moose-poor sammyand pooryou!!!Summer was the same its lke they hate being blocked up or it frightens them, well it was with her,the best thing that helped was my sisters oh cant think of name think its a ventialter you keep it on in there room at night helps them breath,it was great she slept better with the cold once i got that going!hope better soon!!

PJ- Good to hear you had fun with your friend, wasnt it a scorcher yesterday?!?!!? Man it was unbearable! Hope your hair appt goes well today. I usually get my hair done in the city, I used to pay full price there but now I get raining cuts, they are so cheap and they look as good as a ful price cut! What colour are you going?
Seriously, 5 months late for rolling, better late than never!
Well I just spent all morning in the dr's. Last night Piglet's temp was 39dg and this morning she was still boiling so we rushed her down there... she has a virus and Dr said to keep an eye on her for a rash or a cough. Our usual dr wasnt there so we saw another one who had been highly reccommended... well I wasnt a big fan. I got the biggest lecture for not vaccinating. After we missed her 6 month ones DP and I decided we dont want to jab her... anyway he had a big go at me. Douche.
Sigh! Well good news, Winter slept through again! Except for that STUPID dog behind us woke her up at half 9 I was so ****ed. But yes Im getting used to nice sleeps
Hope your all having a great day, so nice and cool here, Loving life!
Wowee, almost 600 posts!! Watch out!
PJ: How are you? How did your hair appointment go? Hope it went well.
Peach: Oh no, poor Winter . I hope she's feeling better now. Stupid doctor - it's not their job to lecture us! That's great that Winter is still sleeping through though! Hopefully she's finally clicked that night time is for sleeping - I wish Oliver would! Yay - 600+ posts!!!
AFM: We had a crappy night here last night - Oliver woke up heaps, and was so difficult to get back down. Then he woke up at 5am and wouldn't go back down - so I took him into bed with me and he finally drifted off again. Anyway, I felt so tired and lethargic all day. I visited a mum from BB, which was good for getting out of the house. Her kids are so cute .
Not much else happening - I'm hoping I feel a bit more lively tomorrow.
Was your night last night better than the one before Sterla? Thats awesome you have another BB Mum to visit nearby you, Its good to get out on the flat days rather than staying in I think.
We had the worst night in months last night. Tried getting Winter down three times, eventually she settled only to wake up screaming as I was drifting off around 9, DP couldnt settle her so she came into our bed and slept there.. actually not even boob would settle her, she ended up sleeping the night on my chest being patted and rocked, so I was in and out of sleep all night. Today she is still not herself, we've given her as much nurofen as she can have argh its awful. Going back to drs tonight.
Peach: Awww, poor Winter and poor you . That's no good. I hope she's okay . Yeah, it's so nice having a fellow BBer around - it's Arimeh actually (you may know of her, she's right into MCNs).
AFM: Another crappy night last night - down at 7.30pm, up at 8pm, up at 10.30pm, up at 2.30am... then after that I lose count... he just wouldn't let me put him down. At 6.45am I woke DH, and then I had a small sleep till 7.30am. He isn't having enough sleep during the day either. He's a little clingy at the moment, and off his food a bit... my guess is that he's teething... mainly because he's had these huge dribble patches next to his head while he sleeps. He doesn't dribble that much through the day though... So confusing.
We had Rock & Rhyme this morning which was nice. A mum I hadn't seen in a couple of weeks was there, and her baby boy just started crawling yesterday! Very exciting. Oliver and her bub (Oscar) were crawling around everywhere . Then we had lunch with my mum and came home in a very, very hot car - Oliver wasn't happy . He's in bed now - hopefully in for a big sleep .
How is everyone else doing? Surviving the heat? We're hot here today, well, hot for Tassie - 29 degrees!
That sucks you had a hard night, Winter is off her food too Its stressfull! You must be like a walking zombie Sterla! I wonder if it is teeth for Oli?? Is he rosy? I know of Arimeh, I think anyone on here who has ever asked a question about cloth knows of her Is it weird meeting someone IRL that you have spoken to heaps on here? As in like already having an impression of them?
Winter has had one 15min nap today. Argh. She is still clammy and hot.
29 degrees heheh I guess when your used to freezing climate that would be hot...
Peach: I'm not a walking zombie now - but for the first 1-2 hours after I get up for the day I am. I'm used to living off not much sleep - it's nights like last night where he won't let me put him down that are hardest.
No, Oliver isn't rosy cheeked or anything like that, which makes it harder to tell if it's teething or not.
It is weird meeting people of BB IRL. I think I had a different idea of Arimeh, but she's still really nice and funny. A lot quieter IRL than she is on here, but now that we've seen each other a bit we're a bit chattier - plus her kids are really cute and excellent icebreakers... like her DS was asking me yesterday after I'd been to the toilet... "You went to the toilet" "yes" "Did you do a poo" "No" "Did you do a wee?" "Yes" "Oh..."
That sucks about Winter - hope she feels better soon.
Anyway, I better go give Oliver his lunch - baked beans. I think I might take his high chair outside in the shade to save some mess.
Haha nice one with the toilet commentary I really hope his sleep patterns settle for you soon. Have you thought of maybe trying to get your DH to settle Oli without boobie involved? Nights like last night does he just suckle? Or cuddle?
Well Ive tried getting Winter down for another nap like 3 times Im giving up. And my nipples are so sore from her suckling non stop the last 2 days, she is full velcro baby.
Hope Oli enjoys his beans!
I haven't ever really tried DH getting him to sleep - I think I'd have to be not in the house for it to work. I get too distressed hearing him cry. I usually start giving Oliver a feed, but it still ends up with me rocking him to sleep - very tiring now he's so heavy.
Velcro babies aren't fun
Lol - I think Oliver enjoyed his beans... well, the bits that actually made it to his mouth.
Hi Oli!!
Remember when we could just carry them to the cot with one arm? Winter is so lanky its impossible now. Oh I forgot to mention I weighed her on tuesday, 11kg. Which is lucky now she is refusing food
Its hard hearing them cry, and Im not an advocate for leaving them by themselves, but if you havnt tried it imagine if it worked?!! You know Oli better than anyone though, so feel free to ignore me
Fat chops is finally down for a nap! Poor Bub, back to see our regular dr tonight who can hopefully shed some light on whats going on. She is still 38dg and so sweaty and clammy
I have realised that I've dug a bit of a hole for myself by being the only one who can settle Oliver... I will try to get DH to get Oliver to sleep one of these days, when I'm ready . I'm such a sook - and so overly attached to Oliver.
About the sleep stuff though, I was just talking to my dad about it - and he suggested doing something as simple as just putting Oliver to bed a bit later. So, I'm going to try that tonight... Oh, imagine if something that simple solved all my problems!!!
Wow Winter is such a big girl!!! How long is she? I had Oliver weighed and measured on Monday - he's a tiny 8.66kg and 71.5cm long now.
Poor Winter - give her a for me. Good luck at the drs this evening.
I just remembered PJ asked what time we put the Bubs down at night. Winter was going down at 6pm but the last week or so it has been average 7.30.
Thanks Sterla, I will give her a cuddle from you. We just got home from 2 HOURS in the dr's!!! Waiting for Winter to wee so he could count out a UTI... and she didnt wee by the time pathology closed, unbelievable!!! Like the longest she has ever gone without going! He said it is probably a virus but wanted to check it out anyway. And now my throat is killing me
Alright, Ive had FAR too much BB time today Im going now, goodnight and Ill be back tmrw
Oh as for only being able to settle Oli, if its the way you like it than who cares... and I know what you mean about being overly attatched, I feel so weird when Winter isnt by my side... even when DP is pushing the pram instead of me it feels weird.
Peach: How are you and how is Winter? Your trip to the drs didn't sound like fun .
How is everyone doing? We've been a bit quiet (well, apart from me and Peach, lol).
AFM: Had quite a busy day today. Heaps of washing to get done, heaps of dishes to do... and a little boy who wouldn't sleep for very long and was grizzly and super-clingy (very unusual for Oliver). Also did a HUGE grocery shop, and went into Target to look at baby gates. I think from about 5-8.30pm I didn't sit down (apart from eating tea)... so flat out... Exhausted now.
Like I said, Oliver was quite grizzly and clingy today, which is unusual. I'm still trying to work out what's going on with him... teething maybe, or perhaps this separation anxiety I've been hearing so much about has finally kicked in?
Oh, and Oliver and finally started saying 'dadada' - he's spent all day saying it! And we've also discovered that he tries to say 'hello'. When we've been teaching him waving we always say 'hello', so now when he waves he says 'eh-oo' - so very, VERY cute!!!
ello ladies!
Peah: Gaww i hope winter is ok hope you got some kind of reson why she's been so up set (teething? they can get a temp when teething - so i've read!) Dj was off his bottles for almost a week - i put some Bonjela on his gums tonight and he had almost the whole thing (160ml from a 260ml bottle) maybe thats part of it? and WOW she is a big little girl!!
Sterla poor you and poor Oli. im like you - and most of the time DJ will settle for me (much to the horror of his nanna ) but do what makes you happy! no point in making your self upset about it! and i hear you on the dribble patches whilest alseep! i had a snooze with DJ and my arm was COVERED in dribble! ahh men. gotta love em' ay? hope you get the cool change down in tazzie, we had it come though today.
AFM: been a busy week! DH had the week off so we've been doing "Family things" hehe. went for a 'day trip' on tuesday. we got home nearer to 11pm! which was nice. we worked out we did 450km from 11am - 11pm. thursday we went to my mum and dads for a swim. DJ was a little funny at first in the pool but once he got used to it - he loved it! in the end i was dunking him under (and me too!) and he was all giggles! today was a day of running around - we have a wedding tomorrow night and DH didnt own a suite jacket so we bought one. and tomorrow = a 2 hour drive to the wedding and then the wedding and staying in a motel with well just about ALL of my dads side of the family (the motel has a buffet brekkie how they'll deal with ALL of us i dont know! haha) then sunday = 2hrs home and then monday is relaxing and tuesday is "back to normal" or something
We told my family about bundy, they where happy *gasp* i was expecting the whole "its too soon" lecture from them but NOPE they where good. about it

Sterla-Thats no good Oli was clingy the other day, is he back to normal now? Did you end up getting a gate? You should google to see if there are any baby markets around you, the ones up here people sell their gates for like ten and fifteen dollars. WOOHOO for Oli saying Daddada! How awesome is it?! How was the rest of your wkend?
Moose- Hello!! Are you guys better?
AFM- Now DP and I are both sick which is totally lame. Hopefully it passes quick. Winter is happy as larry and its crazy, we think she is being possessed by an old asian lady as she is talking constantly now and thats what she sounds like! Even my mum commented on how low her voice is. Weekend here was good, Ive been driving heaps more now and am so close to getting my license which will be SO good when I finally get it. Ah sigh better go, got nappies to hang out and if I dont do it Ill stay on here till Winter wakes up no doubt. :P
