As for the dummy thing, I WISH Jared would take one. I have tried seven different types of dummies (spent $17 on a pack of two that were supposed to be 'just like mum' the other night) and he spits them ALL out! Drives me nuts because he likes to suck to go off to sleep and usually my breast is his dummy

Orange, I agree that it's a nice place here. So many different people and parenting methods and no judging. If only the whole world could be like this!

We went to the community nurse again today for his 6-8 week check. He's even more of an oompa now, 6.2kgs - far out! He's almost off those growth charts. No idea how I got such a big baby! Jared is now the same weight at seven weeks that Ben was at three and a half months. What a chunk! He seems to be having a growth spurt at the moment too - last night he fed at 10pm, midnight, 3am, 5am and then again at 8am. And when he feeds he really, REALLY feeds. Poor starving child - obviously he's fading away to nothing
