Nai - thanks for your encouraging words! I'm not sure I will get time every day - especially when kindy has 8 weeks holiday in July and August but am hoping for at least 3 days a week, one for each subject a week... we'll see. What did you do your masters in?

Narelle - I'm so sorry about your grandfather!

Snowy - Congrats on your Pink news, thank you for letting us know! and very best of luck with your studies. Wonder Woman!

Nai - thank you for letting me know you received my email. I really very much appreciate any help you are able to give us
I hope you're feeling better now.
You also sound like a wonder woman! I dont think i would trust my mind to be able to juggle children/babies/pregnancy etc... with study.

Today we celebrated Ben's birthday at playgroup (yes, almost 2 months later!). We went away for Ben's birthday, then i was sick, then we had holidays... Dh had the day off so he came along. It was a really nice morning. We make cookies for all the kids and decorated them with smarties. I thought i made too many and we would have some left over, but they were a huge hit and the kids kept sneaking more (parents too i think!).

I thought I had posted the other day... hmmmz..

Narelle - so sorry to hear about your grandfather - and on his birthday! Sending you a big hug.

Nai - oh so similar area. I have 3 subjects at the moment: investment theory & company valuation, strategic marketing & international marketing and last but oh so not least: time series analysis and application to empirical captital markets. It kinda assumes you have just done a statistics course and my statistics course is 10 years ago when I did my BA so lots to catch up on. The thing is that I can freely chose my subject and I stupidly picked 2 rather hard ones (the first and the last) ... doh! But they do interest me... so... out come the books with formulas... I will have to see what text books I have at home. I have a few here in Oz on Investments, so I can look up stuff there but have nothing here on Statistics so when they throw all these formulas at you, I have nowhere to read up on what it all means (and I seem to have forgotten all of it) .. anyway.. enough about uni... I did have a good study session yesterday when our old nanny came, so am feeling confident for 2 of the 3 subjects now and have already started the first two out of 5 assignments.

Katie - post some pics of Ben's party! I don't think he cares it was 2 months late.. not at that age at least. hope you had a fabulous day

Teena - see you in 50 mins - well, I am definitely showing, so...
yes it goes quickly, doesn't it. I have passed the half way mark!!

Zara is saying so much lately - it's so cute. I love this whole speech explosion that's going on. Curious to see how Allegra and Zara will get along today!

Snowy, I've made an entry on my blog (see "visit kaydee's homepage"). I was able to take a couple of videos with my camera too.
Funny thing is that in our Spielgruppe is a little girl who was born 3 hours before Ben at the same hospital. I remember hearing her mum giving birth - because when my contractions started i tried to get a midwife from the labour ward, but they were all busy. I remember them coming out of the delivery ward when i went in. They dont remember us though, but i suppose she was in happy land from just giving birth.

I hope you and Teena had fun catching up! Let us know how the 2 girls got on.

Nothing much to report here. I took Ben to a park near a huge lake yesterday. It was a beautiful day but he wasn't in the mood. Then going shopping afterwards wasnt the best choice either. I might just take him for a ride down the canal on the back of the bike today.

    Hi everyone!
Thought i might bring this thread back to life!
I'm feeling really guilty at the moment. Reason being, we applied for a place in Kindergarten for Ben (starting August) and we got word back a couple of weeks ago that he got a place. We enrolled him and plan to send him 2 mornings per week. This morning at playgroup the mums were talking about who got a place and who didnt. I felt really bad because we really didnt mind if Ben got a place or not, I dont plan to go to work in Germany - plus chances are we will be moving back to Australia in Jan 09. There are 2 kindergartens in our (very) small town and not many places for 2 year olds. One of the mums said they were devistated her son didnt get a place because she planned to go back to work after Summer.

We took Ben to the Zoo yesterday. His new favourite animals are monkeys. The weather is warming up nicely so we are able to get out and about more often. Dh and I went to a concert on Friday night... So we had a lovely weekend.

Nai - Thank you so much for the help :-) I will be sure to let you know how we get on.

Ah don't feel guilty Kaydee, its not your fault and Ben will probably love it so think of the positives So you are planning on coming back to Aus next year? What are the plans, how exciting for you if you do.

Not much happening here, Milla is 5 months now and going great, just started rolling and is generally a happy little thing, the second baby for us has been sooooooo much easier, although she is pretty laid back so i guess that helps

Harry is good, has started role playing and has a baby dinosaur that hatched in an egg and now it gets nappied and washed and put to bed and dummied lol its pretty cute actually, can't believe how grown up and how much they get at this age, he understands so much now its so fun to watch them grow hey

We really don't have much news, i'm okay, getting there health wise, have my first period since having milla and its never bloody ending, i hope it goes soon, i have the tendency to worry A LOT if things don't go normally hehe so having a long period stresses me i'm sure its just settling back into a cycle and will take time but man it sucks!!!

Anyways how is everyone? Come chat

No problems Kaydee, as I said happy to help. I hope the information is useful for you. Don't feel guilty about Ben as Jan 09 is still a long way off and he will benefit from the kinder experience. Genevieve just LOVES childcare and has really developed in the environment. Her ability to assert herself and communicate what she want to other children is really strong now.

Wilson, I hope your body settles down soon. It's trying when things are all over the place cycle-wise. We will be TTC #2 shortly so I came off the pill and it took 6 weeks for AF to make an appearance so of course I was stressing (which doesn't help).

    Hello Ladies,

Narelle- I am so sorry about your grandfather Take Care

Snowy- Congratulations on the pink news

Teena- How are thing with you? 17 weeks already. That has gone quick!

Wilson- I hope the bleeding settles soon. If you are worried then maybe go and see the dr or give them a call. But I am sure it is just your body trying to get back into the swing of things

Katie- I wouldn't feel guilty. You deserve to put Ben into kindergarten as much as anyone else and he deserves to go as much as any child does. I am sure he will love it

Teena and Snowy- BOOHOO I missed out on a meet Serves me right for not checking in here enough! I hope you ladies had fun though

Us- Kayla was sick 2 weeks ago. Started out as croup then turned into a cold and cough. She has finally recovered and me too (I caught the cold off her). She is going well. She is a little miss catterbox these days. And she has taken to saying mum to me instead of mummy Makes her sound so old LOL. She doesn't go to daycare or kindy yet, but we will be putting her into kindergarten next year once she is 3. Not much else happening. We are STILL TTC, so I am very patiently waiting, although the patience is wearing thin LOL.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you. I hope you have a wonderful day on Sunday!

We are going to a breakfast with DH's family then my family is coming here for lunch. Should be a nice day.

Great to hear from you all!!!!

I know Ben deserves the place as much as any other child. I know it will be really good for him

Been a bit stressful at home, we have been going though a bit of a worry about Dh's work. VERY long story short, Dh isnt going to sign a new contract that starts in October (it would have locked him in for another 3 years!!!) - so looks like moving to Australia is getting more real every day. Our plan is for me to move back to Oz with Ben in Dec/Jan and Dh will follow as soon as his last exam is over (Feb/March). Getting everything organised for the Visa will be time-consuming, but it will be well worth it in the end. Dh is telling his work today that he will be leaving as soon as his current contract runs out. Scary stuff, but exciting at the same time

Nadine - I keep thinking about you, wondering if you have been sucessfull at TTC. I (still) wish you all the luck in the world. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Wilson - i hope everything is fine. I'm sure it is, perhaps just see your GP for reassurance?

Nai - The info is VERY useful, there are so many companies that i would have never thought of. As soon as we start the ball rolling, I'm sure we will be contacting you for some more advice.
Very best of luck to you too with TTC! Exciting!

    Take care!
    Katie.

Thanks Katie, but unfortunately we still haven't been successful. I just have to TRY and be patient. Kayla only took 4 cycles to conceive, so I have no idea why it's taking so long this time. Oh well. I guess it will happen when it is meant to. Atleast I am young hey

Thankyou all for your messages of sympathy on the lose of my "Pa".
It wasn't unexpected as he had been battling cancer for nearly 2 years yet it was sudden. My dad was in with him the night before and he look so well and was so alert. But he did say to my dad "your home now"...my dad and mum had gone away for the weekend...we think he might have been saying he's ready to go?

My poor dad and mum have been really affected by this a lot more than i think they realised. My Pa lived over the road from us for 50 years and would pop it everyday at least once...even when you were on the loo he would knock at the door saying he was in the kitchen waiting for his cuppa!
It's been a little over six weeks now and poor Zara still cries for him...some nights she just lies in my arms asking why did my great pa have to die? she's so switched on. at the gravesite she didn't want to say goodbye as the coffin was being lowered because she would come back and visit, she would only say "see'ya later great pa".
Even as i type this i can't stop the tears from flowing...he was one pretty special guy.

On a brighter note: my kids are wonderful. all growing fast. Zara is 5 in 5 weeks, aiden is 2.5 and cale is 6 mnths were has the time gone. Our house reno's are nearly finished, kids finally have there rooms with carpet! we have our room, just got to get the bathroom finished and living and dining areas done inside. A bit more work to do outside but i don't care bout that, just want inside done!

    I hope everyone is well

    Take care

    Hi Girls!

    How is everyone?

Zara is toilet training right now. We have days where we stay dry all day and then days (like yesterday... arrrrg) where it goes wrong half the time... so hopefully we'll be totally there soon.

She is still her very stubborn little self. So funny, so sneaky and sometimes so fragile. She is getting more and more independent and every day I get the "No, I do it on my lone" several times from her (putting on shoes, putting on clothes, getting in the car seat, etc.). She wants to do everything on her own (which hey, is fine by me.. Wolf still can't put on his own shoes or pants.. little pasha... maybe it's a boy thing? or maybe a lazy first born thing?)

The pregnancy is going well. My belly is getting bigger and bigger (was greeted with "Hey Fattie!" on the weekend and got the "u sure it;s not twins this week as well )

Zara likes looking at the belly and wants me to pull up my top to see the naked belly in the most inappropriate places and if I don't, chucks a tanty.. so I've been flashing my naked belly all around town in order to keep the peace, lol. She gives it a cuddle and says "Hello Leni" and claims she has a baby Leni in her belly too.
I am so curious to see what she will be like as a big sister.

Tomorrow in 2 months will be the caesarean! Scary thought! Not that long to go (which is fine, things are starting to hurt).

I am also looking at furniture for Zara's room (it's just Wolf's old toddler bed in there right now, a mirror and an old chest of drawers which will go into the guest room soon). I was thinking Leni and Zara could share for a while... but who knows. Zara seems to be happy in Wolf's room and all her clothes still fit in his wardrobe and chest of drawers so maybe the room I had allocated to Zara will become Leni's room.. who knows... But I better hurry since every where seems to have 4-6 weeks delivery time so I better make up my mind soon.

    Snowy
