Karlie -- hope Jakes cough is a little better. There is a nasty viral cough going around that last for a long time, but if it is asthma at least he will more than likely grow out of it.
Prama - glad to hear poopy is better. Sorry to hear about your Mum, does she have to have any intervention after her heart attack??? I was a mess when my Dad had his heart attack -- 15years ago now. It must be hard not being able to see her and give her a hug.
Well been very busy, Nicholas had a reaction to his 4year old needles and was quite sick for a week, had the measles type rash high temperatures and generally pretty miserable not eating etc etc ( oh and GRUMPY!!!!) Sophie has a cold and is cutting more teeth and has decided that a one hour sleep during the day is plenty thank you very much. She is my walking tornado -- I can't remember the boys being so messy.
I have been working a few extra shifts to help out and have to work this weekend also. Add kinder duty, reading at school and committee meetings no wonder I feel like I am on the edge.
Esme -- loved your story! I was driving the other day and nearly got run into and said "Jesus watch where you are going" and Nicholas spent the rest of the day repeating it every time he saw a car. he he he
Ok must go and organise dinner and then have to sleep as am working Night Shift for the next three nights.
Oh also DP is working in New Zealand for a week or so coming up so I think I am applying for holidays so I can cope while he is away!!
We are now back in Perth and I, um, have some news. So much for saying to Jen that I would not be joining her in pg land for a while yet.... On Thurs (the day I left for Perth) I did a HPT test and got a BFP You could have knocked me over with a feather! I don't even know how far along I am as I never even got AF back! I only did the test to rule it out, I didn't think for a second that it would actually be positive. I am not getting too excited yet as I have no idea what is going on and with having had several m/cs before, I don't have much faith in a BFP. I have made an appointment with an OB for three weeks time so I guess then I will know a little more. I am not feeling too good and hadn't been for a bit but still did not twig that this could be the reason!!
Of course, please don't say anything on FB (I'm sure you wouldn't anyway), as no one IRL knows at this stage.

I had a dating scan done during the week and looks like a mid Jan bub here. So I guess if all goes well, we will be telling people around July. How do people cope with a toddler and a baby?
Bun - Congrats!!! Has it sunk in yet? Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Hope you don't have too long to go to get past the first trimester , just take one day at a time. Love your new photo of Catherine; so cute!
Prama - Good to hear Poopy is so much better. How is your mum?
Sue - I hear you on the 1 hr sleep; Jasper's nap is on average 1hr 10 minutes.... The upside of that is that he is in bed by 6.30 pm, so I get my me time back at night. It doesn't sound like you got much of that lately .
Jen - How are you feeling? Hope this pregnancy is treating you well. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy too!
Jasper is recovering from a cold with quite a bad cough. The vapourizer seems to help a little, he slept reasonably well last night. I think I am getting it now though, have a headache and a sore throat. Ah well, winter is upon us, can't avoid it anyway, better get used to it... It is raining here now; finally, we really need it here. Hope we get a decent amount. OK, that's me for today!

poopy's heaps better.. we have the vapouriser running at tnight and he seems to sleep better too. maybe the air has more moisture too, and they can breath better. it gets so dry in winter.
he's getting cheekier and cheekier.. doesnt want to hold hands when walking, doesnt want me to feed him. he's learnt fr daycare to feed himself properly.. he shakes his head left to right when i try to feed him, but hten forgets when he's concentrating trying to get food on his spoon, so i get to feed him. so i feed him andhe feeds himself too. he's doing a pretty good job and not too mess.
he's also got this thing for shoes now. i have to keep looking for my shoes. he tries to wear them and walk around the house!! but only puts on his right foot. so i have one shoe in one room and the other some where else!
anyway, to whinge..
steve and i havent been so good. i got really upset the other day. i asked if i could have someone come clean the house as my mother's day present (emailed all the info etc) and steve said ok. and nothing's happened since. I waited and waited but nothing. so i asked him when is it happening. and he goes, i thot you were going to organising it.....
i said what's the point of a mother's day present if i have to do all the organising etc.
the whole mess in the house is because he puts stuff everywhere. im constantly cleaning and he's messing it up..... like, he leaves dirty utensils on the chopping board and i keep washing it up. ive told him even if you dont want to wash it up, can you pls leave it in the sick,(just need to turn around to put in the sink). so that it doesnt get all dried up and yucky and now lakshman is trying to reach for things on the chopping board. and Im worried abt knives etc.
everytime i get upset, he says he's sorry and will try to do better and nothing's changed. this ihas been going on for the last 5.5years.
i've told him many times a messy house gets me even more depressed on top my my PND.
I'm just so tired of cleaning and cleaning and getting the same results every time, and it's really getting to me. and steve makes promises and nothing changes.
i jsut feel everything abt the house is on my shoulders and cant cope anymore...
Oh hun, , men can be so set in their ways that it is near impossible to get them to change their ingrained habits.... Could you just organise the cleaning lady yourself so you don't have the housework to worry about anymore? I know it would be so much nicer if he would have done it as a gift, but it sounds like you really need to take some pressure off yourself right now. Thinking of you xoxox

Ok so I have been absent for a few reasons..Just recently I got flooded in at My parents house in NSW and haven't been able to get online, and before that it was just one thing after another Ad was away for 3 weeks, We had friends move in with us from NZ and now they are moving out, Zane got sick with a cold, I had gastro for over a week and that was hideous.
Zane is going great, he has moved into his big boy bed now for his morning sleeps, Has 4 teeth with 4 more coming through, He's clapping when he does something he thinks is cool, Shrugs when something is "gone" and two handed waving "hello" and "bye". Such a clever little critter, I can't believe he is changing as fast as what he is. Swimming lessons have been on the back burner we start up again tomorrow for our cath up lessons and then every saturday morning after that.

Can't believe it's the 1st of June....Where has this year gone? I feel like I blinked and it was christmas.
I got all my hair chopped off...ERk I'm now sporting around with a blonde bob... Not sure I like yet, it's growing on me, But soooo much easier to look after.
Well not much more time for me...I'm cooking a pork roast and need to get the vegies underway.

Congrats to the preggie mums!! Sending you lots of positive sticky vibes. It's great fun if a little challenging have a toddler & a newborn but the best thing is that I found I was more relaxed and informed so didn't stress the little things as much 2nd time round. i had more realistic expectations of sleep and feeding issues etc.
We're good here - my DD1 is almost 3 yrs old and has already told me last week that she's 'not a baby anymore' and she also asked for a pink iPod!! Not on the same day, but gives you an idea of what she's going through at the moment - she must think she's 13 yrs old or something!!
Amelie (15mths) is practically running and very happy too. Also loves shoes and balls and is also a walking tornado.
I've given up on trying to keep the house tidy - it's just too hard. Both of them are constantly pulling toys and things out of drawers and despite me getting them to help tidy up at the end of the day, the house is constantly in disarray. They both want to help with the washing up & laundry.....but it's chaos.
Amelie is still waking 3 times a night or thereabouts and it's been 13 months since i've had a full nights sleep. We're off to the UK next week (i'm flying by myself with the kids!!) for a couple of months, but when we're back, i've been accepted to sleep school as i just can't continue like this. Sleep deprivation really is torture.
Anyhow, I'm trying to prepare for this flight - my mum said let the kids do their worst and no one will want to sit next to me and we may get a spare seat to spread out on!!
Hi Roya, great to hear from you! You will have to give Jen and I some tips on how you cope with a baby and a toddler! I am beginning to get a little worried! And good luck with your trip. I just travelled to Perth and back on my own with DD and found it really hard, and that was only 10 hours! I hope it goes well and they are good for you. I think if DD was a little older I would invest in one of those portable DVD players so I could just put a movie on for her to keep her entertained for at least a little while! Oh and I love what DD1 said - all grown up at the ripe old age of three and already wanting a pink ipod! That's classic!
prama - sorry to hear about the troubles with DH. Guys just don't get it sometimes! My DH would do exactly the same thing, in fact he did once after we had a huge fight about him never cleaning up, he said he would get a cleaner, but of course never organised it, never arranged the key, leaving the money, etc, in fact left it all up to me to organise! Grrr.... men. It must be so hard for you coping with work, a bub and housework when it always seems that most of the housework and child-raising falls to the mother, even if both parents are working full time. I know that is what would happen with us if I was working and I would probably be feeling exactly the same as you. It seems I have escaped going back to work though now that I am baking another one! Thinking of you, I hope you can work something out.
sonya - I am glad to hear from you too, I wasn't sure what was going on with you. I was about to start stalking you on FB to see what was going on! It sounds like you have had a pretty hectic few weeks, I hope things calm down a little now. I have finally settled DD into daycare but it took a long long time! She only goes one day a week and is quite happy there now. I hope you have some luck with DS! And wow, a big boy bed already!! I don't feel like DD will ever be ready, she is so little and squirmy still and I reckon she would just fall out all the time but we will be needing the cot soon!
esme - aren't vapourisers great?! I finally bought one after DD had a pretty bad cold a couple of weeks ago and she slept through the night! I should have got one sooner, what a life saver!
Hi to everyone else.
I am pleased to say that despite my fears, this pregnancy seems to be going well! I convinced myself the other day that it was all over so went for a scan yest. I even told the sonographer that I knew it was all over. After being quiet for a while, she said it all looks fine! I am 7 weeks and due on Aus Day! I saw and heard the little heartbeat, got some pics and a CD and I am totally stunned! I was so so sure it was all over and had even told DH on skype and had him all upset about not being here. It was great to be able to tell him it's all ok and he is so happy! Only two more days til he gets back and I can't wait! Of course it is still early days yet, but I am pleased that it is going well so far. I have my first OB appointment next week!
Hi girls, I cant be long because it's Tara's 5th birthday today, and I have to bake cup cakes for 18 kids.

Prama, I had to train my hubby to respect what I do at home. I make him vacume, put washing out, and cook tea on weekends. Its alot of naging,crying, and fights, but its worth it.

Roya - Good to see you back in here! Sorry to hear bub isn't sleeping too well. Hopefully sleep school can sort that out for you; sleep deprivation is torture. I really admire you for taking two littlies for a trip overseas. LOL, I told my parents we won't be coming over for the next 5 years at least!
