We had a much better night last night. Jared's still waking every 3-4hrs, but that's completely normal and I can cope with it as long as Ben sleeps or DH is home - which he was last night. Unfortunately DH works five nights a week, sometimes six so it makes it difficult. If I remember correctly though, Ben was much better after five or six weeks so I'm hoping that Jared will be the same. I know you shouldn't compare your kids, but they're so similar in looks and temperament that it's hard not to!!!
Jo, that's great that that routine is working for you. I've never tried to follow a routine, I just go with the flow, I don't think I'm disciplined enough to stick with it!
I can't remember who mentioned the hug-a-bub? Me-Lisa? Anyway, we have one and LOVE it. It was absolutely wonderful with Ben and I've already used it a couple of times with Jared. They both loved/love being close to me or DH and with the HAB you can even bend forward and their head is supported so you really are handsfree. I know it looks complicated to tie up, but really it only takes one or two goes at it and you are an expert. I used it up until I got pregnant again, so Ben was a year old and still loved being in it. I'm finding it really handy now when Ben needs me and Jared wants to be held.
