Hi Girls
Kel - Yes, my other three boys all get eczema, and the youngest of the three is EXTREMELY hypo,, his paediatrician thinks alot has to do with fool intolernaces and additives, so we are slowly doing an elimination thing with him atm, and he is on EyeQ supplement to help with it. To add to the situation,, my husband has a severe nut allergy,,, any nuts, or any nut product cause severe difficulty breathing,, and vommiting, so that is why both my gp and the ECHN were so keen to keep Griffen away from food till the "magic" 6 month mark.
Unfortunately fate had other ideas,,,, and when the nurse saw his weight the last time I went in,,, her shocked look and her reply of "oh crap" said it all.
As I said in one of my lasts posts,,,, it is not his actual weight that is to problem,,,it is the fact that his weight gains plummetted and now he is losing weight instead.
He has been eager for a while to try solids, and was getting soo fussy when it was our dinnertime,,,,, so now that we have finally started giving him the plain farex,,, he absolutely works himself up into a state!!!! I have to hold both hands away, as he frantically grabs the spoon from me and shoves it into his mouth!!. He squeals if I am not quick enough,,, and it is kind of like a very fast conveyer belt,,,, constant shovelling,, or all hell breaks loose and he starts screaming.
Even after having about 1.5 tablespoons of the farex powder, mixed,,, he chucks up a fuss,, until i then let him have his spoon to play with for a few minutes,, then he calms right down and practices putting it in and out of his mouth hehe.
I get him weighed again next monday,, and am going to see what veges and fruits would be classed as low risk so i can give him a variety. I also think that to add healthy weight to him,, he needs more that plain farex.

I am also wondering if the downfall of his weights etc,, is causing him to be lethargic and not want to play as much,, as when i put him on the floor for play, he will sometimes turn onto his side,, but then go straight back ointo his back again. He has no desire it seems to try and roll over,, and even on his tummy,,,, he lifts his head and lifts his chest a bit,, but makes no effort at all to roll then either,,,,,,,,,,,I am not sure if he is just taking his time to get those skills,, or wether he is being held back a bit, as he is no where near as energetic as he used to be when he was putting on nice amounts of weight.
Anyway,,, how are the holidays treating you all?
Ryn - Wow!!!! Leib is a super baby!!!! Sitting unaided,, and standing with a little support!!!,,,, before you know it,, he will be running hehe.
I really hope his dinners can now tide him over for you so you can both get some more sleep!!, but that really does sound so cute of him to wake mummy up so gently he really must be a little gentleman hehe.
Anyhow,, I am still nursing this horrid flu,,, so I best be off to bed
