they sent the wrong size, so when they resent out the right size they put in a free minky for Winter! How sweet is that?! I was so stoked!
Blip- :hello: too funny about the testosterone thing :)
Good morning ladies :).
Please excuse my post if it comes out all weird, but I am suffering from some severe sleep deprivation here... had the worst night - up 5 times, then awake at 5.30am for the day. Longest span of sleep - 2 hours. Lots of waking up but not wanting a feed, so rock to sleep, then put down and wake up and start crying again... repeated several times :wall:.
Peach: How did Rock & Rhyme go? Did Winter enjoy herself? We are going to ours tomorrow, but then it has a break while the school holidays are on :(. What else are you and Winter up to? I can't believe she's almost 7 months! That all our bubs are almost 7 months! Where did that time go?
Blip: lol about the 'manly men'. How is Daz going? Love the new pic in your ticker :).
How is everyone else doing? We're so quiet here these days - I miss all my baby buddies *sniff*
AFM: Well, apart from the terrible night's sleep, we're pretty good here. The electrician came back this morning and switched everything over, so now we can finally start using our heat pump - hooray!!! It's so nice and warm!
Oliver has stepped up his babbling in the past couple of days - he's doing lots of 'babababas' and 'mamamas' - it's SO CUTE!
Also, he is getting very close to being able to pull himself to standing. DH told me that when Oliver had his bath last night, he had to spend most of his time trying to stop Oliver from basically climbing out of the bathtub, lol.
Oh, and DH and I have finally decided to move Oliver into his own room. Peach, you got me thinking about it, and we've finally decided it's time. We just need to finish Oliver's room off a bit first, so it will probably be in the next few weeks. Sad, but I think it will be good once I've adjusted (more so than Oliver, lol).
How is everyone going getting Father's Day presents organised? For my DH I am giving him a two-window frame - on one side it has Oliver's footprint (which was SO hard to do btw) and on the other side a nice poem I found on a thread on BB 'Walk a little slower daddy'. I'm hoping he likes it.
Hope everyone is well.
good morning laides!
peach: how'd rock in rhym go? winter enjoy it, did you?
sterla: aww that sounds like such a good fathers day pressie! YaY about the heater working! thats grate to hear! but aww about the wake ups! i know that babies sleeping can go all haywire when they're learning a new skill - to teething. :hugs: i hope you can have a nanna nap today!
AFM: been fairly boring here. getting solar pannals put in tomorrow (hopefully- they keep trying to changes dates and DH is taking a day off work...if they dont show up DH told me I can call them and blast them. nothing beats mummy rage!) we also have a MCHN appt tomorrow as well, so we'll see how big DJ's gotten! he's loving his apple oats in the mornings now. almost ate a whole tin! (plus 270mls of milk all up!) he's also worked out ( i think?) how to almost commando crawl? he's worked out the back end LOL but the arms side of things...slowly getting there! its scary. he'll be 7 months old in 6days??! where as the time gone? peach speaking about testorotone....DH thinks we're in a TWW  we had some...ahem...adult fun and neather of us eather though/wanted to interupt it....twice. so DH is thinking i could be UTD. me? wouldnt have a clue...so we'll see i guess! (i dont think i am...but who knows...that'd make two, for two supprise babies!) other then that its fairly boring. for DH's fathers day i've been told to get him an MJ book and CD  Ohh and we get to see his brother and his wife on fatherdays day. DH and i BOTH hope they dont bring photos of their dogs again. JIC they do. im taking the album of DJ *evil laugh* i cant help it. my stupid SIL thinks dogs trump babies? i think not baby puppy (and if we are UTD she'll hate me *even more* 'cus we'll have two kids...)
Hope every one is having a good day!
:wiggle:
HIya ladies,
just popping in once again to say hi. Things are MAD around here at the mo, with us looking for a house which is 45 minutes drive from here (not in any traffic) as well as getting ready for our loing week-end away and nana's 1st babysitting job. We are both SOO looking forward to let loose and not have to worry about getting up the next day to look after Sam. I know I will miss her like crazy but mummy and daddy need some adult time!
So sorry that's all the time I have to post, seriously, got to get back to cleaning the house and start packing, or slowly putting stuff aside and call a few RE agents to organise viewings of houses.
Will catch up most likely on Tuesday and tell you all about the week-end!
