Kel - The others are right on the water thing. Your fore-milk is much more watery than the end fatty milk, so on hot days (like always here at the moment!) Ruby likes to be on the boob a lot but only for a short time - kind of like a quick drink rather than a good fatty meal IYKWIM. If that's what bub is doing though you need to make sure you have heaps more water yourself so you don't get dehydrated as that can slow your milk supply.
MG - not good that your little sweetie has a cold Ruby is just getting over one and was really fussy for days! It was scary to hear her snort and cough. Not nice at all, I hope she is better very soon.
Kittykat - I hope Ella gets better soon too. - there seem to be a lot of sniffles going on at the moment!
